💥God’s WORD for TODAY!

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:7 KJV

He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psalm 23:3 KJV

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

John 7:37-38 KJV

A Sacrifice of Praise:

Pastor – Jack HIBBS

“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15

“Eat your vegetables,” was a familiar command of my mother. She might as well have said, “take a bath,” or some other edict that no ten-year-old boy wanted to hear. Both instructions were for my benefit, but I had other things in mind. Fast forward to my years of parenting, and I found myself issuing similar decrees with the same response from my children as I once had. It’s not surprising, then, as God’s children, we often balk at His commands, no matter how good they may be.

When God commands us to offer up the sacrifice of praise, He knows there are times it won’t be easy. Nor will it be what we necessarily want to do. It is, after all, a sacrifice, which by its nature is not rooted in feeling or impulse. Many times, I feel unchristian and dull of spirit, and the words don’t effortlessly fall from my lips. In those moments, the sacrifice becomes an act of obedience. Yet, despite my feelings, I have found power in God’s charge to offer up expressions of worship and gratitude. Praise lifts our hearts and soul above the things that darken our day and hold us down. The sacrifice of praise may remind us of eating our vegetables, but there is a life-giving strength and liberation in this offering. May God bring us all to the place of worship that transcends our little world to bring us face-to-face with His majesty. Awaiting His Return, [Pastor – Jack HIBBS]

CNN ridiculed for blaming pets for impact on Climate Change, advocating 'Insect-based Food' and adopting Small Rodents instead of Dogs:

The latest scapegoat for climate change is your lovable dog and cuddly cat. According to CNN, pets are a negative impact in regards to climate change. CNN gave green advice on how to reduce your pets' "carbon pawprint," including feeding your canine companion "insect-based food" and adopting small rodents instead of dogs.

Late last month, CNN published an article titled: "Our pets are part of the climate problem. These tips can help you minimize their carbon pawprints." The article went largely unnoticed until CNN promoted the article on social media – where it was widely ridiculed.

CNN claimed that pets "play a significant role in the climate crisis."

The outlet argued that the meat-heavy diet of pets is accelerating climate change.

The article cited a 2017 study that contended that feeding cats and dogs have the same carbon impact as 13.6 million cars on the road.

· The author conceded that you don't have to eliminate your furry friend, but you should embrace climate-friendly practices when it comes to having a pet.

· CNN advised pet owners to feed lab-grown meat and insects to their dogs. The article said "insect-based pet foods" are a nutritious source of protein.

· The author suggests picking up your dog's excrement and disposing of the poop in a toilet.

· The article recommends cat owners use an environmentally friendly kitty litter that is not made from clay.

· CNN instructed people on what kind of breed of dog they should have.

· "So, you might consider smaller breeds or species if you’re aiming to minimize your impact on the planet," the article reads. "A Chihuahua’s carbon pawprint will be much smaller than a Saint Bernard, for example."

· CNN even advises people to not adopt a dog at all, but instead get a smaller animal with less of a carbon footprint – such as birds, turtles, and small rodents.

· Reactions on Twitter lambasted and mocked the CNN article.

· Actor James Woods declared, "Okay. That’s it. Enough is enough. These liberal lunatics have gone after our guns, our cars, our money, our children, but when they go after our furry schnoot burgers, that’s. Game on!"

· Writer Ian Miles Cheong wrote on Twitter, "Environmentalists: 'Kill your pets. That’ll get rid of their carbon footprint.'"

· Singer Phil Labonte said, "PETA and climate activists are gonna come for your dog."

· A Twitter user pointed out, "CNN gets worse every day. Dogs and cats generally eat the parts of meat that people don't, so I don't see how this even makes sense."

· A commentator added, "Vanderbilt Cooper will still fly around on his private jet, but you want us to get rid of Fido to stop climate change." [The BLAZE Media]

Or we can say no. We have a choice, and it is not too late.

Justice Barrett turns down an emergency request to stop Biden’s student loan handout:

The Daily Caller reports that U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett has just turned down an emergency request looking to stop President Joe Biden’s student loan handout from taking effect.

The emergency request came from the Brown County Taxpayers Association of Wisconsin. Among other things, the association argued that Biden’s attempt to cancel the student loan debt through executive action alone is unconstitutional.

The association was asking the Supreme Court to temporarily block the Biden administration from putting the student loan handout in effect while the program’s legality is being litigated.

Barrett, however, as the overseer of the Wisconsin area, has denied that request without further explanation, as is the common practice in such situations.

Biden’s loan handout

Through executive action alone, Biden is trying to cancel up to $10,000 in federal student loan debt per borrower or up to $20,000 if the borrower is a Pell Grant recipient. To qualify, a borrower has to have an adjusted gross income of less than $125,000 if single or of less than $250,000 if married.

The plan, which has been heavily criticized, including by some Democrats, is estimated to cost around $500 billion.

Just recently, the Biden administration has begun to accept applications from qualified borrowers. The White House says that it has received around 22 million applications so far.

But there is a lot of uncertainty about whether the debt cancellation will ever happen as Biden’s plan is facing several lawsuits.

Court grants stay

One of the lawsuits challenging Biden’s student loan handout has been brought by six Republican-led states. And it appears that these states may be having some success.

The Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has issued a stay stopping the Biden administration from putting the student loan handout into effect while the court considers an appeal. The appeal comes from Republicans after a district court refused to hear the case on technical grounds.

The Biden administration, nonetheless, is moving forward with its preparations to put the student loan handout into effect.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, despite the stay, said that the Biden administration “will continue to move full speed ahead in our preparations in compliance with this order.” [Patriot News Alerts]

Former Chinese leader abruptly exits key assembly:

The country’s media claim his departure was linked to health issues:

Former Chinese president Hu Jintao left the closing session of a key Communist Party meeting abruptly on Saturday, when the nation’s new leadership was expected to be elected.

Videos that surfaced on social media showed two men approaching Hu, who was seated next to Chinese President Xi Jinping. Following a brief conversation, one of the men appeared to urge the 79-year-old to leave and grabbed him by the arm. Hu seemed reluctant to comply with the request.

Another official seated next to the former president then seemingly joined the conversation and said something to him. At one point, Hu appeared to be trying to take some documents located between him and Xi, but the Chinese president resisted this attempt. Otherwise, the incumbent leader [Xi] hardly reacted to the development at all.

As he left his seat on the stage of the Great Hall of the People, Hu appeared to address Xi once again, eliciting a brief reply and a nod. The former president then left the hall, accompanied by two officials.

Some Western commentators were quick to describe the move as a “purge,” while Western media reported that the former leader had been “escorted out” of the party congress. [R.T. News]

Up to now, the reins of power in the country have been handed to a new generation of leaders at the end of the outgoing leader’s second term. According to some media reports, Hu, who himself stepped down at the end of his own second term some 10 years ago, was opposed to allowing Xi to stay in his position for longer. Hu was the Chinese president between 2003 and 2013 and was succeeded by Xi.
