Once contained in a bottle, now covering the feet of Jesus—in a single remarkable act, the Creator and the created become one in fragrance. The ardor of Mary’s love poured out filled her home, but it is where Jesus carried it that commands our attention.Jesus likely bore that fragrance to the garden of Gethsemane as He prayed to the Father for strength.


When Judas betrayed the Son of God with a kiss, we wonder if the smell reminded the son of perdition that the Messiah, the anointed One, came to die. After all, the spikenard in Mary’s fragrant oil is one that graced royalty at their death.Jesus was arrested, bound, and subjected to acts of mockery and questioning. Stripped of clothing and beaten unto near death, Jesus was sweating, He was bleeding, and perhaps His blood moistened the fragrance upon His feet, intensifying its effect. 

Through the streets of Jerusalem, amid the shouting throngs, Jesus moved toward Golgotha, and still, the aroma lingered, emanating from His presence. Nailed to a Roman wooden cross, lifted high, and crucified for the sins of the world—was the scent of that fragrant oil strangely mixed with the atmosphere of violence and rejection?Once laid in the tomb, did its faint odor cling to those who placed Him there? Only those nearest could answer. But to all who would draw near to the Savior today, let the fragrance of the crucified Son of God scent the air. We dare not miss the aroma of His sacrifice.

His energy and determination puts the rest of us to shame, as I said to his mother, whom I met for the first time backstage.



I saw where his strength comes from – this tiny and wonderful woman whose love and loyalty he has consistently had behind him. My ‘why family matters so much’ conversation with her was the highlight of my day.

DRIVING THE DAY

FINAL COUNTDOWN: It’s the last day of campaigning in the most-expensive House primary in history. Cabinet secretaries are hitting the campaign trail, Trump is hammering away on Truth Social, long-suffering residents are besieged by a blitz of TV ads. For the next 48 hours, Kentucky's 4th Congressional District will be the center of the political world. Polls open at 6 a.m. tomorrow, and we’ll get the results early tomorrow night.


Massie’s moment of truth: As a seven-term member of Congress, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) has faced primary battles before, but nothing like this. More than $30 million has been lavished on this extraordinary campaign, as Trump marshals the full force of the MAGA machine to oust another one of his political enemies from the Republican conference.


Power test: After a near clean-sweep of the Indiana state senators who opposed him on redistricting, and then Saturday’s resounding defeat of Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) — who finished a distant third and didn’t even make the runoff — Trump is now looking to go three for three. And given recent results, the mood in the White House is buoyant. “Looking forward to another RINO going down!” one official gleefully texted Dasha last night.


The case for the defense: Entering the fray with 24 hours to go is Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who in an unprecedented move will fly into Kentucky today to campaign alongside Massie’s MAGA-endorsed challenger, former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein. The pair will be on stage at an America First Works event in Hebron at 1 p.m.


This is a big deal: Even by Hegseth’s standards, it's nakedly political — the Pentagon chief taking time out from an actual war to campaign for the ouster of a member of Congress. POLITICO’s Pentagon reporter Paul McLeary tells Playbook he's never seen a serving Defense secretary hit the campaign trail. But Hegseth's team rejects any suggestion of impropriety.


What they told us: “Secretary Hegseth is attending this event in his personal capacity,” chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell told Playbook in a statement. “No taxpayer dollars will be used to facilitate his visit. His participation has been thoroughly vetted and cleared by lawyers, including the Department of War Office of General Counsel, and does not violate the Hatch Act or any other applicable federal statute.” Hegseth’s critics likely won’t agree.


Truth bombs: Trump meanwhile is campaigning as only he can — via a torrent of messages on Truth Social. In the past 36 hours the president called Massie “a disloyal, ungracious, and sanctimonious FOOL,” “the worst and most unreliable Republican Congressman in the history of our Country,” and ”a totally ineffective LOSER.” Expect more today, including at Trump’s White House event on cutting health care costs this afternoon.

The bigger story in Kentucky is the sheer volume of cash that’s been spent — not just from MAGA-affiliated sources, but also from several pro-Israel groups. As POLITICO’s Lisa Kashinsky reports, AIPAC and other pro-Israel interest groups have poured more than $9 million into this race, sensing their chance to pick off one of the GOP’s most persistent critics of the Israeli government. “He’s the most anti-Israel Republican in the House,” United Democracy Project spokesperson Patrick Dorton said of Massie. “We think there’s an opportunity here.”


Judo throw: Massie is trying to use the force of his opponents’ attacks against them, telling ABC’s “This Week” that Hegseth’s eleventh-hour trip shows his opponents are “panicked” and “haven't been able to gain a lead.” Trump’s social media posts actually turn people off, Massie claimed, and trigger extra donations to his own campaign — while the millions rolling in from pro-Israel groups will only make this primary “a referendum on foreign policy.” He added: “You can tell that I’m ahead in the polls and they’re desperate.”


Really? The polls we’ve seen so far paint an opaque picture, with some showing Massie marginally ahead and others showing him behind. Trump’s recent record with endorsements certainly make Gallrein the favorite — as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said yesterday, “this is the party of Donald Trump.” Polymarket also fancies Gallrein's chances — for whatever that’s worth.


THE POLITICO POLL — Just one problem with these endorsements: Massie’s district has voted Republican for more than 20 years. But in swingier seats, Trump’s backing quickly switches from a net positive to a net negative in a general election campaign, new data from The POLITICO Poll suggests. “That’s because Trump’s endorsement moves the other side, too,” POLITICO’s Jessica Piper writes — and in great numbers. “Across all voters, a Trump endorsement was more detrimental than helpful,” she notes, “a warning sign for the president’s potential involvement as Republicans look to hold on to the House and Senate this fall.”

THE HOME STRETCH: This will be a crucial week for lawmakers trying to advance key policy priorities before Memorial Day and the advent of campaign season, POLITICO’s Kelsey Brugger reports. Republicans will try to move their immigration enforcement and college sports bills, plus potential action on housing, energy permitting and cryptocurrency taxation. There’s “genuine interest in making progress on long-stalled measures,” but there’s also Trump’s bombast — and Speaker Mike Johnson’s negotiations with the hard right — to contend with.

Behind the scenes in Washington, the pharma and insurance lobbies are working to steer lawmakers’ ire toward hospitals — painting them as the chief culprit for high costs, POLITICO’s Amanda Chu reports.

1. WAR REPORT: Though the ceasefire is holding, a U.S.-Iran deal to make peace and reopen the Strait of Hormuz looks distant, per Bloomberg. Trump lobbed another existential threat on Truth Social: “For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them.” Iranian news agencies indicated that Washington’s latest demands wouldn’t go anywhere. He’ll be back in the Situation Room tomorrow to consider strike options.

2. HEADS UP: The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has exposed multiple Americans, with at least one possibly symptomatic, Stat’s Helen Branswell reports. The U.S. is considering plans to get citizens out of the country quickly to be quarantined — though the separate hantavirus response at some of the same facilities may complicate things. Trump critics pinned the weekslong spread in part on USAID and CDC cuts.

3. WHAT HAVANA IS READING: Classified U.S. intelligence says Cuba considered using a stash of hundreds of military drones to attack Guantánamo Bay or even Florida, Axios’ Marc Caputo scooped. He notes this “could become a pretext for U.S. military action” as a Raúl Castro indictment looms Wednesday.

4. GERRYMANDERING DEEP DIVE: An analysis from NYT’s Nate Cohn and Eve Washington shows the weakening of the Voting Rights Act wouldn’t have to mean the end of Black and Hispanic political power in the South — if the U.S. stopped partisan gerrymandering. GLOBAL:

British Patriots Torch the Media’s ‘Far-Right’ Lie


May 16 was not fascism. It was Britain rejecting slow motion suicide...

London did not burn on May 16, 2026.

It woke the hell up.

Police say around 60,000 showed up. Fine. Call it whatever number makes you feel better. But anyone who watched the footage saw something massive. Streets packed wall to wall with Britons. Families. Veterans. Young people. Christians carrying wooden crosses. Iranian exiles flying the old Lion and Sun flag. Union Jacks everywhere. Pure defiance. These people did not come to play nice. They came to tell their ruling class that England will not quietly disappear.


This was no hate rally. The media lied through their teeth. Again.

The establishment wrote their script days in advance. Tommy Robinson equals far right extremist. The march equals danger. Keir Starmer rolled out thousands of police, helicopters, and every scare tactic in the book. They warned the public to brace for violence and racism. All of it designed to keep normal people away.


And let’s not forget what Starmer’s government did before the rally even began. Foreign speakers were banned from entering the country. Dissident voices were blocked at the border. Even members of Poland’s parliament and other European nationalist figures reportedly faced restrictions tied to attending the march. Britain claims to defend democracy and free expression while barring people over political views the establishment dislikes.

The people came anyway.


The press showed up hungry for blood. They prayed for riots, burning cars, and Nazi flags. What they got instead was fathers with kids on their shoulders, women waving flags with pride, and ordinary Brits chanting for their own country. The visuals were electric. Dense crowds. Soaring flags. Real energy. It looked and felt like a nation finally standing up.


The “far-right” caricature became harder to maintain once the crowd heard from Iranian exiles, female free speech activists, Black conservative voices, Christians carrying crosses, and patriotic Britons of every background. The press wanted a hate rally. What they got was a coalition the establishment cannot easily explain away.


These marchers were not attacking freedom. They were fighting to keep it.

Iranian dissidents stood with British patriots and spoke from brutal experience about political Islam. The wooden crosses were not hate. They were a reminder of the Christian roots that built Western liberty and dignity. The legacy media twisted every image they could. They always do.


The elites hate Tommy Robinson because he cannot be bought or polished. He comes from the streets. He speaks like it. He has taken arrests, lawfare, smears, and every dirty trick they threw at him. Still he stands. That raw courage scares them more than anything. He says out loud what millions of Brits are thinking. That is why they fear him.


Glenn Beck flew across the ocean knowing they might ban him for life. Good on him. He looked them dead in the eye and said if words get him banned then Britain is already lost. He told the crowd to Make England Great Again and dropped the truth they choke on: Islamist political ideology is incompatible with the freedoms Britain and America gave the world.


This fight is not political anymore.

It is civilizational.

This is not Churchill’s Britain. Churchill never apologized for England. He never criminalized patriotism. He never taught his people to fear their own flag. Today’s leaders monitor speech, smear their own citizens in advance, and treat a sea of Union Jacks like a threat.


Britain is not far right for wanting secure borders, safe streets, real assimilation, free speech, and leaders who put British people first. These are normal demands. Basic survival. Any healthy nation demands them. Only a sick one calls them extreme.

The panic on May 16 exposed them. They are not scared of a few extremists. They are terrified of normal people waking up and speaking together outside their control.

You cannot shame a nation into erasing itself forever. You cannot gaslight people while their communities transform at breathtaking speed without public consent. You cannot jail dissent and call it democracy.


May 16 was not fascism.

It was Britain rejecting slow motion suicide.

The media can scream extremist all day. The politicians can keep ignoring their own people. History is brutal to rulers who stop listening.

The voice that roared in London on May 16 is not going away.

It is growing louder.

Make England Great Again.

The fight for the West has only just begun.

PPS - More evidence that this was the best time to live in history.  It was the beginning of the Salvation Army, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, mutual aid societies like the Moose Lodge, Kinsmen, and many more.

Just weeks after Obama took office in 2009, the program called “The Hammer (HAMR)” was illegally shifted to a secret CIA facility in Fort Washington, MD, and turned against American citizens for domestic spying, violating the Constitution. Obama, Joe Biden, John Brennan, and James Clapper were directly involved in the illegal operation.

 

Scorecard software was later added, which is a vote-manipulation tool installed on the Hammer system to intercept election data and flip 3% of votes in real time during transmission from voting machines/tabulators. Just another form of election manipulation on top of many others. The system was deployed in the 2012 election and Democratic primaries, and possibly in the 2016 and 2020 election as well.

 

The most interesting part is that electronic vote manipulation goes back to the early 2000s. In October 2000, while working as a computer programmer at Yang Enterprises in Oviedo, Florida, computer programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis was directly approached by Tom Feeney, then Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives and the company’s lobbyist, along with the company’s corporate attorney to create a prototype program capable of rigging elections.

 

The software was designed to secretly flip votes 51-49 in favor of any chosen candidate or race without being noticed by election officials. Curtis states the program would be completely undetectable by county boards of elections unless someone examined the actual source code or had a verifiable paper trail/receipt to compare against the electronic totals.

 

When Curtis initially provided a report on how to detect and prevent such fraud, including mandatory paper trails and source code reviews, the company owner, Mrs. Yang, rejected it and instructed him to hide the fraud in the source code instead. She reportedly told him it was needed “to control the vote in South Florida.”

 

Curtis confirms he wrote the prototype as requested but left the company shortly afterward. He testified that such vote-rigging software is simple to create, hundreds of lines of code at most, and could be inserted into central tabulators or voting systems.

 

During his court testimony on this very program and the fraud in Ohio’s 2004 election, based on significant discrepancies between exit polling data and official results in the 2004 Ohio presidential election, plus the known availability of rigging software and lack of protective measures, Curtis stated under oath that the 2004 Ohio election was likely hacked as well.

 

This was just the early days of election rigging software and programs. Obama and his administration continued with their own endeavors as technology progressed, especially with Smartmatic and the use of wireless internet and remote access from anywhere in the world. This has been going on long enough, it’s time to end any and all of these election rigging practices and programs and bring back real election integrity. If we don’t fix our elections, we will lose this country, and it all starts with holding these people accountable.
