Tucker Carlson’s Pro-Russian Stance Endangers America, Dick Morris Says:
Vladimir Putin is desperate.
And so is Tucker Carlson.
Anyone who caught his Fox News monologue Thursday night could see it firsthand.
Carlson appears to have a lot invested in Russia winning its war against Ukraine.
But Russia is losing that war… [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
And badly.
Ukraine’s counteroffensive is taking huge swaths of territory back; in just weeks Ukraine’s military took back more than 3,000 square miles that Russia had occupied… [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
Putin is now panicking.
So much so that last week he announced he would mobilize 300,000 reservists.
Numerous reports show that his current deployments of troops are so poorly supplied with arms and even basics like food and clothing, they are literally fleeing the battlefield… [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
Russia is a very corrupt nation.
In fact, it is the most corrupt nation in Europe. (Putin’s generals are said to be stealing their own supplies to sell them on the black market.)… [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
Russia is also a dictatorship and a threat to democracy.
It is an existential threat to America and our allies, as Putin again claimed last week, he may use nuclear weapons.
This time, he said, he wasn’t bluffing.
Carlson isn’t bluffing either.
He really is invested in Russia winning this war, even if it’s losing right before our very eyes… [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
Before the war started Carlson said he would side with Russia if there was ever a war.
He even applauded as Russia moved troops to the Ukraine border. Russia was justified, he claimed.
And since Russia’s February 2024 unprovokedattack on a free, democratic, and sovereign Ukraine, he has used every opportunity to oppose Ukraine… [What about the 33 BIO-Labs in Ukraine funded by the USA?]
And he does so oftentimes with exaggerated claims and phony allegations.
During the Cold War, Soviet apologists would often cite facts and claims from Pravda, as if they were really true… [Oh! Like our Mainstream Media today?]
Today, Carlson recites Russian talking points with the same sort of zeal.
Putin really likes Carlson for doing so.
Newsweek reported that Carlson’s Fox video from last week is even being shown on Russian state media to bolster Putin’s war efforts.
What did Russia like so much about Carlson?
On Fox Carlson claimed Russia was just too big to fail. (He ignored mentioning Ukraine’s huge pushback of Russian troops and battlefield wins.)
Instead, he started his show saying mighty Russia would still defeat little Ukraine.
Carlson said Russia had a mighty population, a mighty army, a mighty economy, and he said, "it’s the largest country on planet Earth" (which refers only to its land mass, most of which is not even inhabited).
The fact is Russia’s economy is a joke, on par with the GDP of Mexico or Italy (and that was before the economic sanctions).
Another joke is Russia’s military, being torn to pieces by Ukraine as we speak… … [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
Still, Russia has nuclear weapons and Putin is not bluffing, Carlson insisted.
Usually, Americans don’t give in to nuclear blackmail.
Carlson thinks that’s a good thing. I believe it would have disastrous consequences.
Fortunately, almost all Republicans and Democrats in Washington agree with that view, as do almost all of our allies across Europe.
But Carlson insists Ukraine should immediately sue for peace.
And if they don’t do that, he wants the U.S. to cut all funding for Ukraine to bring them to the negotiation table.
So let me get this straight:

They weren’t joining NATO… [What about the 33 BIO-Labs in Ukraine funded by the USA?]

And then Russia begins mass slaughtering Ukraine’s citizens — women and children — and begins burning to death captured POWs, putting Ukrainians in concentrations camps, raping and pillaging them — and Ukraine is the one we should stop funding and demand they negotiate?
Why cut the funding and arm shipments when Russia is in retreat?
It makes no sense unless you really want Russia to win… [That is what the CABAL wants you to believe]
Now Carlson almost mocks the idea Russia should be opposed. "OK, Russia is bad," he says with a snarl.
His nonsensical rants — which rarely criticize Russia and never mention their incredible atrocities — make numerous exaggerated claims… [What about the 33 BIO-Labs in Ukraine funded by the USA?]
Take, for example, Carlson’s claim last week that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants a nuclear first strike on Russia.
Carlson’s source for this unbelievable claim? An anonymous quote by an unnamed "aide" who said if Russia "thinks" of using nuclear weapons, the U.S. should strike them first with nuclear weapons.
This is hardly the policy of Zelenskyy, despite Carlson’s repeated claims it is.
Only in Carlson's demented world could Putin announce he may use nuclear weapons on TV, but it’s really Zelenskyy who wants to use them first.
Carlson’s other claim, made Thursday and many times before, is that President Joe Biden and Democrats in Washington really want a war with Russia to force "regime change" in Moscow, to remove and punish Putin for electing Trump president in 2016.
These bizarre conspiracy theories are odd, but perhaps they resonate with some… [They do resonate with some and Biden and Dems do want a War with Russia]
They don’t resonate with former President Donald Trump. He thinks Biden has shown weakness and acquiescence with Putin.
Soon after becoming president, Biden removed Trump’s sanctions on Russia that held up the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany.
It was Biden’s gift to Putin, not an act of war.
And after the war started, Biden was slow to help Ukraine. He even suggested Zelenskyy flee his country.
I have many issues with Biden, but the idea he is seeking to engage Russia in a major war is simply not true.
But the facts just don’t matter to Tucker Carlson… [How does Morris know what Carlson THINKS?]
He’s on a mission.
The U.S. should continue to support the underdog, Ukraine. The U.S. supports Taiwan and Israel, both small nations facing giant adversaries.
And our resolve with Ukraine is already paying big dividends… [And what might that be? Russia is not affected by the SANCTIONS]
China is clearly reluctant now to invade Taiwan, and Iran has to think twice about striking Israel or other U.S. allies.
Fortunately, we are not giving in to Putin’s blackmail… [So, why is USA funding BIO-Labs all over the Globe].
And as long as good sense prevails, we never will.

The economic impact of a massive post-tropical storm that wreaked havoc across much of Atlantic Canada is still being tallied, but as residents, hydro crews and soldiers continued their cleanup efforts, the scale of the devastation was staggering.
Widespread power outages persisted yesterday in the communities that were hardest hit as the storm, called Fiona, tore across the region over the weekend. Some hospitals were running on generators, while cell service remained unavailable, and people faced long lineups for gasoline. Many residents were forced to stay home because roads were still impassable. They tried to remove uprooted trees from their properties and repair damaged roofs and windows.

Europe to become economic wasteland as industry dies and banks fail:
Europe's economy, currencies and industries are in free fall, plunging toward "economic wasteland" status that's less than a year away if natural gas supplies from Russia aren't quickly restored.
The situation is so dire that Germany chemical giant BASF -- formerly part of the Nazi-run IG Farben chemical conglomerate that carried out war crimes against humanity -- is now threatening to shut down operations for industrial plants that have run continuously since the 1960s.
BASF is critical to the world's supply chain for fertilizer, petroleum refining, medicines, plastics, consumer products, industrial materials and more. If BASF were to go down, Western Europe's industrial economy would rapidly collapse into ruin, and the global supply chain crisis would dramatically worsen far beyond anything we saw due to covid lockdowns.
Astonishingly, BASF warns that if it were to shutter operations, no one knows whether it could be restarted. This means a permanent shutdown of industry across Europe.
Banking failures, agricultural collapse and an industrial wipeout look to be imminent,and some analysts are warning that Europe will face at minimum three winters without energy, food and industry.

Conservatives open seven-point lead over Liberals as past PPC voters migrate to Poilievre:
35 per cent of Canadians view Pierre Poilievre favourably, 40 per cent approve of Trudeau’s performance
September 27, 2022 – The ascendance of Pierre Poilievre as leader of the Conservatives is giving his party an advantage in vote intent over the Liberals not seen in more than three years.
Since the 2019 election, the two parties have been locked in what has mostly amounted to a statistical tie in national vote intention – generally driven by the rise and fall the fortunes of the Trudeau government in the moment rather than momentum for the Conservatives.
Now the opposition party – which last month elected its third leader in as many years – is pulling together a right-of-centre base that includes not only its own supporters but those who turned out for the People’s Party in the 2021 general election.
The result is now a seven-point lead in vote intention for the Conservatives, according to new data from the non-profit Angus Reid Institute. Three-quarters of those who supported the PPC in the last federal election (5% of Canadians voted for the PPC) say they would now support the CPC.
Overall, three-in-ten Canadians say they would vote Liberal, while one-in-five would vote for the NDP.
In terms of leadership, the Liberals’ Justin Trudeau and Poilievre have strengths and weaknesses they will need to buttress or overcome. Poilievre is seen as best to lead on a number of key issues including managing the federal deficit, economic growth, and the cost of living. Meanwhile, Trudeau is the preferred choice to steward Canada’s place on the world stage, the nation’s social safety net, climate change policy, and health care.
In terms of the personal appeal of Trudeau and Poilievre, there is an emerging gender dynamic at play. Women are far more likely to approve of Trudeau’s performance (47% vs 32%). When asked about Poilievre, 45 per cent of men view him favourably, compared to just 26 per cent of women. This extends to vote intention. The CPC is the top choice among all male age groups and no female age groups. Women younger than 35 prefer the NDP, while those older than 34 prefer the Liberals.
More Key Findings:
Three-in-five believe cost of living is a top issue facing Canada, outpacing health care (45%), climate change (28%), housing affordability (27%) and the economy more broadly (21%).
The last time the gap in vote intent between the CPC and Liberals was this large in ARI tracking was 2019.
Among decided and leaning voters, nearly half (47%) of men say they intend to vote CPC if an election were held today. Support for the CPC is much lower among women: 28 per cent.

The Other Side of the Story in Ukraine:
At the end of 1942, when the Wehrmacht could advance no further east, Hitler switched German ground forces from an “enemy force-oriented” strategy to a “ground-holding” strategy. Hitler demanded that his armies defend vast, largely empty and irrelevant stretches of Soviet territory.
“Holding ground” not only robbed the German military of its ability to exercise operational discretion, and, above all, to outmaneuver the slow, methodical Soviet opponent; holding ground also pushed German logistics to the breaking point. When holding ground was combined with endless counterattacks to retake useless territory, the Wehrmacht was sentenced to slow, grinding destruction.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, (presumably with the advice of his U.S. and British military advisors), has also adopted a strategy of holding ground in Eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian forces immobilized themselves inside urban areas, and prepared defenses. As a result, Ukrainian forces turned urban centers into fortifications for what became “last stands.” Sensible withdrawals from cities like Mariupol that might have saved many of Ukraine’s best troops were forbidden. Russian forces responded by methodically isolating and crushing the defenders left with no possibility of either escape or rescue by other Ukrainian forces.
Moscow’s determination to destroy Ukrainian forces at the least cost to Russian lives prevailed. Ukrainian casualties were always heavier than reported from the moment Russian troops crossed into Eastern Ukraine, but now, thanks to the recent failure of Ukrainian counterattacks in the Kherson region, they’ve reached horrific levels that are impossible to conceal. Casualty rates have reached 20,000 killed or wounded a month.
Despite the addition of 126 howitzers, 800,000 rounds of artillery rounds, and HIMARS (U.S. rocket artillery), months of hard fighting are eroding the foundations of Ukraine’s ground strength. In the face of this disaster, Zelensky continues to order counterattacks to re-take territory as a means of demonstrating that Ukraine’s strategic position vis-à-vis Russia is not as hopeless as it seems.
The recent Ukrainian advance to the town of Izium, the link between Donbas and Kharkiv, seemed like a gift to Kiev. U.S. satellite arrays undoubtedly provided Ukrainians with a real-time picture of the area showing that Russian forces west of Izium numbered less than 2,000 light troops (the equivalent of paramilitary police, e.g., SWAT and airborne infantry).
The Russian command opted to withdraw its small force from the area that is roughly 1 percent of formerly Ukrainian territory currently under Russian control. However, the price for Kiev’s propaganda victory was high—depending on the source, an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded in a flat, open area that Russian artillery, rockets, and air strikes turned into a killing field.
Given Washington’s inability to end the war in Ukraine with the defeat of Russian arms, it seems certain that the Beltway will try instead to turn the ruins of the Ukrainian state into an open wound in Russia’s side that will never heal. From the beginning, the problem with this approach was that Russia always had the resources to dramatically escalate the fighting and end the fighting in Ukraine on very harsh terms. Escalation is now in progress.
In a public statement that should not surprise anyone, President Putin announced the partial mobilization of 300,000 reservists. Many of these men will replace regular Russian Army forces in other parts of Russia and release them for operations in Ukraine. Other reservists will augment the Russian units already committed in Eastern Ukraine. [Patrick Bestall]
