SPIRITUAL:
Sharing Jesus in Northern Nigeria
If you’ve been watching the news, you know Christians are being severely persecuted in northern Nigeria. The situation is appalling. Our friends at RevelationMedia are now reaching out to Muslims in northern Nigeria with the love of Christ, and they need your help. Please read their special message below.
—Not the Bee

I’ve been to northern Nigeria and met men, women, and children who have lost loved ones at the hands of Islamic extremism. I visited one Christian village where every woman and child were killed, by machete, during a night raid. The Muslims attacked while the men were away working.
I interviewed a 10-year-old child whose father died in her arms after being shot by an extremist who opened fire during their church service.
I have been reluctant to write about Nigeria as we didn’t have a specific ministry outreach with “boots on the ground.” I have been praying, “Lord, what should we do?”
Then this week, I received an urgent call from our friends at The Bucket Ministry: “Can you send five of your solar-powered I BIBLE tablets, right away, for Nigeria?”

The Bucket Ministry workers deliver water filters to families in Nigeria.
Of course, my answer was “YES!” And when I spoke with them, I learned they are reaching out to poor villages with water filters, and they want to use the tablets and The Real Story of Jesus to share Jesus with each household.
Then I learned more exciting news. The majority of those they are sharing Jesus with are Muslims.
There are many ways to combat hatred in Nigeria. Those attacking Christians should be arrested. More police are needed. But we can also combat hatred with the love of Christ!
The Bucket Ministry offers water filters to any family regardless of their religious belief. Then, when they hand out the filters and follow up, they share Christ using our short video The Real Story of Jesus.
Many have already turned away from Islam to Jesus! And for these families, it could mean they are the ones now being persecuted or even killed.

The Bucket Ministry offers both water filters and the message of salvation through Jesus.
God has answered my prayer, and this is exactly what we want to do in northern Nigeria. We want to equip every worker of The Bucket Ministry with a solar-powered iBIBLE tablet. Even these workers are taking a great risk.
The immediate request is to equip five workers in Nigeria. I am sure more will follow, but today you can help sponsor these five. We will be sending them out this week with The Real Story of Jesus and other content in the Hausa language installed (the primary language of northern Nigeria). Our short video explaining salvation will be shown to thousands of Muslim families.
Any donation will help, and a complete solar-powered i BIBLE tablet kit can be sponsored for $900.
The immediate request is to equip five workers in Nigeria.
If you’re like me, you have been heartbroken by the news coming out of Nigeria. The ongoing persecution of our brothers and sisters in northern Nigeria is one of the worst in the world. And if you’re like me, you want to help.
I’m thankful God answered my prayer. Of course, there is a lots that needs to be done and there are great ministries serving in Nigeria. And today we will add RevelationMedia to that list with our i Bible tablets to show Muslims there is a better way.

We will combat hatred with the love of Christ!
Please be praying for these five workers who will receive the I BIBLE tablets. And pray for those being persecuted in northern Nigeria. And thank you for partnering with us today in this outreach!
Have a very blessed Sunday!

Is Taking On Chemicals in Food?

By Jeff Louderback |
BROOKFIELD, Vt.—Six generations of John Klar’s family farmed in the Green Mountains of Vermont, yet he had never baled hay or raised animals.
But in the late 1990s, spurred by chronic illness, he left his law firm, returned with his wife and children to the countryside of his youth, and bought a family farm.
Fast-forward a couple of decades, and his life took another unanticipated turn, this time spurred by a run-in with a meat inspector over a Craigslist posting. Drawing on his legal background, the former tax attorney became an advocate for small farms and regenerative agriculture, and he is now heavily involved in the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement.
“I didn’t plan to be a farmer, but the more I farmed, the more I saw that something was really smelling rotten in this industry,” Klar told The Epoch Times.
“Big Ag and the federal government pump a lot of money into processed food, most of which is made from the same base products: ingredients from corn and soy. They’re devoid of nutritional value, and they are filled with toxins.”
Klar said those entities have made farmers dependent on chemicals.
“[The chemicals] are destroying our soils, our water, and our health,” he said.
Today, Klar raises grass-fed organic beef and raises lamb using regenerative farming practices. That means rotational grazing, less reliance on conventional livestock feed methods, reduced tillable acreage, manure in place of synthetic fertilizers, and reduced soil erosion and water waste.
Klar is the author of “Small Farm Republic” and an upcoming book, “The War on Farmers: How Corporations, Activists, and Climate Alarmists Are Fueling a Global Food Crisis.” He works with the nonprofit MAHA Action, and he ran for governor as a Republican in 2020.
As a boy, Klar was surrounded by family members who operated dairy farms. He had no plans to enter the profession until he developed disabling pain in 1998. He later realized his fibromyalgia symptoms were triggered by chronic Lyme disease.
“It crippled me. When the muscle flares [from fibromyalgia] hit me, I couldn’t get off the floor, let alone go to the gym or hike mountains,” Klar said.
The stress and long hours of operating a law practice escalated his discomfort, Klar said.
“I found the less I moved, the more I hurt,” he said.

He and his wife, Jacqui, were already raising two children, and a third was on the way.
“I said to my wife, ‘You know, my whole life, I’ve been living where the money is,’” Klar said.
“‘Whatever else happens, if I’m going to be sick, at least let’s go to Vermont. That’s where my heart is.’”
The couple bought a former dairy farm in Barton, Vermont, and built an artisanal raw milk and cheese facility.
“It might seem strange that a man who was suffering from debilitating pain would leave a sedentary job for a strenuous one, but I felt that I needed to be active to better deal with the pain,” he said.
Klar started with chickens, then added on—ultimately tending four draft horses, 40 pigs, 70 milking goats, 100 sheep, and 20-odd beef and dairy cows. To locals, he became known as “Old McDonald.”
Self-sufficiency became a pursuit of its own, he said.
“Jacqui and I would play a game of seeing how many weeks we could go without visiting the grocery store, a tradition we learned was practiced by many Vermont farmers for generations,” he said.
After a couple of relocations, in 2016, they settled on their current property in Brookfield, where Klar is surrounded by farmland that his mother’s family worked for generations.
That’s also when Klar began his journey into advocacy.
Halves of Beef and a Victory
At the time, he was advertising halves of beef on Craigslist.
One day, he recalled, a car pulled into his driveway and out stepped a Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets meat inspector.
“He lectured me how selling this meat was illegal; that I could only sell whole animals and not halves. He said I could sell by live weight and not by hanging weight,” Klar said.
Klar had never had a customer who wanted to buy an entire cow, he said, because of the cost and storage required.
The encounter left Klar furious and motivated.
“I told Jacqui that most small farmers can’t afford to hire a lawyer to fight something
like this, and most lawyers wouldn’t understand farming like a farmer himself,” he said.

He refused to comply.
Instead, he called a news conference on the farm and announced that he was going to keep selling halves of beef. He said that proposed health and safety laws “were an unconstitutional farce.”
“I challenged them to arrest me so I could prove in court the laws were unconstitutional,” he said.
Klar then gathered a group of farmers, slaughterhouse operators, and custom processors to attend a Vermont state Senate agriculture committee hearing and testify against proposed legislation on farm slaughter restrictions.
They won, securing a repeal that meant farmers were able to sell halves and quarters legally.
That was the beginning of his fight for small farmers, he said, and it also gave him a clearer purpose in his own farming.
“I now sell my own animals so that I can fight for other people to keep theirs and to make it more economically viable for them,” he said.
“It’s not just the right to have an animal, but it’s also to work on removing regulations and subsidies that favour the big guys and put the small farms out of operation.”
When Klar ran for governor in 2020, farming was the center of his campaign against incumbent Gov. Phil Scott.
He touted a plan to cut taxes and regulations for farmers, which he said would have far-reaching benefits for the rest of the state’s economy. Klar detailed his plan in a document that he called the Vermont Farming Manifesto.
He eventually dropped out of the race but continued his advocacy.
In “The War on Farmers,” to be published early next year, Klar details how every year, more family farms are vanishing, replaced by corporate giants and imported products.
He said he believes that the U.S. food supply is becoming a tool of control.
“If Americans don’t stand up for their farms, they surrender control over their most basic human need,” he said...

What would Canada's dead soldiers say?

How ironic that on Remembrance Day, the London Free Press published this story (I'm just getting caught up).
Where are all the anti-war protesters today?
London’s military giant may cash in on Canada’s investment in new defence hardware.

Ottawa will boost defence spending to a level not seen in about 50 years, and armoured vehicles are near the top of the shopping list, which could be good news for General Dynamics Land Systems Canada.
“This is a significant injection of funding. If I were in London, I would be happy to see this,” said David Perry, chief executive of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.
The federal government, in its recent budget, took the wraps off the largest year-over-year increase in federal defence spending since 1951, he said.

Budget omits climate strategy costs!

Canadians wondering how much Prime Minister Mark Carney’s “climate competitiveness strategy” is going to cost them will have to keep waiting.
Given that Liberal climate-change programs have cost taxpayers more than $200 billion to date, or almost $5,000 for every Canadian, it’s time for some answers.
Despite billing his climate competitiveness strategy as “a central pillar of the government’s plan to become the strongest economy in the G7,” Carney’s budget devoted only nine of 406 pages to the topic, which were mainly a statement of future intentions.
When he announced his climate-change strategy while running for the Liberal leadership in January, Carney said its key component — beyond cancelling the Trudeau government’s consumer carbon tax — was to “improve and tighten the output-based pricing system for large emitters (a.k.a. the industrial carbon tax) to ensure carbon markets function properly.”

Lots of Positive News. But it's "over there".

While we are fed a diet of upsetting developments and fearful possibilities in the news, Russia enjoys stability and equanimity in its healthy homes, churches, schools, and streets, always projecting success for its people and its allies.
Even mental illness is not seen as a threat, but welcomed as an opportunity for improvement, peace and rest:

Pro-Israel vs Replaced Israel
Are genuine Christians inherently Jewish? I would first ask, "Were righteous Old Testament Jews inherently Christian?"

[LINK added by DB]
Both have the same God, and so our personal experience ends up the same. Christians have worshiped God just as Moses, Abraham, King David and Solomon and the prophets did. The patriarchs of the Old Testament and our Christian forefathers both spoke with the same Divine Wisdom. We all fought evil men with the same sword, and received the same Joy from deep prayer and meditating on His Magnificence.
BUT, some might argue, the church [small C] is quite different from the faith of the Jews. And in this respect, they are only partly right. There are five definitions of the church founded by Jesus (six if you include the Heavenly Jerusalem to come with Jesus' Second Coming). Let us look at each definition and see if we can find it in the Old Testament.
1. CHURCH IS A SHEEPFOLD. Jesus is our Shepherd. Jesus, the Word, made the world and was also Shepherd when God walked in human form with Adam and Eve, when the Lord appeared to Abram in Genesis 18, and when the "angel" of the Lord [a living image of God] made a promise to Hagar in Genesis 16, and when a figure "like a divine son" appeared to protect Shad-rack, Meshach and Abednego in the flaming furnace.
2. CHURCH IS A FAMILY. We call God our Father. The idea of God as Father was not conventional in the Old Testament, and it sometimes portrayed Him as a mother. Thus, the Hebrew tribes were family to each other and to God. They understood themselves to be sons [and daughters] of God. Adam and Eve were not separate creations but came from one person, and became one person as husband and wife ("the two shall become one" Mark 10:8-9). Ergo - family
3. CHURCH IS AN ARMY. The Holy Spirit is the Power. The Old Testament is full of examples of God's people winning battles just as the church has done over the centuries, although we are given the Sword of the Spirit to win battles supernaturally as well as physically. The teaching of Christians over the past two millennia has evolved and been sometimes inconsistent in this regard, but we always know we are at war with Satan and evil in mankind.
4. CHURCH IS A BRIDE. We prepare for the return of Jesus the Groom. The Jews have always looked forward to their Messiah, and he was also there for those to see him as a Lover in one of the books of the Old Testament, the Song of Songs. There is no difference between the love experienced by the writer of the Song of Songs and the love experienced by the saint who wrote the Flame of Love in the Middle Ages.
5. CHURCH AS COMMUNION. Christians unite in the vine when they celebrate the Eucharist. The Old Testament Jews were forbidden to drink blood, which was understood to have the life [virtues] of the person or animal. (Reminds me of how humans pick up some characteristics of organ donors.) Yet the Lord of the Old Testament did commune with his Chosen People, literally eat and drink with them, as with us. Read Exodus chapter 24.
9 Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel went up, 10 and they saw Israel’s God. Under God’s feet there was what looked like a floor of lapis-lazuli tiles, dazzlingly pure like the sky. 11 God didn’t harm the Israelite leaders, though they looked at God, and they ate and drank.
So, the answer to the question of how we Christians should identify with Israel is best answered by asking how the Chosen People might identify with his church. And the answer is clear, when we see that we are the same in character, but not in development. Since God came to earth as a human being, we Christians bear mature fruit, have everlasting gifts, and do greater things, but we all fall short of the glory destined for us in heaven.
A more important question would be, are all Christians really Christians, and are all Jews really Jews? Jesus told us there are wolves in sheep's clothing and tares that look like wheat. We must discern the real Israel and the real Church. We must expose those who claim to be believers though they are not, but strengthen those whose faith is weak, as little as a mustard seed, as broken as a bruised reed, or smouldering like a dying candle wick. That's who we must identify with.

Why are Chicken Legs cheap, but the rest of the chicken is Expensive?

Data obtained by the Agri-Food Analytics Lab reveal just how serious the situation became. Wholesale chicken breast prices climbed to $732 per 100 kilograms in late October 2025 — up $150 from last year, a new record. Even the whole-bird index hit $542, up more than $70 year over year.
Wholesale wing prices rose to $573, roughly 12% higher than last October, while leg prices — the only category not restricted by quota — actually dropped, underscoring how distorted the system has become.
So, they can butcher as many chickens as they want, but once they reach quota, they can only sell the legs and throw away the rest of the chicken? I want to be there.
