White House Dismisses Questions about where, how Biden acquired COVID-19:
It was revealed on Thursday that President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19, and that news naturally begged questions about where he could have contracted the virus and whom he may have infected, but based on responses from the White House, it appears that secrecy — or perhaps even cover-up — is the name of the game, as Fox News reported.
Biden, who has recently embarked on significant foreign travel to the Middle East, received his positive test result on Thursday morning, and was reportedly experiencing only mild symptoms such as a dry cough, runny nose, and fatigue.
Given the president’s advanced age and his membership in what would widely be considered a particularly at-risk group for serious coronavirus complications, journalists were unsurprisingly very interested in learning all they could about Biden’s case and the circumstances surrounding it.
But, when White House coronavirus coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha was asked if there was any information he could provide about when and how Biden acquired the illness, administration press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s unwillingness to allow a direct answer caught many off guard.
“Where exactly was the president infected?” the pair was asked during a Thursday afternoon briefing, to which Jha initially replied, “I don’t think we know.”
That is when Jean-Pierre took things to another level of vagueness and added suspicion by interjecting, “Look, I don’t think that matters, right? I think what matters is we prepared for this moment,” as the New York Post explained.
CNN’s Jeff Zeleny was unimpressed with Jean-Pierre’s response, saying, “you said it doesn’t matter where he got it. But how can it not matter where he got it? That is something that, of course, is involved in contact tracing, this administration has taken it very seriously – how could it not matter?”
As Matt Margolis of PJ Media aptly observed, “I guess contact tracing is only important for us little people, right? We’re the only ones who have to follow the rules?” noting the double standard that applied when former President Donald Trump contracted COVID-19 and he was accused of taking a lax attitude about contact tracing and exposure of others.
While the swiftness with which Jean-Pierre dismissed questions about the wheres, whys and hows of Biden’s infection could simply be yet another instance of the “do as I say, not as I do” approach embodied by Democrats throughout the pandemic, Margolis – and surely millions of others – have been left wondering “what it is they really don’t want us to know.” [Main Street Gazette]
David Jakubonis was arrested Saturday afternoon, US Attorney's Office announces
The suspect in the attack of Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., was arrested Saturday afternoon on a federal assault charge, the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of New York announced.
David Jakubonis is scheduled to make his first court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marion W. Payson Saturday. Zeldin is running for New York governor as a Republican.
Jakubonis, 43 of Fairport, New York, has been charged with attempted assaultin the second degree on the state level. He was arraigned in Perinton Town Court and released on his own recognizance after the Thursday attack.
Before Jakubonis' release, Zeldin predicted that the suspect would be released. Zeldin has promised to fire district attorneys that do not enforce the law.
Zeldin was giving a speech Thursday about bail reform at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post when the alleged assault happened.

This new study says a full 50% of Americans now believe there will be civil war in the next few years. It will probably be leveraged to disarm you. 👀
Today in news that's absolutely not good, a new research paper has been published that demonstrates the deterioration of American unity, with a full half of Americans now preparing for civil war.
The study, conducted by researchers from the University of California, Davis, found the following conclusions:
· Two-thirds of respondents (67.2%, 95% CI 66.1%, 68.4%) perceived ″a serious threat to our democracy, ″ but more than 40% agreed that ″having a strong leader for America is more important than having a democracy″ and that ″in America, native-born white people are being replaced by immigrants.″
· Half (50.1%) agreed that ″in the next few years, there will be civil war in the United States. ″
· Among 6,768 respondents who considered violence to be at least sometimes justified to achieve 1 or more specific political objectives, 12.2% were willing to commit political violence themselves ″to threaten or intimidate a person,″ 10.4% ″to injure a person,″ and 7.1% ″to kill a person.″
· Among all respondents, 18.5% thought it at least somewhat likely that within the next few years, in a situation where they believed political violence was justified, ″I will be armed with a gun″, and 4.0% thought it at least somewhat likely that ″I will shoot someone with a gun.″
Because this is a summary and hasn't been peer-reviewed, we don't have a breakdown of who answered questions which way based on political party and personal ideology. I'd be very curious, for example, to see how the questions about political violence were framed, or if the political affiliation of respondents was hidden (I find academics don't like mostly peaceful leftism to be painted in a bad light). Don't get Ahead of God's Horses:
Today, it seems, we can't wait for prophecy to be fulfilled by God. Many news observers imagine that the war in Ukraine will go nuclear so the Anti-Christ can promise peace and assume power over all nations (in fulfillment of Daniel 9: 24-27). Many imagine that the meeting last week in Iran is forming an alliance between Russia, Iran and Turkey to attack Israel in fulfillment of prophecy about Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38). Only one problem - tunnel vision. It takes the combined vision of Jewish, Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox Christians to see the whole picture, such as Don Brooks and I pulled together in the booklet we wrote in 2014, and the 40-minute video we just produced revealing God's puzzle. No one has had all the pieces until now. The big missing piece today is the war between Russia and Turkey foreseen in centuries past by Catholic and Orthodox saints and seers. After that war, the ultimate Crusade, the final Jihad, there will be regime changes you never thought possible. After "virtual Babylon" falls in one hour (Rev. 18:10), the forces of good and evil will regroup, permitting a short Era of Penance and a Covenant of Peace before the covenant is renewed/confirmed/strengthened by the scheming Anti-Christ to fool the people into total submission and worship of himself alone, not a "multi-faith" religion.
My point is not to correct any prophecies or their interpretation but to warn of the dangers of crying wolf before the beast shows up. History is full of such unfulfilled predictions. Our lives are full of times when we want to push God's agenda forward without his perfect timing and Spirit strength. We become unequally yoked with unbelievers. We forget that we are to be yoked with Jesus who pulls the weight and directs the steps like a groom dancing with his bride. It's a pattern as old as the bible. Adam and Eve couldn't wait to try the fruit of knowledge which would ultimately come from Jesus the living Truth and ineffable Light of the world, the "branch" off the tree of Israel, the Vine in the Garden of Heaven. The children of Abraham couldn't wait to be seasoned by God in the desert journey of Moses, to learn to transfer their trust from material goods to a heavenly supply, and so their exodus was prolonged to teach us a lesson, and the impatient ones died in the desert, not reaching the Promised Land.
One red flag to watch for is when you find yourself expecting a miracle that doesn't arrive. In response to Daniel's holy petition to God, the Archangel Gabriel required the Services of the Archangel Michael who was held up for 6 months in a spiritual battle with the fallen angel Prince of Persia. In response to Job's great faith in God, his prayers still went unanswered, and his pain and losses persisted until he stopped questioning God and the secret bet with Satan was over. Perfect faith is not always shown when miracles happen but also when they don't happen. (Read Hebrews 11). It is not important what's happening to us today, but to what happens to others as a result of our waiting on God. Moses had to wait 40 years working for his father-in-law before he was released to confront Pharaoh and say, "let my people go". And he never saw the Promised Land because of his quick temper. Even when Jesus appeared to Saul the great persecutor of Christians on the road to Damascus, Saul (renamed Paul) had to wait for years after his conversion.
Some crops pop up early and quickly in God's garden. Some crops take time as we, the plants, change by degrees. Our lust for quick results and satisfaction can get us into trouble. Consider the athlete who endures pain. St. Paul said "I buffet my body as one in training". God may give us mountains to make us into mountain climbers. God's horses are "meek" meaning well trained, responsive to the soldier riding it. If we rush into battle on our own steam [Flesh] we may find ourselves trampled. If we get the cart before the horse we will definitely find ourselves trampled. This applies to interpreting prophecy, our appetite for knowledge, and our measures for self-improvement. It applies to everything in God's kingdom. "Slow down and smell the roses" says the philosopher. "One day at a time" says AA. "Sufficient for each day is the evil thereof" says Jesus. No one knows how quickly things will unfold. All the famous authors of the last century who wrote about the future, like Dave Wilkerson, Hal Lindsay, and Bishop Sheen, were not so much wrong but rather misled by the news and their own desire to see things happen quickly. "Trust not in thine own understanding" wrote Solomon under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, "The race does not always go to the swiftest..but chance and circumstance affect us all" so that no man may know the future perfectly except God. Michigan public school employee who advocated for LGBT curriculum arrested in Pedophile Sting:
41-year-old Eric Rohman, an employee of Mt. Pleasant Michigan’s public school system, was arrested after he was caught in a sting operation targeting pedophiles. The operation was run by the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the FBI and Michigan State Police.
Rohman’s arrest was particularly important as he worked in the public school system and was a strong advocate for LGBT+ curriculum being taught.
Rohman and two other individuals contacted law enforcement agents posing as minors over social media and arranged to meet for sex. They were then arrested at the meeting locations for using a computer to commit a crime and accosting a minor for immoral purposes.
Rohman wasn’t shy about his political beliefs, sporting a “Black Lives Matter” T-shirt during an address to the school board.
Rohman began his address to the school board by saying, “My name is Eric Rohman. I am a resident, townie, taxpayer, vaccinated and functioning graduate of this high school, class of 1999, proud member of the LGBTQIA community, and an employee of Mt. Pleasant Public Schools.”
Rohman’s address then took a dark turn as he continued saying, “I can tell you this – they [children] are hungry for knowledge. They are so hungry for knowledge that despite your words, your wishes, your values, they will learn on their own. They’re gonna do it anyway, no matter what you say or do.”
That statement was addressed to parents who were furious at the clear grooming of children taking place in public schools around the nation.
Now it turns out that Rohman is a pedophile, further validating the fears that parents had about LGBT+ curriculum being taught in public schools. [Main Street Gazette]

W.H.O. declares highest alert over Monkeypox
The monkeypox outbreak has been declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization.
The classification is the highest alert that the WHO can issue and follows a worldwide upsurge in cases.
It came at the end of the second meeting of the WHO's emergency committee on the virus.
More than 16,000 cases have now been reported from 75 countries, said WHO director general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
There had been five deaths so far as a result of the outbreak, he added.
There are only two other such health emergencies at present - the coronavirus pandemic and the continuing effort to eradicate polio.
Dr Tedros said the emergency committee had been unable to reach a consensus on whether the monkeypox outbreak should be classified as a global health emergency.
However, he said the outbreak had spread around the world rapidly and he had decided that it was indeed of international concern.
Too little was understood about the new modes of transmission which had allowed it to spread, said Dr Tedros.
"The WHO's assessment is that the risk of monkeypox is moderate globally and in all regions, except in the European region, where we assess the risk as high," he added.
There was also a clear risk of further international spread, although the risk of interference with international traffic remained low for the moment, he said.
Dr Tedros said the declaration would help speed up the development of vaccines and the implementation of measures to limit the spread of the virus.
The WHO is also issuing recommendations which it hopes will spur countries to take action to stop transmission of the virusand protect those most at risk.
"This is an outbreak that can be stopped with the right strategies in the right groups," Dr Tedros said. [Conservative Opinion]
