— Here's How You Can Stand With Us
At 8:00 AM on Saturday morning, just as we were waking up and preparing to make coffee, sirens pierced the air across all of Israel.
In an instant, the questions we had been asking for nearly two months were answered:
“Will there be a war?”
“When will it begin?”
My wife and I gathered our three children, my father-in-law, Dean Bye, and our dog, and we rushed into our secure room. All of our plans changed at that moment!
Israel and the United States launched coordinated strikes against the Islamic regime in Iran, targeting their leadership, defense systems, IRGC facilities, ballistic missiles, and elements of the nuclear program that still must be dismantled.
Iran retaliated by striking Qatar, Kuwait, Dubai, and of course Israel. For hours, we moved in and out of bomb shelters.
Families in the center lost homes. Tragically, several lives were lost, and many others were injured.
And yet, in the middle of the chaos our faith has been steady.
We have a group from the Netherlands with us at the Galilee House and my father in law has a small group from the USA. Both groups were supposed to depart this week. Despite the fact that they have been caught up in the chaos of this war, they have been like warriors!
When our trust is in God, we are unmovable.
The timing being so close to Purim, is remarkable. Just as in the days of Esther, when destruction was planned against the Jewish people, a reversal is unfolding before our eyes:
“In the month of Adar… on the very day the enemies of the Jews hoped to overpower them — the reverse occurred.” (Esther 9:1)
The Ayatollah Khameni who is just like Haman, just experienced the same fate as Haman yesterday! The man who has supported terror groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis has met his end!
We are witnessing history in real time. But this is not over.
Like Esther, I encourage you to intercede on behalf of Israel in this critical hour.
Here are some prayer points:
* That systems that exalt terror would be dismantled
* Protection over U.S. and Israeli forces
* Freedom for the Iranian people
* Wisdom for leaders and decision-makers
* The future of Iran with a righteous leadership
* Protection for the reservist soldiers called up, including myself

A Citizen Examines the London Public Library’s Commitment to True Diversity of Thought

Freedom to Read Week — February 23 through March 1 — is meant to honour a simple but profound principle: that every citizen should have access to all ideas, including those the powerful would rather silence.
This year, the London Public Library (LPL) celebrated the occasion with warm words and photogenic gestures. Staff and patrons posed with stacks of “banned” books beneath slogans like “Caught Reading Banned Books.” Their highlighted titles — The Handmaid’s Tale, The Color Purple, To Kill a Mockingbird, Things Fall Apart, and others — are staples of American debate over race, gender, and politics.
The library’s caption summed it up neatly:
“Reading widely means making room for perspectives we may not always agree with... Access to these stories matters, and reading widely helps us understand each other, our communities, and the world around us.”
That message is admirable. Yet when I tested whether LPL’s shelves actually reflect that principle, I found something troubling: the promise of “diverse perspectives” evaporates when those perspectives challenge today’s orthodoxies.
A Personal Experiment in “Reading Widely”
Over the past few years, I’ve built my own home library — a mix of Canadian, local, and international authors who dare to question mainstream narratives. Curious, I searched every one of those titles in LPL’s online catalogue.
This isn’t a minor oversight. Many of these authors are Ontario writers — some even local — who should fall squarely within the scope of LPL’s Contemporary London Authors Collection policy, which explicitly supports area creators.
Yet these works are nowhere to be found.
Missing Voices, Close to Home
Here are just a few of the titles absent from LPL’s catalogue:
· My Choice and Our Last Innocent Moment — Dr. Julie Ponesse, longtime professor of ethics at Huron University College.
· Thank You, Truckers! — Donna Laframboise, veteran Canadian journalist documenting the Freedom Convoy movement.
· Closing the Gates and Life in Medicine: Dreams, Political Extremes, and Schemes — Dr. Emad M. Guirguis, southern Ontario physician and writer.
· Grave Error: How the Media Misled Us (and the Truth About Residential Schools) — edited by historians C.P. Champion and Tom Flanagan.
· The Battle for the Soul of Canada — Grant S. Abraham, exploring national identity and governance.
Not exactly “banned books” — yet clearly unwelcome on library shelves.
Add to this absent list several major works that question prevailing narratives on science, health, and policy — Dissolving Illusions (Suzanne Humphries and Roman Bystrianyk), The Real Anthony Fauci (Robert F. Kennedy Jr.), The War on Ivermectin (Pierre Kory), Irreversible Damage (Abigail Shrier), When Kids Say They’re Trans (Stella O’Malley et al.), and more.
Other glaring omissions include two widely available, nationally relevant books by London author and Member of Parliament Andrew Lawton: The Freedom Convoy:
The Inside Story of Three Weeks That Shook the World (2022) and Pierre Poilievre: A Conservative Leadership Story (2023). Both were published by established Canadian publishers, both sold nationally, and both document major moments in recent Canadian political history — yet neither title appears anywhere in London Public Library’s holdings, print or digital.
For a library that publicly claims to champion “local authors” and “diverse viewpoints,” their absence — along with those of law‑abiding Ontario writers listed below — makes the institution’s stated mission ring hollow.
The Double Standard
When books are challenged elsewhere for being too progressive, LPL proudly displays them as symbols of intellectual courage.But when books are controversial for challenging progressive orthodoxies, they quietly vanish from circulation.
One cannot champion “freedom to read” while simultaneously quarantining dissent.That isn’t openness — it’s curation masquerading as courage.
Public libraries operate within budget constraints, yes. But words like “reading widely,” “understanding one another,” and “diverse perspectives” ring hollow when applied only in one ideological direction.
The False Premise: Censorship in Canada is a One‑Way Street
Despite the rhetoric, Canada has no epidemic of “banned books.”What we do have is a subtler and more insidious pattern—institutional suppression that runs almost entirely in one direction. The titles ever labelled “problematic” or quietly excluded from Canadian public libraries are overwhelmingly those that question progressive or government‑approved narratives.
When controversies arise, they nearly always target conservative, classical‑liberal, or heterodox works: books defending free speech, faith, traditional family structure, biological reality, or medical transparency.
Case in point: Grave Error: How the Media Misled Us (and the Truth About Residential Schools)—a meticulously referenced Canadian history volume that mainstream libraries refuse even to stock. Not because it breaks laws, but because it breaks consensus.
Meanwhile, libraries congratulate themselves for displaying decades‑old American novels under “Freedom to Read” signs, pretending they are resisting censorship when, in truth, they are enforcing it—selectively, bureaucratically, and almost always from the left toward the right.
A Call for Integrity and Inclusion
If the London Public Library truly believes in intellectual freedom, it should apply its principles consistently. That means making space not just for comfortable diversity — but for the inconvenient kind too.
Citizens can request new titles through LPL’s Suggest-a-Title form or by emailing info@lpl.ca. If enough voices speak together, perhaps genuine pluralism can replace institutional selectivity.
Freedom to read means every idea deserves the chance to be read — even when it unsettles authority. That’s where democracy begins.

Why This Matters So Much

These omissions are not clerical accidents; they illustrate a systemic bias in collections policy: mainstream‑published conservative or independent voices quietly filtered out while progressive narratives receive automatic placement.
This isn’t about politics—it’s about viewpoint neutrality and the duty of public institutions to model intellectual honesty.
When a city library excludes its own MP’s best‑selling works but celebrates imported American controversies, it sends one unmistakable message:“Freedom to Read” applies only to ideas we already agree with.
Libraries were once sanctuaries for curiosity — repositories of knowledge unconstrained by political comfort.
When “Freedom to Read Week” becomes a marketing slogan instead of a lived principle, citizens have both the right and the duty to notice.
If these books truly pose no threat, then stock them.If they’re too dangerous to be read — then Freedom to Read Week is theatre.

For many years, you have asked for America’s help, but you never got it. No president was willing to do what I am willing to do tonight. Now you have a president who is giving you what you want, so let’s see how you respond.
America is backing you with overwhelming strength and devastating force. Now is the time to seize control of your destiny and to unleash the prosperous and glorious future that is close within your reach. This is the moment for action.

Analysis:
Government buildings in Tehran bombed.
The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) struck a meeting of Iran’s senior political and security leadership in Tehran. It was the room where Iran’s government was gathered - and eliminated.
The IDF provided new details on its simultaneous airstrikes this morning targeting senior Iranian political and military officials at several locations in Tehran.
The IDF developed the plan over months, and it included a major intelligence effort led by the Intelligence Directorate to “identify an operational opportunity at the moment when senior regime officials would convene.”
The IDF says a decision was made to carry out the strike in the morning, rather than at night, despite Iranian preparedness. The IDF says it succeeded in “achieving tactical surprise for the second time,” referring to its opening strikes during June 2025’s 12-day war.
Intelligence officers spend thousands of hours of work putting together targets for the operation, with the IDF saying that it has “increased the number of targets by hundreds of percent, so that Israel is prepared to strike in Iran as long as required.”
The target research was conducted “in parallel with precise location tracking of Iranian commanders and senior leadership.”
According to the IDF, a “significant factor“ in the United States’ decision to join Israel in the operation against Iran is confidence in the IDF’s “intelligence and operational capabilities,” along with achievements in June’s war.
Israeli officials (via Times of Israel, N12, Axios) assess these deaths occurred in today’s joint US-Israel strikes: Pakpour (IRGC head), Shamkhani (Khamenei’s advisor; spelling variant), Nasirzadeh (Defense Minister), and military intel chief (likely Asaadi).
Iran attacked numerous countries in retaliation. The IRGC is not the same as the Iranian Military, called the Artesh. There is an intense rivalry between the two. The IRGC was set up to “guard” the Islamic clerics and ensure their revolution was to endure. It was set up alongside the secular Iranian military called the Artesh.
Given this divide, it is important to question whether the retaliatory attacks were carried out by the Iranian military in an attempt to bring in other nations to ensure the overthrow the Islamic Regime. The countries attacked as of today:
1. Israel — Northern Israel (building hit); additional barrages toward Tel Aviv/Jerusalem areas with interceptions.
2. United Arab Emirates — Abu Dhabi (Al Dhafra Air Base area; one civilian killed by debris) and Dubai vicinity.
3. Bahrain — Manama (US Navy 5th Fleet headquarters).
4. Qatar — Doha area (Al Udeid Air Base).
5. Kuwait — Kuwait City area (Ali Al Salem Air Base).
6. Jordan — Amman area (US assets; intercepted).
7. Syria — Suwayda (Sweida; residential building hit, four civilians killed).
8. Saudi Arabia — Riyadh area (reported targeting).
9. Oman and Iraq were not targeted in confirmed strikes.
If this was an intended attack against neighboring countries, then this was a massive miscalculation.
One month ago Saudi Arabia was Iran’s diplomatic shield in the Gulf. The kingdom that brokered the 2023 rapprochement with Tehran. The country that told Washington it would not participate. The monarchy that built its entire post-Vision 2030 foreign policy on balancing between Washington and Tehran without choosing. Iran forced the choice this morning by firing missiles at Riyadh.
The Saudi capital was attacked. The kingdom that spent three years rebuilding ties with Tehran just had Iranian ballistic missiles in its airspace. The country that told America it would stay neutral just watched its sovereignty violated by the same regime it was trying to protect from American strikes.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was quick to respond:
The Kingdom “condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian aggression.” It calls the missile strikes a “flagrant violation of the sovereignty” of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. It pledges “full solidarity” with every attacked nation. And then the line that changes everything: Saudi Arabia is “placing all its capabilities to support them in all measures they take.”
All its capabilities. All measures.
That is not diplomatic language. That is a blank check written in the middle of a war. Whatever the UAE decides to do, Saudi Arabia just said it will support.
Whatever Bahrain’s response, Saudi will back it. Whatever Jordan, Qatar, or Kuwait determines is necessary, Riyadh just pledged everything it has

This investigation is based on original research and writing by A.A. The Russian "invasion" of Ukraine?
Anyone who believes Associated Press headlines like the one below was probably vaxed four years ago too.
Russia did not "invade" Crimea. Crimea, an independent government like Quebec is to Canada, voted to succeed after the coup in Kiev. But the new unelected government in Kiev wouldn't have it. Troops with neo-Nazi insignias (I remember the pix) proceeded to bomb and raid Russian speaking Crimea non-stop until friends and relatives from Russia came to the rescue, first as volunteer troops and then finally as official help from Moscow.
Then they discovered illegal underground labs in Ukraine preparing to engage in germ and chemical warfare. Ukraine was prepared to concede but the blond shaggy head PM in UK persuaded leaders in Kiev to keep on fighting with promises of big-time money for them from NATO nations.
As AI explained, "Russia is now the most Christian nation in the world, culturally." It wasn't in the past, and it may not be in the future, but it is now.

Middle East travel chaos Unprecidented
More than 3,400 flights have been canceled across seven major Middle Eastern airports on Sunday, according to flight tracker Flightradar24, affecting hundreds of thousands of passengers.
Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways – three major Gulf carriers that typically handle about 90,000 passengers daily – canceled roughly a third of their flights, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
Air France, Lufthansa, KLM, Air India, and others suspended regional operations from at least March 3–7. FlightAware reported more than 19,000 global flight delays due to the Middle East crisis as of 2:30 am GMT on Sunday.
Russian carriers, including Aeroflot, also canceled or rerouted flights, and suspended services to Tehran, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), about 8,000 Russian tourists have been stranded abroad while returning from vacations after missing Middle East connections. Rosaviatsia has been coordinating alternative routes to avoid Israel and Iran.

Studying Ron Taylor's Tares
Author Ron Taylor does well to talk about Wheat and Tares and point out the great difference between self-effort and God's effort. Too often "self-effort" becomes a counterfeit of God's work, nearly magical in it's reliance upon will power and subconscious energy. Norman Peale's famous Power of Positive Thinking, and Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich come to mind. God is just called upon to sanctify your inner strength or inner peace. You can get by with Jesus as your example instead of your life. "What will Jesus say" becomes "What would Jesus do" as man's spirit becomes a copy instead of the original Holy Spirit.
Our message for Lent was "Don't try harder, have more faith". But to have more faith one must put some effort into such disciplines as prayer, bible reading, and worship. Our beloved St. Paul wrote, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Clearly the apostle knew he had to do something too. Ron Taylor helps us by identifying sources of confusion.
GOD'S KINGDOM ON EARTH
There are two ways of understanding the Lord's Prayer when we say, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". It can mean we must work to establish the Kingdom with or without Jesus. It can also mean we must pray for the Spirit to establish the Kingdom or bring the Kingdom to earth at the end of our time.
There are two ways of understanding the Great Commission when Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world making disciples of all nations". In those days when nations mean king and subjects the instruction can mean converting governments and peoples as in the Old Testament. Or in our society where individuals make decisions for themselves, it can mean making disciples period.
In God's multi-dimensional mind I believe He mean "both/and". It takes more than one kind of person to achieve more than one kind of goal. There are hard-nosed prophets with gifts of discernment meant to crack open a stubborn person's defenses, and there are kind-hearted care-givers who ignore the sins in order to heal the sinner. There are those confronting kings and governors to convert whole nations and those loving their neighbour. We don't all have the same skills and opportunities as a reading of Corinthians body ministry tells us. Those who reach out using their own efforts alone will quickly discover their short-comings, so it's a good thing to try and fail.
Ron Taylor makes it clear that the Church will not be a conquering Church in terms of lasting dominion. The Church Triumphant is, as Catholics proclaim, in heaven. It's the Church Militant on earth, fighting evil and reclaiming in the hearts of men what was stolen by Satan. It's not Prosperity Gospel that leads men to borrow money based on forced "faith", or the wealth transfer which appeals to lazy men, but a God who reigns triumphant in the lives of men with a peace and victory totally unlike human peace and victory.
REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY
Another form of Tares described by Ron Taylor are the Christians who believe that the Church has replaced Israel. Such Christians are pointing to the dirt in their brother's eyes and not seeing how much more accountable they are for the dirt in their own eye, for "To whom much is given much is expected". All we can say for sure is that the Church does not replace Israel, it substitutes for it as a grafted branch which bears fruit for a severed plant. And we know new branches are sprouting among Messianic Jews.
I am grateful that we who are Church, are able to also inherit the promises given to Abraham, that we too are the "apple of his eye", and Genesis 12:3

In my heart I have seen the Chosen People through the tear-filled eyes of Jesus and know that when he cries "These are MY people" he is feeling their pain as his own flesh and blood in a way that we can never feel.
IN CONCLUSION
Let us not be misled by scriptures that warn of a One World Religion when we see Christians of different denominations and opinions coming to worship and pray together. The former is made of tares who think Jesus is just like Buddha, Mohammad, Confucius or all the other founders of religions. The latter is made of wheat who speak the words of Jesus, do the good deeds of Jesus, feel his feelings, and think his thoughts. In other words, live the life of Jesus. The rest is extraneous and as irrelevant as home rules are to different families.
Let the Apostles Creed of our forefathers in the 4th century be our common statement of faith. Let the life of Jesus be our common experience. let the Holy Bible be our common guide as the inspired written word of God, unchanging for all time. Then we will be able to see clearly the difference between Wheat and Tares.

Trump just had a “very positive” phone call with Xi on February 4th, in which they did discuss global military conflicts, including Iran, as well as trade/economic cooperation, and Trump confirmed he will be visiting China from March 31-April 2.
I think a backdoor agreement has already been made, and both Xi and Putin agreed Khamenei and the radical Islamic regime must go. There’s no other way this could have been pulled off. It would have been too substantial a risk to both national and global security for Trump to do this blindly.

In 1979, under President Carter, the Senior Executive Service (SES) was created as a non-partisan corps of career managers to implement federal policy, equivalent to general officers in the military.
During Obama’s first term (2009-2013), a gradual purge of patriots began across government agencies, including intelligence and military, transforming the SES into a tool for political control.
