Standing up for female sports in Toronto gets you fined
The Rebel News billboard truck was swarmed by Toronto police outside of a WNBA game while displaying an ad supporting Sophie Cunningham after she said women and girls should not have to compete against biological males.
Rebel News discovered on Tuesday evening — the hard way — that speaking out against radical transgenderism is apparently against the law in Toronto. And yes, you will be punished by the Toronto Police Service if you dare to do so.
Here’s the skinny: Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever were at the Scotiabank Arena to play the Toronto Tempo. Cunningham is the brave athlete who has spoken out against the spectre of male basketball players joining WNBA.
This of course would destroy the WNBA. Yes, the W in WNBA stands for Women’s. But here’s the crux of the matter: when the WNBA was incorporated in 1996, a woman was someone who was born as a biological female. Not a confused dude who “thinks” he’s a woman.
In any event, Rebel News went down to Scotiabank Arena with our big, beautiful billboard truck. We were broadcasting messages provided by our friends at the Canadian Women’s Sex-Based Rights organization, a.k.a., CAWSBAR.
CAWSBAR wants to keep female sports female. We know: shockers! But apparently this messaging is tantamount to hate speech in certain circles. Including the woefully woke brass running the Toronto Police Service.
And so it was that within minutes of our arrival at Scotiabank Arena, our truck was swarmed by seven police officers. Yes, there’s a record crimewave in Toronto right now. But Chief Myron Demkiw is more concerned with so-called thought crimes than, you know, actual crime.
Not only did we receive hundreds of dollars in bogus fines, but Toronto’s Thought Police said we needed a permit to display the messaging and they demanded we turn off our billboards.
That’s insane! There are hundreds of billboards in Toronto; there are even dozens of billboard trucks like ours criss-crossing the mean streets of Hogtown. But our truck is the problem? Seriously?
Oh, and this was not a one-off. A few weeks ago, the Toronto Police pulled over our truck. What a coincidence: the truck was displaying the same pro-female messaging that we were displaying last Tuesday. At least there were no tickets issued that time.
But the question arises, who is behind this harassment?

Speaker Johnson barnstorms Virginia, says GOP will expand its House majority in November

House Speaker Mike Johnson brought his 30-day midterm campaign tour to Virginia's competitive 2nd Congressional District on Monday, declaring he is "absolutely convinced" Republicans will grow their majority, and casting the November election as a stark choice between free markets and creeping socialism.
Johnson appeared alongside two-term Rep. Jen Kiggans, a former Navy helicopter pilot and geriatric nurse practitioner who faces a rematch against former Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria. The Speaker used the stop to hammer what he called an "open civil war" inside the Democratic Party between its establishment wing and an insurgent left anchored by the Democratic Socialists of America, a fracture he argued leaves voters with no viable moderate alternative on the other side of the ballot.
The Virginia swing is part of a broader blitz. Johnson told reporters he is visiting 34 House districts across 18 states over 30 days, a pace that signals how seriously Republican leadership views the midterm map. His confidence tracks with aggressive fundraising: the Washington Examiner reported Johnson raised $34 million in the first quarter of this year, his strongest fundraising quarter ever, and has distributed more than $64 million to members, campaigns, committees, and state parties this cycle.
Johnson frames November as a fight for the republic itself
The Speaker did not limit his pitch to pocketbook issues. He framed the midterms in existential terms, telling the Washington Times:
"In the next Congress, we will not be arguing over marginal tax rates or regulation. We'll be arguing over whether or not we're going to maintain our republic in our 251st year as a nation."
Johnson pointed to the DSA's policy platform as evidence of where the Democratic Party is heading. He said the left's long-term goal is to bring waves of Marxists and communists into Congress over successive election cycles until they can assume control of the means of production through government. He warned the endgame would mean the end of private property ownership and the takeover of small businesses that provide jobs across the country.
"That means no more private property ownership. That means the small business owners across America who provide jobs and opportunity for people will be taken over by the government. It's a dangerous game."
That warning echoes concerns raised by other House Republicans. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis has cautioned that DSA-backed candidates could build a far-left caucus if Republicans lose the House, a scenario Johnson's tour is designed to prevent.
Jeffries distanced himself from the DSA, but Johnson says it won't stick
Johnson seized on a move by House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries, who on Sunday denounced the DSA's policy platform and tried to distance his party from leftist positions including Medicare for All. Rather than treat the disavowal as credible, Johnson argued the energy, grassroots enthusiasm, and fundraising inside the Democratic Party all flow to the insurgent left, and that leaders like Jeffries and Senate Democratic leader Charles Schumer have no choice but to bring DSA-aligned candidates into the fold regardless of what they say publicly.
"The energy and the excitement and the grassroots and the funding is on the side of the insurgent left in the Democrat Party. They don't know what to do about it. There's no national leader of what they call the pragmatic Democrats.... There is no moderate Democrat Party anymore."
Johnson contrasted that picture with the Republican tent. He said the party welcomes anyone who believes in individual freedom, limited government, the rule of law, peace through strength, fiscal responsibility, free markets, and human dignity.
That message of inclusion comes at a moment when Johnson has had to manage his own internal pressures. His slim majority has forced him to muscle through key procedural votes by razor-thin margins, and he has faced more floor bypasses than any of his predecessors. But the Speaker's public posture on the trail betrays none of that strain, his focus is entirely forward, aimed at padding the margin so governing becomes less of a high-wire act.
Kiggans calls the race a fight between "common sense" and socialism
Kiggans matched Johnson's tone. She framed her rematch against Luria in blunt terms:
"It's a fight right now between craziness and common sense, and really civility and communism, socialism, the direction the Democratic Party has had to go to the left. And the opponent that we're running against who doesn't live in the district and who made $21 million inside stock trading, who now turns around and says she's against inside stock trading."
The stock-trading allegation against Luria is Kiggans's claim; no independent verification appeared in the reporting. But the charge taps into a bipartisan sore spot, congressional stock trading has drawn scrutiny from voters across the spectrum, and an opponent who profited from it while now opposing it hands Kiggans a ready-made contrast.
A Democratic poll conducted in July showed the Virginia 2nd District race tied, though the specific pollster, sample size, and margin of error were not disclosed. That tight number helps explain why Johnson chose the district for a personal visit. Johnson has also been navigating leadership challenges back in Washington, making visible shows of support for vulnerable incumbents like Kiggans all the more important to his strategy.
Luria fires back on social media, accusing Republicans of hurting working families
Luria did not let the visit go unanswered. She posted on social media while Johnson and Kiggans were together, writing:
"As corrupt Jen Kiggans and Mike Johnson meet with wealthy donors today, working Virginians are seeing their gas and grocery bills skyrocket, their friends and family members in uniform sent to fight in another foreign war, and their healthcare taken away to pay for tax cuts for billionaires."
Luria's statement is heavy on loaded framing, "corrupt," "skyrocket," "another foreign war," "taken away", but light on specifics. The Washington Times report did not independently verify any of the factual assertions in the post. It reads less like a policy rebuttal and more like a campaign press release designed to change the subject from the DSA fracture Johnson was highlighting.
Johnson, for his part, praised Kiggans as "among the most bipartisan members, one of the members that can walk into the middle of chaotic situations and get things done." Kiggans first won the seat in 2022 by defeating Luria, and Republicans view holding it as critical to any majority-building math.
House Republicans launch contrast website ahead of November
Over the weekend before the Virginia stop, House Republicans launched a website called contrastforamerica.com, designed to draw sharp distinctions between the two parties' agendas heading into the midterms. Johnson referenced the site during his appearance, though the specific content and the entity behind it, whether the NRCC, the House Republican Conference, or another arm, were not detailed in the reporting.
The site launch fits a pattern. Johnson has been pushing legislation through the House despite internal resistance, including renewed efforts on the SAVE America Act, and the contrast website appears aimed at giving candidates a unified set of talking points as they head into the fall stretch.
Johnson also raised $500,000 at a private Virginia fundraiser opposing a Democratic redistricting ballot measure that he said would shift the state's congressional map from a 6-5 Democratic majority to a lopsided 10-1 Democratic advantage. "This is not a 10-1 state," Johnson said at that event. The redistricting fight adds another layer to his Virginia engagement, it is not just about holding Kiggans's seat but about preventing Democrats from redrawing the entire state map in their favor.
Kiggans summed up the Republican case in five words: "Republicans are delivering on security and prosperity." Whether voters in Virginia's 2nd District agree will be one of the clearest tests of whether Johnson's confidence is justified, or whether Democrats' internal divisions matter less to swing-district voters than gas prices and grocery bills.
If the Democratic Party really is splitting apart, Republicans do not need to do much more than hold the door open and let the voters walk through it. Johnson seems to understand that. The question is whether his majority can govern well enough to earn
the invitation.

US Navy Secretly Escorts Tankers Through Strait of Hormuz
The U.S. Navy has quietly helped keep oil moving through the Strait of Hormuz, escorting tankers along a southern corridor close to Oman as tensions with Iran have disrupted one of the world's most important energy routes.
According to a New York Times report, only a small fraction of tankers continued using the strait during much of the war after Iran launched attacks on commercial shipping.
But since May, the U.S. military has helped more than 1,000 ships transit the waterway, according to U.S. Central Command.
Before the conflict, roughly 15 million barrels of crude oil a day passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
That flow fell sharply during the fighting.
Analysts cited by The Times estimate that approximately 5 million barrels a day now move through the strait as U.S.-protected shipping has increased.
The operation focuses on the southern portion of the strait, where ships stay closer to Oman and farther from Iran's coastline.
Tanker operators coordinate planned voyages with the U.S. military and report potential threats or attacks. American ships, aircraft, and helicopters can then respond to Iranian drones and missiles.
The mission has nevertheless come under repeated attack.
At least 15 ships using the southern routes have been hit since the beginning of June, according to a New York Times analysis of International Maritime Organization data.
Those attacks injured 16 mariners and killed two, the newspaper reported.
A separate vessel was struck near Oman this week, killing a crew member, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, which is administered by Britain's Royal Navy.
Two tankers operated by Greek shipping company Dynacom were hit on July 19, with one eventually abandoned, according to the International Maritime Organization.
The United Arab Emirates' state-owned oil company ADNOC has also reported extensive losses, saying 18 of its vessels were attacked, leaving one crew member dead and 20 injured.
Despite the danger, the U.S. operation has helped prevent an even greater disruption to global oil supplies.
Shipping analyst Michelle Wiese Bockmann described the southern corridor as a surprising success, saying the route has remained operational despite repeated attacks.
The protection effort is costly, however.
U.S. forces must maintain a persistent defensive presence while operating within range of Iranian missiles.
The Navy has about 20 warships in the Gulf of Oman.
The strain on American forces is significant. After Iranian attacks damaged the Navy's base in Bahrain, supply vessels have had to travel to Diego Garcia, a British territory in the Indian Ocean, adding more than five days of travel each way.
The operation has not restored shipping to prewar levels.
Many major shipping companies continue to avoid the Strait of Hormuz until a lasting cease-fire is reached.
Still, the U.S. Navy's quietly coordinated tanker protection has allowed millions of barrels of oil to escape the Persian Gulf each day, helping limit the threat of another major global oil-price shock.

Federal records show personal information on Freedom Convoy supporters was circulated to thousands of private companies and financial institutions.
New federal records show the Trudeau government’s blacklist of Freedom Convoy sympathizers was circulated to between 1,000 and 2,000 brokerages and other firms, with no restriction on further distribution.
The blacklist was also shared with up to 50 financial institutions, industry groups and regulators, which could then distribute the information to their members.

The U.S. Embassy is cracking down on “visa fixers” selling supposedly faster U.S. visa appointments to applicants in Canada, with some operators asking for access to applicants’ accounts.

Disturbing ritual by Pagans and Bishops in preparation for Pope Leo
Pope Leo XIV's upcoming Peru visit was prepared by the pagan Pachamama ritual. A senior Vatican official participated in the ritual alongside two Catholic bishops.

US intelligence sources reveal that the ongoing war with Iran serves as a pretext to obtain exotic or alien technology hidden in a massive limestone cave in the Zagros mountain range. The site holds conical translucent stalactites that glow red permanently and create an impenetrable force field.
The cave was reportedly discovered in 1983 during the Iran-Iraq War. An Iraqi platoon entered a cave and hit the glowing barrier. Trapped and surrounded by IRGC upon retreat, the Iraqis were k----d. Iranian teams sent to investigate met the same invisible shield.

For decades officials have cited Iran’s nuclear program as the threat. New details suggest this serves as cover for the true goal of securing advanced technology.
In early April US forces rescued a downed F-15 crew after intense operations. The pilot was recovered quickly while the weapons officer required an overnight special operations mission. At the same time Special Forces and Kurdish guides raided a nearby IRGC site to seize research data on orders to recover it by any means.
The guide proved to be an IRGC mole and called for help. Special Forces k----d him at once. Heavy fighting followed in which two American soldiers died. Four Iranian scientists were found executed at close range to prevent capture, and laptop screens had been shot to ruin the data.
A helicopter evacuated the unit before more IRGC arrived. The recovered data value is unknown, as is the Red Ice origin. If this war masks a tech seizure the United States has spent over 200 billion dollars on what may be history’s biggest conspiracy.
