I wanted to follow up after yesterday’s email (below) because the response has been overwhelming in the best possible way.
So many of you wrote back with kind notes. So many of you stepped up to support Juno financially. And because of that response, we are now just $16,000 away from reaching our year-end goal!
I can’t overstate how encouraging that feels.
Working in journalism can be lonely. You spend long days researching, travelling, asking uncomfortable questions, and putting your name on stories, knowing not everyone will be happy with what you publish.
Moments like this make it worth it.
Seeing readers respond so generously reminds me that this work actually lands with people. That it matters. There are Canadians who want honest reporting and are willing to support it when it exists.
At Juno, we don’t have layers of bureaucracy or distant executives. When you support this work, it directly supports the journalists doing it. It means we can keep showing up in communities, at protests, in legislatures, and in places where important conversations are happening but not always being covered honestly.

Hi,
I don’t usually write emails like this. I’m more comfortable editing, reporting, or standing in the middle of a crowd with a microphone, asking questions people don’t want to answer. But as the year comes to a close, I wanted to explain why I work at Juno News, and why your support matters to me personally.
I’m a young journalist. I chose this profession because truth shapes culture, because stories influence families and communities, and because honesty still matters even when it is inconvenient.
Early on, it became clear to me that legacy media was not a place where I could work with integrity. There were expectations about what could be said, how stories should be framed, and which facts were worth emphasizing. Faith, values, and moral clarity were treated as liabilities rather than guides.
At Juno News, I can work openly. I can speak plainly to readers. I can acknowledge faith, values, and conviction while doing serious journalism. I do not have to hide who I am or why I care about the stories I cover. That matters to me.
My favourite story of the year came from reporting on the Alberta teachers’ strike outside the legislature.
Public teacher unions gathered, demanding more money, while many of the protesters I spoke with were dressed as witches, goblins, and demons. When asked about overcrowded classrooms, several dismissed population growth and mass immigration as irrelevant. Others focused their anger on Premier Danielle Smith for belonging to a church.
What stayed with me that day was the disconnect between rhetoric and reality.
Many protesters spoke in the name of children while avoiding direct conversations about the policies driving classroom overcrowding. Accountability was treated as hostility. Honest questions were brushed aside.
Legacy media outlets were present, but readers never saw that side of the protest reflected in their coverage. At Juno News, I was allowed to report exactly what I observed, accurately and without euphemism.
That experience reinforced why this work matters.
Reporting like this requires time, travel, and support. It requires journalists on the ground, in schools, at protests, in courtrooms, and in legislatures, asking questions that powerful institutions would rather avoid.
Reaching our year-end fundraising goal allows us to keep doing this work across the country. It allows us to protect families, inform parents, and serve readers who want the truth about what is happening in their communities.

It pushed masking on children as young as two years old with zero evidence that masks prevented COVID transmission, while causing documented harm to speech, language development, and emotional growth.
In 2025, the AAP went beyond federal guidance and urged COVID injections for infants and young children, despite known risks including myocarditis, severe adverse events, and death, and despite zero evidence that these injections prevent infection or transmission.
And the AAP has explicitly called for the elimination of religious exemptions, declaring war on parental rights and freedom of conscience.
This is exactly why AFLDS launched the Defund the AAP campaign.
HHS itself has now acknowledged that the AAP has lost touch with American families and continues to prioritize identity-based ideology over children’s health.
Our voice matters.
It matters because institutions respond when the truth becomes unavoidable.It matters because pressure works.It matters because silence protects harm.

Quality Lear_ing Center – Inadequate RESPONSE was FACT-CHECKED!
Owner's son says Quality Lear_ing Center didn't have kids because they don't open until later in the day (let's fact-check that claim)
I have nothing against him, but I do have something against the rhetoric. A journalist would have a moral compass. Like, do what you do correctly. If you catch business in fraud, no one here is with that, or we don't support that as a community. I don't support that myself. I was born and raised here. I'm not for fraud.
And yet ... the fraud is happening! Dozens of Minneapolis Somalis have been convicted of it in the last few years alone.
We're after-school hours. so most of our clients... all of our clients are after-school hours ... we don't have anyone in the morning.
The kids just arrive later in the day.
Nothing to see here!
Five problems:
One, Nick Shirley did not go to Quality Lear_ing Center alone. He brought a local man, David, who has researched these daycares for years (including driving by daycares to see if kids were ever present).
At 18:15 in his video, Nick and David ask another local if he's ever seen kids at the Quality Lear_ing Center. The man clearly says no, multiple times.
Quote: "I've been here since 2017, and I've never seen anybody like that."
All of this is anecdotal, of course, but that brings us to...
Two: Quality Lear_ing Center has received 13 violations in the past few years, with other issues dating back to 2015 when the location had a different name.
Three: There are videos dating back 10 years showing how Somali parents pretend to drop off kids, then leave, in exchange for kickbacks (Fox 9 even has another video of a parent receiving a kickback payment).
This establishes proven precedent.
Four: This was not the only daycare that Nick and David visited in the viral video. No children were found at any of the Somali daycares. Nick even tried to enroll a child and was turned away.
Five: They misspelled "Learning" and have a defunct phone number ... but none of the Somalis running the "daycare" ever noticed.
If they are trying to disprove Nick, they are doing a terrible job of it.
There are other discrepancies as well, such as the official claim that the daycare had been shut down, combined with kids suddenly showing up after the story made the national news:

Canada's "Femicide"?

So much for Carney's "Tax Reductions."
To get elected, Cagey Carney dropped the tax on grocery food, implying (lying) that it was his way of thinking to help Canadians in the future. All smoke and mirrors, as this article points out.
A box of granola bars with six bars is tax-exempt, but when manufacturers quietly reduce the box to five bars, it becomes taxable. The product hasn’t changed. The nutritional profile hasn’t changed. Only the packaging has changed, yet the tax flips on.
This pattern now permeates the grocery aisle. A 650-gram bag of chips shrinks to 580 grams and becomes taxable. Muffins once sold in six-packs are reformatted into three-packs or individually wrapped portions, instantly becoming taxable single-serve items.
Yogurt, traditionally sold in large tax-exempt tubs, increasingly appears in smaller 100-gram units that meet the definition of taxable snacks. Crackers, cookies, trail mixes, and cereals have all seen slight weight reductions that push them past GST thresholds created decades ago.

A Georgia election official also testified that QR codes located on ballots were used to tabulate votes through the machines instead of the markings made by voters on the actual ballots themselves.
This proves that there is no way to actually confirm that Joe Biden won the 2020 election because the QR code cannot be read or verified by election officials to determine what the QR code is actually telling the voting machines to tabulate for since it is not reading the actual filled-in selections by the voter.
This is just another variable and a method to program the machines to manipulate, read, and rig an election in your favour.

The FBI is aware of recent social media reports in Minnesota. However, even before the public conversation escalated online, the FBI had surged personnel and investigative resources to Minnesota to dismantle large-scale fraud schemes exploiting federal programs. Fraud that steals from taxpayers and robs vulnerable children will remain a top FBI priority in Minnesota and nationwide.
To date, the FBI has dismantled a $250 million fraud scheme that stole federal food aid meant for vulnerable children during C***D. The investigation exposed sham vendors, shell companies, and large-scale money laundering tied to the Feeding Our Future network.
The case led to 78 indictments and 57 convictions. Defendants included Abdiwahab Ahmed Mohamud, Ahmed Ali, Hussein Farah, Abdullahe Nur Jesow, Asha Farhan Hassan, Ousman Camara, and Abdirashid Bixi Dool, each charged for roles ranging from wire fraud to money laundering and conspiracy.
These criminals didn’t just engage in historic fraud, but tried to subvert justice as well. Abdimajid Mohamed Nur and others were charged for attempting to bribe a juror with $120,000 in cash. Those responsible pleaded guilty and were sentenced, including a 10-year prison term and nearly $48 million in restitution in related cases.
The FBI believes this is just the tip of a very large iceberg. We will continue to follow the money and protect children, and this investigation very much remains ongoing.
