Thought(s) for the Day:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau have announced they are separating after being married for 18 years.

The former couple made the announcement in Instagram posts on Aug. 2.

"Sophie and I would like to share the fact that after many meaningful and and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate," they wrote.

"For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy."

Mr. Trudeau and Ms. Grégoire have three children between 9 and 15 years old. The Globe and Mail reports that the two are expected to have joint custody of the children, with Mr. Trudeau continuing to reside at Rideau Cottage while Ms. Grégoire has moved to a separate home in Ottawa.

The Prime Minister's Office released a separate statement saying the two have "worked to ensure that all legal and ethical steps with regards to their decision to separate have been taken, and will continue to do so moving forward," reported the Globe. “Both parents will be a constant presence in their children’s lives and Canadians can expect to often see the family together."

Ms. Grégoire Trudeau, 48, had been less visible around the prime minister in recent years, rarely travelling abroad with him. However, the two were seen together at Canada Day events last month. They also attended the King's coronation in London in May.

The two, who have known each other since childhood, married at a ceremony in Montreal in 2005.

Mr. Trudeau, 51, has previously opened up about "ups and downs" in the marriage.

“Our marriage isn’t perfect, and we have had difficult ups and downs, yet Sophie remains my best friend, my partner, my love,” he wrote in his 2014 memoir “Common Ground.” “We are honest with each other, even when it hurts.”

Ms. Grégoire Trudeau, a former television host, also shared about her married life in May last year around their wedding anniversary, saying, “You all know I keep things honest: long term relationships are challenging in so many ways.”

“Together for 19 years, married for 17, we have navigated through sunny days, heavy storms, and everything in between and it ain’t over,” she wrote on Instagram.

“None of us are perfect and so there is no perfect relationship, but love is only true when it keeps you safe, sets you free, and makes you grow.”

The prime minister's parents, Pierre-Elliott Trudeau and his wife Margaret, also separated while Mr. Trudeau Sr. was in office, in 1977. They later divorced in 1984.

Donald Trump Discovers Identities of Mar-a-Lago Witnesses Who Testified:

The case against mishandling of documents against former President Donald Trump has been called a “witch hunt.” Since other high government officials’ possession of documents has not been looked into, Trump has a point when he maintains that the 37 counts against him are politically motivated.

In July, a superseded indictment was unsealed revealing three additional felony offenses as part of the classified documents on top of the 37 that Trump has already pleaded not guilty to.

MSNBC reported that the new court filings from Smith’s office posted on Monday also revealed that federal prosecutors have now “disclosed all unclassified memorialization of witness interviews finalized by today’s date and all grand jury transcript” in the government’s possession.

At least two-dozen people, including Mar-a-Lago restaurant workers and at least one housekeeper, were previously reported to have testified to a federal grand jury as part of the classified documents case.

Now the identities of two previously unnamed Mar-a-Lago workers are revealed to Trump and his attorneys.

Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office said that included in the new evidence it has, there is additional CCTV footage from Mar-a-Lago Club. This had been obtained between May 9 and May 12, 2023, ahead of the upcoming trial. Smith has been well known to have a vendetta against the former President.

Specifically, it is alleged that Mar-a-Lago employee Carlos De Oliveira was called on to delete security-camera footage taken at the Florida resort, which had been sought by federal prosecutors.

Newsweek reports:

In the new unsealed indictment, a Mar-a-Lago worker only referred to as “employee 3”is alleged to have messaged Nauta on July 24, 2022—the same day that an attorney for Trump spoke with the former president regarding the subpoena for security-camera footage at Mar-a-Lago.

At 3:44 p.m., Nauta received a text message from Employee 3saying that Trump wanted to see Nauta. Under two hours later, Nauta, who was scheduled to go with Trump to Illinois the following day, began to make arrangements to go to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, instead, according to federal prosecutors.

Prior to Nauta’s trip, De Oliveira told a valet at Mar-a-Lago, Employee 5, that Nauta was on his way. De Oliveira allegedly asked Employee 5not to tell anyone that Nauta was coming down as the trip was meant to be a secret. De Oliveira also told Employee 5 that Nauta wanted De Oliveira to talk to Trump Employee 4—believed to be IT worker Yuscil Taveras— to see how long camera footage was stored at the Florida resort.

Employee 5 is also said to have assured Nauta that De Oliveira, who has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to obstruct justice and making false statements to the FBI over whether he helped Nauta move boxes of classified documents around Mar-a-Lago, will not be an issue for Trump in the classified documents case.

“Just over two weeks after the FBI discovered classified documents in the Storage Room and Trump’s office, on August 26, 2022, Nauta called Trump Employee 5 and said words to the effect of, ‘someone just wants to make sure Carlos is good,'” the superseded indictment said.

“In response, Trump Employee 5 told Nauta that De Oliveira was loyal and that De Oliveira would not do anything to affect his relationship with Trump.”

The identities of the two Mar-a-Lago workers have not been made public and they have not been charged in connection to the classified documents case.

The isolated statements obtained from employees and the fact that neither employee has been charged casts a suspicious light on the evidence.

Those who are upholding Smith’s case imply that Trump’s employees are a detail he has not factored in.

Former Pentagon Special Counsel Ryan Goodman said Smith’s team was hoping to obtain key information from those underneath the radar of the former president by seeking testimony from Mar-a-Lago staff. “They might be invisible to him. But they are the eyes and ears, and they can see things,” he said.

Goodman went on to cast the employees’ remarks in a light that seems grasping in the dark. “Or they can know things might even be somewhat rumored, but then they can at least give the investigators leads, so they can tell the investigators who is present in different conversations,” Goodman told CNN’s OutFront in March.

In a series of tweets, Lisa Rubin, an attorney and legal analyst for MSNBC, has Tweeted about the case. She wrote how the Department of Justice had provided the former president’s legal team, as well co-defendant Walt Nauta’s lawyers, with additional information to view in relation to the classified documents case.

In other words, if Trump & Nauta did not know who Trump Employees 3 and 5 were before today and/or the gist of what they told Smith's team, they do now. 3/

Trump has repeatedly declared innocence in the matter, and his answer to the whole scenario is posted:

“The crooked Election Interference “Thugs” from the DOJ, headed by the worst Thug of them all, Deranged Jack Smith are now admitting that the Mar-a-Lago Security Tapes were NOT DELETED. These guys should be prosecuted for MISCONDUCT.”

Trump Judge Worked at Law Firm That Hired Hunter Biden:

The federal judge overseeing the case involving former President Donald Trump's alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election previously worked at a law firm that once employed Hunter Biden.

U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan worked for 12 years at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP (BSF), specializing in white-collar litigation and antitrust defense.

Biden, whose foreign business dealings are being investigated by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability for alleged influence peddling, worked for BSF in 2014. In April of that year he was appointed to Ukrainian energy company Burisma's board, the Daily Caller reported.

Whistleblower Devon Archer told the House panel Monday that Hunter Biden used father Joe Biden, then vice president, on more than 20 phone calls during business meetings to promote the Biden brand.

Chutkan is the only federal D.C. judge who has sentenced Jan. 6 defendants to longer sentences than were requested by the government.

Chutkan has defended Black Lives Matter protesters, whose actions in the summer of 2020 after the death of George Floyd have been compared to those by people who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Chutkan said the comparison was a "false equivalency."

"People gathered all over the country last year to protest the violent murder by the police of an unarmed man. Some of those protesters became violent," Chutkan said in a hearing in October 2021, Politico reported.

"But to compare the actions of people protesting, mostly peacefully, for civil rights, to those of a violent mob seeking to overthrow the lawfully elected government, is a false equivalency and ignores a very real danger that the Jan. 6 riot posed to the foundation of our democracy."

Riots after Floyd's death in May 2020 resulted in several deaths and injuries, curfews in most cities across the country, and an estimated $1 billion to $2 billion in property damage, the Washington Examiner reported.

The Jan. 6 Capitol attack caused an estimated $2.73 million in damage, the death of one demonstrator, and injuries to several others.

Chutkan, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, was appointed by then-President Barack Obama to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in June 2014. Before that, she worked at other private-sector law firms and served as a public defender in Washington D.C., before joining BSF.

Chutkan graduated from George Washington University and the University of Pennsylvania law school.

Records indicate Chutkan was a donor to Obama and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., the Examiner reported.

Joe Biden blew a gasket when this environmental extremist greenscheme crumbled before his eyes:

Joe Biden is trying to force the country to switch to green energy.

His plan isn’t surviving its first contact with reality.

And Joe Biden blew a gasket when this environmental extremist green scheme crumbled before his eyes.

President Joe Biden is trying to phase out the use of gasoline-powered vehicles in favor of electric vehicles to combat climate change. He wants to force working-class Americans to buy electric vehicles as part of his “great transition” toward green energy.

But the switch from gasoline to electric is fraught with more problems than President Biden ever expected.

The country doesn’t currently have the electric charging station infrastructure needed to accommodate an immediate mass transition to electric vehicles, according to an industry expert.

Even with a new effort by seven automakers, including General Motors and Honda, to build more charging stations around the country.

BMW Group, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz Group, and Stellantis NV are working on a joint venture to build 30,000 new charging stations along highways and other public access points starting next summer.

The nation needs 182,000 charging stations by 2030 to meet the expected demand that will result from Democrat efforts to mandate that auto manufacturers exclusively produce electric vehicles by that year, but this new venture would only add one-third of what’s needed. Executive Analyst Karl Brauer told The Center Square that the biggest obstacle facing the adoption of electric vehicles is the lack of charging stations currently available.

“With government mandates looking to make EVs the dominant form of personal transportation, achieving more than 60 percent share over the next 10 years, a massive infrastructure investment is required if consumers are expected to replace their gasoline vehicles with electric-powered alternatives,” Brauer said. “Automakers have clearly recognized that investing in product alone won’t sell future EVs. We’re already seeing a stall in consumer demand, with electric vehicles piling up at dealer lots.” Electric vehicles are piling up at dealerships because divers don’t want to switch to these expensive, impractical options.

The cost of building new charging stations that rely exclusively on green energy is also a major sticking point, according to Brauer.

“Assuming Tesla and other existing electric vehicle charging networks continue to expand we could get closer to solving the infrastructure problem,” Brauer added. “But each of these fast chargers can cost $50,000 or more to install, and this joint effort claims it will utilize 100 percent renewable energy to power the new chargers, which can only mean higher costs for each unit.”

President Biden has set an ambitious goal of having half of all new vehicles sold to be electric by 2030.

Simultaneously, the Biden Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is rolling out the strictest-ever tailpipe emission standards for cars to be built between 2027 and 2032 that would make two-thirds of all new vehicles produced in America electric by 2032.

Working-class Americans are going to be forced to drive electric vehicles through government mandates, and the country doesn’t have nearly enough charging stations to meet demand.

Joe Biden is setting in motion a slow-rolling disaster that will deliver a punch in the gut to working-class Americans.

Witnesses Connect Joe Biden to Hunter’s Treasonous Crimes

Hunter Biden’s closest business colleague, Devon Archer, informed House investigators how Hunter Biden put then-Vice President Biden on speakerphone more than 20 times with business partners to market “the brand.”

One of those calls, according to testimony from Archer, was dinner in China alongside Jonathan Li from Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). Through Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a front firm, Hunter Biden and Archer kept their stakes in the business.

Archer declared in 2014, Joe Biden joined Hunter Biden and other businessmen for dinner at Café Milano in Washington, D.C. The event was also attended by Yelena Baturina, the wealthy ex-wife of Moscow’s longterm mayor.

On February 14, 2014, according to Republican investigators, Baturina deposited $3.5 million into Rosemont Seneca Thornton.

Russian billionaire Baturina is not included on the Biden Administration’s sanctions list, according to Breitbart News.

In 2014, when Burisma was being investigated for malfeasance, Hunter Biden and Archer both joined the company’s board of directors of the Ukrainian energy business. Hunter Biden received $83,000 per month to serve on the board of Burisma.

In addition, Archer said that in the month of December 2015, Mykola Zlochevsky, a co-owner of Burisma, and Vadym Pozharski, an official of the company, exerted pressure on Hunter Biden to seek assistance from Washington, D.C., in relation to Viktor Shokin, a Ukrainian prosecutor who was looking into Burisma for corruption.

While on an official trip to Ukraine in 2015, Joe Biden boasted about the dismissal of prosecutor Viktor Shokin years after that in 2018. He discussed Ukraine’s corruption with former President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv during his visit.

According to Archer, Hunter Biden “made a call to D.C.” together with Zlochevsky and Pozharski to discuss the legal position. Biden, Zlochevsky, and Pozharski stood aside to make the call.

James Comer (R-KY), chair of the House Oversight Committee, stated in a statement that “Devon Archer’s testimony today proves Joe Biden was lying to the American people when he claimed he had no awareness of his son’s business activities and wasn’t involved.”

“Why did Joe Biden misrepresent his family’s business activities and his role to the American people? What more may he be concealing from the American people,” he continued.

#1. The test of time: Communism:

They always start out full of wide-eyed idealism, but after a half year of living without competition and individual rewards, slackards rely on the ambitious to carry the weight and the ambitious get tired of doing most of the work. This experiment has been done in schools, Halloween parking lots, and even by the first settlers in America. Same results. Disillusioned and upset they give it up. Even the new Testament church that shared with the thousands of new converts needing food and lodging went back to private ownership after the destruction of the temple when believers dispersed.
