Sunday 12 - [8]- 24...

Verses for today:

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

John 3:34-35 KJV

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8 KJV

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1 John 4:16 KJV

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 11:25-26 KJV

“Do not fear, for I am with you.”…Isaiah 41:10

What if Fear Is the Real Battlefield?

FearThe true weapon from the enemy. As I was shoveling the driveway this morning, I began reflecting on Faithfully Fearless.”Why has this name been placed on my heart? What does it truly mean to be...       Faithfully Fearless?

My phone was in the shop getting fixed and I found myself, immersed in the moment. Something I haven’t fully done in a long time.Constantly distracted by noise, clutter, pings and that addiction of I just need to check something.

I was present in my task. Shoveling. Not an exciting task. But one that brought about physical labour, a goal, and satisfaction once complete. Through the labour outside, in the fresh winter air, listening to my boys clearing snow off the two vehicles, I actually felt this sense of peace and calm.

There was nowhere else I needed to be. Nothing else I needed to do. No one else vying for my attention. I was present. With this presence not only did I realize the grips my phone can have over me, us.

Whether consciously or subconsciously. It finally gave me time to think, but not just think. To hear my thoughts and listen. It brought me back to fear.

How much of our lives are manipulated by fear.

  • Fear of missing out - they even had to name it - FOMO.

  • Fear of being rejected.

  • Fear of standing out.

  • Fear of saying or doing the wrong thing.

  • Fear of illness.

  • Fear of our body, our symptoms.

  • Fear of birth.

  • Fear of each other - “are they shedding?” “are they vaks’d or not?” “stay in your bubble” “isolate and stay 6 feet apart.”

  • Fear of breath, of the air - wear a mask.

  • Fear of dying.

  • Fear of finances.

  • Fear of change, of making a mistake.

  • Fear of the world, politics, rules, authority.

  • Fear of poisons, toxins, chemicals - food/products.

  • Fear of the sky - “chemtrails.”

  • Fear itself. I couldn’t help but realize - fear is the real enemy here.

  • Fear is the true fight for our freedom, for our lives, for joy, success, happiness.

  • Fear is the battle ground and the enemy has us all exactly where he wants us.

When fear can impede our thoughts, our beliefs, our decisions and our family.

We are commanded to not fear.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

— Deuteronomy 31:6

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

— Psalm 23:4

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

— Isaiah 41:10

“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

— Matthew 6: 25-27 + 34

What if we actually walked in this faith without fear? If we trusted our bodies to heal, to birth to take care of us?

  • What if we did not fear rejection or retribution?

  • What if we did not fear change? What others might think of us?

  • What if we trusted that God would always provide for us when we do His will and trust in His promises?

  • What if we didn’t fear what was happening in the world?

  • What if we removed fear and instead walked in faith in our identity as children of the King.

  • We walked in His gift, in freedom and His Victory.

  • We walked in confidence.

  • What if we all were Faithfully Fearless?

A lot of our decisions can be based in fear and worry of the worst case. There is a difference between fear and being aware and common-sense thinking. But most decisions we tend to make in fear to avoid the worst case scenarios that our mind comes up with. It’s not true.

We have no idea if it will happen. But we thought it, we felt it, and we base decisions from an emotional response we have manifested in our body.Fear is a Liar.

Fear is from the enemy.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

— 1 John 4:18

We have to take power over fear, hold it captive and take control. Fear is the real enemy. Fear is what is truly at stake. Fear is the fight for our freedom. We need to stop feeding into the fear, or even the negative that surrounds us. Instead walk in trust, love and hope.

Focus on the beauty all around us, be aware but do not give away our power to negative energy siphons. I’ve had too many conversations with people where fear has been the driving force of decisions being made. It is my mission to not walk myself Faithfully Fearlessly but to help others do the same. To walk in Love, courage and conviction, in our identity that we are children of the King.

  • We are already victorious,

  • we are divinely created,

  • we are here to be beacons to cast light into the darkness and build up the Kingdom for God’s glory.

It’s time to remove fear, step into love - the care bear stare.

This is the true battlefield we must be on.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

— Joshua 1:9

The Alberta Roundup | Christmas deemed not inclusive enough by elementary school:

An Albertan elementary school in Whitecourt cancelled its winter concert before Christmas break after the principal said it wasn’t inclusive enough.

Plus, a second Alberta town has voted to pass a bylaw to ensure that all public buildings, crosswalks, and flags remain “neutral” on social or political issues.

And Albertans can soon look forward to the removal of photo radar sites.

Russia turns to bartering... Are we going back in time?

The country’s agricultural companies explore trading chickpeas for rice and mandarin oranges with other Asian countries to get around international sanctions. The Kremlin has put together a guide for such transactions and is confident that bartering ‘will increase competitiveness’

International bank sanctions have pushed Russian businesses to reinvent themselves. Bartering, a practice dating back to the Neolithic era and employed during past economic crises, has emerged as an alternative for the country’s firms as they try to circumvent sanctions imposed by the West over the invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin, which has failed in its attempt to replace imports with its “made in Russia” project, has even produced a guide for these rudimentary transactions.

One of the country’s largest agricultural companies, Astarta Agrotrading, signed two important agreements with Pakistan in October. “We will exchange chickpeas for rice with one company and chickpeas for mandarins with another,” the owner of the holding, Stanislav Neveinitsyn, told Russian news agency Interfax.

The announcement marks the first major test of this kind of transaction. The fact that the exchange will be carried out “by weight” and future customs taxes are among the issues that have yet to be resolved. The chickpea-for-rice trade was set at 10,000 tons, but there are some kinks to work out in the second agreement before trades begin in December. “I still cannot say anything about the volume of mandarins because we are going to test them, in the literal sense of the word,” Neveinitsyn said.

In August, several Russian and Chinese companies discussed the possibility of bartering, according to Reuters, although no major exchange has been formalized so far.

Russian business sources have confirmed to EL PAÍS that delays and blockages in payments via Chinese banks continue. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed these problems with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Putin’s trip to China in May, but Chinese entities continue to adhere to U.S. sanctions. According to these same sources, the only option open to Russian businesses is “jumping” from one regional Chinese bank to another when international transactions are declined.

Astarta Agrotrading’s agreements have revitalized a Kremlin initiative that seemed to have been fading out: the Navigator for Barter in Foreign Trade. The Ministry of Economic Development launched the guide in the spring to guide companies through regulation compliance while bartering. In addition, it includes various contract formats and a protocol for determining the value of goods and services exchanged.

“This will improve the competitiveness of Russian companies on the international stage,” said Veronika Nikishina, general director of the Russian Export Center. Soon after the publication of the guide, the head of the Ministry, Andrey Belousov, was chosen by Putin as the new Minister of Defense.

“Bartering is especially useful in times of volatility and monetary restrictions […] it bolsters mutual trust […] and its offerings are more attractive. Businesses can reduce the cost of acquiring necessary goods and services and it allows them to offer more competitive prices,” the Russian government’s pamphlet states.

But bartering also raises certain concerns. For one, it could make it easier to evade customs taxes by establishing product value with subjective criterion. Secondly, Russian firms remain dependent on foreign currency inflows to be able to import machinery and raw materials. “We need money for our exports, not mandarins,” Arkady Zlochevsky, president of the Russian Grain Union, told The Moscow Times.

In addition to its recommendations that businesses agree beforehand on how products will be packed and that they study what custom rate they will pay so as not to run into any surprises later on, the guide includes a brief section that describes the calculation of coefficients for estimating product value.

Bartering is particularly focused on food, a sector in which Russia has managed to rely on its own production more or less successfully since 2014, when Moscow imposed restrictions on imports of European agricultural products in response to sanctions over its illegal annexation of Crimea.

Since Russia initiated its war against Ukraine, the Kremlin has improvised a series of measures to evade international sanctions. In addition to bartering, it has legalized some previously contraband products, which Moscow euphemistically refers to as “parallel imports.” That initiative, which was approved in 2022, legalized the purchase of foreign products without the consent of their manufacturers.

DAMASCUS FALLS:

Some Christians thought Damascus would be destroyed per Isaiah 17.  I knew it wouldn't because our booklet* (pg 9) describes its demise after the Turks are chased out of Europe all the way into Syria.  Trapped between Christian armies to the north and Israeli armies to the south they shock the world by detonating the largest suicide bomb imaginable in Damascus to take as many enemies with them as possible. (Time for an international peace plan with teeth)

*

Some thought God would protect Assad because he and Putin protected the Christians.  I doubted that because God wants his chosen people to occupy the whole Promised Land.  (Watch out Jordan)
