I’m [REBEL NEWS] back in court today with former Trudeau Justice Minister David Lametti:
He’s the disgraced former Trudeau justice minister who illegally invoked martial law against peaceful trucker protesters.
But he’s trying to do something else illegal, and we’ve got to stop him. He’s trying to destroy public records of his involvement.

As you know, last week the Federal Court ruled the invocation of the Emergencies Act was illegal, unreasonable, unjustifiable and unconstitutional — just to list a few of the court’s comments. And the man who approved that massive violation of civil liberties was Lametti.
Now, hundreds of victims — for example, everyone who had their bank account seized — can sue the government.
So Lametti announced he’s quitting as an MP, and skulking off to a private law firm.
But — incredibly — he tried to delete his entire ministerial Twitter account, including his “direct messages”.
That’s destroying evidence.
We caught him, and filed an emergency lawsuit in court. A judge briefly heard our case on Monday but gave Lametti until today to hire a personal lawyer. So, we have another hearing at 4 p.m. Eastern Time — just a few hours from now!
You’d think Lametti would just agree not to destroy the evidence. But he’s actually going to fight this.
I’ve never seen anything like it. Have you ever heard of a former cabinet minister trying to destroy his old records? And actually fighting in court for the right to do so?
What is he trying to hide?
But look: we’re in court against both a government lawyer and Lametti’s own personal lawyer. Both of which are paid for by your tax dollars.

P.S. This isn’t Lametti’s personal Twitter account. It’s his official government Twitter account, staffed by civil servants. It’s against the law for him to destroy those records — they belong to the government. I’m sure he’s trying to hide things from the hundreds of people who are about to sue him.

Judge nixes Trump’s March 4 Trial Date in Federal Election Subversion Case:
Donald Trump’s March 4 trial date in his Washington, D.C. criminal case is officially off.
The federal judge overseeing the case made the call on Friday, just hours after indicating in court that lingering uncertainty surrounding the case has clouded her trial calendar in April and possibly beyond.
Judge Tanya Chutkan’s decision was widely expected amid Trump’s ongoing effort to have higher courts declare him immune from the charges, which stem from Trump’s bid to subvert the 2020 election. Chutkan rescinded the trial date in a brief order, indicating only that she would reschedule it “if and when” the immunity issue is settled.
The trial, if it occurs, is expected to last for several months.
In a lightly attended proceeding Friday, Chutkan tacitly acknowledged the lingering uncertainty the case had caused for her schedule.
“I do not know what my schedule will be in mid-April,” the Obama-appointed judge said at a brief conference attempting to schedule the sentencing of a Jan. 6 defendant who was convicted last year of breaching the Capitol.
At the short conference, Chutkan didn’t explicitly mention Trump’s case. But she made clear that she’s keeping her calendar flexible in the event she is able to reschedule it.
Chutkan recently scheduled the trial of Anthony Mastanduno, another Jan. 6 defendant, to begin on April 2, prompting inferences that she doesn’t anticipate Trump’s trial occurring before the latter half of that month. On Friday, she said she had already told Mastanduno that his trial “may have to be moved depending on other matters.”
For now, evidentiary motions and other typical pretrial proceedings are on hold in Trump’s case while the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals mulls the immunity question. The D.C. Circuit’s eventual ruling will likely be appealed to the Supreme Court, prompting further delays.
Until those higher courts resolve the issue, Chutkan is unable to move Trump’s case forward. She has suspended key pretrial deadlines that she will need to reschedule if the proceedings get back on track. Nearly 60 days have elapsed since Trump’s immunity claim paused the proceedings, suggesting that even if Chutkan received a green light to restart the case immediately, she would likely set his trial in late April or early May.
Chutkan acknowledged Friday the intense scrutiny applied to her scheduling decisions of late. “My words are always subject to interpretation,” she said.
Chutkan’s comments came as she attempted to schedule the sentence of defendant Antony Vo, who was convicted by a jury last September for breaching the restricted Capitol building on Jan. 6. She ultimately set his sentencing date for April 10, even though she acknowledged she would likely be in trial — the only question, she said, was which trial it would be.
“We’ll make it work,” Chutkan told Vo’s attorney Carmen Hernandez. Acknowledging Hernandez’s own busy trial calendar, Chutkan added, “Mine is a little less certain.”
“I will probably be in trial,” Chutkan said, “one way or the other.”

When President Trump proposed similar measures, the chorus of condemnation from the left was deafening.

Terms like “wall-builder” and “Muslim ban” were brandished like scarlet letters, weaponized in an effort to paint Trump as a heartless bigot.
Fast forward to today, and the script has flipped.
Biden, uttering almost identical language, is praised for his “pragmatic” approach to the border crisis.
His proposed “shutdown” is met with cautious optimism, not scornful denunciation.
The once-toxic labels of “racist” and “xenophobe” seem to have vanished into thin air, replaced by murmurs of “bipartisanship” and “compromise.”
This blatant double standard exposes the left’s selective outrage and their cynical manipulation of language.
When a Republican advocates for border security, it’s branded as bigotry.
When a Democrat does the same, it’s suddenly statesmanship.
This political opportunism undermines any genuine conversation about securing our borders and protecting our citizens.
But let’s delve deeper; than mere rhetorical hypocrisy.
Biden’s proposed “shutdown” remains shrouded in mystery.
The much-touted bipartisan deal exists only in nebulous whispers, its details hidden from public scrutiny.
How is this different from Trump’s proposals, which were also subject to intense criticism for lacking transparency?
It appears the selective amnesia plaguing the left extends to matters of accountability and due process.
The truth is, that the issue of border security transcends partisan squabbles and media narratives.
It’s about protecting our national sovereignty, ensuring the safety of our citizens, and upholding the rule of law.
These are not partisan considerations; they are fundamental American values that should not be bartered on the altar of political expediency.
