I met an Iranian believer in Israel!

Also, this past weekend, my wife and I were able to go on a retreat for believing soldier families. Paul Robbins, with Comfort My People, brought much encouragement and refreshment to all of us.

 

One of the speakers at the retreat was an Iranian who left Islam and found the Messiah of Israel. He shared how members of his family had been shot during the protests and had to go into hiding. He showed me pictures so gruesome that I will not be able to show them here. 

 

We need to continue to keep the situation in Iran in prayer.  

 

This prophecy over Elam (which is part of modern-day Iran) is very significant to today.

Governor General’s pay raises outsize the average Canadian’s salary


Governor General Mary Simon, who already earns five times the average Canadian salary, is set to automatically receive a $1,317 monthly pay raise, pushing her annual income close to $400,000, all paid for by taxpayers.

Documents obtained by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) from the Privy Council Office confirm that Gov. Gen. Mary Simon’s salary will increase to $398,800 this year. The PCO said the salary is “determined in accordance with the provisions of the Governor General’s Act.”

Unhinged Rep. Jasmine Crockett Tells the Supreme Court, “F* You” for Torpedoing Her Career After Ruling Clears Texas Redistricting

 

Rep. Jasmine Crockett lashed out at the United States Supreme Court after a major ruling that cleared the way for Texas Republicans to implement a new congressional map.


On December 4, 2025, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a 6–3 emergency order granting a request from Texas Republicans to stay a lower court injunction that had blocked the state’s newly enacted redistricting plan.

The decision allows Texas to proceed with the map for the 2026 midterm elections while litigation continues on the merits.


Under the new map, Republicans could net as many as five additional House seats, reflecting population shifts and voter trends that Democrats have long tried to suppress through court challenges and racial gerrymandering claims.

The redistricting plan consolidates Democrat-heavy urban districts and redraws lines that previously insulated left-wing incumbents.

Among those affected are Crockett and Democrat Rep. Al Green, whose districts were effectively dismantled.


Her once-safe seat is now a battleground, forcing her to abandon ship and launch a desperate bid for the U.S. Senate currently held by John Cornyn.

In a profanity-laced rant on video, Crockett spewed her bile.


She accused President Trump, Republican governors, and state legislatures of “rigging the system” before directing an explicit vulgarity at the nation’s highest court.

Crockett: “Obviously, Trump is still doing his bidding with the state houses and state centers and governors’ mansions to try to rig the system. Kudos to Indiana for saying f—k you. Kudos to California for saying we’re gonna fight back. Definitely kudos to the Trump justice who wrote the 160-page opinion denouncing what took place in Texas. And f—k you to the Supreme Court for what they did, as well as, we’ll see what happens in some other places.”

Savannah Guthrie's mother, Nancy, has been missing, and authorities are treating her case as a possible abduction. The search for her is urgent, with officials expressing concern about the time that has passed since her disappearance.

Police give troubling update

The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, is being investigated as a crime, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC News.


Nanos labelled Guthrie's Arizona home a "crime scene" as police believe the 84-year-old may have been taken against her will in the middle of the night. Guthrie was last seen Saturday night at home. Her family reported her missing around noon Sunday.

Initially, Nanos said Guthrie was harmed during the potential abduction, though he declined to provide further details. He later backtracked on his comments, telling the Arizona Daily Star he “misspoke or something.”


Guthrie had no cognitive issues prior to her disappearance. Nanos even described her as "sharp as a tack." However, she is physically limited and requires daily medication, and if she doesn't get it, Nanos says, "it could be fatal."


“This is just really sad for our community,” Nanos told NBC News. “Savannah is family to us. She’s a big part of this community. Her family is devastated, the entire family. And you know, this just doesn’t happen in Tucson.”


In coordination with southern Arizona police, the nonprofit organization 88-Crime announced Monday it's offering $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of those involved in Guthrie's disappearance.

The Whitewater Scandal:

What You Should Know

The Whitewater scandal was a real estate controversy that came to public attention in the 1990s. It involved former President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary, along with their associates. Whitewater was a land development venture that turned into a failed investment.1


After a series of lengthy investigations into the matter—famously led by Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr—the Clintons were never formally charged with a crime, although several of their Whitewater associates fared quite differently.

Whitewater Development Corporation

When Bill Clinton was elected as governor of Arkansas in 1978, he and Hillary (who was an associate at a law firm) began looking for ways to boost their income. James McDougal approached the Clintons to join the venture with him and his wife, Susan, and they agreed.34


The Clintons were already acquainted with the McDougals, Bill having met James as an intern at the office of Senator J. William Fulbright. Both couples agreed to purchase 230 acres of land in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas that would become the Whitewater Development Corporation.34


Under the deal, they would create individual lots to sell as vacation homes, attracting people who were interested in fishing and other outdoor activities. However, there were several problems that ruined their plans. The land wasn't very accessible, and there was a lasting impact from flooding in the area.45


There were also the pressures of the economic cycle, with interest rates on the rise. This meant potential investors and those interested in a second home could no longer afford to purchase a property. The real estate venture eventually failed, costing the Clintons a reported $46,000 in losses.6 


Bill Clinton was elected governor a short time later in 1978. James McDougal subsequently entered the banking industry in 1980, forming Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan two years later.78 


But it wasn't actually the investment venture between the Clintons and the McDougals that caused the controversy. In fact, it was a series of events that happened later that triggered the investigation.

The amount of money used to purchase the land at Whitewater, from which the Clintons and McDougals used a $180,000 joint loan.9


The Whitewater Investigation

In 1986, federal regulators investigated another real estate investment. This was a construction project called Castle Grande, which was backed by James McDougal. The investigation led to McDougal's resignation from Madison Guaranty and the eventual collapse of the bank.2


Its failure cost the government $73 million as it was insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).1011

Questions surrounding the Clintons' involvement in the Whitewater deal grew during President Clinton's first term in office, and an investigation into the legality of the Whitewater transactions was launched.12


Allegations surfaced during the investigation, which was led by special prosecutor Robert B. Fiske, that Clinton pressured David Hale (former president of a small business investment firm) into making a loan for the Whitewater deal.13



Other allegations came out, implying Clinton's gubernatorial campaign debts were paid off by Madison through McDougal. Fiske issued a grand jury subpoena to President Clinton and his wife for documents related to Madison Guaranty.13

The Clintons initially reported the records as missing. The documents were eventually found and cleared the Clintons of any wrongdoing.


The investigation continued, however, with Kenneth Starr at the helm and businessman David Hale as the star witness. Starr alleged that Bill Clinton, during his term as governor of Arkansas, pressured Hale to make an illegal $300,000 federally-backed loan to Susan McDougal.14


The allegation lost much of its credibility after Hale was convicted of numerous felonies.15

Outcome

All three inquiries into the Whitewater land deal yielded insufficient evidence to charge the Clintons with criminal conduct. However, several of their associates were convicted as a result of the investigations, including James McDougal, who was convicted of fraud and conspiracy charges in 1997 relating to loans made with Madison.8


The Starr investigation went beyond the Whitewater scandal to include several other controversies involving the Clintons, as well as the Lewinsky sex scandal, which led to his impeachment and charges of perjury and obstruction of justice following the 1996 presidential election.17


Clinton was later acquitted by the Senate of both charges.18


How Long Was the Whitewater Investigation?

Federal regulators began investigating another construction project called Castle Grande, which was backed by James McDougal, in 1986. Questions arose about the involvement of the Clintons in the Whitewater affair during Bill Clinton's first year as president in 1993. The investigation, which looked into the legality of the transactions and expanded beyond them to other incidents, lasted until 1997.


Were the Clintons Cleared of Wrongdoing in the Whitewater Scandal?

The Clintons were cleared of any wrongdoing in the Whitewater scandal after long and detailed investigations. The prosecution was not able to find any evidence to convict them of criminal conduct. Their business associates, however, were found guilty of fraud and other crimes.


Did Anyone Involved in the Whitewater Investigation Spend Time in Jail?

Several Clinton associates were convicted as a result of the Whitewater scandal. The Clintons' partners in the deal, James and Susan McDougal, each went to prison. James McDougal received a 3.5-year sentence for fraud. He died in a federal prison in 1998. Susan McDougal received an 18-month sentence on charges of contempt of court for refusing to answer questions about the Clintons' involvement in the affair.1920


The Bottom Line

The Whitewater scandal, involving Bill and Hillary Clinton, focused on a failed real estate investment that opened an investigation into whether or not the Clintons were involved in financial misconduct related to their associates, the McDougals.

Clintons reach deal with House Republicans to testify, likely avoiding contempt charges

Bill and Hillary Clinton will appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Feb. 27 and Feb. 26, respectively — meeting a noon deadline imposed by GOP leadership to avoid being held in contempt of Congress.


“Republicans and Democrats on the Oversight Committee have been clear: no one is above the law — and that includes the Clintons,” House Oversight Chair James Comer said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. “Once it became clear that the House of Representatives would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved and will appear for transcribed, filmed depositions this month.”


Their former president and secretary of state have long sought to negotiate the terms of their cooperation with the panel’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and argued the congressional subpoenas compelling their testimony were invalid and designed to humiliate or put them in jail.


They ultimately decided not to comply with the subpoenas and skipped out on their scheduled depositions last month, at which point the committee moved to hold both in contempt. The Clintons reversed course Monday night as the House was in the process of teeing up contempt resolutions for floor votes as soon as Wednesday, which could have resulted in their incarceration by the Trump Justice Department.


Bill and Hillary Clinton have said they had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, and neither has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with the late, disgraced financier. But Bill Clinton has long been linked to Epstein, and his image appeared in photos made public by the Justice Department.

I was listening to the radio today as I drove home, and a representative of some builders' association said Carney had no right to use pension funds because they must be invested in the best profit-making ventures.  He asked, "How can the government build homes cheaper than us?  We builders, have years of experience. 

 

 The only way they can do it is to waive all the taxes, fees and municipal charges, which add up to about 40% of the cost of a home."  And that's apparently what Ottawa plans on doing.  Municipalities are going along with it in order to get federal money invested in local housing. 

 

I wonder if it's for the benefit of all the immigrants who are coming in, because stats show half of them leave after five years because the cost of living is so high in Canada.  See item 4. in the attached Federal Budget critique for more federal deceptions about immigration.
