Progressive Democrat Rona Kaufman Endorses Trump Over Harris:
Rona Kaufman, a self-identified progressive feminist and Democrat, has thrown her support behind Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, citing dissatisfaction with the current administration’s handling of recent terror attacks and antisemitism.
Breitbart reported that Kaufman, who has previously been critical of Donald Trump, publicly changed her political allegiance due to her frustrations with the Biden-Harris administration.
Her shift was prompted by the administration's perceived inadequacies in dealing with the October 7 terror attack and their overall foreign policy stance.
In an op-ed for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Kaufman detailed her reasons for endorsing Trump, sparking considerable discussion both locally and nationally. The op-ed, titled "Why I, a progressive feminist Democrat, am voting for Donald Trump," challenges her party's current policies and approach.
Context of Kaufman’s Discontent
Kaufman’s criticisms focus on what she perceives as a lack of moral clarity from Democrats in response to the war Israel is facing and the broader threats posed by Islamist ideology. She argues that the Republican Party’s stance is more aligned with her views on foreign policy, especially regarding Iran and Israel.

A Shift in Jewish Voter Sentiments
Traditionally, Jewish voters in the U.S. have leaned Democratic, but Kaufman’s shift may reflect a broader trend among Jewish voters who prioritize Israel's security and the fight against antisemitism.

Phyllis Chesler, another prominent Jewish feminist, has also voiced dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party’s response to recent events, highlighting a potential shift in the political landscape.
Kaufman expressed her disillusionment in her own words: "After witnessing the horrors of Oct. 7 and realizing that too many Democratic Party elected officials and constituents lack the moral clarity to respond effectively, I have decided to vote Republican."
"I am voting for the party that is more likely to contain Iran and remind it and its terror proxies that America will defeat their threats to democracy and freedom; more likely to support Israel in its defensive, existential war; and more likely to protect civil rights by punishing unlawful acts of violence and antisemitic harassment on college campuses," she added.
Kaufman further clarified her stance against the Democratic Party: "I am not voting for the party that chooses appeasement as its foreign policy. I am not voting for the party that took no definitive action as antisemitic violence raged on college campuses across the United States."
As the election draws nearer, both parties will likely address these issues more directly, aiming to secure and perhaps sway voters who may still be undecided.

Donald Trump selected Michigan’s crucial Kent County as the final stop of his 2024 campaign, delivering a late-night closing argument in Grand Rapids just hours before Election Day, while state Democrats described themselves as “nauseously optimistic”.
“With your vote tomorrow we can fix every single problem our country faces and lead America to new heights of glory,” the three-time Republican nominee promised a roaring crowd packed in the city’s Van Andel Arena, which holds about 12,000 people.
Trump described Grand Rapids as a “special place” before launching into a criticism of his Democratic challenger, Vice-President Kamala Harris, calling her a “radical left lunatic” and claiming that “everything’s a disaster” under President Joe Biden.
In both 2016 and 2020, Trump wrapped up his White House campaigns with late-night rallies in Grand Rapids, Michigan’s second-largest city, that stretched into the early hours of Election Day.
“I kept saying we have to finish off here … we can be a little superstitious, right?” Trump joked with his supporters during his 2020 rally.
But data shows that it is not just superstition that keeps Trump returning to Grand Rapids on the eve of elections, but a strategic move with eyes on Michigan’s crucial swing votes.
Polls close at 8pm ET on Tuesday. About 75 million of roughly 240 million eligible voters in the US have already cast their ballots. The latest national average from polling aggregation website FiveThirtyEight shows Harris with a slim one-point lead.
In this neck-and-neck race – Michigan with 15 electoral college votes – is one of the most unpredictable and prized battleground states.
Trump narrowly won there in 2016 against Hillary Clinton by just 10,704 votes, or 0.23 percentage points. However, in 2020, he lost Michigan to Democrat Joe Biden by a larger margin of 154,188 votes, or three percentage points.
While swing states often dominate the spotlight in a presidential election, campaigns also turn their attention to smaller regions that can tip the balance in a tight race – like Kent County, the fourth-largest in Michigan.
About 30 per cent of Kent County’s nearly 600,000 residents live in Grand Rapids and more than 80 per cent are non-Hispanic white.
Historically a Republican stronghold in the state’s western region and once the home of former president Gerald Ford, recent trends show a shift towards Democratic support.
In 2016, Trump narrowly won the county by 9,487 votes. But in 2020 it flipped for Biden, who defeated his rival by 22,174 votes. Biden’s 52 per cent of the vote, compared to Trump’s 48 per cent against Clinton, marked a significant shift in the local political landscape.
“It’s interesting that they also lost support among Republicans,” said Polly Diven, a professor with Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, who also noted that “more people were not willing to re-elect Donald Trump [in 2020]”.
Bill Ballenger, a former Republican lawmaker and founder of Inside Michigan Politics, said the Grand Old Party traditionally appealed to educated, high-income, business-oriented suburbanites who were fiscally conservative but moderate on social issues.
Today, the Republican party has shifted to attract more blue-collar, working-class voters, while Democrats have gained support from affluent suburbanites who once leaned Republican, he said.
“Kent County traditionally was a very Republican county, but they never really felt comfortable with Donald Trump” on cultural and social issues, according to Ballenger, who added that it was “kind of surprising” that he narrowly carried the county in 2016.
Biden’s victory in 2020 was “more symbolic” of the present-day political leanings of Kent County, said Ballenger, who described Grand Rapids as “solidly blue”.
A Suffolk University survey published on October 30 showed Harris ahead in Kent County by one percentage point – at 47.3 per cent compared to Trump’s 46.3 per cent.
Josh Ferguson, a trans woman and the field director for Kent County Democrats, said that when Trump took the “party more in that culture war direction … it kind of left a lot of those voters behind” and made the area “more competitive”.
More than 3 million of Michigan’s over 7 million registered voters have already cast early or postal votes. In Kent County, over 96,000 voters voted early in person.
County clerk Lisa Posthumus Lyons is hoping for a turnout similar to 2020, when 72 per cent of the electorate took part. “If we get 72 to 75 per cent turnout, there are still a lot of voters who need to come out,” she said.
State Democrats in Kent County spent the final hours of the campaign focused on mobilising undecided voters and those who had yet to cast their ballots. Among them was Richard Williamson, who spent Monday afternoon door knocking in Grand Rapids.
Williamson, who is also running for a seat on the local school board, was not only seeking support for his own campaign, but also asking residents if they planned to vote in the presidential election and which candidate they preferred.
The South China Morning Post accompanied Williamson in a Grand Rapids neighbourhood as he knocked on 20 or so doors in about half an hour. Most residents said they planned to vote for Harris. Some added that it was about choosing the “lesser evil” as they did not particularly like either candidate.
Rising prices remain the top concern for Kent County voters, mirroring statewide polls. Other key issues like abortion rights, immigration, and the war in Gaza are also critical topics on the ballot.
Williamson, 27, said he had knocked on thousands of doors since August and he remains “nauseously optimistic” about the presidential race.
“We can fixate on the polling and how they’re neck and neck and all that but really, what it comes down to is there’s more energy for Harris this year than I’ve seen for any Democratic candidate since I’ve been alive,” he said.
Williamson added that people did not like “this idea of some guy coming in and being a dictator”.
According to John Fitzgerald, who is running to keep his state Senate seat on a Democratic ticket, Trump’s final rally in Grand Rapids “will make a difference, but I don’t think it will be enough”.

Trump Campaign Issues Emergency Memo Hours Before Election Day:
Several significant concerns for Democrats in urban and female turnout—two groups that are generally seen as crucial to a Democrat victory on Tuesday—were outlined in a recently made public Trump-Vance campaign letter.
“With Early Voting closed and Election Day on the horizon, Democrats are facing a massive turnout deficit. In every single battleground state, we see President Trump and Republicans outperforming elections past in absentee ballots and early votes cast,” reads the memo, which was sent by RNC Chief Data Consultant Tim Saler to senior members of the Trump-Vance Campaign. “As we dive deeper into the data, Democrats are facing a precipitous decline in urban turnout according to their own ‘data experts’ and we are tracking an uptick in rural turnout.”
Jim Messina, the former Obama campaign manager, said in an MSNBC interview that “the early vote numbers are a little scary” for Democrats, according to the document. Mr. Messina is downplaying the fact that Democrats find them much more frightening.
President Donald J. Trump leads by 16 points (56-40) among those who intend to vote on election day, according to NBC News. There are no assurances that Americans will support Vice President Harris on Election Day, according to David Axelrod, Obama’s chief campaign adviser and CNN political analyst, the letter adds.
“Democrats are spinning themselves and reporters by claiming that their voters will turn out on Election Day when polls show otherwise and, most importantly, that’s asking Democrat voters to do something they have absolutely no history of doing. If Democrats, who historically vote ahead of Election Day, haven’t been motivated to show up for Kamala yet, why do we expect them to show up tomorrow?”
Following that, the document references swing state polling data from TargetSmart’s Democrat data guru Tom Bonier, which shows dismal numbers for Democrats in each battleground state.
In Arizona, where urban turnout is down 385,285 ballots from the previous election, the data are most noticeable. Compared to 2020, female turnout is down 170,011 votes, while rural turnout is up 14,124 ballots.
In Michigan and Pennsylvania, urban turnout has also decreased by over 300,000 ballots, while female turnout has decreased by over 200,000 votes in Michigan and an incredible 450,802 votes in Pennsylvania.

According to the RealClearPolitics polling average, the former president is still leading in Georgia, Arizona, and North Carolina. If current polling continues, Vice President Harris would need to win the presidency by sweeping the Rust Belt states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, barring any unexpected outcomes.

As noted in the October 18th, 2024 Freedom Forum post, “Canada's Government Media Funding Strategy is a Total Failure,” the Justin Trudeau Liberal government has set up a complicated series of tax credits and grants which essentially covers most of the journalism related activities for legacy media content creators in Canada, even when those content creators are foreign based.
The tax credits and grants provide hundreds of millions of dollars annually to mostly legacy media outlets.
It covers 1/2 to 2/3 the salary of pretty much every legacy media journalist in the country but depends on working for an organization certified as a “qualified Canadian journalism organization (QCJO) under Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) rules.
The CRA designation allows accredited news outlets to receive salary support for journalists plus allows the news outlets subscribers to receive tax credits up to $500 CDN for taking out subscriptions to the news service.
But not all media outlets are allowed to claim the funding.
Justice McDonald didn’t say which “journalistic processes” were inconsistent with publishers and journalist directly soliciting funds from readership.
Media publishers, self publishers/journalists and their subscription offices are typically required to develop competence in financing and accounting.
The logic behind this court finding, since its based on the internal CRA report, is also unavailable for public scrutiny.

According to a report from “Richard’s Substack,” the tsunami of death as a result of the shots will be soon followed by mass destruction of the economy.

He reported troubling results of a cross-sectional survey of 468 Canadian healthcare workers examining the impact of COVID-19 vaccination decisions and the impacts of vaccine mandates. Some of the results:
Ø 75% of respondents that received the COVID-19 vaccine reported that the reason for taking the injectable product was employer vaccine mandates.
Ø Only 22% of vaccinated respondents reported no adverse events.
Ø 74.6% reported anxiety and/or depression and 18.3% the reported experiencing suicidal thoughts due to employer vaccination requirements
Ø 42.5% reported an intention to leave their occupation or the healthcare industry as a result of their experience with vaccine mandates
Ø 59% of respondents reported that they were not provided by anyone with any written information about the vaccines, necessary for informed consent
Ø only 2.4% of respondents were provided with the package insert from the vaccine manufacturer.
Ø only 16.1% of vaccinated respondents reported being happy with their choice to get vaccinated, whereas 92.6% of unvaccinated respondents reported being happy with their decision to not get vaccinated
Furthermore, 70.3% observed differential treatment of patients based on their vaccine status
only 4.1% report that they are confident that the current healthcare system will provide adequate and quality care while respecting personal preferences and values
