Biden’s Pentagon is shredding documents after Congress sent this one demand:
The Biden regime’s abuse of the federal government is fierce. But congressmembers are on their case.
And now the Pentagon is in a frenzy to shred documents after Congress sent this one stark demand.
In a letter obtained by reporters on Thursday, Republican Representative Jim Banks of Indiana pressed the Pentagon for updated data on disease rates. The focus was on determining whether the spike in illnesses was a result of COVID-19 or the vaccine. Banks noted that while internal Department of Defense (DOD) medical data showed an increase in certain medical issues linked to COVID-19 in 2021, comparable data from previous and subsequent years was not publicly available.
During a March hearing, Banks raised concerns about the transparency of the data, suggesting it may be skewed to justify the widespread use of the vaccine in the military.
He questioned the trustworthiness of the department and the Biden administration in reaching conclusions about the origins of these medical problems.
“It seems to me that you’re skewing the data to justify your use of the vaccine,” Congressman Jim Banks (R-IN) shared in the March hearing concerning COVID-19 data relating to illness side effects.
The letter indicates that Congress is still investigating the Pentagon’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly regarding the vaccine mandate for troops. Whistleblowers have accused top officials of downplaying adverse reactions to the vaccine.
At the hearing, the Pentagon committed to providing updated data on new cases for various conditions linked to COVID-19 infection. Banks criticized the delay in providing this information.
At the time, a top epidemiologist shared before Congress that they would provide the requested data but has yet to do so. “We do have the numbers. It takes our analysts time to write programming code to pull the data. It then has to be reviewed by an epidemiologist to ensure that the code is accurate, that the output is accurate. And we will get you those numbers,” one Dr. Shauna Stahlman said at the hearing.
The 2021 data showed a significant increase in myocarditis, a potential side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine. Former Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Gil Cisneros attributed the rise in illnesses to COVID-19 rather than the vaccine.
Comparing medical case rates in 2021 with those in 2020 (pre-vaccine) and 2022 (post-vaccine) could help determine the primary cause of the spike in illnesses. With over 95% of the active duty force vaccinated by October 2021, understanding the suspected side effects of the vaccine is crucial for assessing its overall impact on service members’ health.
A DOD study conducted in June 2021, before the mandate, identified higher-than-expected rates of heart inflammation among male service-members who received mRNA vaccines. This study raised concerns about the vaccine’s safety, particularly among healthy male troops.
The shift in the U.S. federal government’s opinion on whether the COVID-19 vaccine came from a lab leak primarily revolves around evolving evidence and increased scrutiny on the origins of the virus.
Initially, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, the prevailing belief among many scientists and government officials was that the virus likely originated from natural sources, such as through animal-to-human transmission, particularly in wet markets in Wuhan, China. This theory was based on previous experiences with coronaviruses like SARS and MERS, which also originated from animal reservoirs.
However, as the pandemic progressed and more information emerged, doubts began to arise about the natural origin theory. Concerns were raised about the possibility of a laboratory accident or leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which is known to study coronaviruses, including ones similar to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
The U.S. federal government’s stance on this issue shifted as more evidence came to light. Initially, during the early stages of the pandemic, the lab leak theory was largely dismissed or deemed unlikely by government officials and public health experts. However, as investigations continued and new information surfaced, including reports of safety concerns at the WIV and the possibility of researchers falling ill with COVID-19-like symptoms before the pandemic officially began, the lab leak hypothesis gained traction.
In May 2021, President Joe Biden ordered intelligence agencies to investigate the origins of COVID-19, including the possibility of a lab leak. This marked a significant shift in the government’s approach to the issue, signaling a willingness to explore all possible scenarios.
Subsequently, in August 2021, the U.S. intelligence community released a report stating that it could not definitively determine the origins of the virus and that both natural and laboratory-related scenarios were plausible. This report did not rule out the possibility of a lab leak and called for further investigation.
However, at one point, the Democrats were calling anyone who dared to suggest that the virus was the result of a lab leak “anti-Chinese” racists and conspiracy theorists with no evidence whatsoever. They called Donald Trump a fool for suggesting it might have leaked out of China.
How the tables have turned as now the majority of federal agencies have concluded that the virus at least likely did leak out of a Chinese lab or that this theory was the best lead anyone has on the matter.

According to reports from National Public Radio (NPR) Senior Editor Uri Berliner, NPR has 87 registered Democrats on their staff that work in an editorial capacity. They don’t have any Republicans, however.
Berliner, who aligns more with the Left, has come out against the way NPR has reported on several controversial topics such as Hunter Biden’s laptop, the COVID “lab leak theory,” the 2016 Russian collusion hoax, former President Donald Trump, and Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
Former President Donald Trump unsurprisingly has also opposed NPR’s Leftist bias that they frequently use when reporting on key issues. And now he’s calling for them to be defunded completely.
“NO MORE FUNDING FOR NPR, A TOTAL SCAM! EDITOR SAID THEY HAVE NO REPUBLICANS, AND IS ONLY USED TO ‘DAMAGE TRUMP,'” the former president said last Wednesday in a post on Truth Social.
“THEY ARE A LIBERAL DISINFORMATION MACHINE. NOT ONE DOLLAR!!!”
According to Breitbart.com, taxpayer dollars have helped fund NPR by almost 11%.
But if Trump’s calls to defund them entirely come to fruition, then that could be the end of NPR altogether.
In 2023, the media outlet announced that they had to lay off 10% of their workers since they didn’t earn enough revenue.
NPR’s audience has also become more Leftist over the years according to Berliner.
In 2011, the “audience tilted a bit to the left” but “still bore a resemblance to America at large,” Berliner said.
He detailed how at that time, 26% of NPR listeners were conservative, 23% were “middle of the road,” and 37% were Leftists. But by 2023 those numbers had changed quite a bit.
11% of listeners were conservative, 21% were “middle of the road,” and 67% were Leftists.
“When I suggested we had a diversity problem with a score of 87 Democrats and zero Republicans, the response wasn’t hostile. It was worse. It was met with profound indifference,” Berliner stated.
“I got a few messages from surprised, curious colleagues. But the messages were of the “oh wow, that’s weird” variety, as if the lopsided tally was a random anomaly rather than a critical failure of our diversity North Star.”
It’s a pleasant surprise to see someone in the media speaking out against a Leftist bias, especially considering that person (Berliner) is a Leftist themselves.
But it speaks to an overall problem that the higher-ups in these media organizations don’t care at all that there’s a bias towards Democrats. In fact, it almost seems encouraged.
That’s why Donald Trump has been so adamant to hold the media accountable ever since he began his first run for president back in 2015.
And it doesn’t look like he’s going to stop going after them anytime soon.

Whether it was with stashing classified information as senator and vice president when he had no right to, or possible benefiting from communist Chinese bribes, the writing is on the walls.
In fact, a Fox News poll late last year showed that 52% of registered voters believed Biden did something illegal in regards to his dealing with his son, Hunter.
Another 36% said he did something unethical, but maybe not illegal.
Only 8% said he did nothing seriously wrong. So 8 out of 100 think Biden is a good guy essentially.
Public opinion may ebb and flow with different news stories, but the opinions of those within his inner circle means a lot.
And one of them has completely thrown him under the bus.
The man who worked as Joe Biden’s stenographer during the Obama administration has published a book detailing why he feels the then-vice president should be imprisoned and impeached.
In The Case to Impeach and Imprison Joe Biden, Mike McCormick used his firsthand experience following the former second in command across the world, as well as material discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop, to establish his argument.
“When I worked for him, I thought Joe was harmless — egotistical, buffoonish, and unpresidential, but harmless,” McCormick wrote in an email.
“Now I think of him as an evil criminal who should be impeached and imprisoned.”
He went on to say that he was “not a conspiracy theorist or misinformation operative, but rather an eyewitness to the behind-the-scenes, White House activities of three presidents and their vice presidents.”
McCormick believes that while on a trip to Poland in 2014, he personally observed Biden arrange the agreement that resulted in his son joining the board of Burisma, and that others in the administration, including Jake Sullivan, were aware of the situation.
According to the blurb from the book, “By cross-referencing materials in the Hunter Biden Laptop with President Obama’s White House website and congressional testimony by Joe’s co-conspirators, plus his own recollections, McCormick weaves a devastating timeline that pinpoints Joe Biden as the mastermind of a kickback scheme with Burisma Holdings that enriched him and Hunter Biden.”
McCormick also investigated Biden’s “treasonous” Alliance for Prosperity, claiming that it “funded cartel-affiliated cocaine smugglers in the Honduran government who were then under investigation by the DEA with hundreds of millions of US taxpayer dollars.”
According to Town Hall, the former White House staffer informed the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Republican members of Congress, and investigators from the House Oversight Committee and Senate Homeland Security Governmental Affairs Committee about his findings, but he was never asked to give sworn testimony.

DOJ Confirms Allegation Against Fani Willis:
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was asked by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to resolve “inconsistencies” in how her office reports federal funding, a spokesperson for the federal department said this week.
Earlier this year, reports emerged that a former Fulton County employee revealed that some federal funding that was sent to the office was used for different expenses, which is now being probed by House Republicans. It comes as Ms. Willis continues to work on a case targeting former President Donald Trump and more than a dozen others for an alleged scheme to illegally overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.
Now, the DOJ, in a statement issued this week, confirmed that it had discovered inconsistencies in how Ms. Willis’s office reported that grant money and that the agency is now working to receive the correct reports.
“During our review of the award to respond to this inquiry, we have noticed some inconsistencies in what Fulton County has reported … and we are working with them to update their reporting accordingly,” a DOJ spokesperson told the Washington Free Beacon.
The Epoch Times has sent multiple requests for comment to the DOJ and the DOJ’s Office of Justice Programs. Ms. Willis’s office has not returned a request for comment. Ms. Willis has not yet publicly responded to the DOJ’s statement.
During an interview on Thursday, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said that a former Fulton County employee has been speaking with his staff and to the media about the alleged funding problems.
“Now the Department of Justice is looking into this. All kinds of problems with Fani Willis and this ridiculous investigation she’s run on President Trump and others,” Mr. Jordan said.
Earlier this year, Mr. Jordan’s office issued a subpoena weeks earlier to Ms. Willis to obtain documents related to possible misuse of federal funds related to her case against President Trump and more than a dozen other co-defendants. That letter asserted she’s “required to produce the following items in your possession, custody, or control, from the period of September 1, 2020, to present in unredacted form.”
“Instead of using these federal grant funds for the intended purpose of helping at-risk youths, your office sought to use the grant funds to ‘get Macbooks … swag … [and] use it for travel,’” the letter added. “Moreover, the whistleblower’s direct supervisor stated that these planned expenditures ‘were part of [your] vision.’”
It also stipulated that the former employee’s job was “abruptly terminated” after speaking about the alleged funding misuse and was “escorted out of her office by seven armed investigators.”
But Ms. Willis has denied any wrongdoing related to the use of federal funds and told Mr. Jordan that her office would provide information on a rolling basis. She also said Mr. Jordan is unfairly going after her office over her Trump prosecution and that it “would require this government office to divert resources from our primary purpose of prosecuting crime.”

The DOJ’s statement comes as lawyers for President Trump and the co-defendants appealed a decision issued last month by Judge Scott McAfee to allow Ms. Willis to stay on the case after allegations surfaced that she engaged in a relationship with her now-former special prosecutor, Nathan Wade. The pair confirmed the relationship, which allegedly occurred while Mr. Wade was still married, but they denied other allegations that they improperly financially benefitted from the arrangement.
The judge found that there wasn’t enough evidence to support claims of a conflict of interest but asserted that an “odor of mendacity” remains, asking either Ms. Willis to step down or for Mr. Wade to step down. Hours after the ruling, Mr. Wade left the team, allowing Ms. Willis to remain on the case.
Earlier this week, the district attorney’s office this week asked a Georgia appeals court not to consider President Trump’s motion to appeal “because the applicants have wholly failed to carry their burden of persuasion.”
“There is simply no trial court error to be found in the decision to deny disqualification,” her office wrote on Monday. “Days of evidence and testimony failed to disclose anything like a calculated pre-trial plan designed to prejudice the defendants or secure their convictions. The applicants have not identified any public statement injecting the District Attorney’s personal belief as to the defendants’ guilt or appealing to the public weighing of evidence.”
Despite the allegations and the judge’s criticism, Ms. Willis told CNN last month that she is still working on prosecuting the former president despite the appeals process that is playing out.
“We’re not going to miss or skip a beat because of all the noise or distraction on one case. We’re going to continue to do our work,” she told the outlet.
In the case, President Trump and the remaining co-defendants have pleaded not guilty. The former president has said the case is an attempt to denigrate his chances at being reelected president in November.

Kari Lake's campaign blasted the Babylon Bee over a piece mocking Lake's abortion stance.
The satire site's headline that Lake's campaign objected to read, "Kari Lake Announces Plan To Lose Another Election But This Time While Supporting Baby Murder."
"This is reprehensible and it isn't even valid satire. Disgusting," the "Kari Lake War Room" account wrote in response to the Bee's tweet.
Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon fired back, mocking the complaint from Lake's campaign. "I would like to apologize to everyone affected by the invalid satire we published earlier. From now on we will check to make sure it's as valid as the abortion law in Arizona before posting," he quipped.
Lake, who is currently running in the Republican U.S. Senate primary in Arizona, has said that she would oppose a federal abortion ban.
She has also expressed opposition to an Arizona Supreme Court ruling on a law that prohibits performing abortion unless the mother's life is in peril.
The law states that, "A person who provides, supplies or administers to a pregnant woman, or procures such woman to take any medicine, drugs or substance, or uses or employs any instrument or other means whatever, with intent thereby to procure the miscarriage of such woman, unless it is necessary to save her life, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not less than two years nor more than five years."
While the ruling to allow enforcement of the law marked a clear win for the pro-life cause, Lake opposed the decision and called for the state's legislature and Democratic governor "to come up with an immediate common sense solution that Arizonans can support."
The ruling stated, "Although we lift the stay on enforcement of § 13-3603, we do so with two caveats. First, § 13-3603 may be enforced prospectively only. Second, we stay enforcement of § 13-3603 for fourteen calendar days from the filing date of this Opinion to permit the parties, on remand, to determine whether to pursue remaining issues raised in the trial court and, if so, to request further stay relief at the trial court's discretion."

Republicans have not won that age cohort since 1988, so Biden is desperate to sew up the Gen Z vote.
Trying to buy votes
That is why Biden is attempting to increase student loan forgiveness.
Democrats have attempted to paint Trump as a tyrant, but Biden openly bragged about defying the Supreme Court on the issue of student debt relief.
In 2021, Rep. Nancy Pelosi said during a press conference, “People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone. He can delay. But he does not have that power. That has to be an act of Congress.”
Biden did it anyway and used a September 11 provision to discharge debt for some student borrowers.
After the Supreme Court ruled against Biden, Pelosi magically changed her tune, whining that the ruling “cruelly. . [allowed for] a crisis of debt to continue holding back families from buying homes, starting businesses and making ends meet. . .
President Biden is to be commended for his action to ease the student loan burden, which disproportionately harms women and people of color. . .Energized by our commitment to equity, justice, and opportunity, the fight is not over.”
Nevertheless, Biden is again trying to buy off the youth vote with even more unconstitutional debt relief.
His scheme would purportedly reduce debt by $5,000 or more for 10 million borrowers.
Biden announced, “While a college degree still is a ticket to the middle class, that ticket is becoming much too expensive. . .Today, too many Americans, especially young people, are saddled with too much debt.”
Outdated model
First of all, a college degree is no longer a ticket to the middle class.
The job market has become oversaturated with college degrees, which makes a degree worthless.
Meanwhile, trade schools have become better options for young people who do not want to be burdened with unpayable debt.
Also, Biden is ignoring why college has become so expensive in the first place.
When the federal government began guaranteeing student loans, it created a moral hazard where universities could jack up tuition because they knew the need-based loans were secured by the government.
Getting rid of government-backed loans would eliminate a big chunk of the college tuition bubble.
