SPIRITUAL:
A Day to be Humble
As the echo of trumpets and shofars resounds in our hearts, we now enter another set-apart time—the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).
It feels to me like the whole country is at the prayers of forgiveness “Slichot” at the Western wall, the closest wall you can get to to where the temple once stood.
This year, it begins at sundown on October 1 and ends at sundown on October 2.
This Feast of the Lord is outlined in Leviticus 23, focusing on repentance, cleansing from sin, and reconciliation with God:
"The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 'Now on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves and present a food offering to the Lord. And you shall not do any work on that very day, for it is a Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God… It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict yourselves; on the ninth day of the month beginning at evening, from evening to evening shall you keep your Sabbath.’"
Leviticus 23:26–32
God commanded Israel to humble themselves (fast, repent, and pray), while the High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies in intercession for the house of Israel.
As we enter this appointed time, this posture of humility is vitally important.
James 4:9–10 says:
"Grieve, mourn, and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up."
Throughout Scripture, we see that pride is something God hates. Wasn’t it pride that caused Lucifer to be cast out of heaven? James 4:6 also tells us that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
In Biblical Hebrew, humility (anavah, עֲנָוָה) is a posture of recognizing one’s complete dependence on God. It reflects a heart that is lowly before the Lord, willing to obey His will rather than assert one’s own strength or pride (Micah 6:8; Proverbs 22:4).
As we enter this season, let us search our hearts for pride, and as James reminds us, humble ourselves before the Lord.

These are ideological mercenaries—nonprofit cutouts that channel foreign funds, destabilize sovereign nations, manipulate elections, push t*********r ideology into schools, and destroy American values from within. Charlie Kirk was uncovering how these NGOs were using embedded operatives inside city councils, DA offices, and even the DOJ.
His final podcast, which has now been scrubbed from almost every platform, detailed a chain of financial transactions connecting Soros-linked PACs, shell LLCs in the Cayman Islands, and property transactions used to conceal payoffs to journalists, district attorneys, and public school curriculum developers.
