The Olivet Discourse – Part Six
The twenty-two letter Hebrew alphabet and the definitions of the letters shows us more about the Olivet Discourse. Let me insert a fact about the Hebrew alphabet. It has twenty-two letters, but because the original Hebrew documents were written without spaces between the words, five of the twenty-two letters have a final form. These specific letters mark the end of words where there is no other indication.
Matthew chapter twenty-four is the Olivet Discourse. The 24th letter, counting the final form of the letters, is the final form of the Hebrew letter mem, again indicating Matthew chapter twenty-four contains something “revealed and yet concealed”, just as the 13th letter, mem, normally does.
Mark chapter thirteen is also the Olivet Discourse. The 13th letter is the Hebrew letter mem, which means “revealed and concealed.” Certainly, there is much revealed and yet still concealed in Mark chapter thirteen.
Luke chapter twenty-one is Luke’s account of the Olivet Discourse. The 21st letter is the Hebrew letter shin, which indicates “divine provision.” Luke chapter twenty-one is all about the Lord’s provision for those who love Him.
There is one further difference in the Luke version of the Olivet Discourse. Matthew 24:14 and Mark 13:10 both speak of the Gospel being preached or published to all the world, and then the End will come. Matthew and Mark’s accounts, in which the Lord Jesus was speaking of the unbelieving Jews, report that the accomplishment of the spread of the Gospel will be a marker of end times.
Luke’s account of the Olivet Discourse, which I believe is directed to the Church, does not have an equivalent statement. I believe that this, again, is because the Church was given the command to preach the Gospel by the Lord Jesus, which it has done for centuries, and needs no such marker.
There is such wonderful depth to the Word of God. The Bible is a complex and complete document. It is not a mere collection of stories and myths. Praise the Lord for His Holy Word, and for the fact that He has protected it and provided it to us even after thousands of years! Praise the name of the Lord always.

He further encourages us to pray to disrupt the enemy’s plans, cautioning against aligning with darkness and instead advocating for speaking life into every difficult situation.

Universities: unplanned obsolescence
Back in 1960 I read the 1915 Communist Textbook on PsychoPolitics that contained a 50-year plan to destroy the West by infiltrating education, mental healthcare, media, science, and entertainment. Sex, drugs and rock'nroll would have created an unfixable "generation gap" - if it wasn't for the Jesus People revolution of the 70's which brought bible-carrying short-hairs and long-hairs like me together with renewed energy to change the world God's way, just like Charlie Kirk did with today's generation.
Another thing they didn't plan on was the obsolescence of our universities. They didn't expect to be replaced by AI in a top-heavy educational structure that is collapsing under its own weight burdened by a top-heavy bureaucratic cancer.

The most credentialed Americans are now about twice as likely to support political violence as the least credentialed. We've been told higher education makes people wiser and more intelligent. The university was supposed to push the boundaries of human thought and understanding. Except now it's doing the opposite, and it's doing it on purpose.
Just look at the staffing. Between 1975 and 2005, administrators grew by 240 percent while faculty grew by roughly 50. There are now significantly more managers than teachers. However, those teacher positions are becoming increasingly ideological. A survey of five thousand professors found communications and anthropology faculty sitting at 100 percent Democrat. Religion at 98.8, which is its own joke, atheists running the religion department. Even engineering, the most “balanced” field, was 61 percent left leaning.
The problem isn’t that students hear left-wing ideas. They always have, and always will. The problem is that the leftist worldview now gets presented as objective morality while disagreements are considered cruelty. The intolerance towards centrist or right-wing ideas is not some quirk, it is a strategy. A darling intellectual of the Left
conceptualized Repressive Tolerance. The idea was that real freedom means tolerating the left and refusing to tolerate the right. That program has been running on campuses for fifty years. Leading to a climate where 25 percent of sociology faculty openly call themselves Marxists and no one flinches.

He used the last day of his trip, June 12, to visit a center for the reception of migrants in Tenerife, making even clearer that support for migration into Europe was at the heart of his visit.
This support must have been welcome to Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who recently announced an amnesty program that will give residency status in Spain to 500,000 illegal immigrants.
Many people in Spain have concerns about the impact of this program on public safety, but Leo XIV made only negative allusions to those who oppose mass migration.
What Leo XIV refuses to see
Nirenberg points out that examples of “tolerance” that can be used to support the myth of convivencia can be countered by contrary acts of “intolerance.” For example:

This example is of particular interest in light of Leo XIV’s claim that there was an “attempt to create a space for contact, conversation and dialogue on the meaning of truth among Christians, Muslims and Jews.”
More recent revival of the myth of convivencia
In 2005 Jonathan Ray, professor of Jewish Studies in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Georgetown University, noted that “in recent years” the term convivencia:
(H)as been embraced and distorted by an ever-widening group of academics, journalists, and politicians, a phenomenon that increasingly challenges historians of medieval Spain. [15]
At the forefront of the popularization of convivencia was María Rosa Menocal’s book The Ornament of the World: How Muslims, Jews and Christians Created a Culture of Tolerance in Medieval Spain, which was published in 2002.
Menocal wrote that medieval Islamic Spain “had three principal and interlocking features which are at the heart of that culture’s extraordinarily vigorous well-being: ethnic pluralism, religious tolerance and a variety of forms of what we could call cultural secularism”. [16]
Historian Anna Akasoy noted that while Menocal’s book was very popular, “the reactions of specialists” were very different. Akasoy notes that “critical academic reception” was “sometimes unusually harsh.” [17]
Akasoy explains that “scholars of the medieval Iberian peninsula dismissed The Ornament of the World mainly because it perpetuates” the idea that Islamic Spain was a “historical utopia.”
Fernández-Morera suggests that:
(P)erhaps since the 18th-century Enlightenment the critical construction of a diverse, tolerant, and happy Islamic Spain has been part of an effort to sell a particular cultural agenda. [19]
He continues:
In the past few decades, this ideological mission has morphed into “presentism,” an academically sponsored effort to narrate the past in terms of the present and thereby reinterpret it to serve contemporary “multicultural,” “diversity,” and “peace” studies, which necessitate rejecting as retrograde, chauvinistic, or, worse, “conservative” any view of the past that may conflict with the progressive agenda. [20]
Leo XIV’s speeches in Spain reflect this same “presentist” approach. He distorts history, like he distorts theology, in the service of the liberal order.
Against Leo’s tireless distortions of the truth, we must stand as firm as the Catholics of Spain once stood against the Islamic aggressor.
