Beyond a doubt, one of the frustrating parts of our Christian walk is knowing when and where God is leading us. But the children of Israel had no such problem as they traveled through the wilderness. The cloud was a visible sign and symbol of God’s presence with His people. It might linger a couple days or rest much longer, but in a very real sense, they were confident of God’s leading, and they only moved when He did.

Just as the Israelites learned how to follow God, so must we. In my own life, He must deal plainly with me. The Lord has taught me to trust His lead, yet I often do not know if the desire to pursue a task or opportunity is of God. What am I to do? Look for His cloud, His glory. In Exodus 40:34, we read about the connection between the cloud and God’s glory. “Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.”

Two simple questions can help keep us from following our own inclinations. First, “Does what I am considering glorify Jesus?” We must reject whatever the thought or desire is if the answer is no or even questionable. Next, we should ask, “How will He be glorified in what I am pursuing?” 

 

When our goal is to bring God honor, nothing else really matters. May your ambition be to always follow His lead, and in the process glorify Him.

Alberta does hospitals in a new way:

Aren't you glad we're not pursuing... a "one size fits all", But rather,,, "best model wins" philosophy?

Alberta is introducing measures to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles from its hospitals in an effort to deliver faster service and “better patient outcomes,” Premier Danielle Smith says.

Hospital-based leadership will play a crucial role in the transformation of health care throughout the province, Smith said in a June 17 announcement, saying that what works in large urban centres like Calgary may not yield the same results in smaller cities like Red Deer or rural communities like Peace River.

 

Smith said the province’s hospitals have fallen into a “bureaucratic vortex” of inefficiency as hospitals wait for days, weeks, or months to receive approval for hiring or ordering supplies, causing delays in patient care.

“Frontline staff struggle to care for patients with their hands tied behind their backs,” Smith said in a video posted to social media. “This is what the current structure has created, distance from the problem and delays in the solution.”

 

Smith cited some examples of how bureaucracy is impacting hospitals across the province on issues like hiring and purchase orders.

“A department head tries to fill a maternity leave, she sends the request up the chain, but the approval doesn’t come back until the nurse is almost back from her maternity leave,” Smith explained. “And sometimes it’s as basic as buying chairs, but the hospital has to wait weeks for central purchasing.”

The province is moving away from a corporate administrative framework to focus on local decision-making through hospital-based leadership teams, Smith said. Each hospital will have its own leadership team to deal with hiring, managing resources, and problem-solving.

 

Alberta Health Services (AHS) health zones will be eliminated as part of the transition, with acute care facilities being integrated into seven regional corridors under the new leadership framework. All acute care facilities will be accountable to Acute Care Alberta.

 

AHS, the province’s health authority, will continue to provide hospital-based services, however, concentrating on key priorities such as improving wait times and supporting quality hospital care for patients, Smith said. It will also be responsible for setting boundaries, tracking performance, and holding leadership accountable.

 

The province implemented new legislation this year to restructure Alberta’s health-care system, dividing AHS into four distinct organizations, each focused on a different type of care.

The four health agencies are Primary Care, which addresses family medicine; Acute Care, which is intended for hospital services; Assisted Living to enhance home and community services; and Recovery Alberta, which is responsible for managing mental health and addiction issues.

 

The Opposition NDP has argued that the structural changes being enacted by Smith’s government represent a step toward privatizing health care.

 

“Health care should be there for all of us when we need it,” NDP health critic Sarah Hoffman said in a June 13 social media post. “Instead, the UCP is pushing privatization, leading to worse health outcomes.”

Smith said the first test of the hospital-based leadership model is expected to be in place as of November of this year, before being implemented province-wide by the summer of 2026.

 

Hospital-based leadership will apply only to AHS acute care facilities, the province said. Other acute care organizations will remain unaffected during the implementation phase.

📉 From Surplus to Scandal: What Really Bankrupted the Thames Valley District School Board?

Just four years ago, the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) posted a $3.5 million surplus.

Today? The deficit has ballooned to a projected $13.7 to $15.9 million, with executive resignations piling up, public trust shattered, and provincial oversight now firmly in place.


According to a 10-week forensic audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the board went from financially stable in 2020-2021 to utterly mismanaged by 2024-2025, with a $17.3 million in-year deficit reported last year. The findings included:

  • ·        Unauthorized promotions of senior staff

  • ·        COVID stipends of nearly $24,000 per person, in breach of guidelines

  • ·        Lavish retreats ($38,000 at the SkyDome hotel)

  • ·        Compensation irregularities and blatant disregard for policy

 

The most recent blow? The sudden resignation of superintendent Geoff Vogt, who was overseeing 10 school construction projects across the region. His position won’t be replaced due to cost-cutting—leaving trustees and taxpayers wondering: how will the board build anything at all now?

 

🐘 Is Political Ideology Driving the Deficit?

Here’s the question no one inside the boardroom seems willing to ask:

Could the TVDSB’s financial and enrollment collapse have more to do with politics than payroll?

Let’s break it down:

  • ·        TVDSB has lost thousands of students in recent years.

  • ·        Meanwhile, homeschooling is booming.

  • ·        Local education pods and micro-schools are forming in record numbers.

  • ·        Even the London District Catholic School Board is seeing a surge in enrollment that eerily mirrors TVDSB’s drop.

 

Is it just coincidence? Or are parents voting with their feet—leaving the board because they’ve had enough of:

  • ·        COVID-era mandates and lockdowns that never really ended?

  • ·        The aggressive promotion of DEI, gender ideology, and the hyper-sexualization of classroom content?

  • ·        The politicization of education while literacy and math scores plummet?

 

It’s the elephant in the room.

You won’t find it in the audit report. You won’t hear it from trustees scrambling to “rebuild trust.” And you certainly won’t see it on the list of recovery recommendations.

But ask any parent who’s pulled their child from the public system—and they’ll tell you:

It wasn’t the budget cuts that drove them away. It was the board’s betrayal of common sense.

 

🕵️‍♂️ Recovery or Cover-Up?

Just days before another high-level resignation, Thames Valley’s Ministry-appointed supervisor, Paul Boniferro, announced that all board and committee meetings (except special education and audit sessions) are cancelled until the end of 2025.

That means:

  • ·        No public trustee meetings

  • ·        No standing committee sessions

  • ·        No opportunity for parents or the public to ask questions


Boniferro says the goal is to “restore financial stability” and “public confidence.” But how can public confidence be restored when transparency is being removed?


Now, even OSSTF and CUPE — two of the most ideologically active unions in the education system — are voicing concerns.

But let’s not forget:These are the same organizations that organized and supported counter-protests against parents during the 1 Million March for Children, a peaceful movement calling for an end to the sexualization of classrooms and the political push of gender ideology in schools.


So when these unions now claim to be defending public accountability, we think it’s fair to ask:

  • •        Are they genuinely defending transparency?

  • •        Or are they concerned that deeper financial scrutiny might expose decisions or influences they were closely tied to?

 

We’re not making accusations — but parents and taxpayers deserve to ask these questions.

If this board is truly committed to regaining trust, it must welcome oversight — not suppress it.

 

❗️What Now?

TVDSB leadership is being hollowed out. Enrollment is falling. Transparency is disappearing. And the board has lost the confidence of its families, its staff, and even the province.


Unless real change happens—not just in accounting practices, but in values and priorities—there won’t be anything left to salvage.

You can’t rebuild trust in darkness. You can’t fix mismanagement by silencing oversight. And you can’t fix the deficit until you admit what really caused it.

‘Covid Deaths’ Skyrocketed Among the Vaccinated:

The study titled, Paradoxical increase in global COVID-19 deaths with vaccination coverage: World Health Organization estimates (2020–2023), was just published in the International Journal of Risk & Safety in Medicine:

Background

Many reports on the impact of vaccination on COVID-19 pandemic deaths were projections undertaken as the global emergency was unfolding. An increasing number of independent investigators have drawn attention to the subjective nature and inherent biases in mathematical models used for such forecasts that could undermine their accuracy when excess mortality was the metric of choice.

 

Objective

COVID-19 deaths were compared between the pre-vaccines and vaccination eras to observe how vaccination impacted COVID-19 death trajectory worldwide during the pandemic emergency.

 

Methods

COVID-19 cases, deaths and vaccination rates in World Health Organization (WHO) database till 07 June 2023, Case fatality rate per 1000 for the pre-vaccines period (CFR1), and that over vaccination era (CFR2) were compared for all WHO regions, while tests of correlation between the percentage change in COVID-19 deaths and variables of interest were examined.

 

Results

COVID-19 deaths increased with vaccination coverage ranging from 43.3% (Africa) to 1275.0% (Western Pacific). The Western Pacific (1.5%) and Africa (3.8%) regions contributed least to the global cumulative COVID-19 deaths pre-vaccines, while the Americas (49.9%) and Europe (27.6%) had the highest counts. The Americas (39.8%) and Europe (34.1%) accounted for >70% of global COVID-19 deaths despite high vaccination, and the percentage increase in COVID-19 mortality and the percentage of person’s ≥65 years were significantly correlated (0.48) in Africa.

 

Conclusion

COVID-19 mortality increased in the vaccination era, especially in regions with higher vaccination coverage.
