(Basic Income Guarantee):
💥 Basic Income Guarantee (B.I.G.) aka Miniumum Income Guarantee aka Universal Basic Income since Trudeau is introducing it as another sweetener to get re-elected, another piece of candy stolen from the Provinces Constitutional Rights.
I'm not against the BIG idea per se because it worked in Alberta just before Pierre Elliot Trudeau changed our banking system. Alberta used the people's money (like Lincoln greenbacks) printed interest-free by the Central Bank of Canada, and it was paid back during the ten-year experiment. Trudeau Sr. killed that arrangement and started borrowing from the international bankers which has cost us trillions in interest since then. That interest could have paid for a guaranteed minimum income supplement. It was the only successful experiment in the world. All the rest of them have holes in them and were dropped by the countries that tried it. SEE ATTACHED.
It's not the same thing as a Guaranteed Minimum Wage. A universal minimum wage has a dark side when people getting paid under the table take jobs away from folks paid higher wages. The underground economy pays no taxes nor CPP and may be also receiving social benefits.
You can do your own research by checking out the following websites. The best one is the first one since it describes the experiment that worked in Alberta under the Social Credit Party ("Socreds") which was founded in 1935 by Christians not Communists. It had nothing to do with Tommy Douglas and the CCF or NDP.
