Ottawa will require Telecoms to co-operate on Network Reliability:
Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne is directing Canada’s telecoms to enter into a formal agreement aimed at enhancing network reliability after a widespread outage shut down Rogers Communications Inc.’s wireless and internet services across the country on Friday.
During a conference call yesterday, Champagne demanded that the Chief Executive Officers of Canada’s Major Telecoms implement a framework that would require the wireless carriers to assist each other during network outages. It would also include providing customers with emergency roaming on their networks and following a communications protocol to ensure consumers are not kept in the dark.
However, three telecom industry sources said such a framework would not have prevented or resolved the massive network outage that left Roger’s customers across the country without internet, wireless and home phone service, because the disruption was the result of a malfunction in Rogers’s core network.

Three Armed Crooks bust into Residence, and Homeowner drops his Handgun. But Victim Retrieves AK-47-style Weapon, starts firing, and Crooks run for their Lives.
A homeowner in Pensacola, Florida, won't be charged after firing an AK-47-style weapon at three accused home invaders, WKRG-TV reported.
What are the details?
The homeowner was alone his Pinestead Road residence at 11:42 p.m. Thursday when three men — one armed with a gun — pushed their way inside, the Pensacola News Journal reported.
Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said the homeowner apparently pulled his own handgun from his waistband but dropped it, the News Journal reported.
One of the intruders picked up the handgun, but the homeowner was able to run to a back room and retrieve an "AK-47-style" weapon, Simmons added, according to the paper.
"He started shooting for his own protection, to get them out of his house and to protect himself," the sheriff said, according to the News Journal.
The intruders fled the home,but investigators identified two suspects — Antonio DeWayne Dean Jr., 18, and Da'Torrance Leanders Hackworth, 20 — and issued warrants related to the home invasion for both of them,the paper said.
Dean has active warrants for other alleged offenses, including domestic violence battery, carjacking, aggravated assaults with a firearm, and robbery with a firearm, Simmons told the News Journal.
What about the third suspect?
Simmons told the paper authorities received "a report of a third individual that had a wound to the head not long after [the home invasion]. The stories he's giving us as to how he got shot in the head are inconsistent at best. In short, we don't believe him."Simmons added to the News Journal that investigators are now trying to determine if this person also was involved in the home invasion.
While Simmons didn't name the third individual, the sheriff told the paper the man's injury wasn't life-threatening.
No charges against homeowner
Simmons also told the News Journal that the homeowner would "absolutely not" be charged for shooting at the home invasion suspects.
"The homeowner's protecting himself, and in Florida, in Escambia County, you can protect yourself," Simmons noted, according to the paper.
WKRG added that the incident is being investigated as a stand-your-ground case.

Inflection Point
The long-ago Greeks had two words for time: Kronos (χρόνος) and Kairos (καιρός).
· Kronos is chronological time, sequential time, the metered time of the regimented left hemisphere of the brain.
· Kairos is an inflection point, a time-window of indeterminate length during which something consequential happens.
· On the other side of the Kairos, things are forever different.
· Kronos time is quantitative and accurate. Kairos time is qualitative and important.
The thing about moments of Kairos is that you can see them most clearly when they are behind you.
We make decisions every day, and with every choice we make we reach a point of no return and wonder what might have been.
I think you will agree that some decisions have longer arms than others. They are more consequential. They carry heavier Kairos and more profoundly affect our future.

#3. 9 Felonies for exposing Planned Parenthood:
You may remember David as the undercover journalist who spent 30 months investigating and capturing video evidence of Planned Parenthood 's top leadership --- medical directors, national program directors, even its Senior Director of Medical Services -- callously negotiating the harvesting and sale of aborted baby body parts.
And now, he’s been charged with nine bogus felonies.
You see, after David released the shocking videos of the illegal and disgusting actions of abortion executives, Kamala Harris, then California's Attorney General, colluded with Planned Parenthood to file felony charges against David...

I won't sugarcoat it. If not cleared of these charges, David faces steep fines and years in state penitentiary and the consequences of being a convicted felon. While Kamala Harris --- a bought-and-paid-for ally of the abortion industry --- is sitting one heartbeat away from the presidency.
That's the bad news.
But here's the good news... David is fighting back.
In fact, he's taking another opportunity to drag more of Planned Parenthood's dark criminality into the spotlight with two new federal lawsuits.
That's right. The Thomas More Society has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit in California on behalf of David against former California Attorney General and now VicePresident Kamala Harris for prosecuting David in bad faith, twisting and perverting California's anti-eavesdropping law to persecute a citizen journalist because of his political views.
Then the Thomas More Society filed a defamation (libel) lawsuit in federal court in New York against Planned Parenthood, which said David created a "fake" and "false" "smear
campaign" against Planned Parenthood.
In other words, the best defense is a good offense. The truth is we could no longer let David suffer such a trampling of his free speech and due process rights without a counterattack.
The timing couldn't be more important.
This is a critical opportunity to put Kamala Harris, Planned Parenthood, and the rest of the abortion industry on trial for conspiring to silence David in order to cover-up their illegal activities.
The reality is. . .
You couldn't be there when David entered the dark underbelly of the abortion industry --- sitting across the table from abortionists haggling over the price of baby body parts with cold-blooded clarity... "I want a Lamborghini."
You couldn't be there as David saw with his own eyes the preborn children who had been killed with great precision and delicacy to preserve their organs for maximum profit.
You couldn't be there when the videos were released and Kamala Harris and Planned Parenthood conspired to crush David with trumped up legal charges and an armed raid on his home in which they seized laptops, hard-drives, and recording equipment.
And you couldn't be there with David (our criminal defense team was there) when he voluntarily appeared in both Texas and California for booking and processing --- fingerprinted and photographed for a mugshot like a common criminal.

#4. Bill C-11 Update and New Opportunity for Creators:
There is still time to fix Bill C-11
C-11 was passed through the House of Commons by the Government, with support from the NDP and Bloc Quebecois. However, the Senate must still pass it — and Senators have promised to give the bill a full study. It’s critical that our voices are heard again in the Senate.
Some representatives in Government believe that the concerns being shared by us are based upon misinformation – this is not only disappointing but demonstrably untrue. The concerns we’ve raised about how C-11 will impact Digital First Creators are important and 100% valid.
Ian Scott, the Chair of the CRTC, confirmed publicly that the CRTC would have the authority to regulate user-generated content, and wants platforms to manipulate algorithms to produce a particular outcome: promoting content that is approved by the CRTC.. The concerns around C-11 are valid.
When the Government claims that Bill C-11 will promote Canadian content, realize that doesn’t mean Digital First Creators, as we do not qualify as CanCon. When the Government says it wants to make digital platforms pay into the system, WE AGREE. However, we want to make sure Digital Creators have access to that funding as it would currently only go to legacy media.
