CAF and Huron police to conduct door-to-door “Wellness Check” Exercise:
The Canadian Armed Forces will be part of an extreme heat scenario exercise in communities throughout Huron County, Ont. next week that will see soldiers and police knocking on people’s doors to perform “wellness checks.”
The exercise, called “Trillium Venture” will take place from May 3-5.
According to an OPP press release, the purpose of the exercise is to “enhance interoperability with other governmental departments, as we work together to respond to a simulated extreme heat scenario.”
Huron County Ontario Provincial Police will be working alongside members of the 31 Canadian Brigade Group.
“Members of the public will see the deployment of Domestic Response Companies (DRCs) and Territorial Battalion Group (TBG) sustainment equipment, and vehicles to validate the ability to deploy and sustain in real time,” reads the Huron OPP release.
“This is being done to create a more challenging, realistic training exercise, and will see soldiers conducting fire training, wellness checks, simulated search and rescue operations, cooling centre establishment, as well as other related activities.”
According to Maj. Paul Pickering of 31 Canadian Brigade Group, the exercise will simulate a realistic scenario that involves a 13-day heat wave with a severe storm that causes power outages, damage to infrastructure and homes, as well as water shortages in some communities.
Pickering addressed Bruce County council on April 4, to tell them that he expects around 800 military personnel, predominantly reservists, to be deployed in Huron and Bruce County next week.
“All measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience to those in the area,” reads the release. “Members of the public are asked to take extra caution if approaching military vehicles and troops and are thanked in advance for their understanding and cooperation.”
According to Pickering, the goal of the exercise is to get to as many area communities as possible, with soldiers going door-to-door in towns.
HISTORY:
After the revelation that the Canadian military ran an “information campaign,” which resembled a psychological operation, aimed at “influencing the Canadian public during the COVID-19 pandemic,” and continued for months despite orders by the chief of defence staff to shut it down in the spring of 2020, this latest exercise has people alarmed.
By September of 2020, the military’s special propaganda unit had deployed loudspeakers in Nova Scotia to generate wolf noises to deceive Canadian soldiers into believing real wolves were in the area near their military bases.
It was supposed to test the use of loudspeakers during psyop training – giving Orwellian 1984 vibes – but the exercise accidentally spread to civilians when a forged Nova Scotia’s Department of Lands and Forestry letter was released, warning residents that wolves were roaming the streets and posed a threat to pets and children.
It was a tale of incompetence and soldiers acting without authorization, again.

Judge Rules Trump Can Attend Son Barron’s High School Graduation

The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s so-called “hush-money” trial said Tuesday that he can attend his son’s high school graduation in May.
At a hearing on Tuesday morning, Judge Juan Merchan granted a request from President Trump’s attorneys asking the judge to allow him to appear at his son Barron’s May 17 high graduation. The judge previously had not allowed the former president to attend a Supreme Court hearing in Washington, which occurred last week.
“We picked the jury pretty quickly,” the judge said, adding: “So Mr. Trump can certainly attend that date.”
It is not clear whether the trial will continue on May 17 while President Trump is in Florida to attend the event.
Several weeks ago, the former president was critical of the judge after he did not issue a ruling on whether he could attend his son’s high school graduation and for not allowing him to attend the Supreme Court hearing. The judge also warned President Trump that he needs to show up every day the trial is in session or there “will be an arrest.”
“I was looking forward to that graduation with his mother and father there,” President Trump told reporters at the time. “It looks like the judge isn’t going to allow me to escape this scam. It’s a scam trial.”
Also Tuesday, Judge Merchan found President Trump in contempt of the court for what he said were gag order violations for issuing multiple posts on social media and via his campaign website. He fined the former president $1,000 for nine posts, $9,000 in total, and ordered him to remove the posts, although he found that a post in which President Trump called witnesses Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels “sleaze bags” wasn’t in violation of the order.
If President Trump continues to make posts that are said to violate the gag order, the judge warned, he could face incarceration. The judge also lamented that state law prohibits him from fining the former president more.
The former president, who is in court on Tuesday, has not issued a comment on Judge Merchan’s ruling. Previously, he and his attorneys have argued it is a violation of his First Amendment rights and that he was just making posts in response to attacks in the middle of a presidential election.
This Court rejects Defendant’s arguments and finds that the People have established the elements of criminal contempt beyond a reasonable doubt as to Exhibits 2-10,” his ruling stated. “Defendant violated the Order by making social media posts about known witnesses pertaining to their participation in this criminal proceeding and by making public statements about jurors in this criminal proceeding.”
In the case, President Trump faces 34 felony counts for allegedly falsifying business records stemming from payments made to Ms. Daniels, who alleged that she engaged in an affair with the former president years earlier. He has denied her claims and has pleaded not guilty.
Prosecutors say that President Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid Ms. Daniels $130,000 and allegedly covered up the expense as legal services as part of a plan to break election laws. His attorneys have argued that the payments were personal expenses, while the former president said the case, brought by Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg, is a form of election interference.
Court resumed Tuesday with witness Gary Farro, a banker who helped Mr. Cohen open accounts, including one that Mr. Cohen used to send a payment to Ms. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. She alleged a 2006 affair with President Trump, which he denies.
Jurors so far have heard from two other witnesses. The former president’s ex-assistant, Rhona Graff, recounted that she recalled once seeing Ms. Clifford at President Trump’s office suite in Trump Tower and said the performer may have been a potential contestant for one of President Trump’s “Apprentice”-brand shows.
Former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker laid out how he agreed to serve as the 2016 campaign’s “eyes and ears” by helping to squelch unflattering rumors.
Outside the courtroom Tuesday, President Trump criticized prosecutors again. “This is a case that should have never been brought,” he said.
“Our country’s going to hell and we sit here day after day after day, which is their plan, because they think they might be able to eke out an election,” he said last week in the courthouse hallway.

Candace Cameron Bure Talks Hollywood’s Growing Interest in Jesus: ‘It’s Pretty Incredible’

Actress and outspoken Christian Candace Cameron Bure addressed the continued interest in Jesus amongst people in Hollywood.
“It’s pretty incredible from the people that I’ve walked hand-in-hand with and encouraged along the way,” Bure told CBN News in a recent interview. “And just to have a small part of knowing that I planted a seed, or maybe spoke a word that encouraged them along to become a believer — or strengthen their faith in Christ.”
One of those people whom Bure has encouraged is “Wonder Years” star Danica McKellar, who came to saving faith after Bure personally shared the Word of God with her.
“I just want people to feel that they’re not alone, that there’s love for you at any time, and it’s such a gift,” McKellar said of her faith journey during an interview with CBN News last year.
For Bure, she is thankful that God has allowed her to be a voice to bring others to Him, Faithwire reports.
“It humbles me that God would use me,” the “Fuller House” star said. “I give Him such great thanks for allowing me to use my voice and not be fearful of it — to not sit scared to tell my friends about Jesus.”
She also noted she is “humbled” and encouraged by people who message her on social media thanking her for being outspoken about her faith.
During the interview with CBN News, Bure shared how she previously stayed away from Christian films due to their bad reputation of having poor quality. However, she says that such films have become more artistic and powerful nowadays.
“Within the last, I would say, five years, the quality is incredible,” she said. “It’s like people of faith are coming out of the woodwork.”
For instance, Bure starred in, and executive produced the faith-based film “Unsung Hero,” which was released in theaters last week.

The Bible states that all are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God. Because of this fallen and sinful nature, every human needs God’s grace and forgiveness.

More bad news for COVID-vaccinated people with immunity issues: John Blumenthal:

LOS ANGELES -- In early March, I wrote a column for cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer in which I speculated about how much protection the COVID-19 vaccines would provide for those with immunity issues. There was no research on this subject at the time.
I wrote about my friend, Tom, who is a member of that unfortunate club. Following a kidney transplant in 2003, Tom began taking immunosuppressant meds each day and has ever since. Although these drugs (which prevent his body from rejecting the kidney) have allowed him to lead a normal life, his resistance to infection is compromised.
Tom is a world-class worrier and now he had something beyond the pandemic to fret about: People with all types of immunity issues (about 3% of adults in the United States) had not been included in the vaccines’ clinical trials. Would the vaccines give them any defense against COVID-19? Nobody knew, but Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, advised people like Tom to get vaccinated because some immunity is better than none. Tom got his two shots.
An avid Googler, Tom recently turned to his favorite search engine to see if there had been any research on the subject. As luck would have it, he found a recently published Johns Hopkins study that had researched the level of immunity kidney transplant recipients could expect from the vaccines. The figures for antibodies following the first shot were not encouraging -- only 17% had any detectable antibodies.
Curious about his own antibody levels, Tom did more Googling and managed to get himself into the Hopkins study. By this time, he had missed the first study but they accepted him after his second shot.
In May, Johns Hopkins published the results of the second study in which those who had received their second shot were tested. The numbers improved — 54% had detectible antibodies; 46% had none.
A week later, Tom received an email from the researchers. He had tested “low-positive” for antibodies. Not great but better than zero.
Tom was encouraged until he read this statement by one of the researchers, Dr. Dorry Segev, of John Hopkins: “Given these observations, transplant recipients should not assume that two vaccine doses guarantee sufficient immunity against SARS-CoV-2 any more than it did after just one dose.”
After a third study involving a tiny group of 30 transplant patients that had received boosters, Johns Hopkins scientists determined that one-third of the people that had shown no detectible antibodies in the previous two tests had some after the booster. Among those that had shown low levels of antibodies in the first two studies, many had increased their levels to a higher range.
But because this study had involved only 30 people, Hopkins decided to continue it with more booster recipients. Tom hasn’t had his booster yet but he’ll be part of that study, too.
Unfortunately, via Google, Tom soon found something new to worry about. Shortly after the last Johns Hopkins tests, hospitals began reporting large numbers of breakthrough cases, people who had been vaccinated but still contracted COVID-19. Tom wondered how many of these people had immunity issues.
It did not take him long to confirm his suspicions. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 40% to 44% of breakthrough cases that required hospitalization were people with immunity issues.
Although Johns Hopkins scientists advise immune-suppressed people to continue precautions (masks, distancing, etc.) after they’ve been vaccinated, Tom, being a germaphobe, had been wearing two masks long before the study and will continue indefinitely. He likes to joke that his masks are so tight his ears resemble those of Prince Charles and his nose seems to have moved a few millimeters closer to his mouth.
He was hoping to hug his grandchildren by now. No such luck.

Meaning they all committed insurrection because they signed an Oath of office to a foreign office.
