THURSDAY 7-[02]-26
SPIRITUAL:
Thank you, Patrice:
Psalm 55:22 says, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.”
Worry itself may begin with real concerns, but when it controls us, it can become sinful. Jesus repeatedly told His followers not to live in anxious fear, and the apostles taught the same. Anxiety often reveals that we are trying to carry responsibilities God has already promised to handle. Instead of trusting Him, we act as though everything depends entirely on us. When we cling tightly to our burdens, we place ourselves where only God belongs.
We begin to believe we must foresee every problem, solve every outcome, and protect ourselves by our own strength. This lack of trust can slowly pull our hearts away from God. Fear tempts us to rely more on human wisdom than on His guidance. Like Israel in the Old Testament, we sometimes run to “broken cisterns” instead of the living fountain of God’s care and faithfulness. An anxious heart can also weaken our spiritual life. Worry makes us question God’s love and goodness.
Our prayers lose confidence, our peace disappears, and our witness to others becomes clouded by fear and self-protection. When trust in God grows weak, temptation often grows stronger because we start looking for ungodly ways to secure ourselves. But there is another way. God invites us to bring every burden to Him the moment it appears. Through simple faith, we can rest in His promises and remember that He truly cares for us. Trust keeps us near to Him and strengthens us against fear and temptation. Isaiah reminds us that God gives “perfect peace” to the person whose mind is fixed on Him.
Real peace is not found in controlling everything, but in confidently resting in the faithful care of God.

US Not Renewing US-Mexico-Canada Trade Pact
The framework for $2 trillion in annual trade is in limbo.
The United States has chosen not to renew its trade agreement with Canada and Mexico, senior administration officials confirmed on July 1.
“In accordance with the Agreement, the United States, Mexico, and Canada met virtually today to discuss the operation of the USMCA. The United States did not agree to renew the USMCA in its current form,” the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office said in a statement.
“As a result, the USMCA is not renewed.”
July 1 marked a pivotal date for the United States‑Mexico‑Canada Agreement. Under the pact’s six‑year joint review, negotiators must decide whether to extend the deal through 2042 or decline to do so—a move that would automatically reopen the agreement and trigger a fresh round of negotiations each year for the next decade.
As all three countries engage in negotiations, provisions inside the USMCA will remain in effect, the White House told reporters on a conference call.
“The USMCA did not operate to control the deficit as the president intended,” the senior administration official said. “So that’s really the heart of it, and part of it also extends to market access opportunities in Canada and Mexico.”
Related Stories

Six years after the agreement took effect, President Donald Trump signaled last month that he would abandon the USMCA, telling reporters he would “rather not have” the deal, negotiated during his first term, that replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
“I’m not looking to renew it,” Trump told reporters. “I made the deal, and the primary reason I made the deal is that NAFTA was the worst trade deal I’ve ever seen. And I made it better.”
He pointed out that the USMCA allows him to terminate the deal, whereas NAFTA did not.
At the time, the president noted that he would allow the trilateral trade pact to expire since the United States does not “need anything” from either Canada or Mexico.
“But they need everything that we have, and they have to treat us better,” Trump said, adding, “We don’t need their cars, we don’t need their lumber, we don’t need their energy, we don’t need anything.”
The USMCA—a replacement for the 26-year-old NAFTA—is the rulebook for approximately $2 trillion in annual trade between the North American partners, establishing provisions and safeguards for agriculture, automobiles, digital services, and labor across the three economies.
USMCA Concerns
In recent years, U.S. officials have scrutinized various parts of the agreement.
Washington has raised concerns with Canada over its dairy and supply management system, intellectual property protections, labor enforcement, and pharmaceutical pricing.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick called the USMCA a “bad deal.”
With Mexico, U.S. trade officials have flagged issues around automotive rules of origin, content requirements, and wage enforcement.
Mexico is imposing higher tariffs on non‑regional countries to protect its economy, thereby supporting the broader North American market.
But to prevent companies from simply shifting production to Mexico and then exporting goods duty‑free to the United States, the senior administration official says rules of origin must require a certain level of U.S. content.
Those content rules, combined with tariffs, are meant to keep the system balanced and avoid creating loopholes that undermine the intent of the trade deal.
“So, we have to have some kind of control, and the rule-of-origin requirement requiring U.S. content level is one way to get at that,” the official said. Lawmakers have urged the White House to take action to protect workers, arguing the USMCA has enabled businesses to relocate south of the border.
“With workers in the Mexican automotive and electronics manufacturing sectors still only earning $3 to $5 per hour and Mexican manufacturing worker pay lower than in China, U.S. companies continue to offshore at alarming rates and use the threat of offshoring to depress U.S. wages,” a group of senators wrote in a May 20 letter.
The widening bilateral trade imbalance between Mexico and the United States has also been a source of frustration for the current administration.
Last year’s U.S. goods trade deficit with Mexico was nearly $197 billion, up 15 percent from 2024. Conversely, the goods trade gap with Canada was $46.4 billion, down 25 percent.
But trade turbulence might not spell the end of the USMCA, says Scott Lincicome, the Cato Institute’s vice president of general economics.
“This will inject uncertainty into North American supply chains, likely hampering investment on the margins. But in terms of day-to-day trade among the three nations, it’ll be unnoticeable,” Lincicome wrote in a July 1 blog post.
However, failed trade talks could be worse for Canada’s “fragile” economic outlook, say strategists at State Street Investment Management.
Following back-to-back quarters of negative economic growth, the Canadian economy is trying to rebound. Early numbers have been mixed.
April’s GDP growth rate was 0.5 percent, driven by the natural resources and public administration sectors. The preliminary May growth estimate was a more anemic 0.1 percent.
“Canada is not facing a broad market break, but it is entering a phase where the winners and losers could diverge sharply,” they wrote in a June 30 research note.
“The macro story is one of fragility rather than collapse: growth has been downgraded, the economy has slipped into a shallow technical recession, and the recovery now depends heavily on whether the uncertainty around the [USMCA] clears or deepens.”
By comparison, the U.S. economy grew 2.1 percent in the first quarter and is poised for almost 3 percent growth in the second quarter.

The BONGINO REPORT:
HARRY REID’S REVENGE
Democrats walked right into this one. After the Supreme Court blocked President Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship, Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno announced he’ll reintroduce an “identical” version of a 1993 bill that would have done exactly that. The author of that bill? None other than Democrat icon Harry Reid.Reid’s office said at the time that his Immigration Stabilization Act sought to clarify that “a person born in the United States to an alien mother who is not a lawful resident is not a U.S. citizen.”“The Democrats of today are nothing like the Democrats of 1993,” Moreno said. “We have to recognize that these Democrats want to systematically destroy this country.”
DOJ’S BIRTH TOURISM CRACKDOWN
Someone tell the birth tourism industry to hold the champagne.Hours after the Supreme Court’s birthright citizenship ruling, the DOJ ordered federal prosecutors nationwide to prioritize cracking down on birth tourism.Fraud chief Colin McDonald explained that birth tourism schemes already break numerous federal laws.“Actors seeking to exploit loopholes to obtain automatic citizenship for their children pose a national security threat and will be brought to justice,” the DOJ warned.
VANCE’S SILVER LINING
Vice President Vance isn’t ready to concede the war. While condemning the Supreme Court’s birthright citizenship ruling as “preposterous,” Vance told Fox News that he still finds a “big silver lining” hiding in the loss.“A lot of legal experts expected this case to go the wrong direction by 7-2 or even 8-1,” Vance said.Instead, it came down to a single vote.“The fact that this case was a 5-4 decision effectively means that the concept of birthright citizenship, which is an absurdity to the 14th Amendment — that concept is hanging by a thread,” Vance said.
KAMALA GOES FULL COMMUNIST
Kamala Harris knows where the party is headed. As she quietly builds toward a 2028 run — and sits atop early Democrat primary polls — Harris has been courting the far-left, personally calling socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and holding closed-door meetings with pro-Palestinian activists. The call to Mamdani came just days after his handpicked communist candidates swept three New York congressional primaries.“She has to kowtow to these radicals to try to win,” RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said. “This is who the Democratic Party is today.”
TRUMP PUTS DEEP STATE ON NOTICE
The Deep State’s worst nightmare may come true soon.President Trump said Wednesday that he’s given acting intel chief Bill Pulte sweeping authority to declassify the government’s secrets, potentially exposing the Deep State’s activities.“Bill is there just for a fairly short period of time. But while he’s there, I said you can declassify whatever you want,” Trump revealed. The move follows reports of a White House task force preparing to release thousands of intelligence documents.

GLOBAL:
The TORONTO STAR:

Good morning. I hope you had a fantastic Canada Day. Bruce Arthur marked the occasion by saying that as a maturing footballing nation, Canada needs to adopt a “fight song.” Trying to identify one, Arkells lead singer Max Kerman told him he was hesitant to say “Oh, we should do ‘Summer of ’69’ or something.” Then, as if on cue, Mr. Summer of ’69 himself, Bryan Adams, released a new Canadian current events anthem: “Let me give you some advice, mister / you might have too much on your plate / go ’n’ load us up with tariffs / But we’ll never be the 51st state.” Maybe not a soccer song. But a fight song, for sure.
Here are six things to know on this Thursday morning:
1. The North American free trade agreement will not be renewed, but it remains in effect subject to annual reviews.
2. Mark Carney said Canada must rein in its “unsustainable” climate targets in the name of national unity.
3. The blistering heat wave is a sticky, sleepless nightmare for many without air conditioning, and it puts health at risk, public officials warn.
4. Toronto condos are now “more affordable” than Montreal’s. Houses not so much.
5. The World Cup is no Taylor Swift when it comes to its economic impact on Toronto.
6. Holy off-season sports week: The Raptors are bringing Kawhi back. The Leafs added six players in trade and free agency (including “goalie Bob”).
Before we get into it, I realize it’s July 2, but David Olive’s annual Canada Day business quiz will still test your knowledge of trade wars, vet bills, doughnut chains and the world’s “maple syrup capital.” He’s got 50 questions covering a lot of history and current events. I cannot believe I blew the very first one.
Pitter patter, let’s get at ’er.

Continental Trade
The countries will not extend the continental free trade pact for another 16-year term and instead will only secure the North American free trade market for the remaining decade while subjecting it to annual reviews. The decision at the behest of the U.S. was confirmed during a virtual meeting Wednesday. U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer’s office announced the outcome, saying the U.S. “did not agree to renew the USMCA in its current form.” So, what’s next?

World Cup 2026
The Portuguese have myriad missions this summer. Their captain is driven by personal statistics. The other 25 players know this may well be the greatest collection of talent Portugal’s ever brought to a major tournament. Their coach knows this is a last chance to prove he can actually get the best out of such a talented group. Yet, in lots of ways, Portugal’s first mission is a simple one: put an end to Croatia’s golden generation.
· The “Ronaldo effect”: Energy around Portugal’s superstar is electrifying Toronto ahead of the last match the city is hosting.
Team Canada: Here’s how coach Jesse Marsch is setting the tone for Canada’s World Cup dream run, according to Bruce Arthur.

WEATHER
By late afternoon Wednesday, Environment Canada recorded a temperature of nearly 36 C at Toronto Pearson Airport — making it one of the hottest Canada Days on record for the city. With humidity factored in, it felt closer to 48, the weather agency noted. “It’s not a one-day wonder. It’s not just as if you have one hot day and then you cool off,” senior climatologist David Phillips told the Star. It can get deadly.

Why Should Westerners Celebrate Canada Day?
Canada Day Was Never About All of Canada.
Each year on July 1st, Canadians take a day off to celebrate our country. Flags are waved, fireworks lit, and maple leaves adorn every nook and cranny.
Of course, for most of Canada’s history, this day did not exist.
Dominion Day, as it was previously known, commemorated the 1867 union of the United Canadas (Ontario and Quebec) with Nova Scotia and New Brunswick into a single dominion under the British Empire. Therefore, the appropriate name was chosen to commemorate the day’s historical events.
You may note, however, that the map of this historic celebration bears little resemblance to what Canada looks like today. In fact, it is missing the majority of the country we are currently familiar with.
How did a day that originally symbolized the union of just four of Canada’s ten provinces evolve into a celebration embraced by the entire nation?
Surprisingly, the answer has to do with separatism.

Birth-rates are going back in time

Steep and prolonged fertility decline means that peak birth levels for most of the world's countries took place in the past — often well in the past. And for a growing number of countries, birth totals today now approximate levels witnessed literally centuries ago — in some cases, even before the Industrial Era.

“We’re coming for your children!” chant sparks backlash at Toronto Pride parade
As Toronto’s annual Pride Parade drew thousands of participants, at least one attendee was heard chanting obscenities that sparked immediate backlash online.
“We’re coming for your children!” an unidentified man shouted. No attendees appeared to challenge him, according to video from the event.
“I believe it when they say they are coming for the children,” one X user said. “They have become so emboldened, they no longer try to hide their sick agenda!”
Another wrote, “It’s been obvious for years,” while a third said, “Coming for them? I think they’ve already got them.”

Is Trump all right?

Donald Trump interacted with an AI-powered ghost of Theodore Roosevelt, sparking immediate concern online over the surreal encounter.
The President stopped by the newly built Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota on Wednesday to honor the legacy of the 26th president.
During the visit, a virtual Roosevelt, brought to life through artificial intelligence (AI), offered a piece of advice to Trump: 'Do not lose courage, and remember that the nation comes first.'
Trump responded, 'I am grateful for those words. I want to say that it is an honor to be here with you today.'
The President later asked if the fake AI-Roosevelt believed building the Panama Canal his 'greatest achievements.'
'The canal stands as one of my proudest battles, no question. But greatness is a strange thing,' the AI-powered ghost told Trump.
'It isn't always the biggest or boldest job that matters most...I measure my greatest work by the lives improved, parks set aside, food and drugs made safe, the square deal given to all, not just to a few.'

The Trap Was Set, [DS] Took The Bait, Think Leverage, Trump Says The Magic Word, Declass
Streamed on: Jul 1, 6:00 pm EDT
Trump has been baiting the [DS] from the very beginning. Every time they take the bait they get trapped in their own narrative. Trump is gaining more and more leverage as each day passes. Trump has now Acting DNI to declass everything. He is now putting pressure on the [DS], they will start to make s----d moves. Midterms are the key.

Destroying the Illusion — Summer Setting the Stage for Trump’s Grand Conspiracy Case Against the Deep State
In the rapidly evolving landscape of American politics, a new legal narrative is beginning to take shape—one that suggests a massive, coordinated effort to dismantle what critics call the “Deep State.”
Central to this movement is the preparation of a high-stakes legal case dubbed the “Grand Conspiracy RICO case.” Allegedly spearheaded by elements of the Trump administration and fueled by a series of high-level declassifications, this case aims to connect the dots between a decade’s worth of political scandals.
The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act was originally designed to take down organized crime syndicates by allowing prosecutors to link various crimes committed by different people toward a common goal.
According to recent analyses—notably those discussed by Destroying the Illusion—the incoming administration is reportedly preparing to use the RICO statute to target what they describe as systemic corruption within the U.S. government and intelligence community.
By framing these events under RICO, investigators aim to prove that these were not isolated incidents, but rather a coordinated effort to influence American governance.
The success of such a massive legal undertaking requires a specific set of insiders with the authority to access classified information and the platform to share it with the public.
Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard is a central figure in this unfolding saga. During her tenure, she created the Director’s Initiative Group (DIG). This unit was specifically tasked with investigating the weaponization and potential corruption of the intelligence community.
While DIG was eventually dissolved, its members didn’t disappear; they were dispersed throughout various intelligence offices. This “dissemination” strategy allowed investigators to continue their work from within different sectors of the bureaucracy. Gabbard’s recent focus on sensitive topics—such as Ukrainian biolabs and gain-of-function experiments—signals a move toward making formerly “conspiratorial” topics a matter of public record.
Investigative journalist John Solomon has transitioned from his media role to act as a crucial link in the Trump administration’s declassification strategy. Appointed to access records at the National Archives, Solomon is working to bring classified truths into the public eye.
His role is vital because legal cases cannot be built on secret evidence. By declassifying documents related to the FBI, the 2020 election, and foreign influence, Solomon is laying the evidentiary groundwork for future prosecutions.
Working alongside Solomon are figures like FBI Director Kash Patel and Public Interest Declassification Board (PIDB) Chair Ezra Cohen-Watnick.
These individuals have long been identified by analysts as key players in the effort to reform the intelligence community. Their involvement suggests a high level of coordination between the executive branch and the oversight boards responsible for secrets.
A major component of this broader operation involves securing future elections. The video analysis highlights the failure of Congress to pass the SAVE Act, which was designed to protect election integrity.
In response, there is speculation that the Trump administration may utilize an Executive Order to secure future elections. The legal justification for such an order would likely stem from the very declassifications Solomon is currently overseeing—specifically those showing vulnerabilities or past irregularities in the election system.
The ultimate goal of these coordinated efforts appears to be the appointment of a Special Prosecutor. This individual would oversee the investigations across the various “pillars” of the alleged conspiracy—from the 2016 election through the 2019 pandemic era.
If the RICO framework holds, we could see a series of broad-spectrum prosecutions that target individuals across the political, intelligence, and media landscapes.
Whether you view these developments as a long-awaited “reckoning” or a complex political maneuver, one thing is clear: the groundwork is being laid for a legal battle of unprecedented proportions.
With Tulsi Gabbard, John Solomon, and Kash Patel at the helm of the information flow, the coming months may bring a level of transparency—and legal action—that the American political system has never seen before.
For a deeper dive into these developments, watch the full analysis from [Destroying the Illusion]. Stay tuned as we continue to track the declassifications and legal filings associated with the “Grand Conspiracy” RICO case.
