St. Patrick's Day prayer:

The wily saint knew more than a thing or two about spiritual warfare

In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, we thought we would look to the most famous prayer of the Saint himself. Patrick developed his “shield” or “breast-plate” prayer to help him “put on the full armor of God” (Ephesians 6:12) in the midst of the incredible trials he faced in bringing the word of God to Ireland. We’ve found it to be helpful and inspiring to pray it in my devotional times, especially in times of great hardship, distress, and spiritual warfare.

I arise today Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity, Through belief in the Threeness, Through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation.

I arise today Through the strength of Christ's birth with His baptism, Through the strength of His crucifixion with His burial, Through the strength of His resurrection with His ascension, Through the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.

I arise today Through the strength of the love of cherubim, In the obedience of angels, In the service of archangels, In the hope of resurrection to meet with reward, In the prayers of patriarchs, In the predictions of prophets, In the preaching of apostles, In the faith of confessors, In the innocence of holy virgins, In the deeds of righteous men.

I arise today, through The strength of heaven, The light of the sun, The radiance of the moon, The splendor of fire, The speed of lightning, The swiftness of wind, The depth of the sea, The stability of the earth, The firmness of rock.

I arise today, through God's strength to pilot me, God's might to uphold me, God's wisdom to guide me, God's eye to look before me, God's ear to hear me, God's word to speak for me, God's hand to guard me, God's shield to protect me, God's host to save me From snares of devils, From temptation of vices, From everyone who shall wish me ill, afar and near.

I summon today All these powers between me and those evils, Against every cruel and merciless power that may oppose my body and soul, Against incantations of false prophets, Against black laws of pagandom, Against false laws of heretics, Against craft of idolatry, Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards, Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul; Christ to shield me today Against poison, against burning, Against drowning, against wounding, So that there may come to me an abundance of reward.

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.

Patrick Bestall:

Wth thanks to Michelle Landry who inspired me to ask our Lord for Guidance...

and with thanks to God who was ready to give it to us, knowing we would ask for his instruction on dealing with the devil.

He said… "A time to attack and a time to defend” The time to defend is now. Not everyone is qualified to pick up the sword of the Spirit, but everyone is qualified to pick up the shield of faith.

Thoughts for TODAY!

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

James 1:12 KJV

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; And saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Psalm 34:18 KJV

VICTORY!

We finally won our lawsuit against the Radisson Toronto East Hotel:

These Toronto hotels’ only “guests” are illegal migrants — while homeless citizens camp in the snow

While Toronto’s domestic homeless must go to shelters or even sleep under elevated expressways, Justin Trudeau’s increasing number of illegal migrants are given the royal treatment at Toronto hotels.

On the other hand, The Rebel received rather inhospitable treatment while trying to report at one such hotel, Toronto Radisson Hotel East.

Watch as I show you why this problem is just going to keep getting worse for taxpayers as the city struggles to find ways to accommodate ever more of Justin’s “irregulars.”

Victory!

Judge deems Toronto hotel employee can't assault Rebel News employees:

The message to our haters out there who would do us harm is this: you are free to disagree with us. You can hurl F-bombs our way and flash us the middle finger. No problem. What you cannot do is physically assault our people nor damage our equipment.

Wrote the judge:

I find, on a balance of probabilities, that the Plaintiffs were assaulted by Strong on February 7 in the manner described above, and in the process committed a battery. The video of the encounter between the parties makes clear that, in a state of anger and agitation capable of inducing apprehension in Menzies and Monsanto of immediate and unwanted physical contact, Strong made physical contact with the camera and microphone in the hands of Monsanto and Menzies, respectively, more than once. And he acted indifferently to the risk that, in making physical contact with the equipment, the equipment would strike the Plaintiffs. Since the equipment was, at the time, a natural extension of the Plaintiffs’ persons, Strong’s physical contact with the equipment amounted to an assault.

Unity for Ontario:

A good 7 minute discussion with Jordan Peterson about the different parties and Critical Race Theory in the schools now. There's a huge difference between "anti-racism" and "non-racism".

PS - I note in the newsletter below that the New Blue party is playing hardball.

Newsletter: The Jordan Peterson Effect continues for the Ontario Party! We’ve never had so many people reach out to us as after last week’sPeterson Podcast episode in which Bill 67 and the dangers of “critical race theory” were discussed and our party’s position on fighting against the bill were highlighted. In case you missed that episode, here are some highlights: The Ontario Party’s momentum is growing, but we still need all the support you can give to be able to build the electoral challenge that will bring us victory. Our province desperately needs change. The Ontario Party has the solutions to lift Ontario out of its political tyranny and economic stagnation. That’s why we’d hoped to work together with any freedom Movement or Party, including the New Blue Party of Ontario. Our idea was to come to a “non-competition” agreement with New Blue that would involve both parties agreeing not to run against each other in ridings where the other has a better chance of winning. The New Blue Party had received our proposal but still sent out an email accusing us of "targeting" Belinda in her riding. The Ontario Party remains committed to not running a candidate against Belinda in her riding out of respect for her as a fellow freedom fighter. Unfortunately, the New Blue Party isn’t interested in our proposal, and they’re running a candidate against Rick Nicholls in his riding of Chatham-Kent—Leamington. The New Blue Party has not even bothered to respond to a meeting proposal we sent to them seeking to arrange a cooperative effort that would maximize our mutual challenge to Ford. Here is the proposal I sent: We believe there is already enough division and negativity, both in politics and in life, without adding more. That’s why the Ontario Party will remain the party of solutions and the party of unity. We know that those are the things needed to put Ontario back on track to the freedom and prosperity that our children deserve to inherit from us. Our call to everyone is that whether you’re a New Blue supporter, a Randy Hillier supporter, or just someone who wants a better Ontario, reach out, and we’ll work together! CBC finally admits they’re Fake News:

We’ve been telling you this for the last few years — and the state broadcaster finally admitted it.

Last week, the CBC publicly retracted a news story about the trucker Freedom Convoy that erroneously claimed that support for the protests had largely come from foreigners.

CBC has parroted the idea that extremists and foreign sources were behind the trucker protests despite the fact that a chief official at the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) denied claims of foreign extremist funding.

No further explanation was provided by the CBC on why the statement was incorrect.

CBC has parrotted the idea that extremists and foreign sources were behind the trucker protests despite evidence showing otherwise.

Reporters at the outlet based their claims on a so-called “exclusive analysis” of donations. [Patrick Bestall]

The reality is Canadians have had enough of heavy-handed government rules and Prime Minister Trudeau’s use of extreme measures to suppress the peaceful protest was unwarranted.

Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall seriously injured in attack outside Kyiv

Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall remains hospitalized with serious injuries after coming under attack on Monday while covering the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, as the Washington Examiner reports.

According to numerous accounts, Hall was traveling in a vehicle in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, together with two colleagues, when the harrowing incident occurred.

A Monday statement issued by Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scottto her network colleagues broke the news of Hall’s situation, saying that the company had “a minimal level of details” at the time, but that “teams on the ground are working to gather additional information… .”

Scott further revealed on Tuesday that the car in which Hall was riding also contained veteran network cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, and Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshinova, 24, both of whom died as a result of the injuries they sustained.

Detailed information about Hall’s current condition has still not been released, though a report in The Daily Beast cited a Telegram post from Anton Gerashchenko, Ukraine’s interior minister, stating that “doctors had to amputate” part of the journalist’s leg.

As the Daily Mail reports, Hall is a dual citizen of Britain and the United States, and in addition to being a married father of three and the author of a book on the history of the Islamic State, he has also contributed to the BBC, Channel 4, ITN, the New York Times, the Sunday Times, and more.

Fellow Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst, who has also been providing coverage from the conflict zone in Ukraine since the start of hostilities, posted a photo to Twitter on Tuesday of himself smiling while standing next to Hall, adding the simple, yet poignant caption, “Thinking about you. A great journalist, father and friend.” [FOX News]
