Kari Lake's Campaign Sues Arizona's Maricopa County Over Election Issues:

The battle between Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and state election officials continues.

Lake's campaign filed a lawsuit this week against Maricopa County officials, demanding the release of internal documents pertaining to the county's process for counting votes before, on and after Election Day.

Democrat Katie Hobbs, who currently serves as Arizona's secretary of state, has been projected as the winner in the governor's race — besting Lake by approximately 17,000 votes, according to the Newsmax elections tracker.

If that 17,000-vote/0.66% differential becomes official, then Lake would be just outside the threshold for demanding a recount in Arizona: 0.5%.

Still, Lake has refused to concede the results of her race to Hobbs; and her campaign is calling for more public transparency of the Election Day gaffes that Lake alleges precluded Arizona from tabulating votes in a timely manner.

For the lawsuit, Lake's campaign references the printer problems that affected dozens of tabulation sites in Maricopa County on Election Day.

The campaign also wants all public records related to voters "who tried to vote and couldn't," including the voters' names and contact information.

According to reports, Lake's campaign committee also requested records of registered voters in Arizona who tried to check in at two different voting centers, along with documents regarding ballots that "had the write-in Senate candidate for Legislative District 22."

The Lake campaign says it has received the public documents requested, save for two omissions:

1) "All communications prior to Election Day between or among County employees, agents and vendors with regard to problems with tabulation or printing of ballots at vote centers."

2) "All public records related to re-tabulation of votes cast in person at vote centers due to commingling and/or reconciliation issues.”

The lawsuit comes on the heels of Bill Gates, chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, "going into hiding" after allegedly receiving death threats for his handling of the election results within Arizona's largest county.

While speaking to a local TV station, Gates confirmed he had moved to an "undisclosed location" and been given security detail.

The rancor between Gates, a Republican official, and factions of Arizona voters played out a full week past Election Day (Nov. 8), after Maricopa officials had difficulty processing up to 40% of the ballots submitted on that day — due to a combination of printer/ink errors and other machine malfunctions.

The Maricopa precinct voters waiting in line were then asked to entrust their open paper ballots to a so-called "Box 3," which would be processed at a different location.

Judge Blocks New York State law against concealed carry:

A judge has blocked New York State's law against concealed carry for the third time, Breitbart reported. United States District Court Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. issued the temporary injunction Tuesday against a portion of the law that has faced several legal challenges.

In June, New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a restrictive gun control bill. The legislation was passed after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down an older gun control law on June 23, 2022, in the NYSRPA v. Bruen decision.

The catalyst was a case brought by two individuals and the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association against the 1911 Sullivan Act, the New York Post reported. They claimed the restrictions on carrying a concealed weapon in public violated Second Amendment rights.

Under the century-old law, police had the discretion to approve or deny requests for concealed carry permits. The association's attorney Paul Clement argued that it was against a "fundamental constitutional right" and should be overturned.

"Carrying a firearm outside the home is a fundamental constitutional right," Clement claimed. "It is not some extraordinary action that requires an extraordinary demonstration of need," he said in the November 2021 oral arguments.

The justices agreed 6-3 and issued the landmark decision. "Nothing in the Second Amendment's text draws a home/public distinction with respect to the right to keep and bear arms," Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the majority opinion. He added that "the Second Amendment guarantees an 'individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation,' and confrontation can surely take place outside the home."

New York State's new laws in response to NYSRPA v. Bruen were set to go into effect on Sept. 1, 2022, with sweeping restrictions. However, the laws have faced a series of legal challenges, and aspects have been struck down three separate times.

1. The first blow to the law came on Oct. 6, 2022. U.S. District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby blocked certain aspects of the law pertaining to background checks, including forcing applicants to submit an invasive review of their social media accounts.

2. The second came on Oct. 21, 2o22, in the form of another temporary restraining order issued by Sinatra. This time, it blocked prohibitions on concealed carry of firearms on the grounds of places of worship.

3. This third and most recent decision came down in favor of allowing residents to carry concealed weapons on private property. It was decided on a case brought by the Second Amendment Foundation and the Firearms Policy Coalition on Brett Christian's behalf as a private citizen wishing to carry a weapon outside his residence.

Ultimately, Sinatra ruled that private property owners could prohibitweapons from their locales. However, the state cannot impose such rules from the outside.

The left is increasingly seeking to disarm law-abiding citizens. For now, the courts have maintained citizens' rights to concealed carry -- but it should never be taken for granted that it will remain that way. [American Digest Media]

Ron DeSantis became a top enemy of the left-wing media during the pandemic when he refused to follow Anthony Fauci and Joe Biden’s COVID mandates and restrictions.

Each day the news was filled with headlines about how countless Floridians were going to die because of DeSantis’ pro-freedom policies.


Reporters in the press even smeared him as “Ron DeathSantis.”

Of course, time has proven Ron DeSantis made the right decision when he lifted the lockdowns and banned masks and vaccine mandates.


But the Left went into a fit of rage when Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education Bill into law and fulfilled his promise to make 2022 the “year of the parent.”

Even though the legislationdoes not mention anything about homosexuals – it simply prohibits teaching children in K-3 about gender and sex – the Left misnamed it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and accused DeSantis of being hateful to the gay community.

As part of DeSantis’ fight to restore parental rights, he endorsed a slate of school board candidates during the election who pledged to stand up for parents.


But the Left believes parents having more influence in schools is bad for children.

And the left-wing Miami Herald ran an article with a headline that implied a negative connotation with parents being more involved at the school.


“As DeSantis injects politics into school boards, parents are getting more influence,” the Miami Herald headline read.

The reporter claimed there was a “growing dissonance” between students, parents, and school board members regarding the role of school board members.


“Are they stewards of the students or are they there to placate the parents, who in the last year have increasingly been flexing their muscles in Florida, thanks to new laws that embolden them?” the article said.

However, DeSantis Press Secretary Bryan Griffin set the record straight in a post on social media.

“Clearly, woke ideology has pervaded many classrooms, just as it has the Miami Herald newsroom,” Griffin tweeted. “The Governor is empowering parents with avenues to push back.” [The DeSantis Dailey]




Colorado gay nightclub shooter identified as nonbinary and used pronouns "they/them":

The attorney for Anderson Lee Aldrich, the 22-year-old accused of the deadly shooting at the gay nightclub Club Q, is claiming Aldrich is nonbinary and uses the pronouns "they/them," the Western Journal reported. This turns on its head the notion that the shooting was an anti-LGBT hate crime.

Five people were killed and 17 wounded when Aldrich allegedly opened fire at the Denver, Colorado establishment Saturday. The shooter was tackled and subdued by two patrons until police arrived.

However, before the bodies were even cold, the leftist media pounced on the story as proof that opposition to perversion led to this act of violence. New York Times ran an article linking the two entitled "Drag events across the country have often faced threats in recent years."


After Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) publicly offered her condolences, the Denver Post ripped into her. "Editorial: We're looking at you, Lauren Boebert. Stop the intolerance," an op-ed stated.

However, that narrative is difficult to prop up, considering Aldrich's stated gender status. Undeterred, the left has switched instead to suddenly disbelieving this particular individual's gender identity, which undermines the previoustreatment of such issues.

The most telling example came from CNN's Alisyn Camerota. During Tuesday's broadcast, Camerota explained the new information contained in legal filings for Aldrich and seemed incredulous about this self-reported identity.


"So, attorneys for the accused shooter, Anderson Lee Aldrich, say in new court filings tonight that the suspect now identifies as non-binary," Camerota stated in the clip shared on Twitter. "I don't know what to say about that, I mean, that's not anything that we had heard from his background, you know, people have been looking into his background," she added.


"I don't know what to say about that, I mean, that's what he's now saying," Camerota reiterated, appearing to carefully choose her words. The implication is that suspect faces hate crimes charges that could be negated if he identifies with the group targeted.

"It sounds like they're trying to prepare a defense against a hate crimes charge," Errol Lewis, CNN political analyst, added to the discussion. "That's the least of his problems, legally speaking, but it looks like they're trying to build some kind of sympathy or at least confusion on the question of whether or not this was purely motivated by hate," Lewis claimed.


This skepticism is a break from the usual protocol when an individual takes on one of these identities. One man was transferred to a women's prison based solely on his say-so and proceeded to impregnate two of female inmates, the New York Post reported.

Demi Minor, who was born Demetrius, had been transferred to New Jersey's Edna Mahan correctional facility. He was one of 27 such inmates, considered "pre-op" transgenders, who were intact biological males allowed to be housed with females.

In these cases, people are taken on their word, whereas Aldrich's defense must not be believed. This case may not shatter the notion that one can choose a gender -- but it's a start. [American Digest Media]
