1. Main cone activity is scarce and intermittent, predominantly fumarolic activity.
2. Eruptive activity concentrated mainly on the northwest flank, where the accumulation of pyroclasts has led to the formation of a cone of pyroclasts with strombolian and effusive activity that emits lava flows that do not occupy new territory.
3. Small landslides occur inside the crater; Blocks are transported away by the lava flows.
4. Most of the energy flows through the north zone and the center zone of the old flows.
5. Meteorological conditions are favorable for operations of the La Palma airport.
6. Air quality is reasonably good in Los Llanos de Aridane and Tazacorte and good in the rest of the island.
7. Seismicity at intermediate depths has increased in the last 24 hours and has been located in the same areas. The number of earthquakes at depths greater than 20 km has also increased.
8. Latest data available on the affected area continues to be estimated at 1,163 hectares (29 hectares more than yesterday).
9. The southern lava delta is about 48.03 and the northern one is about 5.05.
10. The column height measured today has been 3,500 meters and the steam development cloud reaches 5,200 meters.

Outsmarting the Powers-that-be:
💥We all remember the miracles that stuttering Moses did when he, through Aaron, asked Pharaoh to "Let my people go". But do we remember the matching signs and wonders performed by Pharaoh's confident, smooth-tongued, wise men and sorcerers?
[Exodus] {7:10} And so Moses and Aaron entered to Pharaoh, and they did just as the Lord had commanded. And Aaron took the staff in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants, and it was turned into a snake. {7:11} Then Pharaoh called the wise men and the sorcerers. And they also, by Egyptian incantations and certain secrets, did similarly. {7:12} And each one cast down their staffs, and they were turned into serpents. But the staff of Aaron devoured their staffs. {7:20} And Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had instructed. And lifting up the staff, he struck the water of the river in the sight of Pharaoh and his servants. Now just think about this for a momment. Every-time this "nobody", a stammering stranger named Moses who once had connections 40 years ago, tries to impress Pharaoh with some "magic spells", he is check-mated by Pharaoh's inner court of wise men. So what's Moses to do? He curses the firstborn to death. Will the sorcerers copy that? No way! The remaining eldest sons inherit the leadership. It would be "bye bye" to the sorcerers too! So they give up. They give up copying God. And it's "Go with our blessings" to Moses and his people who load up with treasure for the journey to "worship in the desert" (as if they're ever coming back). God has not so much outperformed them, but outsmarted them.
All this should be an important lesson for today.
First, it's an obvious reminder not to be deceived by today's false prophets, wise men and sorcerers, nor any "aliens" that might appear to enchant and convince us that our firstborn should be aborted in an act of demonic revenge.
More importantly, behold the 10th Plague is a prophetic picture of proof that it's not by signs and wonders, not just by supernatural power, but by the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit, that Jesus gained victory for himself and us. And people don't see it coming.

WaPo’s Philip Bump blasted for bizarre criticism of Trump-era SCOTUS picks:
💥💥For his cringeworthy attempted takedown of the conservative wing of the U.S. Supreme Court, the Washington Post‘s Philip Bump found himself the subject of mockery for raising a series of bizarre, utterly irrelevant pieces of trivia about the circumstances surrounding several of those justices’ ascension to the bench, as Fox News reports.
In an article for the Post, Bump began by referring to justices appointed by former President Donald Trump as the “minoritarian third,” noting that Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh had been “nominated by a president who lost the popular vote and [were] confirmed by senators representing less of the country’s population and who had received fewer cumulative votes than those who opposed the nominations.”
Bump’s attempt to somehow cast illegitimacy on a decision – should it be handed down next summer – overturning or significantly altering the landmark abortion case of Roe v. Wade was notable not just for its reliance on odd electoral minutiae, but also its blatant disregard for how the American system of representative government is organized.
As such, its author was on the receiving end of voluminous scorn and incredulity from the Twitterverse, with legions of social media users taking to their keyboards to point out the absurdity of his take.
Remarking on the intellectual contortionism likely required for Bump to come up with such a strangely irrelevant observation, Tom Elliot of Grabien wrote, “I hope you didn’t hurt yourself coming up w/this.”
Alexandra DeSanctis Marr of National Review sarcastically expressed gratitude to Bump, tweeting, “Thank you for these truly meaningless facts.” [Main Street Gazette]

The Omicron variant may be a blessing in disguise since it is a microcosm of the last 20 months. Covid is a serious infection and can be very dangerous to some folks, but we’ve learned so much and we should not behave as if it is March or April 2020. South African doctors, including a member of South Africa’s medical association who identified and now treats Omicron, are doing media rounds to convince journalists that there is no evidence that Omicron is more dangerous than Alpha. South Africa is not experiencing an increase in deaths or hospitalizations and almost all patients to date are experiencing mild symptoms.
But the reaction and fearmongering by governments is completely disproportionate. The fear feeds the narrative, the narrative feeds public opinion and public opinion shapes government policy. In turn, government policy is disproportionate and causes harm, leading government to justify its own actions by feeding more fear and the cycle repeats itself.
We are seeing more evidence that “lockdown is deadlier than covid”. This week the Toronto Star wrote about a report commissioned by the Canadian Medical Association which found that thousands of Canadians died from delayed surgeries. That number will grow as Ontario’s backlog of surgeries is over 250,000. Add approximately a million cancer screenings missed, an almost doubling in the amount of deaths from overdose and most Ontarians are beginning to realize the magnitude of the catastrophe caused by the Ford Government in the last two years.
We are now focused on at least two major issues.
- First is the defense of Ontarians who made a different medical choice than most Ontarians. The travel ban and loss of employment shall be regarded as one of the greatest acts of intolerance and discrimination in Canadian history. I invite you to review my social media for the last month for evidence in support of the proposition that those that vaccinated transmit just as easily as those who are not and that the vaccine wanes after 6 to 8 months. The vaccinated and the unvaccinated alike, must stand up for all Canadians.
- The second frontier is the health and capacity of our healthcare system. During Thursday’s question period, I asked the Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, for the number of NET NEW nurses employed by Ontario’s hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic. She did not have the courage to answer. Hospital capacity is quickly eroding but Doug Ford is silent as the Science Table recommends new restrictions due to shortage of staffing. We must end Doug Ford’s mismanagement of Ontario’s healthcare system.
I will continue to serve my constituents, shed light on Ontario’s catastrophic pandemic response and stand up for all Ontarians without a voice. Let’s continue to grow the number of Ontarians that seek a fair narrative, a functioning healthcare system, the freedom to work and a return to normal.
