Canada Isn’t Sovereign? Shawn Buckley Exposes Constitutional Truths (King, Land & Power)
Canada isn’t what you’ve been told. In this episode, constitutional lawyer Shawn Buckley breaks down what the Canadian Constitution actually says about sovereignty, executive power, the monarchy, land ownership, and how government authority is exercised in Canada. We also connect these constitutional realities to major current controversies:
BC’s $750,000 Human Rights Tribunal fine over “wrong speech,” and the growing debate over land/title transfers and UNDRIP-style governance shifts in British Columbia. If you’ve never read the Constitution (and most Canadians haven’t), this conversation will challenge the “democracy” narrative, explain why power often feels unaccountable, and show how the process becomes the punishment through tribunals and state enforcement.
In this episode:• Why “Canada is a democracy” is challenged (referendums vs party control)• Who holds executive power under Canada’s constitutional structure• The role of the Governor General, Privy Council, and Crown authorities• How property rights can be undermined through taxation and title uncertainty• BC Human Rights Tribunal: the $750,000 penalty and chilling effects on speech• UNDRIP/land governance debates and why transparency matters

CANADIAN:
For Liberals, the last week in Canadian politics has been one of celebration.
A convention in Montreal last weekend was the warm-up for Monday’s triple byelection sweep.
The party once again has a majority in the House of Commons — one built with Conservative and NDP defectors who have rallied to the Mark Carney Movement and the aura of power
Carney says the parliamentary advantage will be used to take action on matters like affordability, housing and the economy, and not for “showboating.”
“We’re going to have less of that. We’re going to have more substance,” he said. “It’s the time to be serious.
But as Team Carney leans into the hard work of steering the nation out from under the menacing shadow of U.S. President Donald Trump, he might keep in mind one lesson of politics, past and present: the sort of big-tent coalition that he has cobbled together often ends with a spectacular implosion.
This is not to pooh-pooh the unfurling Grit parade.
But the seeds of Carney’s early success — his broad, beyond-partisanship appeal — could grow into the weeds that will entangle him down the road.
That can be forgotten as the world lurches from one war to another, or scrolls for Trump’s next bloated boast, outrageous threat or AI-generated image of the commander-in-chief as Jesus Christ.
It can be masked by the scrambling within the Conservative party caucus room as Pierre Poilievre tries to head off any more defections.
But the fault lines are there.
Liberal MP Karina Gould, who was a cabinet minister under Justin Trudeau, was asked how comfortable she was with a new caucus colleague like Conservative floor-crosser Marilyn Gladu.
Gladu was widely viewed as a social conservative before she joined the Liberals. The Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada describes her, along with fellow Tory defectors Matt Jeneroux of Edmonton and Nova Scotia’s Chris d’Entremont, as “anti-choice.”
“I’m going to hold the prime minister accountable for what he has said about accepting somebody who has held beliefs that are contrary to the beliefs of the Liberal party and its membership,” Gould said in a CPAC interview. “I think we’re going to have to see how that goes.”
People of all political stripes are rallying to the Mark Carney Movement’s political vision, one that calls for big, bold moves to protect Canada from external shocks.
That vision has seen cuts to foreign aid but a massive boost to defence spending, and a plan to increase oil production in Alberta while easing environmental regulations.
We've seen the ire of Liberal party luminaries like former cabinet ministers Lloyd Axworthy and Allan Rock. Environmentalist Steven Guilbeault resigned on principle from Carney’s cabinet, although he remains a Liberal MP.
“I think that I can continue to contribute to (environmental policy) questions despite certain shortcomings on the climate,” he told CPAC last week.
What happens when the White House threats recede, perhaps as early as this fall, following the U.S. midterm elections? And what if 2028 sees Trump replaced by a friendlier presidential face — a true Canadian ally?

Carney has established himself as a leader capable of selling the old political slogan, “Neither left, nor right, but forward.” But to herd a diverse flock of Liberal MPs and broker their divergent expectations and demands is another skill entirely.
Brian Mulroney won the largest-ever parliamentary majority in the 1984 election. He signed a free trade deal with the U.S., campaigned for Nelson Mandela’s liberation and the end of apartheid and, on two occasions, tried to remedy his native Quebec’s absence from the Constitution.
These were objectives on the same scale that Carney has set out for his government.
But when Mulroney’s coalition of red Tories, Western Conservatives and Quebec nationalists fell apart, it was like a spectacular collision, birthing both the Reform Party, with its cries of western alienation, and the Bloc Québécois, with its demand for Quebec sovereignty.
And the 1993 election reduced the Conservatives to just two seats in Parliament.
There are signs that the tornado that is Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement is starting to fracture.
The Iran war has divided it into Republicans who advocate for America protecting Israel against its enemies, and further-right figures like Tucker Carlson, or Joe Kent, a top counterterrorism official who resigned, blaming the war on “pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”
Only a year ago, Trump’s inauguration had right-wingers in Europe cheering on his anti-immigration pledges and populist vibes, believing they would usher in an “awakening” that could sweep their parties to power.
A year later, Trump’s closest right-wing ally in Europe, Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, has been ousted, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni is on his sinner’s list for defending Pope Leo, and French opposition leader Marine Le Pen has rebuked Trump for strikes on Iran that were “carried out blindly” and have had “catastrophic consequences.
Buzzkill isn’t the best way to start the weekend. Canada’s Liberals can celebrate that they are winning at the game of politics and have work to get done.
But as they set forth, they should remember that it’s not for nothing that the adjective most used to describe coalitions is “shaky.”

Ontario’s Death Review Committee wants to add pro-euthanasia members
Ontario Solicitor General Michael Kerzner says the committee will be experts 'interested in supporting MAiD practice.'

(LifeSiteNews) — The committee that oversees euthanasia, or Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), is planning to expand in Ontario with new “diverse” people who hold extreme pro-euthanasia views and are “interested” in “supporting” the deadly procedure.
A recent report from the Globe and Mail noted that Ontario’s MAiD Death Review Committee (MDRC), which looks at all deaths by the procedure in the province, wants to diversify. This means that, in essence, the committee is looking to stack itself with pro-death people.
Ontario Solicitor General Michael Kerzner says the committee will be cut in size from 16 to eight people who all hold “diverse viewpoints.” The new members will be experts “interested in supporting MAiD practice.”
The committee only began reviewing cases about two years ago and no less than two former members of the MDRC say the new committee will be less thorough with less oversight.
Removed from the language about the committee was wording that called its members “independent expert review,” and was replaced with the term “guidance to practitioners” who “support emerging MAiD practice.”
Euthanasia is the sixth-leading cause of death in Canada, but it was not listed in Statistics Canada’s top 10 leading causes of death from 2019 to 2022.
Former committee members share concerns over new format
Dr. Dirk Huyer, Ontario’s chief coroner, said the committee “is evolving in response to the changing landscape of MAiD in Ontario and will continue to be a means of providing independent expert review of MAiD deaths to assist in evaluating public safety concerns and identify opportunities for continued broad system improvements.”
However, according to one family doctor, Ramona Coelho, who was previously on the committee, the new changes will risk the independence of the committee and possibly its credibility.
“When the MDRC is reconstituted to include only MAiD clinicians or those supportive of the practice, it will become a closed loop,” she noted.
“Oversight bodies are meant to critically evaluate systems, not align with the communities they oversee.”
Trudo Lemmen, also a former MDRC committee member and a law professor at the University of Toronto, said, “The (coroner’s) office has also justified the overhaul by citing the difficulty of managing diverse viewpoints and lack of consensus within the MDRC.”
“If diversity of perspectives is itself treated as a liability, the inevitable result will be an artificial consensus in an area where profound ethical disagreement persists,” the doctor noted.
As reported by LifeSiteNews, the reality is that in Ontario deaths by euthanasia cannot include any reference to MAiD and can only list the illness, disease, or disability leading to the request.
As LifeSiteNews’ Jonathon Van Maren recently put it, “when someone is killed by a euthanasia practitioner via lethal injection in Ontario, the lethal injection is not recorded as their cause of death.”
“Instead, the cause of death is recorded as whatever the ‘MAiD assessors’ decided made the patient eligible for a lethal injection in the first place.”
MAiD has become more rampant in Canada thanks to the Liberal Party being in power. However, the Conservative Party is trying to do what it can to limit MAiD’s expansion.
As reported by LifeSiteNews, Montreal Dr. Peter Blusanovics recently called on the Liberal government to support Bill C-218, a private members’ bill that will stop a planned expansion of euthanasia to those with mental illness in Canada.
The Liberal government under former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and current Prime Minister Mark Carney, however, has worked to expand euthanasia 13-fold since it was legalized in 2016. Canada now has the fastest-growing assisted-suicide program in the world. Meanwhile, Health Canada released a series of studies on advanced requests for assisted suicide.

Iran reopens Strait of Hormuz as Lebanon cease-fire holds, sending oil prices tumbling
President Donald Trump and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi announced Friday that the Strait of Hormuz is now “completely open” for all commercial vessels “so long as the Israel-Lebanon cease-fire remains in place,” which went into effect Friday for 10 days.

· Trump celebrated on Truth Social but clarified the US will maintain its naval blockade of Iranian ports specifically—”which does not impede other traffic”—to pressure Tehran into completing peace negotiations, saying “THE NAVAL BLOCKADE WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS IT PERTAINS TO IRAN, ONLY, UNTIL SUCH TIME AS OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN IS 100% COMPLETE.”
· Oil prices plummet: Crude oil prices dropped from $92.48 per barrel Tuesday to roughly $83 per barrel following the announcement. Trump said “MOST OF THE POINTS ARE ALREADY NEGOTIATED” and “THIS PROCESS SHOULD GO VERY QUICKLY.”
· What’s next: The cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon is scheduled to last 10 days and set the stage for US-Iran peace talks set to expire Tuesday. Mediator Pakistan is working to arrange a second round of talks, but the parties have yet to formally commit. Iran had initially claimed Lebanon was included in the US-Iran cease-fire, but Washington held firm that Israel’s battle with Hezbollah was not part of the original deal.
RFK Jr SNAPS at unhinged Democrat who calls him racist for alleged comment about black children
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. got into a shouting match with Rep. Terri Sewell during a Thursday budget hearing after she confronted him about 2024 podcast remarks alleging “every Black kid is now just standardly put on Adderall, SSRIs, benzos” and needs to be “reparented” at his proposed rural “rehabilitation facilities” modeled after “wellness farms” with “no cellphones, no screens.”
Kennedy denied every saying such a think and demanded Sewell “play the recording,” which she could not provide.

· The heated exchange: For several minutes the pair clashed, with Sewell asking “Have you ever reparented or parented, I should say, a Black child?”—a question Kennedy refused to answer. Sewell pressed: “In your opinion, what factors should the federal government consider when reparenting a Black child who has been on ADHD or ADD [medication]? That’s rhetorical, sir.”
· HHS response: An HHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital that Kennedy’s comments were taken “out of context,” explaining he was describing communities where young people “could undergo a form of ‘reparenting’” and that “in psychotherapy terms, reparenting involves developing the emotional regulation, discipline, boundaries and self-worth that may not have been established in childhood.” Kennedy made the original comments on the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast while running for president in 2024, discussing plans to fight the drug epidemic.

Tolpuddle

London's municipal housing development director tried to explain the disastrous condition of the Tolpuddle Housing Co-0perative at Adelaide and King streets as "project in difficulty". This designation allows the city to provide remedies to a housing provider at risk of not meeting legislative requirements of being well managed.
We're talking about people coming into the building and turning it into such a state that no one would ever want to rent there (use your imagination). I love the flowery language used by the director of municipal housing development. "Funding models lag behind current economic realities and keeping things in check can be fiscally demanding for housing providers."
So, instead of screening applicants better and securing the entrance ways with better security it's all about "throw more money our way to make repairs"? I say throw more bums out. Do it as a favor to those experiencing hard times who will try and get back on their feet with a decent roof over their head. Let them stay. In other words learn to discriminate. Not all homeless are the same, and we do them a great injustice by painting them all with the same brush.

Trump budget plan cuts billions of dollars to pro-LGBT programs, targets gender ‘extremism’

Trump’s proposed 2027 budget cuts more than $6 billion to pro-LGBT HIV programs and ‘research,’ defunds ‘gender transitions,’ and eliminates funding for radical ‘LGBT youth’ initiatives.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The Trump administration’s budget proposal for the 2027 fiscal year includes numerous cuts to pro-LGBT programs as well as a funding request for a new mission center to counteract gender “extremism.”
LifeSiteNews previously covered the budget’s various provisions to defund the abortion industry, and now the LGBT pressure group Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is complaining about substantial proposed cuts to LGBT-related budget items, including more than $6 billion dollars to HIV programs, pro-LGBT “research,” and “trans-sensitive behavioral health services and prevention navigation,” as well as bans on funding “gender transitions,” elimination of “gender ideology” funding through foreign aid, and elimination of LGBT-related housing programs.
The budget also targets “DEI and anti-racism teacher training,” “gender-identity-related technical assistance,” an “LGBT youth summit for migrant students,” and “Campus LGBTQIA+ Pride Center staffing.”
Moreover, the budget calls for eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs across the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, and Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Also noteworthy, as highlighted by Watermark Out News, is the FBI budget request for the recently-created NSPM-7 (National Security Presidential Memorandum 7) Joint Mission Center, which is “working to counter DT [domestic terrorism] and organized political violence by integrating intelligence, operational support, and financial analysis to proactively identify networks and prosecute domestic terrorist and related criminal actors.”
“DT lone offenders will continue to pose significant detection and disruption challenges because of their capacity for independent radicalization to violence, ability to mobilize discretely, and access to firearms,” the request states.
“Additionally, in recent years, heinous assassinations and other acts of political violence in the United States have dramatically increased. Commonly, this violent conduct relates to views associated with anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the U.S. Government (USG); extremism on migration, race, and gender, and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality,” it adds.
For years, LGBT activists have worked to promote “gender fluidity,” the idea that sexual identity is separate from biology and discernible only by personal perception, across public education, libraries, health care, and cultural traditions such as school homecomings and athletic competitions.
Critics warn that their efforts have yielded a wide array of harms, both to the physical and mental health of gender-confused individuals themselves, as well as to the rights, health, and safety of those who disagree, such as girls and women forced to share intimate facilities with males, female athletes forced to compete against biological males with natural physical advantages, and individuals forced to affirm false sexual identities in violation of their consciences, scientific fact, and/or their religious beliefs.
A large body of evidence shows that “affirming” gender confusion carries serious harms, especially when done with impressionable children who lack the mental development, emotional maturity, and life experience to consider the long-term ramifications of the decisions being pushed on them, or full knowledge about the long-term effects of life-altering, physically transformative, and often irreversible surgical and chemical procedures.
Upon returning to office, one of President Donald Trump’s earliest executive actions was an order that ended all federal financial support for “transition” procedures on minors, rescinded or amended all of the Biden health bureaucracy’s past endorsements of underage “transitioning,” and called for a review of the medical literature on the subject, enforcing all existing restrictions on underage “transitioning” and taking regulatory action to “end” the practice to the greatest extent possible under current law.
The administration has also used federal purse strings to curb transgender ideology in classroom instruction, sex-specific athletic programs, and access to intimate facilities such as restrooms and lockers.

A Political Puppet Show and I can prove it.
Nothing has changed since my father and Don Brooks father witnessed the "puppeteers" setting the party platform for both the Conservatives and the Liberals. How was it possible that both our parents attended the same secret meeting of Canada's elite - and Don and I should meet and find out about it decades later? Impossible, unless there is a God who wanted us to meet just like our parents did. So we can assure you that every word below is more than a conspiracy theory.
PS - Highlight is mine.
and Joseph Bourne
There are many times when I read the news and wonder if my efforts are for nothing. This is one of those times.
The Liberal government under Mark Carney has secured a majority through floor crossing, reaching 174 seats. Many Canadians are asking me whether there is even a point in voting. My response: only if your actions don’t stop there.
The idea of “two wings, one bird” is gaining ground across the West—the belief that all major parties are controlled by the same interests. Many people, trying to make sense of recent events, conclude that the game is rigged and the winners are chosen by an “elite.”

A study by the Media Ecosystem Observatory on social media–fuelled conspiracy theories noted a rise in several narratives, including media–elite collusion, election fraud, and the “deep state.” Trust is eroding because people feel they are playing a game they cannot win, controlled by forces beyond their reach.
When you look at the chain of events behind Mark Carney’s rise and his majority government, it becomes clear why many see it as a state manufactured with powerful backing.
Start with the leadership race. It was called after Justin Trudeau had, over ten years, severely damaged the Liberal brand. Abacus polling from January 19, 2025, showed Liberal support at a low point: Conservatives at 46%, Liberals at 20%, and the NDP at 19%, based on a sample of 1,500 Canadian adults.

At that moment, a Liberal victory seemed out of reach.
What followed was a shift in tone. Blame for policy failures was increasingly placed on Trudeau, and pressure mounted until he stepped down. Carney then entered the race against long-serving MPs and quickly became the frontrunner.
This is notable. He had spent over a decade outside Canada, serving as Governor of the Bank of England (2013–2020), later as a UN Special Envoy, and then as chair of Brookfield Asset Management (2020–2025). Despite this, he won the leadership race decisively.

That alone is unusual. Leadership winners are almost always long-time MPs with recent domestic political experience. Carney not only broke that pattern but also did so with record support, winning every one of the 343 ridings—including those of his opponents.
Then came the 2025 election. The Liberals secured 43.76% of the vote and 169 seats, just short of a majority. The Conservatives won 41.31% and 144 seats. Under proportional representation, the Liberals would have held about 148 seats and the Conservatives around 140—highlighting how first-past-the-post can distort outcomes depending on geography.
This result also marked a sharp reversal: a roughly 24-point swing from the 20% polling figure in January to nearly 44% in the election. Such a comeback is rare in Canadian politics.
After the election, the Liberals moved to secure a majority through floor crossings—another unheard-of outcome. Reports surfaced of efforts to recruit MPs from other parties. Five crossed the floor, four from the Conservatives.
Historically, large-scale floor crossing is rare. It has happened before—under John A. Macdonald and Jean Chrétien—but remains unusual. Overall, Liberal governments have benefited more from such moves, gaining 26 seats compared to 15 for Conservatives.

What stands out here is the profile of some who crossed. For example, Marilyn Gladu, known for positions at odds with current Liberal policy, switching sides raises questions that many find hard to reconcile.
She supported the truckers’ movement that happened during COVID, she’s supported legislation that would limit abortion, and she’s spoken in favor of conversion therapy.
There is also context worth noting. In 2011, Bill C-306proposed requiring MPs who switch parties to trigger a by-election. It would have forced MPs to seek a fresh mandate before sitting under a new banner. The Conservatives voted against it—142 opposed. That decision now has consequences.
Given all this, some Canadians are turning cynical, concluding that their vote no longer matters. I take a different view. If anything, this is a reason to do more, not less.

If you believe important actions are happening behind the scenes—or in plain sight—and not being properly examined, then speak. Participation cannot end at the ballot box.

Trump Just Proved he has a Plan
Clandestine@WarClandestine
The Dems now find themselves in an extremely disadvantageous position.
Gas prices are coming down, the stock market is recovering, global energy trade now runs through us, and Trump is going to get all the credit and positive optics heading into the midterms.
There was no “forever war” and Trump proved that he is a far superior Commander in Chief than any of his predecessors. Trump proved he is not like the corrupt Presidents of the past. Trump proved that he knows what he is doing, and all the critics have no leg to stand on.
Now the Dems are staring down the barrel. Trump is headed into the midterms with a full head of steam, anti-Trump narratives busted, maximum positive optics, public support, combined with his promise to secure elections with voter-ID… the Dems are in trouble.
Trump just proved he has a plan, that he is thinking many steps ahead, and that we are on a timeline. Do people really think Trump didn’t take the midterms into account when constructing this timeline?
Of course he did. He timed this move for maximum effect. More positive optics to come. When November rolls around, the Trump train will be at its peak, and the Dems won’t be able to cheat.

In an era saturated with information and rapidly evolving global dynamics, one figure consistently dominates headlines and sparks intense debate: Donald J. Trump. Despite relentless media scrutiny and opposition from various influential circles, his enduring popularity remains a significant force, driving political conversations and impacting the geopolitical landscape.
A recent comprehensive update from And We Know Official offers a fresh perspective on the intricate political, social, and geopolitical developments centered around President Trump. It paints a detailed picture of a leader whose influence, far from waning, continues to shape critical national and international narratives.
The video highlights a remarkable resilience in Trump’s approval ratings (44%), noting it surpasses many recent presidents at comparable stages. This suggests a voter base seemingly impervious to traditional media narratives and social media criticism, hinting at a political strength often underestimated by mainstream polling. His influence on upcoming midterm elections and Republican prospects is portrayed as substantial, underscoring a persistent disconnect between media portrayal and grassroots support.
Beyond domestic politics, the analysis delves into Trump’s strategic approach to complex global challenges. A key focus is the U.S.’s sophisticated leverage over Iran, described as a combination of targeted pressure and stringent blockades. This strategy, according to the video, has successfully constrained Iran’s revenue and prompted discussions on nuclear disarmament, illustrating a potent use of “military and economic tools in diplomacy” to achieve strategic goals without direct conflict.
Further demonstrating a proactive diplomatic stance, the video credits Trump with facilitating the first direct talks between Israel and Lebanon in over three decades, leading to a temporary ceasefire. Such moves are presented as critical steps towards regional stability under U.S. oversight, showcasing a blend of diplomacy and strategic pressure in stabilizing volatile regions.
Domestically, the video touches upon the ongoing political battles over tax policies, immigration, education, and healthcare, framing them as a clash between conservative values and progressive agendas. The narrative also expands to “global conspiracy themes,” including an “unholy trinity” associated with deep-state actors. The push for enhanced White House security infrastructure and the unexpected political shifts in Hungary are cited as instances of strategic maneuvers aimed at disrupting “deep-state and globalist plans,” challenging established power structures.
Amidst broader economic anxieties, the discussion pivots to personal financial resilience. The encouragement to invest in precious metals like gold and silver is presented as a safeguard against inflation and financial uncertainty. This reflects a growing sentiment among certain demographics to protect wealth through tangible assets in anticipation of potential economic crises or systemic monetary failures.
Crucially, the video weaves a powerful spiritual thread throughout its analysis. Pete Hegseth’s sermon-like critique of mainstream media, comparing them to biblical Pharisees, highlights the use of religious rhetoric to challenge perceived moral failings in journalism. This perspective frames the current societal struggles as a “spiritual and cultural battle,” emphasizing the importance of faith-driven leadership and the pursuit of truth amidst widespread misinformation.
It culminates in a call to prayer, resilience, and unwavering faith, aiming to bolster morale and reaffirm a belief in divine justice.
From strategic geopolitical plays to the very fabric of domestic policy and personal financial advice, the video from And We Know Official offers a distinct and comprehensive viewpoint on the forces shaping our world, with President Trump at the center of many narratives.
For those seeking to delve deeper into these insights and explore the full scope of the discussion, watching the complete video from And We Know Official is highly recommended. It promises a perspective that challenges conventional wisdom and encourages a look “beyond the headlines.”
