Elon Musk dissolves Twitter board he called 'a waste of time,' becomes sole Director and 'Complaint Hotline Operator':
Elon Musk has dissolved Twitter's board of directors, eliminating all remaining administrative obstacles to the realization of his plans for the social media giant. This comes just days after Musk was reportedly looking at axing "around 50%" of Twitter's staff — a claim the African billionaire has denied.
Cleaning house
In April, Twitter announced that Musk, who had then taken a 9.2% stake in Twitter, would be appointed to its 11-person board. Musk refused to join.
Former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal issued a statement on April 10 saying that Musk's decision not to join the board"is for the best" and that Musk "has to act in the best interests of the company and all our shareholders."
Instead of joining the board, which Musk said was "a waste of time," the African billionaire elected to eliminate it altogether.
Twitter announced on Monday in a Securities and Exchanges Commission filing that Musk, having finalized his $44 billion acquisition on Oct. 27, had become "the sole director of Twitter."
The Wall Street Journal reported that the terms of the purchase agreement made clear this was Musk's intention all along.
Musk had already fired the top three Twitter executives — Agrawal, former chief financial officer Ned Segal, and former top legal and policy executive Vijaya Gadde — within hours of acquiring the company.
Now, Agrawal, board director Bret Taylor, and all other previous members of Twitter's board are off and out.
Although the board is defunct, Musk is not entirely done with it. He indicated that he may soon reveal the nature of certain members' apparent obstructionism and hostility, tweeting, "Stay tuned."
Although the board and certain senior executives are gone, Musk is not done cleaning house.
The New York Times reported that Musk and his advisers met with top managers at Twitter's San Francisco headquarters last week, ascertaining what each team and division does, ostensibly looking for efficiencies. Managers were allegedly asked for lists of their "top performers."
TheBlaze reported that as of Nov. 1, Twitter employees are scheduled to receive stock grants as part of their compensation. Subsequent terminations may therefore cost Musk a great deal in grants.
Extra to possibly purging redundancies, Musk is considering other Twitter reformations.
Big changes
Musk changed his Twitter bio to reflect the seriousness of his new assumed responsibilities. Whereas previously he referred to himself as "Chief Twit," Musk has now assumed the unofficial title of "Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator."
The so-called complaint hotline operator announced that Twitter will establish "a content moderation council."
The council will allegedly be composed of persons with "diverse viewpoints."
Musk has entertained the possibility of having celebrities, reporters, and others with some modicum of notoriety pay for their blue-checkmark verification statuses.
This proposal has been met by significant opposition, largely from well-off media elites. For instance, multimillionaire storybook writer Stephen King (whose estimated value is $500 million) threatened to leave the platform if required to pay a monthly fee.
Musk responded: "We need to pay the bills somehow! Twitter cannot rely entirely on advertisers."
Twitter co-founder reaffirms support for Musk
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has been a consistent supporter of Musk's acquisition, tweeting in April that "Elon is the singular solution I trust." [The BLAZE Media]
Biden Votes Early and Compares Himself to Fetterman:
Joe Biden voted in Delaware during early voting over the weekend with his 18-year-old granddaughter Natalie Biden, daughter of Beau, who was also making her debut vote.
Although Biden has criticized Georgia over the law on elections which they adopted last year, claiming the law was “Jim Crow on steroids,” Georgia has more chances to cast a vote than Delaware. There's a difference as they are voting — both need to present proof of identity. It appears that they are both signed too.
If one's ID is considered racist like the one that Democrats have claimed, what is the reason for this taking place in Joe Biden's home state, and why isn't he opposing it? It's commonplace in Delaware as well as across the nation, and many other places across the globe. It's only Democrats who are trying to create an absurd claim that the requirement of identification is a form of suppression. They only target states that are red on this issue. This shows how insensitive Joe Biden was in his critique of Georgia.
Natalie,18 years old, was thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in the vote for the very first time. Joe Biden put a sticker on her chest that indicated she voted. Joe Biden then kissed her. The kiss received lots of responses via social networks.
Biden has made remarks which we've already written about on the Pelosi attack as well as blaming those who question elections, declaring that this kind of “talk” must stop. Perhaps he should talk to Hillary Clinton who just declared that the Republicans had plans to take over the 2024 election.
Now let’s take note of his praise for John Fetterman's ability to debate.
Biden claimed that Fetterman was “really good, thought he knew what he was doing, thought he was strong,” but none of that is the case. “He's my kind of guy,” Biden declared. “You know where he stands…He's just getting better and better.”
The problem lies in the fact that Fetterman can be described as “his kind of guy.” They both have cognitive problems, though with different causes. They shouldn't be running for office or looking for other positions because of this. It is unclear the exact position Fetterman is on an issue because Fetterman isn't able to articulate any position. He's flipped and told lies about his beliefs the same way as Joe Biden. Both have policies that are a disaster and have greatly hurt those they claim to represent. Fetterman should be focused on getting better, and Biden should be retiring. Instead, the Democrats have placed both in these positions, and it's very shameful.

Before Hockey Canada faced scrutiny for using player registration fees to settle sexual assault claims, it was asked to be more transparent about its finances, and not to keep its records from the public.

Ontario schools asking kids about their sexuality, gender identity:
Right now, in every school board across Ontario, students are being asked to divulge their sexual interests and their gender identity.
On orders of the Ontario government, every school board in Ontario has to gather and report data on their students through a questionnaire called the Student Census.
Through the Student Census, children in elementary school are being asked to choose:
whether they are a boy, girl,
1. “gender fluid”,
2. “gender nonconforming”,
3. “non-binary”,
4. “questioning”,
5. “trans boy or man”,
6. “trans girl or woman”, or
7. “two-spirit”.
Additionally, in grade 7 and above, school boards start asking students if they are:
1. straight,
2. lesbian,
3. gay,
4. bisexual,
5. two-spirit,
6. queer,
7. questioning,
8. asexual,
9. pansexual, or
10. “other”.
Doug Ford’s government is pushing harmful gender ideology down the throats of children in schools all across Ontario! We must demand that the Ontario government, especially the Ministry of Education, acknowledge the harm they’ve done to parents and students through the Student Census and cease collecting this data about students!
Links to these surveys are displayed on the front pages of many school board websites across Ontario, such as the Toronto District School Board, Durham District School Board, and even Catholic school boards like the Halton Catholic District School Board.

As if this wasn’t bad enough, according to Upper Grand District School Board’s website, this survey that children are filling in is not anonymous (though they claim it is confidential).
Schools in Ontario are required by Ontario’s Education Equity Action Plan and Anti-Racism Act, 2017 to gather and report this data. In other words, the Ontario government has created a system where:
· This is a disastrous system that should leave parents worried.
· Gender ideology has no place in schools, and
· we should not be asking young children if their “gender fluid” or
· keeping files of which teenage students are “queer” or “questioning”.
· Ontario’s Ministry of Education must also recognize that this Student Census is a form of compelled speech. adults infecting the minds of children at a very young age with gender ideology
· these children are then questioned about their gender and/or sexuality
· this information is collected non-anonymously, where it can hypothetically be tied back to the student
For instance, Catholic schools must survey children on their gender identity. The Catholic Church has always held the belief that humans are made either male or female (see: section 2393 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church).
By forcing Catholic school boards (as left-wing as many of them may now be) to give validity to gender fluidity, transgenderism, and two-spirit (which is explicitly tied to Indigenous religious spirituality), the Ontario government is forcing Catholic schools to contradict their own teaching.
Through the Student Census, the Ontario government has radically invaded schools with harmful gender ideology, and it seems to be for practically no purpose other than to collect a bit more data about students. According to Halton Catholic District School Board’s website, the overall point of the survey is to “eliminate systemic racism and advance racial equity”...what do any of these questions have to do with systemic racism?
We need to put the government in its place and tell them to let kids be kids. The Ontario government is breaking the trust of parents and creating an unsafe system that is harmful to students. Parents send their children to school to learn about math, art, and science - not about queerness, asexuality, and transgenderism.

Biden says, 'let me give you the facts.' Then Twitter fact-checks his misleading claim that bashes corporations:
President Joe Biden tried to give Americans "the facts" about how the Inflation Reduction Act stops big corporations from skirting tax laws.
But he was quickly fact-checked by Twitter for pushing a misleading claim.
What did Biden claim?
On Friday, the president claimed that 55 corporations that earned over $40 billion in revenue in 2020 failed to pay taxes, a problem the Inflation Reduction Act allegedly rectifies.
"Let me give you the facts. In 2020, 55 corporations made $40 billion. And they paid zero in federal taxes," Biden wrote on Twitter. "My Inflation Reduction Act puts an end to this."
The Inflation Reduction Act — which does not actually reduce inflation — imposes a minimum 15% tax on companies that, on average, earn more than $1 billion per year. According to Bloomberg Tax, the provision is "designed to prevent the largest corporations from exploiting tax loopholes that allow them to pay little or no federal income tax."
Moreover, the Joint Committee on Taxation estimated that only 150 companies will be subjected to the tax.
What did Twitter do?
Twitter included a fact-check on Biden's tweet added by members of Birdwatch, the platform's "community-based approach to misinformation."
The information blurb pointed out, "Out of the 55 corporations the tweet references, only 14 had earnings greater than $1 billion and would be eligible under Biden's tax law." [The BLAZE Media]
