On Monday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) GA announced, that she was writing legislation to defund the special counsel investigation against former President Donald Trump. Greene tweeted-

“This morning, I’m writing an appropriations rider to DEFUND Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office and entire investigation,”

“Today, I’d like to announce that I’m writing an appropriations rider to defund Jack Smith, special counsel, his office and the investigation,” Greene said on the House floor. “This is a weaponized government attempt to take down the top political enemy and leading presidential candidate of the United States, Donald J. Trump.”

Trump, 76, is due to be arraigned in Miami, Fla., on Tuesday on 37 charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified White House documents.

In the 49-page indictment against Trump, Smith alleges that the former president improperly held onto sensitive documents upon leaving office, including “information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign counties; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to foreign attack.”

Tucker Carlson released another episode of his new show on Tuesday, claiming that the Washington establishment opposes former President Donald Trump because of his anti-war views.

Carlson dropped the third episode of his show on the same day that Trump pleaded not guilty to federal charges that have been brought against him.

The popular media personality claimed that comments Trump made during a 2016 Republican primary debate marked the exact point at which "permanent Washington" determined to throw Trump in prison. Carlson featured video footage of Trump saying the U.S. should never have been in Iraq, that America had "destabilized the Middle East," that the claims made about weapons of mass destruction had been a lie, "and they knew there were none."

Carlson said that Trump's statements regarding weapons of mass destruction being a lie "sealed his fate."

Carlson said that Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo, and Sen. Lindsey Graham had described Trump as a "visionary genius up until the moment he lost power." Carlson said "then they unsheathed their real agenda — as always the neocon war agenda. And they piled on with maximum force."

Trump, who is running for president again during the 2024 cycle, holds a decisive lead over the rest of the GOP presidential primary field.

Carlson, who claimed that President Joe Biden is "using law enforcement to lock up his chief rival," contended that the prosecution of Trump is "ideological" as well as "political."

He said that Trump is the one individual with a chance at winning the presidency "who dissents from Washington's longstanding pointless war agenda. And for that, that one fact, they're trying to take Trump out before you can vote for him." The new episode of Carlson's show comes after Axios previously reported that Fox News sent Carlson a cease-and-desist letter. Looking back, Netanyahu’s effective communication of his “peace through strength” message was probably the single most important political factor in the election. The constant wave of terror attacks in the months and years leading up to the election rattled the sense of security of millions of Israelis. Shimon Peres was viewed as weak in confronting the terror organizations. Netanyahu came off as more determined to fight them. Netanyahu won.

But a few years later, in 1999, Netanyahu lost his seat as Prime Minister to his former Army Commander, Ehud Barak. Barak had the impeccable Army record and Netanyahu was seen as weak in confronting Yasser Arafat and the PLO. He seemed to be more of a talker than a doer. Netanyahu lost, but he learned his lesson. He would never let himself be portrayed as weak in dealing with safety and security. Since then, Netanyahu has not really ever lost an election, although he once could not manage to cobble together a coalition.

What Netanyahu does here is – in perfect English – in order to stabilize his base in Israel and send a message to any future President in America that Israel is in charge of it’s domestic affairs. He is doing this as the right-wing parties in Israel now hold the key to his hold on power and he must give in to their pressure to stay in power. So, he has moved to the right as his country has. He is the consummate politician – less an ideologue, and more of a master of negotiation and political maneuvering.
