Prayer for Today...

Wednesday 11-18-2020

Ah Holy YHWH!

You see the deepest groaning of our souls. You know our fears and insecurities. You know the moments of doubt and the times when we are overwhelmed. You hold us in your hand, and nothing trickles between your fingers into our haven without you being aware of it and permitting it.

We will never fully understand the ‘why’ of the many things in our lives, but we know with a certainty that you are and that you sustain your own. You listen to the heart moans and you caress the hunched shoulders that carry life’s burdens. You listen to the fears and insecurities we whisper to the ceiling when the darkness blankets and the world is still. You feel our doubts and see our breaking points and you wrap us in those loving arms of yours and hold us until they pass. And nothing—nothing—comes into our lives without good purpose.

You do not want us to sit in our present state, but you want us to grow in you and become the fulfillment of the potential you created within us. You are with us when trials come, and you use them to teach us so much about your power and your love and your might.

Father, we hunger to be all you want us to be, but we are fully aware of our weaknesses. Be our strength in these days. Don’t allow us to be cowards. Guard us from apathy. Keep our feet from hesitant steps but give us a sure stride toward the work to which you have called us. Glorify yourself in us today in Y’shua’s name and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Matthew 1:11 and Josiah the father of Jechoniah and his brothers, at the time of the deportation to Babylon.

Revelation 12:8 but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
