Holy YHWH, the clouds are gathering. We clearly see it—we who listen for your voice.
We know you said these days would come and we were to prepare. But how does one wrap their mind around something they’ve never before experienced. We who live in the west—who live lives of excess and pleasure and freedom. We have not really tasted the bitter pall of persecution so how could we prepare? Yet you gave us all we need in your word.
You call to us daily and wait for us to be still and listen.
You prod us to cast aside the distractions that keep us from walking in the garden of the soul with you.
You knew we could never be ready for all that is coming upon the earth and so you made a way.
And you continue to make a way.
Thank you that you go before us and push aside the thorn trees and smooth out the path and cast aside the rocks and debris that would make us stumble.
Give us eyes to see clearly Father.
Give us eyes that are blinded to the things that really don’t matter so we don’t fall into temptation.
Help us to plug our ears to the fear mongering so we can settle into your abundant peace and security.
We know you hold all things in your hands and so we ask you to change the things you are willing to change and give us endurance for the things you have foreordained to be completed. Make us joyful witnesses in this time of fear and uncertainty. Surround us with your angels so we do not become voices that are silenced when your truth needs to be heard more than ever. Guard us from padding your truth with our agendas.
Glorify yourself in our words and actions today in Y’shua’s name and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
