Today is Remembrance Day. At 11 o'clock, we will take a moment of silence to remember the Canadians who fought and died in the wars and conflicts our country has been a part of. It is an unfortunate flaw of humanity that we must go to war and fight with each other. The reasons and justifications are plentiful, but the result is never pleasant. In Canada’s history, we have fought many wars for many different reasons. From the War of 1812 to the World Wars to the War in Afghanistan, Canada has been there.

Such is the thinking of Toronto documentary maker Matthew Corolis. This Remembrance Day, he will be releasing the trailer for his nearly finished documentary, The Reconnaissance Painter, an animated short that tells the story of John Fleetwood-Morrow, who served as a photographer in No. 39 Wing RCAF.
Composed of airmen from three Canadian squadrons, 400, 414 and 430, this ‘recce’ wing became known as the Eyes of the Army. It would play a critical role in 1944′s Operation Overlord, the code name for the Battle of Normandy, which began on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

DeSantis vs Trump… Why is TRUMP doing this?
(LifeSiteNews) — Former President Donald Trump issued a strange warning to Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in an interview published Tuesday, threatening to release unflattering information about DeSantis if he runs against Trump for the GOP presidential nomination in two years.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, the 45th president denied he was in a “tiff” with the popular governor, whom he called a “fine guy.” But then he said that if DeSantis ran for president, “he could hurt himself very badly […] I think the base would not like it — I don’t think it would be good for the party.”
Trump added that if DeSantis runs, “I would tell you things about him that won’t be very flattering — I know more about him than anybody — other than, perhaps, his wife.”
Relatively few on social media were impressed by Trump’s threat, dismissing the possibility that Trump has damaging information on the family man and Navy veteran, and instead seeing the claim — and its timing — as petty, divisive, and indicative of fear for a potential DeSantis challenge. This panel occurred in five parts beginning with my introduction. Major Crypto Exchange – CRASH:
Cryptocurrency exchange FTX has commenced voluntary bankruptcy proceedings in the US, the platform announced on Friday.
The company will begin “an orderly process to review and monetize assets for the benefit of all global stakeholders,” FTX said in a statement on Twitter.
Chief Executive Sam Bankman-Fried resigned, and a new CEO, John J. Ray III, was appointed, the exchange added.
The announcement comes days after larger rival Binance abandoned plans to acquire FTX and left the exchange with the task of raising roughly $9 billion from investors and rivals to stay afloat.
Binance backed out of the deal after a due diligence examination and recent reports of mishandled customer funds, as well as alleged investigations by the US authorities into the company. Abandonment of the deal triggered a meltdown in the cryptocurrency market, with the price of Bitcoin sinking to its lowest level in two years.
The initiation of bankruptcyproceedings by FTX may trigger what could be one of the biggest meltdowns in the industry, according to Reuters. [RT Business News]

All the Russian hardware that is subject to repair has also been withdrawn to the left bank of Dnepr. Repair units have already commenced maintenance works. No hardware or armament have been abandoned on the right bank due to effective management and concerted action of Russian units. All the Russian servicemen have redeployed to the left bank of Dnepr. The units and formations of Russian Armed Forces, withdrawn from the right bank, have taken the defense lines and positions, fortified in engineering terms.
· Despite enemy's attempts to frustrate the redeployment of Russian forces, any casualties in personnel, armament, hardware, and material means have been prevented. Russian air defense and electronic warfare facilities have repelled all the attempts to launch missile strikes. 33 rocket-propelled projectiles launched by U.S.-manufactured HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems have been intercepted.
· Over the past 48 hours, Ukrainian units have advanced no more than 10 kilometres in certain directions. The operation of Russian artillery, aviation, and mine barriers has resulted in halting the AFU units 30-40 kilometres away from the area of the river crossing site over Dnepr. The manpower and hardware of the AFU is currently being neutralized by firepower on the right bank of Dnepr.
