The Jeremiah of Our Time [Hal Lindsey]

I’m not waiting for the Antichrist. I’m waiting for Jesus Christ. And that is due, in part, to the ministry of Hal Lindsey. His books and television program carefully outlined Dispensational Theology, also called left behind theology—named after the famous book series. 

 

As a young adult, I found life confusing until someone handed me a copy of The Late Great Planet Earth.  After reading it in a day, followed by a trip to Israel, I could press on in life and enter the ministry. I would go on to devour dozens of books and follow solid Bible teachers who promoted eschatology or Bible prophecy.

 

Time Magazine called Hal Lindsey the Jeremiah of our time. His classic book sold 35 million copies, but other books and TV productions influenced millions more. I believe his two greatest contributions were his teaching that:

  • ·        Israel is the key to our past, present, and future. Most churches today marginalize this, focusing on church growth or are steeped in other theologies such as Amillennialism. Only Dispensationalism explains what the Bible teaches: The King is coming again, and Israel is the key to understanding this.

  • ·        As believers, we should be awaiting Jesus Christ, not the Antichrist. Millions are caught up in strange rapture-timing theologies that offer no blessed hope, which is taught in the Bible (Titus 2:13)! Jesus is coming at any minute. Only Dispensationalism explains the imminency of the Lord’s return with Israel as the centerpiece!

 

I brought Hal to the Twin Cities in 2004 and 2005. He told me at that time that it was his goal in the 1960s to write a book on the end times that was easy to understand. When his book appeared in 1970, the only books available were written by theologians and for theologians!

They were terrific, but the man on the street was lost.

 

Dwight Pentecost’s Things to Come was a classic back then, but it was 500 pages and way too scholarly. Without a seminary degree, readers were lost and frustrated.

 

Once Hal opened the door for end-time discussion, two- dozen writers followed him, including Chuck Missler, Tim LaHaye, Dave Hunt, Ron Rhodes, and many more. Publishers were eager to help readers understand how the last days played out. And how many of you were impacted by the Left Behind book series I referenced written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins?

 

These topics have been discussed now for 23 years on Understanding the Times Radio. I am so thankful for the scholars who went before me, helping us non-scholars to understand these key theological issues and make sense of what is often senseless! The rise of lawlessness, the rush to globalism, the decline of character as outlined in II Timothy, and so much more as the birth pangs have exploded in recent years.

 

There is a run-up to the Tribulation and we are in it, but who knew before we learned from such incredible men? There is prophetic stage-setting, which is so prominent here at the end of the Church Age!

 

Pastors, please, with whatever time we have left before a trumpet sounds, teach your congregation these truths. The urgency of the hour demands it.

Hal Lindsey was a flawed human being like all of us, and I could slip in details, particularly of the eccentric man I featured twenty years ago here in the Twin Cities. I’d rather not. I just want to say thank you to him for opening my eyes.

 

I had no idea I was here on assignment to also help others in this last days’ countdown to the rapture of believers! And to help get many into the ark of salvation because when all is said and done, Jesus really is coming!

Judicial Watch announced recently that it received 274 pages of records from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealing an extensive effort by government and non-government entities to monitor and censor social media posts on fraud during the 2020 election.


Judicial Watch announced recently that through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), after almost 19 years, the Department of Defense produced 62 pages of records out of hundreds of previously withheld documents regarding the U.S. intelligence program “Operation Able Danger.” The Defense Department identified hundreds of pages of responsive records but withheld them, claiming the overwhelming majority are still classified to this day.

January 6 Committee under fire 

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) organized the January 6 Committee to both put Donald Trump in jail and destroy any chance for a political comeback by Trump.

 

Pelosi handpicked Liz Cheney, a then-Wyoming Congresswoman, to serve as the Republican face of this committee to gaslight the American people into thinking this kangaroo court was a bipartisan endeavor.

But the attempt to weaponize January 6 against Donald Trump died a well-deserved death on November 5 when Donald Trump won re-election.

 

Congressman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) led an investigation into the January 6 witch hunt.

Loudermilk’s probe didn’t get nearly the attention Pelosi’s January 6th Committee hearings received, but George Washington Law Professor Jonathan Turley wrote that bombshell revelations from Loudermilk’s investigation exposed the committee as looking “less and less credible.”

 

Turley wrote that the committee was a partisan hatchet job that started from a predetermined conclusion and worked backward from there.

“The House Select Committee to investigate January 6 was comprised of Democrat-selected members who offered only one possible view: that January 6 was an attempt to overthrow our democracy by Trump and his supporters,” Turley stated.

 

Turley called out the committee for hiring TV producers, selectively editing evidence, such as cutting out Trump telling his supporters to “peacefully” protest, and refusing to allow any contrarian views into the process.


“The committee hired a former ABC News producer to create a slick, made-for-television production that barred opposing views and countervailing evidence. The members, including Republican Vice Chair Liz Cheney, played edited videotapes of Trump’s speech that removed the portion where Trump called on his supporters to protest “peacefully,” Turley continued.

 

Turley said the committee also ignored or admitted testimony that contradicted the committee’s preferred version of events.

One example of this is how the committee tried to suppress facts that proved Trump offered to deploy 10,000 National Guard troops prior to January 6.

“Yet evidence now shows that Trump personally suggested the deployment of 10,000 National Guard troops to prevent violence,” Turley stated.

 

The committee tried to hide testimony from the public that would have proved Trump was telling the truth when he said he offered to deploy the guard.

“For example, a transcript includes the testimony of former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato in January 2022 with Liz Cheney present. Ornato states that he clearly recalled Trump’s offer of 10,000 troops,” Turley added.

 

A key point the committee pushed in its reports was that Trump slow-walked calling in the Guard that day and watched the protest turn into a riot so he could watch the events unfold on TV.

But Turley noted that it was the Army that bore responsibility for the delay in the National Guard arriving at the Capitol.

 

“The evidence shows that, at 3:18 p.m., Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy ‘tells sheltering Members of Congress that he is not blocking the deployment of the National Guard and, while referencing the D.C. National Guard, shares that “We have the green light. We are moving.”’ However, the secretary of the Army’s own timeline indicates that the DCNG did not physically leave the Armory until 5 pm,” Turley continued.

 

The Ashli Babbitt killing 

Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt died that day when Capitol Hill Police Officer Michael Byrd gunned her down.

Investigators and the media quickly hailed Byrd as a hero and rejected any suggestions that Byrd wrongly used force in killing Babbitt.

 

Loudermilk’s report found that Byrd was a troubled officer with a history of disciplinary issues.

“The new report confirms that Byrd had prior disciplinary and training issues, including ‘a failed shotgun qualification test, a failed FBI background check for a weapon’s purchase, a 33-day suspension for a lost weapon and referral to Maryland state prosecutors for firing his gun at a stolen car fleeing his neighborhood,’” Turley explained.

Some of Byrd’s past troubles included questionable uses of his firearm.

 

“In one incident, detailed in a letter from Loudermilk, Byrd was suspected of lying about the circumstances under which he shot at the fleeing car,” Turley reported.

The facts about what happened on January 6 don’t support Liz Cheney and her fellow committee members’ story.

Americans understood this, which is why a CBS poll taken in 2022 found 76 percent of Americans thought it was a protest that went too far as opposed to an insurrection.

 

Democrats grasped at straws trying to make January 6 and Trump being a threat to democracy because Joe Biden and Kamala Harris had nothing good to say about the economy and the border – the issues that actually mattered to voters.

Trump Warns Hamas of "Hell to Pay" If Hostages Aren't Freed Before Inauguration:

Just as I begin to seriously consider the possibility of Trump playing 4D chess, he comes out with another … well:


It's no secret that President-elect Donald Trump is firmly in support of Israel, despite that after a year of Israeli war in Gaza the civilian death toll is in the multiple tens of thousands. Trump has stacked key national security positions with pro-Israel hawks.

This is why it comes as no surprise that he's already talking tough, threatening escalation if Hamas and Palestinian militants in Gaza don't immediately free the remaining Israeli hostages. 


"Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East - But it’s all talk, and no action!" Trump began a post on his Truth Social.

He is warning that there will be "hell to pay" if Hamas doesn't release the captives. "Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity," Trump continued in the statement.

He then warned in the stern statement 

Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!

Given broad swathes of Gaza have already been pulverized into dust, it's hard to see how the Strip could be hit any harder, also given US-supplied bunker buster bombs have been used against dense urban areas.


Note that Trump doesn’t say, ‘Hell to pay in Gaza.’ He says, “ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East,” which is a somewhat large region with a lot of people. During the campaign Trump claimed that he wants to get along with Iran, but we know that Trump’s Jewish sponsors have long propagated the lie that Iran is a terrorist state. Will Trump fulfill Netanyahu’s dream and attack Iran, claiming that is responsible for Hamas—despite years of Israeli funding of Hamas? Is Trump really planning to go after all Islamic terror groups? The most brutal of these groups—which target Christians—are actually heavily funded and trained by the US and Israel—as we’re seeing once again in Syria, with a resurrected version of ISIS.

 

That Trump should use such rhetoric—without once mentioning justice for Palestinians or condemning Jewish supremacist racism and state sponsored terrorism and genocide—is simply despicable. A significant part of his appeal was, in fact, the desire of many Americans for an end to foreign wars and justice in our foreign policy. And now he speaks of targeting the most vulnerable population on earth with HELL TO PAY—meaning, utterly disproportionate violence?

 

America had plenty of problems before 9/11, but the GWOT pretty much put paid to the America we thought we knew—MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? The Patriot Act and so forth, leading to our National Security surveillance state, our Forever Wars, and arguably enabled the Covid Hoax and other exercises in societal control.

 

For Trump to ask the American people to trust him—after running on a peace platform—is asking too much. What happens if his big stick bluff is called? Will he really attempt to unleash “all hell” in the name of America? Knowing as we do how he obtained his campaign funding, why should we be complicit in this? This is not MAGA.

Delaware Confiscates $100 Billion of Musk's Wealth:

A Delaware judge moved Monday to confirm its confiscation of Elon Musk's wealth that he created at Tesla — denying him a compensation package that would be worth over $100 billion in value today.

Musk has paid a heavy price for countering woke politics, making X a neutral platform, and backing Donald Trump for president.

 

Delaware Chancellor Judge Kathaleen McCormick on Monday ruled to confirm her January ruling that found Musk was not eligible for a 2018 compensation package then valued at $56 billion.

McCormick complained the Tesla package for Musk was the "biggest compensation plan ever — an unfathomable sum."

After McCormick had initially ruled that Musk had not gotten proper approval from Tesla shareholders, Musk filed suit.

 

Musk said he properly received board approval and later hit financial targets to earn the compensation, including benchmarks based on stock value, profitability, and revenue.

At one point, visionary Musk had driven the value of Tesla to close a trillion dollars during the compensation period. Today, Tesla holds a market cap of over $1.1 trillion.

 

After the judge's January 2024 ruling, Tesla went back to its shareholders to approve the Musk compensation plan.

In June, Tesla shareholders again approved the original $56 billion compensation overwhelmingly — with 77% of stock owners backing Musk and the package.

After the shareholder vote, Tesla went back to the Delaware court to seek its approval, only to find its compensation plan rebuffed again.

 

"Even if a stockholder vote could have a ratifying effect, it could not do so here," McCormick said in her opinion Monday.

"Were the court to condone the practice of allowing defeated parties to create new facts for the purpose of revising judgments, lawsuits would become interminable," she wrote.

 

McCormick saw little contradiction, however, in penalizing Musk for the wealth he created, while granting the lawyers who sued him on behalf of shareholders an incredible $345 million in attorney fees for their legal filings.

Musk was not happy by today's ruling and took to X writing, "Shareholders should control company votes, not judges."

 

Musk reposted other X posts critical of the ruling.

One repost stated: "Things to do in Delaware: 1) Leave."

Musk also reported fund manager Cathie Wood's X post where she called McCormick an "activist judge at its worst."

Wood continued: "No judge has the right to determine CEO compensation. Shareholders voted twice, overwhelming each time, to ratify @elonmusk's 2018 performance-based pay package."

 

Since the court's first ruling, Musk has been on the warpath with Delaware.

This year he moved both Tesla and SpaceX's incorporation from Delaware to Texas. He also moved Neuralink to Nevada.

Musk has also urged other companies to quit Delaware as well.

 

On X, Musk has stated bluntly, "Never incorporate your company in the state of Delaware."

The home state of President Joe Biden, Delaware has come under criticism for its close ties to the Biden family and its political agenda.

 

Last year, The Wall Street Journal published an article, co-authored by former Attorney General William Barr, lambasting Delaware for embracing far-left Environmental, Social, and Governance policies and attempting to push them on corporations.

 

And The Hill reported that major corporations are fleeing Delaware as a result of its highly politicized agenda.

Data suggests Delaware is seeing a drop-off of new incorporations. In 2022, the last year the state released data, Delaware saw a 6% fall in new incorporations.

Canada’s Ambassador Divulges More Details on Trump–Trudeau Border Talks:

‘The message that our border is so vastly different than the Mexican border was really understood,’ Canada’s ambassador to the United States said.


Canada’s ambassador to the United States, Kirsten Hillman, offered more details over the weekend about a dinner meeting between Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, following a tariff threat.

 

The prime minister’s meeting on Nov. 29 at the president-elect’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, took place after Trump warned that he would impose a 25 percent tariff on Canadian goods if the country failed to secure the U.S. northern border.

 

Hillman said that she sat next to the two leaders at the Mar-a-Lago dinner. She said that the Canadian leader had requested an in-person meeting with the president-elect, who invited him to dinner to discuss trade and border issues.

 

During the conversation, Trudeau and Canadian officials stressed that the U.S.–Canada border situation differs from that of the U.S.–Mexico border. Trump has also threatened to levy a 25 percent tariff on Mexico if it fails to curb drug trafficking and illegal immigration.

 

“The message that our border is so vastly different than the Mexican border was really understood,” Hillman said.

She said that there is essentially zero trafficking of fentanyl from Canada to the United States. She added that there are seizures, but that authorities say those are personal use seizures and not related to criminal trafficking. She said that 99.8 percent of the fentanyl seized by U.S. authorities in the United States comes via Mexico.

 

Hillman also said that less than 1 percent of people who illegally crossed into the United States in 2023 did so through Canada.

U.S. border authorities apprehended nearly 200,000 illegal and inadmissible immigrants at the U.S.–Canadian border in fiscal year 2024, according to federal data.


Hillman said that Canada is ready to make new investments in border security and added that there are plans for more helicopters, drones, and law enforcement personnel to secure the border.

The United States is by far the largest trading partner with Canada, meaning that tariffs could be devastating for the country’s economy. At more than 5,500 miles in length, the border separating the United States and Canada is the longest in the world.

 

“We are one-tenth the size of the United States so a balanced trade deal would mean per capita we are buying 10 times more from the U.S. than they are buying from us,“ Hillman said. ”If that’s his metric we will certainly engage on that.”

Describing the meeting, Hillman said Trudeau and Trump “get along well,” adding that the president-elect told the prime minister he is a fan of Canadian singer Celine Dion.

 

“I don’t think it could have been better, to be frank,“ she said. ”OK, I’ll take that back, I’ll change that. If he obviously said there would be no tariffs, that would have been better, but there was no realistic expectation of that.”

Trudeau told reporters after the meeting that he had an “excellent conversation” with Trump, although he did not provide further details.

 

Another top Canadian official said that Ottawa is willing to provide more border security resources following the two leaders’ meeting.

Canadian Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc, who also sat at the table with Trump and Trudeau, said that the two talked about new security measures such as drones and personnel.

 

“We’re going to look to procure, for example, additional drones, additional police helicopters, we’re going to redeploy personnel ... we believe that the border is secure,” he told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum spoke with Trump by phone last week and said that migrant caravans are not passing through Mexico on their way to the United States. Sheinbaum said that Mexico’s goal was not to close borders but to build bridges.

 

Aside from his warnings to Mexico and Canada, the president-elect also warned he would levy an additional 10 percent tariff against China if the Chinese communist regime fails to curb the production of fentanyl precursors that ultimately make their way into the United States via the southern border.

Canada's hospital rooms should not be available to be available to be abused by the global public. Canadians need to be prioritized, protected, and not be exposed to infectious diseases as a result of Trudeau's broken border.

President-Elect Donald Trump’s new cabinet is starting to take shape.

And the President has made a lot of fantastic decisions, along with a few notable misses like the closet Communist Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor Secretary.

 

However, the selection of Fox News host Pete Hegseth to serve as Secretary of Defense was a home-run decision.

President Trump has long been in favor of a peace through strength foreign policy, where America focused more on defending ourselves than on being the world’s police.

 

In announcing Hegseth as his pick for Secretary of Defense, President Trump said: 

Pete is tough, smart and a true believer in America First. With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice — Our Military will be Great Again, and America will Never Back Down. 

 

He is an Army Combat Veteran who did tours in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan. For his actions on the battlefield, he was decorated with two Bronze Stars, as well as a Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

 

This was a brilliant move by President Trump because he knows he can trust that Hegseth won’t needlessly put the lives of our men and women in uniform in jeopardy just to enrich the fat cats in the Military Industrial Complex.

Unfortunately, Hegseth is the kind of nominee that the Washington, D.C., Swamp can’t abide.

 

And so Deep State Democrats turned to the same playbook they’ve used to smear and destroy other notable conservatives.

Here’s how the game works.

First, a sexual allegation will miraculously appear in the press after a notable disruptor has been nominated by President Trump.

 

The Fake News Media and Swamp Senators like Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and John Fetterman (D-PA) spend the next several weeks trying to make the nominee look like an immoral, deranged, sex-crazed, struggle-cuddler.

The Trump nominee then either stays the course and is nominated, or folds and bows out.

So far, Democrats have a 50/50 record using this dirty tactic in recent years.

 

They failed to take out Kavanaugh but got Gaetz.

But that record may be getting worse as this 2017 police report released via a Freedom of Information Act request seriously casts doubt on the allegations made against Pete Hegseth.

 

According to the report, police had serious doubts over the accuser’s claim, with several eyewitness accounts and surveillance footage suggesting she (the accuser) and Hegseth had a consensual sexual encounter which she was trying to hide from her husband who was staying in the same hotel along with their children.

Former attorney and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly said, “This smells like utter bulls**t. All of this sounds much more consistent with a woman who had a booty call.”

 

While it’s still a long road to confirmation, this has to be welcome news to the Trump transition team.

And Chuck Schumer’s Senate clowns have got to be crying like babies because they’re actually going to have to work to take down Pete Hegseth.
