“You are the light of the world”
Jesus’ words to His followers are as compelling as they are convicting. As lights, we are to keep burning, keep warning, and keep illuminating, much like an eternal flame. In this age of spiritual darkness and danger, we must continuously shine for the Lord until we go home to be with Him, or He comes for His church.
A story is told of an aged English lighthouse keeper who remained faithful to his calling until the end. While the fiercest of gales raged outside, he climbed the staircase to trim the lamplight one last time. Lamp lit, his life was failing fast, yet he summoned every last bit of strength to secure the lighthouse door before dying. Although the keeper died that stormy night, the lighthouse’s beam shone brightly all around, saving the lives of mariners who were steered clear of the shoreline’s rocky danger.
As the keeper was, so should we be—ever vigilant to keep our lights aglow for Jesus for those all around us to see. At your job or among your friends, are you known as a light? Or are you not known or seen because there is no light in you? Believer, multitudes of people are lost. Arise from the fog surrounding you, lest you contribute to their disaster. Become a light and a beacon to the lost, a protector against the rocks, shoals, and quicksand that lie beneath the surface of life.

A deleted Edmonton police post has renewed concerns about the line between hate speech and lawful expression.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s warning against policing “hurt feelings” is back in the spotlight after Edmonton police deleted a controversial post urging Albertans to report so-called “online hate.”
The now deleted post declared, “You typed it. Someone loved it.”
It added: “Online hate isn’t ‘just a comment.’ It hurts real people and harms real communities. Hate has no home here,” while encouraging Albertans to report online content.
The post sparked criticism from free speech advocates, who argued police appeared to blur the line between offensive expression and criminal hate speech.

Todd Blanche clears Judiciary Committee hurdle on party lines [big Win for TRUMP]
Todd Blanche took a major step toward confirmation as attorney general Tuesday after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 12-10 on party lines to advance his nomination, likely setting up a final vote within days.
His nomination, at risk of being withdrawn just last week, now appears to be on a glide path toward approval. Blanche has been serving as acting attorney general since April, but President Donald Trump has been intent on installing his former personal lawyer permanently.
Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said ahead of the vote that Cornyn and Tillis’ concerns about the fund “and the IRS settlement were shared by many, including this senator.” He added that the changes Blanche made “put this issue to bed once and for all.”
Democrats lambasted the deal Cornyn and Tillis struck, saying it would not meaningfully bind Trump from eventually resurrecting the payout fund and using his to enrich his political allies, including participants in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

In 2022, analysts inside Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada - Fraser’s own department, during his tenure as immigration minister - prepared an internal analysis for the department’s leadership as it built the 2023–2025 immigration targets.
The documents, pried loose through an access-to-information request, say it plainly: “In Canada, population growth has exceeded the growth in available housing units.” They go further, instructing that policy-makers “must understand the misalignment between population growth and housing supply.” That is not academic hedging. That is the professional civil service pulling the fire alarm.
On November 1, 2022, Minister Sean Fraser stood at a podium and announced the government’s answer to its own alarm: 500,000 permanent residents a year by 2025 - roughly double the intake of a decade earlier, stacked on top of temporary programs that were already swelling past a million people. The warning said the tub was overflowing. The minister’s answer was to open the tap. You know what happened next, because you paid for it. Rents that broke records. Lineups down the block for basement apartments.
And what happened to Sean Fraser? Here is where the story stops being a policy failure and becomes a portrait of how Ottawa actually works. In July 2023, Fraser was moved from immigration to a new job: Minister of Housing!

Shell Oil warning
Today is August 3, 2026 and for a full five months, I have been warning readers of this website and listeners to my talk-radio show, that we were heading into a massive shortage/outage of fuel. Specifically, I warned about Diesel and gasoline.
I attributed this coming disaster to the poorly-thought-out conflict with Iran, which closed the Strait of Hormuz, and thereby shut down about twenty percent (20%) of the world's DAILY oil needs.
Now, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shell Oil Company, Mr. Wael Sawan, (Image above) has publicly declared the world is now running short on both Diesel Fuel and Gasoline.

Hal Turner warned us: "I explained over and over that no fuel means no trucks to pick up food from farms or meat from ranches, and bring it to processing centers. Then, there's no trucks to bring the food from processing centers to distribution centers. Finally, no trucks to bring food from Distribution Centers to Supermarkets. Ergo, empty store shelves."
