London's 2025 Week of Prayer!


The 2025 Week of Prayer is almost here and we would like to warmly invite you to join us. This will be a special time of united worship, intercession, and seeking God’s heart for our city.

We’ll begin the week with an Evening of Worship & Prayer on Sunday, May 4 at 6:30 PM at Gateway Church (890 Sarnia Road). This will be a powerful time of lifting up the name of Jesus together and setting the tone for the week ahead.



Evening prayer gatherings will continue throughout the week at 7 PM at the following host churches:

News that the Rainbow Faith and Freedom is compiling a list on non-compliant religious groups has become known just months after the Liberal government proposed legislation to strip pro-life and religious groups of their charitable status.


(LifeSiteNews) — A Liberal government-funded LGBT activist group is compiling a list of religious groups which don’t comply with radical gender ideology in an attempt to “transform” belief.


According to their manifesto, Rainbow Faith and Freedom, a government-funded LGBT activist group, is building a database to rate religious groups, including churches, synagogues, mosques and temples, on their adherence to the LGBT agenda.

The group’s “second pillar” seeks to “transform religious attitudes and practices related to sexuality” with the “third pillar “promising to “deal with the existence of religious-based 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination in Canada.”


“This will be accomplished by developing and publishing a rating system for measuring inclusion and welcome of 2SLGBTQ+ people in local faith communities,” it continues.

After the data is collected, the group plans to “publish the level of welcome and inclusion of Canadian faith communities to help people evaluate their options.”


While the group characterizes their radical plan as one of “welcome and inclusion,” their website effectively advocates for the eradication of non-compliant groups.

The activist group’s manifesto explains that they are seeking ways to “determine effective practices for reducing it [religious-based opposition to the LGBT agenda].”


The group’s efforts seem to completely ignore that opposition to LGBT ideology is an unchangeable part of infallible Catholic doctrine and the natural law, and as such, the program seems to be explicitly anti-Catholic in nature.

Essentially, every faithful Catholic church would be blacklisted by the group for adhering to Church teaching.


Alarmingly, Rainbow Faith and Freedom receives funding from the Liberal government. In 2022, the group received $400,000 for a 24-month project called “Ending Religious-based Discrimination in Ontario’s Faith Sector.”

 

Furthermore, in 2024, Liberals gave the group $494,310 to target religious senior care facilities.

Part of a larger plan to control religious groups in Canada

Many are warning that this is part of a larger plan to force religious groups to bow to the demands of the Liberal government.

 

News that the Rainbow Faith and Freedom is compiling a list on non-compliant religious groups has become known just months after the Liberal government proposed legislation to strip pro-life and religious groups of their charitable status.


The legislation would amend the Income Tax Act and Income Tax. Section 429 of the proposed legislation recommends the government “no longer provide charitable status to anti-abortion organizations.”


The bill, according to the finance department, would require “registered charities that provide services, advice, or information in respect of the prevention, preservation, or termination of pregnancy [i.e., destroying the unborn]” to disclose that they “do not provide specific services, including abortions or birth control.”


Similarly, Recommendation 430 aims to “amend the Income Tax Act to provide a definition of a charity which would remove the privileged status of ‘advancement of religion’ as a charitable purpose.”


Essentially, it would put thousands of churches and charitable groups at the mercy of the Liberal government as those who fail to adhere to the Liberal’s radical gender and anti-life policies could have their charitable status removed at any time.

As LifeSiteNews previously reported, The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) appealed to the Liberal government to rethink their plan.


“The Catholic charitable sector in Canada, anchored by dioceses and parishes across the country, includes a wide range of community services and ministries, including foodbanks, soup kitchens, refugee resettlement programs, climate and social justice programs, daycares and schools, hospitals, long-term care homes and palliative care centres, to name but a few examples,” the letter explained.


“These compassionate, purpose-driven, and accessible Catholic services are available to all Canadians, regardless of religious affiliation; these charities meet essential and sometimes complex social needs within communities nationwide,” it continued.

Raises to Counter Shrinking Dollars:

TORONTO - The number of public sector employees in Ontario earning more than $100,000 a year has grown to more than 377,000, with the top spot again going to the CEO of Ontario Power Generation.

The so-called Sunshine List, the disclosure of public sector workers who were paid six figures or more, grew by more than 70,000 names in 2024.



Treasury Board President Caroline Mulroney says nearly half of the growth on the list released Friday was driven by the school board sector.

Ken Hartwick, who ended his tenure as OPG CEO at the end of 2024, had a salary of more than $2 million that year — more than double the second-highest paid employee, also an OPG executive.

 

Most of the highest-paid employees on the list are OPG executives, hospital presidents and presidents or CEOs of large agencies such as Ontario Health, the Ontario Public Service Pension Board and the Independent Electricity System Operator.

Number four on the list with a nearly $884,000 salary is Phil Verster, who resigned in December as president and CEO of provincial transit agency Metrolinx.

 

The Ontario government has announced that the minimum wage will increase from $17.20 to $17.60 per hour, effective October 1.

With the new wage increase, workers making the general minimum wage and working 40 hours per week will see an annual pay increase of up to $835, said a provincial statement.



The wage adjustment follows the Ontario Consumer Price Index, which tracks inflation and represents changes in the cost of living for Ontario consumers. This annual wage adjustment, based on a 2.4 percent increase in the Ontario Consumer Price Index (CPI), will make Ontario’s minimum wage the second highest provincial rate in Canada, it said.

David Piccini, the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development, stated that the government is committed to supporting workers. “Ontario’s minimum wage remains one of the highest in the country. Now more than ever, workers and businesses need fair, balanced and predictable wages,” Piccini said.

 

Next will come subsidies for farmers and businesses to counter decreasing business.

This is REALLY GOOD News!

 Despite Massive Import Purchase Increase of 41.3% to Avoid Tariffs

April 30, 2025 

The absolute key to the first quarter GDP result is to remember that ‘imports‘ are a deduction in the economic equation of Gross Domestic Product.  The GDP is the valuation of all goods and services produced in the USA minus the value of imports.

 

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) releases the results of the first quarter GDP.  The overall economic growth seems low at –0.3% until you look at how U.S. companies responded in February and March to the tariff announcement.

 

Companies proactively purchased massive amounts of products in advance of the tariffs leading to an overall increase in imports of 41.3%.  Which results in a 5.3% deduction to GDP.  Every dollar of those imports is a deduction to the GDP equation, giving the false appearance of lower domestic production.



There was a massive surge in import goods purchases of 50.9% versus the prior period [Table 1, line 20].  That’s the largest periodic increase in import purchases I have ever seen.  Simultaneously, fixed asset investment in equipment for domestic production surged 22.5% [Table 1, line 11].

NOTE:

Put both of these metrics together and what you see are U.S. companies building consumer inventory from overseas (imports) while simultaneously preparing themselves to shift production into the USA.  The massive import purchases are a bridge to cover the time needed to shift the manufacturing from overseas to the USA.  This is exactly what we want to see.

 

To give more detail to the economic shift, we turn to Table 2 and look at the contribution impact to the GDP equation.




Here we can see that imports surged and led to a 5.03% deduction to the GDP equation.  Meaning if all things were equal without the Q1 surge in import purchases the GDP would have been +5.0%.

 

Meanwhile the impact of federal spending decreased 0.33% as President Trump makes the federal government smaller, and federal spending contribution less.  The federal government is getting smaller as a percentage of GDP.  Again, a very positive sign.

Investment in the USA is high.  MAGA working.

 

Imports are temporarily high, as companies prepare to purchase less from overseas.  MAGA working.

Following the increase in U.S. investment and following the increase in equipment purchasing; we will see an increase in jobs as a result of hiring Americans to use the equipment and create the products. 


If the workforce tightens up (illegal alien deportation continues) and unemployment lessens, then pressure is created on wage rates as companies compete for workers.  Main Street starts winning again.

Attach welfare support to employment efforts and the dependency model shrinks.

This is very good news all around.

If Russia is destined to invade Europe to save Christianity from Islamic attacks, it only makes sense for Russia to wait until NATO falls apart... and then target the revived Islamic Empire waiting to invade Europe again as they did in the Middle Ages.  Think about the millions of single young Muslim men who invaded Europe since 2015, six months after we published "Church - Coming of Age" predicting this and the civil wars which would result. 



No one expected the disintegration of the European Union.  Authors like Hal Lindsay told us the EU was supposed to be the mighty 10-Nation alliance of the Anti-Christ.  Well, we're beginning to see things differently now, eh?  We're seeing a resurgence of a 10 Nation Caliphate!  I'm talking about a revived Ottoman Empire which, prior to 1924, conquered the territory of the ancient Greek empire of Alexander the Great.  

 

We have nothing to fear from old enemies like Russia, China and Iran where Christianity has been growing at a startling rate.  And when we see that God's plan is coming true, we have nothing to fear from new enemies like a revived Caliphate which follows the mystic Shrine.
