The Don Valley Parkway is now closed in both directions from Bayview/Bloor to the Gardiner as waters from the Don River have flooded into the roadway.

3 kinds of Peace

Let us be careful when we pray for peace.  There are 3 kinds of peace:

 

1. Peace which the world offers:  from money, food, entertainment, family, friends etc.

2. Peace which politics and law dictates:  forced down from above.  

3. Peace which passes all understanding: from Christ who severs your relationship to everything and everyone in the world, bringing you to dwell in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

 

To obtain #3. it starts with Grace.  "Grace is the root, and peace is the fruit."

 

Grace starts with a careful observation of scripture.  For instance, Psalm 84 verse 11 can lead you in two different directions depending on which translation you are reading.  Pay close attention to the difference:

 

a)  

For the Lord loves mercy and truth: God will give grace and glory: the Lord will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence.

 

b)

For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

 

At first glance they both seem to say the same thing.  But wait. 

The former (a) describes no effort.  The latter (b) emphasizes effort.  How much easier and peaceful it is to let the Spirit of Love be what draws you and others to make changes.

I heard this one at Don Hill's Bible Study this morning.  It's a keeper.    

Do you tremble when God speaks? When was the last time you were physically affected by the reality that almighty God just spoke directly to you? John lost all physical strength when God spoke to him (Rev. 1:17); Paul fell to the ground when Christ met him on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:4); Moses trembled when God spoke to him (Acts 7:32); and Peter, when he realized who Jesus was, “fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ‘Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”? (Luke 5:8).


Have you lost your sense of awe that the Creator still chooses to speak to you, His creation? Do you approach the reading of your Bible with a holy expectation, listening for the life-changing words that God has for you that day? Scripture says that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Prov. 9:10). There are things you will see and hear out of your fear and reverence for God that you will not experience in any other way.


As you study your Bible, you may sense that God has something to say directly to you through the verses you are reading. Take a moment to consider the awesome reality that the God who spoke and created a universe is now speaking to you. If Jesus could speak and raise the dead, calm a storm, cast out demons, and heal the incurable, then what effect might a word from Him have upon your life? The possibilities should cause you to tremble! The next time you open God’s Word, do so with a sense of holy expectation.

What they did NOT “allegedly” report is early Linqto founders helped 13,000+ Linqto customers in over 120 nations collectively grow their investments by ~5x – to well over $2 Billion dollars, through customer investments in one of the most prestigious, high quality, modern era FinTech, AI, Digital Asset Infrastructure and Space Exploration portfolios in history.


The press release supplies no aggregate loss calculation, no customer-by-customer damages schedule, no present valuation of the underlying securities, and no explanation reconciling its “real financial harm” declaration with a portfolio reportedly worth more than $2 billion.
