Prayer for today… 12-04-2020
Holy YHWH, you are our sustenance and our only hope.
You are the food that nourishes the soul and the water that quenches a thirst that is greater than any bodily thirst.
You are the strength that fills our muscles and the encouragement that is sorely needed when we are almost spent.
You are the joy that bubbles up from the deepest parts of our being when sorrow is our first response.
You are the ONE who extends the hand of acceptance to us when we are fully aware of the filthy clothes and soul stains that cling to us like a foul odor.
You embrace us with a passion and a love that can’t be returned because our puny hearts are tainted and flawed.
You created us as astonishingly beautiful replicas of your glory when you placed man and woman in the garden. It is you who has kept the splendor of Eden’s loveliness alive in us and it is you who will resurrect us to the grandeur of the new Eden when Y’shua returns. What do we have to fear? Why do we rehash the folly of those who walk in darkness? What in us makes us hunger after the dirty little details and the schemings and machinations of those who practice their dark arts from seats of power?
You win.
That’s all we need to dwell on. You conquer. That’s what our minds and hearts should linger on. You will fulfill all your purposes in your perfect time using whomever you wish. Why do we need to follow anything the enemy is plotting? We have you as our sword and shield. Fix our eyes on the good things that are still part of this life Father—the good things authored by you. Give us wisdom and discernment so we don’t get so bogged down in darkness that we miss the opportunity to bathe in the light.
Ah Father! We worship you today because there is nothing else worth doing. All glory and blessing and power and majesty be unto your name forever. In Y’shua’s name and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Matthew 1:20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 12:17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood[a] on the sand of the sea.
