The FBI Illegally Arrested me, and I served 8 Months in Prison:
My name is Jesus Rivera. I’m a U.S. Marine combat veteran and a patriot.
On January 6, 2021, I recorded the events at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. for a local news station back home in Florida.

BOOM! Karma Just Caught Up With DA Fani Willis!
In a late-night court filing last week, a pro-Trump attorney and former federal prosecutor seriously accused Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis of “prosecutorial misconduct.”
In a 21-page document, Sidney Powell, one of the few lawyers defending then-President Donald Trump who maintained that his victory in 2020 was rigged, contended that Willis’s “indictment represents troubling and unethical conduct by the prosecutors.”
According to The Messenger, the filing, which has over 200 pages of exhibits, also claimed that Willis’ office neglected to provide potentially exonerating material.
The Messenger reported: “Powell is charged with seven state felonies in the broad election-racketeering case that claims there was a plot to rig Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results.” She entered a not guilty plea.
Powell’s attorney, Brian Rafferty, indicated in the Thursday filing that all charges should be dropped and that the indictment “represents troubling and unethical conduct by the prosecutors.” Rafferty additionally stated that Powell was not connected in any kind to the events that occurred in Coffee County, Georgia, and asserted that prosecutors “failed to conduct an independent investigation” into allegations that voting systems were fraudulently hacked there, which are crucial to the indictment.

Along with Trump election lawyer Kenneth Chesebro, Powell is scheduled to go to trial starting Oct. 23 after the two requested expedited proceedings under Georgia’s Speedy Trial Act. A trial date for the other 17 defendants has not yet been scheduled.
Wednesday was the deadline for Powell and Chesebro to file pre-trial motions other than those dealing with the exclusion of testimony. In a separate filing Wednesday, Powell argued the indictment “fails in every regard” to specify the details of her alleged crime.
At a conference set for Friday morning in Atlanta, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee was anticipated to review pre-trial motions, the outlet added.
A renowned legal expert and a former prosecutor have both said that the indictment of the former president Trump in Georgia was needless and supported the Democratic Party’s allegations of a “pile on.”
Elie Honig was answering to the accusations made against Trump by Willis, as Newsweek revealed last week.
Willis indicted Trump and eighteen other people in August on a total of forty-one felonies, according to a 98-page document. For racketeering, each of the accused received the maximum penalty of 20 years. Trump entered a not guilty plea after having his mugshot taken in a jail in Atlanta towards the end of August.
Honig contended that Trump is already facing criminal charges for allegedly conspiring to rig seven states—including Georgia—into electing him president in 2020.
Honig stated that the Georgia allegations are “unnecessary and if anything, lend fuel to Trump’s claims…that this is just a Democratic Party pile on” during an appearance on the legal podcast “Cafe.”
According to Honig, the Department of Justice’s Special Counsel Jack Smith has already accused Trump of attempting to “steal the election nationwide and in seven states in particular, including Georgia.”
“So why is [the Atlanta indictment] in the greater good and why is it promoting public confidence in the fairness of this [process] to have one of those seven state prosecutors pile on with a charge of her own? I don’t think it serves any greater good,” he said.
The individual asserted that the indictment was politically biased, attributed to Willis:
“I disagree with the exercise of prosecutorial discretion by an elected county prosecutor, a partisan, with a D [for Democrat] next to her name. I think it makes Trump’s chances of being convicted and punished higher if that’s the only goal here. If that’s the only goal, all seven states: Michigan, New Mexico, and on down the line, should be charging him too but that would be ludicrous,” Honig said.

Parents may be interested in an upcoming information night in Waterloo on January 8th, 2024. While the local school alternative options will be relevant to the Waterloo region, the event will provide some discussions relevant to all schools in Ontario.
Cristina Bairos Fernandes, from Educating Minds: Parents of Waterloo Region (EMPOWR), was interviewed in an Epoch Times article recently:
In Waterloo, Ontario, a group of hundreds of parents has formed Educating Minds: Parents of Waterloo Region (EMPOWR). Some of them submit access-to-information requests related to what's being taught in schools. Some organize delegations for school board meetings, some work on informing parents about what's being taught, and some arrange protests.
Cristina Bairos Fernandes is one of these parents. She's helping to organize an information night for parents on Jan. 8 to discuss different school options. She said some parents are turning to homeschooling, some to homeschooling co-ops, and some to alternative schools, including private schools, forest schools (which focus on hands-on learning outdoors), and microschools (similar to the old one-room schoolhouse).
For those who want to stay in the public system, she said, the open house will provide guidance on how to stay aware of what's being taught and how to have conversations with teachers and principals about it.
Her children, ages 7 and 9, are in the Waterloo Region District School Board. She has challenged educators in the board about how gender and sexuality are presented to children, and it's tough work, she said. But she finds hope in a recent event.

Remember when CBC published fake news?
Earlier this year, the CBC relied on anonymous sources to report that Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s office contacted Crown prosecutors and pressured them on Covid-19 and the Coutts border blockade charges.
Smith, her office, and Crown prosecutors denied the allegations, and the CBC later updated the story to say it had not viewed the emails in question.
During the Alberta provincial election campaign, the narrative further unfolded when an ethics report from Commissioner Marguerite Trussler was released finding “no evidence of such an email.”
In light of the report, the CBC said it re-interviewed its sources who could not confirm that emails originally described were sent directly from Smith’s office to the Crown.
Finally, the state broadcaster significantly altered the story and said it regretted its reporting.
This is why honest and fair reporting is desperately needed in Alberta.
Albertans can’t rely on legacy media outlets to report the truth.

Catastrophic Tsunami Could Occur in Vancouver and Washington from Newfound Fault Line, Researchers Say
Scientists have discovered a fault line crossing a Canadian peninsula that could trigger a major tsunami.
Such an event would impact hundreds of thousands of people in the surrounding areas of Canada, and could even reach as far as the United States, Knewz.com has learned.
Researchers in France, the United States and Canada detailed the discovery of the fault line they named the "XEOLXELEK-Elk Lake fault," or "XELF" for short, in the journal Tectonics on Wednesday, December 6.
The study stemmed from suspicions that a fault line existed on the heavily forested Saanich Peninsula, situated on southeast Vancouver Island. Experts hiked through the area and conducted shallow geophysical surveys, finding evidence of magnetic activity that confirmed the existence of a fault, they said.
The XELF is characterized as a "slip-dip" fault, meaning rocks move vertically against each other rather than horizontally.
The fault spans about 45 miles and runs diagonally — northwest to southeast — along the peninsula, and "poses a hazard to the region's [approximately] 400,000 inhabitants," the research states.
If the XELF were to experience an earthquake, it could trigger a tsunami impacting not only Greater Victoria but also potentially Vancouver and parts of Washington state like Seattle, Bellingham, Olympia and Tacoma.
Evidence of an earthquake on the peninsula between 4,700 and 2,300 years ago reveals that this event is entirely possible. The research estimates the quake struck with a magnitude between 6.1 and 7.6, and likely induced a tsunami.
However, the knowledge of only a single earthquake from the XELF makes it difficult to predict when another might occur.
"The study's limitations, driven by the requirement for two separate earthquakes to estimate intervals, underscore the ongoing need for research to comprehend the hazard posed by the fault," ScienceTimes.com reported.
While predicting the timing of another earthquake is a challenging task, the researchers stressed the importance of delving into the fault's historical activity to assess the level of risk it poses to nearby populations.
"Determining whether it produced recent large earthquakes is important for updating regional earthquake hazard models and increasing earthquake preparedness," they said in the paper.
