Freedom or Liberty?

There is a great deal of confusion over the meaning of Freedom today. Is it the same thing as Liberty? Not really, despite the fact that politicians and bible translators use both interchangeably (e.g. Galatians 5:13 is interpreted both ways). We haven't always been this confused. Freedom is in your head. Liberty is in your government. Both require measures of discipline to be effective. Ask any soldier.
I think the best way to understand the difference is to look at the difference between Power and Authority. Ask any group that fights tyranny if they want more authority or more power and they'll quickly tell you they already have the authority, their rights, but they don't have enough power. They know they are born free, but they are not at liberty to exercise that freedom.
It is very dangerous to desire power which is not authorized either by the stateor by God. It can get you killed. It can get you sent to hell. Too many Christians want the power of self-determination, even the power to heal, cast out devils, and do miracles, etc. without going to Jesus who said, "All authority is given to me in heaven and earth". Thus, he tells such people who preached and did good works in his name, "Get away from me. I never knew you" (Matthew 7:22-23).
On the other hand, there are those who have been given the authority, have been commissioned, called, ordained or whatever way you want to put it - and they appear powerless, "having the form of godliness but denying the power thereof" (2 Timothy 3:5). They are lackeys, hirelings, worthless servants disconnected from the power of the Holy Spirit. They are Christian soldiers who act like cowards in the face of the enemy. In the armed forces they are put on trial for mutiny.
Likewise, we must be very careful in choosing Freedom or Liberty. The bloody French Revolutionists carried the flag of "Liberty, Fraternity and Equality" while they raped corpses and played with the heads of just about any group, they encountered on the way to destroy Christianity and its kingdom on earth. They tried to inspire the USA to follow suit by donating the Statue of Liberty, which was echoed in the Liberty bell and the cry to "Give me liberty or give me death". And death followed big-time during the War of Independence, the conquest of the Native tribes, and the Civil War. Such Liberty without God's discipline is a step forward and two steps back, which the Fascists and Communists discovered as well.
A person can have Freedom without this dangerous political Liberty. St. Paul said, " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). He was free. He was also in prison when he wrote this. He knew that if God wanted to, He could send an angel to unlock the prison just as He did for the apostles in Acts 5 and later Acts 12. Have no fear of what men can do to the body here on earth. That includes pandemics. Rev. Richard Wurmbrand described his years in a horrible Communist prison as being peaceful like a monk in his monastery cell. Everyone who feels isolated today should read the sermons he wrote about it, or the book With God in Solitary Confinement. Here's a free PDF you can download:
It becomes clear to see that real freedom is not a matter of physical confinement or treatment, but a state of mind, of bliss even, when you know it is authorized by God and accompanied by the power of His Holy Spirit, which will use even such circumstances to discipline the mind as effectively as you might enjoy with full liberty.
We must trust that God is always in charge and will use liberty or the lack of it to accomplish His will, which includes blessings and penances depending upon which is best for us at any given time. Yes, there is a time for everything, as Solomon put it, including a time to build back better and a time to tear down. I believe we are in a time to tear down the structures that foster unauthorized freedom. I'm referring to the freedom to walk about naked like the emperor who had no clothes, now the Empress who has practically no clothes, and everyone pretends not to notice. I'm referring to the freedom to work or play every day of the week without any respect for Sabbath rest, constantly enjoying television or cell-phone activity. Turn it off for one day a week, will you? For Jesus’ sake. If you don't, He will. And you'll be thankful in heaven if that's your choice. You may have no liberty to be active in church, but you have freedom to choose which place you will spend eternity.

WHO Director Tedros Confesses Boosters Being Used to Kill Children

The WHO is at the top of a list of corrupt organizations that cannot be trusted. It should be dismantled and many of the people working there should be arrested and prosecuted. The WHO has lost all credibility or legitimacy.

- Trudeau announced a ban against the use of plastics starting in 2022. He could have let the bureaucrats regulate which plastics are acceptable (bio-degradable); but this way helps to destroy the oil industry.
- The Pope shocked everyone in the Vatican by accepting the resignation of African Cardinal Peter Turkson and his men in the department for climate change and other social justice issues like peace, migration, and charities. It seems that Peter wasn't liberal enough. I think Turkson was getting too much resistance from conservatives in the church, so now he looks like a moderate! Just watch. He'll be back once this new image is accepted. Some say he'll be that pope called Peter, the last pope on St. Malachi's prophecy list.
- Maxime Bernier's People's Party is enjoying success from the last election, not because they won more seats but because they won more votes, enough to qualify them for government rebates that amount to 50% of what they spent campaigning. That's like half a million dollars more than they got back in the previous election which was zilch.
- Canada's Auditor General says the CRA call centres are still providing lousy service. After four years of being told to pull up their socks, taxpayer's ombudsman (sorry, ombudsperson) said they get so many complaints about the service he's considering a "systemic examination into the matter". Callers to the CRA have to wait for hours on the phone, often to be transferred and wait again. They get wrong information from agents 30% of the time, and 64% of the calls were not even answered! Call-backs from CRA are impossible. Good luck with your income tax in 2022.
- Less people showed up for church at Christmas than ever before. A new Canadian poll (ACS) reveals that the number of respondants who said they never attend services increased from 30% pre-pandemic to 67%. In Quebec it's 91%!
- Canada's first Christian rock music host, Larry McGill, had much internal discharge of blood with urine after he was treated in the hospital on Sunday, and asked me to pass this on for prayer.

💥💥Pfizer Lied About Cardiovascular Deaths in Vaccine Trials:
“I hate my life so much right now.” Those are the heart wrenching words that professional mountain bike racer Kyle Warner stated on an Instagram video this week. The 29-year-old professional athlete received a triple-whammy after taking the second Pfizer shot for COVID. He developed sudden pericarditis, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and reactive arthritis. His health and professional career have been permanently destroyed.
Six people in his vaccine injury support group have killed themselves in the last month. Warner is trying to use his status as a vaccine victim to call for liability against Big Pharma, due to the very real harm that their vaccines are causing. And he may eventually win that fight, now that we know that Pfizer lied about the number of deaths that were caused during its clinical trials.
The Pfizer shot was initially cleared for emergency use authorization when its existence was announced back in December of 2020. At that time, Pfizer told us that even though the shot was safe and effective, they were now going to start conducting safety trials on it. You know, just to reassure everyone as to the safety and effectiveness. They vaccinated 22,000 people with their miracle medicine and gave another 22,000 people in the control group a placebo saline shot.
Fast-forward to July of this year, when they posted the first six months’ worth of data. On July 28, Pfizer claimed that 15 people in the vaccinated group had died, compared to 14 in the placebo group. Only three people in both groups died of COVID. Most of the people in the vaccinated group died of cardiovascular or heart-related illnesses.

Refuse to Ride on the Stagecoach of Fear:

The story begins on a mountain pass in Calaveras County, California, on July 26, 1875. It was the first of 28 stage coach robberies spanning the next 8 years. The man who suddenly jumped out of the bushes and appeared before the Wells Fargo coach was wearing a long soiled duster over his clothes and a flour sack over his head with holes cut for the eyes. He was carrying a double-barrel 12 gauge shotgun. It was “Black Bart” – a name that had become synonymous with the danger of the frontier.
A deep voice commanded the coach driver, John Shine: “Please throw down the box!” Yes, he was known as a most courteous outlaw, sometimes even leaving poetry behind at the scene of his crimes. Unusual to say the least, but still greatly feared. Bart then yelled, “If he dares shoot, give him a solid volley, boys!” Shine looked around, and protruding from the boulders were what appeared to be six rifles. He quickly reached beneath his seat and withdrew the Wells Fargo strongbox - a padlocked wooden box reinforced with iron bands - this day containing $348, and tossed it to the ground. He warned his ten passengers to refrain from doing anything stupid.
With a sweep of his hand, Bart motioned the coach on its way. As Shine drove away he took a quick glance back, and saw the man attacking the box with a hatchet. He drove a short distance – stopped the stage - walked back down the road to retrieve the box, and saw the half dozen guns still levelled at him from between the boulders. He stood still and then realized they weren’t moving. Further cautious investigation revealed it was sticks pointed at him, and what he had feared would have never harmed him. Not rifles in the hands of dangerous men, but simply sticks.
Black Bart. A hooded bandit, working alone, armed with only one deadly weapon. Fear. Yes, fear is power – but only for those instilling it. Conversely it is paralyzing – for those buying into it.
The reasons for fear can be wide and varied. Fear of failure, embarrassment, criticism, what’s going to happen tomorrow, or in the future - and of course the fear that’s enveloped many the past two years.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, the Bible says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” There are at least 355 ‘fear nots’ in the Bible; almost one for every day of the year.
Or if you prefer instead Oprah Winfrey’s explanation: “The thing you fear most has no power. Your fear of it is what has the power. Facing the truth really will set you free.”
So if I understand that correctly, it would seem that being fearful is a choice, and we enter into it of our own volition.
Oh yes, and there’s even more to the Black Bart story. After 28 successful robberies it turns out that he too was nothing to fear. When the authorities finally tracked him down, what they found wasn’t a bloodthirsty bandit from Death Valley, but a mild-mannered druggist from Decatur, Illinois. He’d left his wife years earlier for the California gold rush, and when that reaped no rewards, had turned to crime. His real name was Charles E. Boles – the bandit who never rode a horse because he was afraid of them, and never fired a shot because he never once loaded his gun.
If this story has given cause for reflection, suffice to say that with 2022 on the horizon, my most sincere wish is that we don’t slide mindlessly into a “horrid new fear”, but instead a blessed, fulfilling, and “Happy New Year!”

Overview
Internment/resettlement specialists are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility.

Requirements
Those who want to serve must first take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, a series of tests that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.
Training
Job training for an internment/resettlement specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and in the field.
