Before we consider the verse before us, we must remember that in Ephesians 3:18, the apostle Paul prayed that believers would comprehend the width, length, depth, and height of the love of Christ. The outpouring of Christ’s love is of such incalculable dimensions that we should have great courage in every endeavor... He initiates.
We’ll brave risky activities like parachuting from an airplane for the thrill of it. Yet when it comes to eternal ventures, we pray, “O Lord, use me,” but draw back in fear. What we ought to do is pray and then jump! Jump to share the gospel, jump into ministry, and jump to serve others. “But I want Him to open the door first.” God doesn’t work that way. When you say to Him, “I’ll do whatever You say,” and start moving in that direction, the door will open.
Opportunities presented don’t mean that there won’t be opposition. In fact, expect Satan to muster his forces against you. “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9). But know this: If Jesus sets before you an open door, no power of earth or hell can shut it.
Jesus commended the Philadelphian church for three precious characteristics: they had a little power, kept Christ’s Word, and did not deny His name. If that is true of you today, expect God to open doors. What you must do is take advantage of the opportunities He provides.

Canada to increase the number of temporary foreign workers in rural regions
The Liberal government has chosen to prioritize foreign workers over Canadians, schools in Hamilton will apply an “anti-colonial lens” to graduation ceremonies, and more.
Despite youth unemployment hitting 14 per cent, the Liberal government has chosen to prioritize foreign workers over Canadians by increasing the number of temporary foreign workers rural businesses can hire.
The federal government announced Friday a decision to raise the temporary foreign worker cap to 15 per cent in rural areas, citing requests from provinces and territories. The new cap will be implemented at the start of next month and remain in place for at least a year.
Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), businesses must “demonstrate that genuine efforts to recruit Canadian workers were unsuccessful” and continue domestic recruitment while their application to hire low-wage migrants is reviewed.
Notably, Canada’s International Mobility Program does not require business owners to prove they have attempted to hire Canadians. Data from 2019 to 2023 suggests approvals for the International Mobility Program surged at a faster rate than the TFWP, ballooning by 126 per cent while TFWP rose by just 88 per cent.
Also on Friday, the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses released a statement supporting the new cap limits for the TFWP in rural areas. The statement claimed that over 52 per cent of small business owners who use the temporary foreign worker program say that it “protects Canadian jobs.”
The same day, Statistics Canada released its labour force survey, which states that Canada’s youth unemployment rate—a measure of people aged 15 to 24 actively looking for work but unable to find it—rose by 1.3 per cent in February to 14.1 per cent.
The report notes that the “increase brings the youth unemployment rate closer to the recent high of 14.6% reached in September 2025, which was the highest since 2010, excluding 2020 and 2021.”

How Identity‑Based Hiring and Procurement Turned “Equity” into Exclusion

Evidence of differential treatment between identifiable groups has become impossible to ignore, especially in London, Ontario. Political influence sharpened the divide. Buy Social Canada acts as a key partner and advisor in developing these social‑procurement practices.
The organization works directly with PSPC to shape policy and connect governments, corporations, and non‑profits with certified social enterprises. It also runs a national certification program and supplier directory used to identify those that meet pre‑approved social or environmental targets. Through PSPC’s Supplier Diversity Action Plan, Buy Social Canada assists in rolling out targeted education, coaching, and pilot projects such as the Black Business Procurement Pilot. What appears to be a partnership is in effect a national gatekeeping system that extends social procurement from Ottawa into every municipality.
In London, Ontario, these directives are no longer theoretical. All major city infrastructure projects — transit corridors, road expansions, the Adelaide underpass, and downtown redevelopments — now contain binding Community Benefit Agreements that mirror federal and provincial social‑procurement policies. Every contract feeds the same closed loop of certified vendors and non‑profits whose continued existence depends on demonstrating “equity outcomes” defined by the very frameworks they helped write.
CBAs also cemented the political partnership between the Liberals and the NDP.
The NDP secures unionized jobs and social outcomes through CBAs, while the Liberals use large public unionized worker’s defined benefit pension funds to bankroll the infrastructure projects that define their economic policy. CBAs became the functional tool of their supply‑and‑confidence agreement: the Liberals delivered “net‑zero infrastructure,” the NDP secured jobs and benefits for its base.
By 2022, the coalition was formalized under a public deal between the parties. Policy consolidation was complete.
At street level, the outcome was far less noble. City councils were bombarded by activist agencies demanding contract preferences for ever narrower groups, often defined by self‑identification or multi‑layered equity criteria. The only consistent beneficiaries were the agencies themselves — organizations paid to administer, monitor, and amplify their own social procurement programs.

During 2020 and 2021, cities across Canada aligned their recovery plans with UN agenda language: inclusion, diversity, and environmental sustainability. Digital infrastructure was reframed as “sustainable access.” Public‑private partnerships were pitched as “capacity‑building.” Data tracking for social services became a pillar of “resilience planning.” Behind each term sat the same core mechanism — grants tied to UN objectives and ideological compliance.
London was a central laboratory. The SDG Cities Project (2021) — a joint venture between Pillar Nonprofit Network and Guelph’s 10C Shared Space, funded by Employment and Social Development Canada — trained local agencies to adopt the UN framework. A wrongful‑dismissal claim filed by a former city manager alleged that diversity rhetoric had been used as a weapon against unfavored staff. Political candidates who disagreed with the city’s ideological posture found themselves publicly ostracized. Local media recycled the accusations without scrutiny, cementing a climate of fear where silence became the only safety. By 2021, London had turned the language of inclusion into an instrument of exclusion.
The philosophy underpinning it all was consistent: divide society into managers and managed, with moral superiority assigned to the curators of victimhood. Programs born to correct inequity now manufacture it, entrenching systems of privilege for the same agencies that preach equity. Inclusion has become the currency of careerism — a process where being useful to the narrative matters more than being useful to the public.
