Exploiting RFID Vulnerabilities in Credit Cards [This ARTICLE is worth READING!]

Abstract—The use of credit card Paypass payment systems is utilised in majority vendors globally. It provides convenience of payment using magnetic coupling to implement a communication link for purchases, without the liability of carrying around physical money, which was implemented as an option to bypass credit card fraud. By implementing RFID-enabled computer chips into physical credit cards and bank cards, a form of security is needed to protect the emitting information from the RFID chip. In this paper, we focus on the exploits in RFID enabled credit cards, current issues in securing credit card technology and new authentication technologies that are aimed to help combat the security floors, which are being investigated.

Index Terms — authentication, encryption, exploit, PayPass, near-field communication, radio-frequency identification.

Canada, U.S. work to stop spread of Silicon Valley Bank crisis:

Canada’s banking regulator is increasing its monitoring of domestic banks’ financial health as the fallout from Silicon Valley Bank’s failure ripples through markets, even after U.S. leaders introduced rare measures designed to avoid repeating the run on deposits that toppled the tech-lending leader.

The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions took control of SVB’s Canadian operations on Sunday, and yesterday the regulator took steps to begin daily check-ins with banks that will enable it to monitor their liquidity, according to two sources with knowledge of the decision.

Facing acute fears of contagion in the U.S. financial sector, President Joe Biden pledged yesterday to do “whatever is needed” to shore up the American financial system and provide stability for depositors.

Another banking crisis has struck the USA. Federal authorities seized multiple banks on Friday and during the weekend. The most prominent of the bank failures was Silicon Valley Bank. It required a massive government bailout over the weekend to prevent market chaos on Monday morning. What were SVB executives doing prior to the crash? They were mismanaging the bank while, at the same time, throwing vast sums of bank money to leftist organizations and start-up corporations that were pushing woke policies and agenda goals.

Despite Silicon Valley Bank’s failure, the bank’s executive leadership has spent considerable time spearheading multiple woke initiatives. They focused on issues including climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, and Environmental, Social, and Governance policies (ESG).


One of the executives that led SVB’s woke agenda was Jay Ersapah, who is the head of financial risk management for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She organized a series of initiatives, including a month-long Pride campaign and implemented ‘safe space’ catch-ups for staff. She was listed as a top 100 LGTBQ Future Leader by Professional network Outstanding, and her bio states that she is an ally of the gay rights charity Stonewall.


According to the Professional network Outstanding website, she is an 'associate of gay rights charity Stonewall and was instrumental in initiating the bank’s first-ever global “safe space catch-up.” She has been a key leader in SVB’s LGBTQ+ employee resource groups and has authored numerous articles on sexual harassment and gender identity.


During her time at SVB, she spearheaded the bank’s efforts to promote LGBT+ and was involved in launching the bank’s first global LGBTQ+ “safe space” and “coming out stories” program.

Michigan Supreme Court examining rule-change regarding preferred pronouns:

The Michigan Supreme Court is on the verge of making itself the laughingstock of the nation with a rule change that would empower the woke people who insist on being called their preferred pronouns.

According to The Daily Wire, the state's highest court sent out a notice revealing that it was considering a change to an existing rule that would make it so preferred pronouns would be required in speech and in writing.

"Parties and attorneys may … include any personal pronouns in the name section of the caption, and courts are required to use those personal pronouns when referring to or identifying the party or attorney, either verbally or in writing," the rule notice stated.

The possible rule change news quickly spread, and reportedly over a dozen attorneys and judges have expressed free speech concerns over such a change.


William R. Bloomfield, general counsel for the Diocese of Lansing, issued an eight-page response to the possibility of the rule change, laying out a clear-cut case as to why it would be a violation of the First Amendment.

"In brief, requiring courts, i.e., judges, to use a person’s own designated personal pronouns is an unconstitutional violation of free speech and free exercise of religion," Bloomfield wrote.

He added, "And as vital as the interest in free speech is for ordinary citizens, or groups of citizens, it is perhaps even more important for judges to be free of any compulsory speech."


Timothy Denney, a religious liberty attorney, echoed the same First Amendment violation concerns.

"The Michigan Supreme Court’s proposed rule to force judges to use attorney’s preferred pronouns violates the First Amendment," Denney said. "The First Amendment prohibits government from compelling public officials to make statements contrary to their beliefs."

Boston mayor Michelle Wu accused of racially discriminating against white business owners:

Michelle Wu, the Democratic mayor of Boston, is being sued for racially discriminating against white business owners, the Daily Wire reported. Wu is accused of imposing fees on restaurants only in a predominantly Italian-American neighborhood.

'It is commonly known that the traditional owner of a restaurant in the North End of Boston is a white male of Italian descent, and the North End is generally regarded (as) the last true ethnic Boston Italian neighborhood," the lawsuit states. "The Plaintiffs had a right to be treated the same as other restaurants in the City who were granted outdoor dining and not singled out to pay fees … to have outdoor dining because of their sex or national origin/ethnicity as appears in this case."


The plaintiffs include restaurant owners Carla Gomes, Patrick Mendoza, Jorge Mendoza-Iturralde, and Jason and Kim Silvestri, who operate in the city's North End. They are seeking $1 million in punitive damages and $500,000 in actual compensation.


The group of restaurant owners said in their lawsuit that Wu targeted them for a $7,500 outdoor dining fee. Wu claimed she imposed these fees to account for trash disposal and traffic problems in the historic section of the city.

The group's earlier lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the rule filed in October was thrown out by a judge. The pushback was enough to prompt Wu to back off somewhat after receiving criticism, and she carved out a loophole for exemptions.


Still, no other neighborhood was subject to such a fee, which gives the plaintiffs a strong case that it was a racist policy. It's not only this aspect that gives credence to their argument.

Last year, Wu made a blatantly anti-white statement during the city's annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast. During her first term, Wu received resistance from the Boston First Responders United union and others over her COVID-19 vaccine mandates, according to the Daily Caller.


She scoffed when protesters turned up at her home and took her opportunity at the breakfast to slander the people involved. "This past winter was pretty intense: trial by snow, trial by firefighters' union," Wu began with the setup.

"I’m getting used to dealing with problems that are expensive, disruptive and white. I’m talking about snowflakes, I mean, snowstorms, snowflakes."


Although she often portrays herself as an advocate for the downtrodden, Wu is a social justice warrior intent on further fueling the fires of racial division. Last year, she apologized for Boston's role in the slave trade, NBC News reported.


She also put together a task force exploring reparations for those touched by the practice. The city announced the formation of the Reparations Task Force last month, which will figure out how much of taxpayers' money should be redistributed.


"For 400 years, the brutal practice of enslavement and recent policies like redlining, the busing crisis and exclusion from city contracting have denied Black Americans pathways to build generational wealth, secure stable housing and live freely," Wu said. "Our administration remains committed to tackling long-standing racial inequities and this task force is the next step in our commitment as a city to advance racial justice and build a Boston for everyone."


Like all of these good-on-paper proposals, this is another government heist that fosters dependency on the people they purport to help. Nobody knows how exactly reparations would be administered or what that would entail, especially since every person ever involved in slave trading are long dead and buried.

Wu is the worst kind of race hustler there is as she uses her bully pulpit to impose her discriminatory policies. Moreover, Wu is allegedly actively racist -- and no matter what color the victims are, this just isn't right.

Wu’s comments about “white” problems came shortly after a joke about her rocky start as mayor and the battle with a Boston firefighter’s union and others pushing back against her decision to require the COVID-19 vaccine for the city.
