I am genuinely frightened and deeply distraught by the federal government's latest bill and its impact on YOUR Freedom of Speech and Expression.

Just last week, Justin Trudeau's (In)Justice Minister Arif Virani introduced Canada, and the world, to Bill C-63, the "Online Harms Act". 

 

He is calling for a chilling piece of legislation aiming to reduce online "hate" and "hate speech." 

The implications are far-reaching and frightening since this bill will not just force social media and big tech giants to merely terminate your social media account. 

It's social media jail incarnate, where you will pay the physical price for sharing the "wrong" opinions by going to ACTUAL JAIL... FOR LIFE!

 

 

This grim reality is something straight out of science fiction, or at the very least, an online censorship law directly imported from an authoritarian regime like China, Iran, or North Korea.

If the Trudeau Liberal government gets away with it, this will be the new normal in Canada.

 

Here's what authoritarian Justice Minister Virani's "DEATH of Free Speech" law proposes:

  • ·         Update the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)'s definition of "hate speech" and "hatred" to include ambiguous terms like "incites violent extremism or terrorism," "incites violence," and "foments hatred" (specifically section 318 and 319 of the CCC).

  • ·         Expand the federal bureaucracy by instituting a "Digital Safety Commission" (aka Canada's very own Ministry of Truth) and a "Digital Safety Ombudsperson" to receive complaints about "hate speech" and enforce speech "standards" on internet platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, Rumble, etc.).

  • ·         Grant even more power to the Canadian Human Rights Commission, allowing them to force content removal and impose fines up to $70,000, with a maximum of $20,000 to the offended anonymous complainants.The same commission that labeled Christmas as "racist" last December.

  • ·         Raise the maximum punishments for "hate propaganda" to life imprisonment.

  • ·         Enact "protective measures" enabling a judge to act on anonymous reports of hate crimes by requiring accused individuals to wear an electronic monitoring device, undergo house arrest, be banned from public spaces, or have a restraining order against them.

 

The definitions of "hate" and "hateful speech" are so vague that they could include almost anything: 

Critical opinions, political commentary, even memes. 

The type of content produced by people like Tucker Carlson, Ezra Levent,

The Babylon Bee, and CitizenGO.

It's unclear how these claims of "hate crimes" will be verified, opening the floodgates for anonymous complaints from anyone, anywhere in the world.

Does this sound familiar? It should.

This is eerily similar to the current legal case CitizenGO's own Eduard Proels is facing in Germany, who is facing charges for sharing a meme on Facebook. 

 

Or Päivi Räsänen, a Finish MP, who is still being persecuted by a vengeful prosecutor for sharing her Christian beliefs online despite already winning her case in court, not once but twice.

If this bill passes, we could see individuals like Dr. Mark Trozzi, Jordan Peterson, Pastor Artur Pawlowski, and Josh Alexander jailed FOR LIFE for sharing their opinions that go against the radical globalist elite's favorite politically "correct" narratives.

 

Pro-lifers, pro-family advocates, and pro-freedom supporters could also face similar fates, like the countless freedom convoy supporters who suddenly had their bank accounts unconstitutionally FROZEN for showing their support behind our brave truckers.

The passage of Bill C-63, "DEATH of Free Speech," would bring the Trudeau Liberals' vision of turning Canada into a so-called "basic dictatorship" one step closer to becoming an actual-livable reality.

But in this dark time, there is still a glimmer of hope.

 

We've seen the massive public backlash against The Liberal government's failed attempts to pass similar censorship bills over the last several years.

This is why I am asking you to act now. If you don't, you will lose the ability to openly discuss and debate important issues, first online and then in person.

What is it that TRUMP is after?

Toward the end of just almost any presidential primary season we always get the reminder—a lot can happen/change between now and November. Of course, that’s always true, whether much changes or not, but in 2024 America it may be more true than most years. There’s the borders, crime, the economy, and the war factor—which could impact the economy majorly. While polls tell us that few Americans are thinking about our war on Russia, the war factor could be the biggest factor in the end. If I were a betting guy, I’d bet that Ukraine will come to a head by summer and that there will be a major blowup in the Middle East.

 

Regarding the war on Russia, the next administration will have a big problem on its hands. The sensible thing to do is to come to terms with Russia. That means, come up with a new security architecture. However, if we’re to believe the Russian intel services, that’s not what the Anglosphere Deep State has in mind. Their plan is to continue the war on Russia (via Andrei Martyanov):

Presumably, if a President Trump tries to rein in the Deep State he’ll get impeached again. Either that or a real ding dong battle, the Deep State against the American constitutional order. So far Trump has confined himself mostly to what has become a standard riposte—We wouldn’t be in the fix we are in if I were still president. Appeals to the past or to make believe will only get him so far, especially if matters on the ground change materially. If Russia brings the war in Ukraine to something like a decisive end game, both Dems and GOPers will have to come up with a plan.

 

The same goes for the Middle East, which actually could turn out to be more dangerous for the US during the campaign. The betting is that an Israeli attack on Lebanon would precipitate a regional war, and that could lead to the closure of the Persian Gulf as well as the Red Sea—for starters. It would only get worse from there. That eventuality, rather than anything currently happening in Europe or East Asia, might be the most likely trigger for direct war with Russia, China, and various other players.

Right now, Trump is preparing for these contingencies by—at least arguably—embracing the genocide of the Palestinian people:


PALM BEACH, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump declared Tuesday that Israel must “finish the problem” in its war against Hamas, his most definitive position on the conflict since the terror group killed 1,200 Israelis and took more than 200 hostages on Oct. 7.

 

“You’ve got to finish the problem,” Trump said on Fox News on Tuesday when asked about the war. “You had a horrible invasion that took place that would have never happened if I was president.”


When asked on the program whether he supported a cease-fire in Gaza, Trump demurred, avoiding an explicit position on Israel’s military effort that has now also left ... people dead in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The likely 2024 Republican nominee has not provided his own position on U.S. or Israel's strategy throughout the five months of the war.

 

Though a stalwart defender of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration during his presidency, Trump has also attempted to strike an anti-war posture on the campaign trail in the last year, attempting to contrast himself from President Joe Biden and his remaining Republican rival, Nikki Haley.

“Frankly, they got soft,” Trump said on Tuesday about the Biden administration, claiming that the aggression by foreign adversaries would not have happened if he were still president.

 

“That should never have happened. Likewise, Russia would never have attacked Ukraine," he said.

While Tuesday’s comments offered the strongest signal yet from Trump of what direction Israel should take, he has yet to offer specific thoughts or proposals on how much the U.S. should be involved financially, how hostage negotiations should be handled, the plight of Gaza’s civilian population or whether leaders should pursue a one- or two-state solution to the conflict.

 

Right. As “definitive positions” go, that’s not terribly definitive. Nevertheless, it looks like a nod in support of genocide. There are several ways to look at this from a purely political standpoint. Trump’s base—older, more traditional GOPers and Christians—tend to be strongly pro-Israel, for now. Is he attempting to shore up a base that’s already as shored up as a base can be, judging from the polls? Is this a calculation that the Middle Eastern vote would never swing his way decisively—not enough to matter?

 

Most obviously, his words could be taken as a sort of dog whistle to Jewish voters who support the Zionist entity. But, in reality, would that be likely to swing any state with a significant Jewish population? California? New York? Illinois? I doubt it. Perhaps he’s going for the Jewish money, rather than Jewish votes. Color me skeptical that Trump supporting genocide against Palestinians will sway the big Jewish money in his direction to the degree that it would define the election outcome—those same people have too many other differences with Trump and, especially, with Trump’s presumptive base: Ragin’ Rural Whites/Goyishe Kops. Maybe the real bottom line is that this “definitive position” is simply a sort of place marker for the time being, a way of saying, once again: I told you so; it never woulda happened … while awaiting events. Playing it safe.

 

It’s all a disappointing switch from the brash Trump of 2016. Especially given that he’s also playing it safe in another major area that’s begging to be addressed: The Covid Regime. Trump simply doesn’t mention it, perhaps because—despite the Zhou regime’s undoubted excesses—Trump himself isn’t really in a position to say, Hey, never would happened if, er, … There is such a thing as playing things too safe.

 

Perhaps now is a good time to express my own view in a general way. I regard most electoral choices as choosing between two less than perfect alternatives. Depending on the choices, it can be a choice between the lesser of two evils (think: Obama/Romney/McCain, just for example)--on the assumption that the complications of our constitutional system make such a choice viable or justifiable. For that reason I’m generally opposed to a pure protest vote—one that would be too statistically insignificant to sway politics. That means I’m also, generally, opposed to voting for third parties—unless the third party in question might have a serious effect on later policies. For now, that leaves me with Trump v. Zhou. Trump, in his one term, showed me enough that I consider this choice a no-brainer. Like you readers, I’ll just have to watch how things develop.

Victoria Nuland, third-highest ranking US diplomat and critic of Russia's war in Ukraine, retiring

 

ASHINGTON (AP) — Victoria Nuland, the third-highest ranking U.S. diplomat and frequent target of criticism for her hawkish views on Russia and its actions in Ukraine, will retire and leave her post this month, the State Department said Tuesday.

Nuland, a career foreign service officer who served as Assistant Secretary of State for Europe during the Obama administration but retired after Donald Trump was elected president, returned to government as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs in the Biden administration.

 

She had been a candidate to succeed Wendy Sherman as deputy Secretary of State and had served as acting deputy since Sherman’s retirement seven months ago but lost an internal administration personnel battle when President Joe Biden nominated Kurt Campbell to the no. 2 spot. Campbell took office last month.

Nuland had served at the U.S. embassy in Moscow in the tumultuous 1990s and was in the city during the attempted coup against former Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

 

She then became U.S. ambassador to NATO before being tapped to serve as the State Department spokeswoman under former Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton during President Barack Obama’s first term.

As the department spokeswoman and later as assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Nuland drew the ire of many Russian leaders for her outspoken defense of Ukraine, particularly after Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula in 2014.


Former Secretary of State John Kerry has recalled on numerous times that when Nuland left the spokeswoman’s job during his tenure to become the top diplomat for Europe, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov congratulated him for “getting rid of that woman.” Kerry said he replied to Lavrov that he didn’t get rid of her, “I promoted her.”

Current Secretary of State Antony Blinken praised Nuland for her three and a half decades of public service and thanked her for her role in shaping U.S. policy around the world under six presidents and 10 secretaries of state.

“But it’s Toria’s leadership on Ukraine that diplomats and students of foreign policy will study for years to come,” Blinken said in a statement.

“Her efforts have been indispensable to confronting Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, marshaling a global coalition to ensure his strategic failure, and helping Ukraine work toward the day when it will be able to stand strongly on its own feet – democratically, economically, and militarily.”

The Russian foreign ministry immediately seized on the announcement, calling it an admission of failed U.S. policy toward Russia.

“They won’t tell you the reason," spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said. "But it is simple - the failure of the anti-Russian course of the Biden administration. Russophobia, proposed by Victoria Nuland as the main foreign policy concept of the United States, is dragging the Democrats to the bottom like a stone.”

Nuland will be replaced temporarily as under secretary by another career diplomat, John Bass, a former ambassador to Afghanistan who oversaw the U.S. withdrawal from the country. He is currently the undersecretary of state for management.

U.S. officials said the favorite to succeed Nuland in a permanent capacity is the current U.S. ambassador to NATO, Julianne Smith, a one-time Pentagon official who also served as then-Vice President Biden's deputy national security adviser.

DC APPEALS COURT OVERTURNS 100 J6 SENTENCES, SAYS THEY HAVE BEEN OVER-SENTENCED!

Judges may have improperly applied federal sentencing guidelines to more than 100 people convicted of participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol, a federal court ruled Friday. 


A three-judge panel of the DC Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the Justice Department’s argument that convicted rioters merited lengthier prison sentences for interfering in the “administration of justice” when they stormed the Capitol to disrupt the certification of Joe Biden’s 2020 election win. 

“[T]he phrase ‘administration of justice’ does not encompass Congress’s role in the electoral certification process,” Judge Patricia Millett wrote in the court’s unanimous ruling. 

“[T]ext, context, and commentary show that ‘administration of justice’ refers to judicial, quasi-judicial, and adjunct investigative proceedings, but does not extend to the unique congressional function of certifying electoral college votes,” she added.
