Thank you for your ongoing interest and engagement regarding C-9, the hate speech legislation, which could criminalize parts of the Bible as hate speech.

Here is the latest update.

• · Tuesday Evening: Liberals & Bloc joined together to pass a motion limiting debate on the bill.

• · Wednesday Evening: In a stunning 35-minute Justice Committee meeting, all debate was shut down.

• · Current: The bill will now return to the floor of the House of Commons, where it has been allotted one final day of debate before the final vote.

Originally, our sources indicated this would likely happen on Friday the 13th. However, it has not yet been posted, which makes it more likely the vote will happen during the week of the 23rd, especially since next week is a constituency week.

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?

It means we have more time—and that is good news!

If Canadians of many faiths continue to raise their voices next week when MPs are home—particularly in key battleground regions—this could still shift the outcome.

I want to point out that this is possible. Only 20–25 Liberal Members of Parliament would need to change their vote to stop the bill and keep protections intact for sincerely held faith beliefs.

It may be that the government is allowing this additional week to gauge how much public concern this issue may generate if they move forward.

What this tells us is that your pressure has been working—and we must keep it up.

Please consider reaching out to other faith leaders—including those in the Muslim, Sikh, and Jewish communities—particularly in cities (where most swing ridings are). If more voices get stronger, it could shift it and ensure these legislative trends stop.

Newsom blames Trump for gas prices while California's own policies push costs past $5 a gallon

California Governor Gavin Newsom took to X this week to blame President Trump for rising gas prices, posting that "Americans will pay $1.5 BILLION MORE at the gas pump just this week because of Donald Trump's war with Iran." The average price per gallon in California sits at $5.33, according to AAA. The national average is $3.57.

That's a gap of $1.76. And it has nothing to do with Iran.

The numbers Newsom doesn't want you to see

Steve Hilton, a Republican candidate for California governor, dismantled Newsom's framing on Fox News:

"He's blaming these insane gas prices in California, $5.49, $5.69, heading to $6, on the war in Iran. It's not the war in Iran, because in the rest of the country, they don't have $5.49, they have $3 gas."

The math is simple. If Trump's foreign policy were the primary driver, every state would be bleeding at the pump. They aren't. Washington state comes in second at $4.72. Hawaii sits at $4.69. California stands alone at the top, and the reason is homegrown. Fox News shares.

California's gas tax clocks in at 70 cents per gallon, the highest in the nation, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. That's before you layer on the state's climate regulations, refinery restrictions, and cap-and-trade costs. Hilton put it plainly:

"It's entirely because of Gavin Newsom's insane climate dogma that we have the highest gas taxes in the country."

The climate regime tightens its grip

While Newsom points fingers eastward, his own California Air Resources Board is preparing to squeeze the state's fuel supply even harder. The board is proposing to pull 118.3 million allowances out of the state's carbon market between 2027 and 2030, part of an aggressive push toward a 90% carbon reduction target by 2045.

Chevron President Andy Walz sounded the alarm in a letter to Newsom and state regulators, obtained by The California Globe:

"The proposed regulation will cripple the survivability of the state's remaining refineries, which will result in California losing the entire industry to this misguided program."

Walz warned that the regulation would:

• Spike gas prices by more than a dollar per gallon

• Risk the loss of more than half a million jobs, including high-paying union positions

• Reduce funding for essential public services

• Threaten critical energy and national security assets

"This regulation will increase transportation and aviation fuel prices for consumers. It will risk significant job losses, including many high-paying union jobs, while reducing funding for essential public services."

This is the state's own largest energy producer telling the governor, in writing, that his regulatory apparatus will destroy California's refining capacity. Newsom's response is to talk about Iran.

The deflection machine

When Fox News Digital reached out to Newsom's office for comment on Hilton's criticism, a spokesperson offered this:

"We don't know who Steve Hilton is, but Big Oil and their puppets are spending their time running a coordinated campaign to attack California, while Donald Trump's reckless Iran war has already cost Americans $1.5 billion in gas costs just this week alone — prices are up an average of 60 cents nationwide, not just in California."

Notice the sleight of hand. Newsom's team cites a 60-cent national increase as proof that Trump is to blame, while ignoring the nearly two-dollar premium Californians pay above the national average. A 60-cent increase applied equally to every state does not explain why California is an outlier. It explains why California's existing problem got slightly worse.

The spokesperson went further, insisting that critics should "direct that concern where it belongs: at Donald Trump." The governor's office wants every conversation about California's energy costs to end with someone else's name. That is not governance. That is a press strategy.

A national security problem with a Sacramento zip code

Tim Stewart, a spokesperson for the U.S. Oil & Gas Association, told Fox News Digital that California's dysfunction is no longer a local issue:

"California's gross mismanagement of its energy production and distribution economy is becoming a national security issue, and it now impacts all of us."

Stewart pointed to the cascading effects across western states, noting that "agriculture, manufacturing, housing, the financial system is all impacted." California's policies don't stay in California. Refinery closures in the state ripple through fuel supply chains that serve Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and beyond.

"It doesn't have to be this way, and Governor Newsom knows it. He also knows that no matter how hard he tries – he can't pin this on Trump or our industry. The public isn't buying it anymore."

Meanwhile, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum posted on X that California "continues to close refineries & drive up gas prices," while his department has approved over 6,000 drilling permits to advance the administration's energy agenda and lower gas prices nationwide. One government is opening the spigot. The other is welding it shut.

The presidential campaign that explains everything

Roxanne Hoge, chair of the Los Angeles County GOP, called Newsom's blame-shifting "a textbook case of projection, pointing fingers at others while his own record is riddled with mismanagement and failure." She added context that explains the governor's incentive structure:

"We all know that Gavin Newsom has moved on to campaigning for president in spite of his atrocious record at home."

This is the lens through which Newsom's behavior makes sense. A governor running for president cannot admit that 15 years of one-party Democratic rule, as Hilton described it, built the most expensive fuel market in the country. He cannot acknowledge that the policies he championed, the same ones he and Kamala Harris "endlessly" bragged about as "leading the world" on climate change, are the reason Californians pay a dollar-seventy-six more per gallon than the rest of America.

So he blames Trump. He blames Iran. He calls the oil industry "puppets" while his own regulators prepare to pull 118 million allowances out of the carbon market and drive prices even higher.

Hilton's solution was straightforward: suspend the gas tax. Newsom won't do it. Suspending the tax would mean admitting the tax is the problem, and admitting the problem is the one thing a future presidential candidate cannot afford to do.

Californians, meanwhile, are staring down $6 gas. They know exactly who built this.

Abdinajib Hassan Yussuf, the 27-year-old president and CEO of Star Autism Center LLC, pleaded guilty Monday to defrauding the state of Minnesota out of more than $6 million through bogus autism therapy claims. He founded the company in 2020 when he was just 22 years old. He ran it for about four years. And at his Monday plea hearing, he told the court he did not know any individuals with autism, according to KARE.

That last detail deserves a moment. A man who built a company supposedly providing "necessary one-on-one therapy to children with autism" admitted under oath that he didn't know a single person with the condition his business claimed to treat.

Yussuf now faces roughly five years in prison.

How the scheme worked

The Department of Justice charged Yussuf in December 2025 with making fraudulent Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) claims to the Minnesota government, Alpha News reported. Jesse Jackson Jr. stood before mourners at his father's memorial service on Saturday and delivered a rebuke that landed on three former presidents sitting in attendance.

Fox News reported that after hours of speeches from Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden, the younger Jackson told the crowd plainly that none of them truly knew his father.

"Yesterday I listened for several hours of three United States presidents who do not know Jesse Jackson."

The remark cut through the pageantry of what had become, by multiple accounts, less a celebration of the late civil rights leader's life and more a stage for Democratic political messaging.

Rev. Jesse Jackson, a two-time Democratic presidential candidate and founder of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, died at 84 on February 17 in Chicago. His son had one request: keep the politics out.

They couldn't do it.

A son's request, ignored

The day after his father's death, Jackson Jr. held a press conference. The message was direct. He asked that the memorial services honor his father's legacy, not serve as a vehicle for partisan grievance. He explicitly welcomed Americans of all political stripes.

"Do not bring your politics out of respect to Rev. Jesse Jackson, and the life that he lived, to these ongoing services. Come respectful, and come to say thank you. But these ongoing services are welcome to ALL—Democrat, Republican, liberal, and conservative. Right-wing, left-wing. Because his life is broad enough to cover the full spectrum of what it means to be an American."

That plea went unheeded. When Obama took the podium, he reportedly took aim at President Donald Trump, telling the audience that "every day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions."

Biden, speaking Friday, told mourners he is "a h--- of a lot smarter than most of you," recounting childhood ridicule over his stutter. The moment was supposed to belong to Jesse Jackson. It became about them.

The Democratic funeral circuit

This is a pattern so familiar it barely registers anymore. A prominent figure in Black American life passes away, and the Democratic establishment descends to deliver eulogies that double as stump speeches.

The attendee list in Chicago read like a DNC reunion: Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Al Sharpton, Gavin Newsom. Every one a partisan actor. Every one there to be seen.

Jackson Jr. saw it clearly. His father, whatever you thought of his politics, operated outside the comfortable lanes of party loyalty. He challenged Democratic presidents, not just Republican ones.

He spoke for communities that the party courted every four years and forgot in between. The son understood what the eulogists apparently did not: Jesse Jackson's life was bigger than their talking points.

"He maintained a tense relationship with the political order, not because the presidents were White or Black, but the demands of our message, the demands of speaking for the least of these

— those who are disinherited, the damned, the dispossessed, the disrespected

— demanded not Democratic or Republican solutions, but demanded a consistent, prophetic voice that at no point in time sold us out as a people."

That's a son saying his father wasn't a party mascot. And three former presidents just treated him like one.

When the eulogy is really a campaign speech

There is something clarifying about watching Obama use a funeral to talk about "democratic institutions" under threat, or Biden making himself the protagonist of someone else's memorial.

These men have spent decades claiming the mantle of the civil rights movement while delivering remarkably little to the communities that movement fought for. A funeral is the safest possible venue for that performance: no follow-up questions, no accountability, just applause.

Clinton called Jackson a friend and recalled a conversation during his own impeachment. Even in death, the Clintons find a way to make someone else's story about the Clintons.

What Jackson Jr. exposed is the transactional nature of Democratic reverence for civil rights icons. The admiration is real only to the extent that it's useful. The moment it requires genuine discomfort, genuine redistribution of power or attention, it evaporates.

Three presidents stood at that podium and talked about themselves, their enemies, their legacies. The dead man was the occasion, not the subject.

The deeper fracture

Jackson Jr.'s rebuke matters beyond the memorial itself. It reveals a fault line within the Democratic coalition that no amount of solemn nodding can paper over.

The party's elder statesmen treat Black institutions, Black churches, and Black funerals as backdrops. The people in those pews are starting to say so out loud.

A son buried his father. He asked for dignity and got a political rally. Three former presidents flew to Chicago, and not one of them could set aside their own agendas long enough to honor the man in the casket.

First I must explain to my non-Catholic friends why Jesus chooses his mother Mary as his favorite prophet to reach Catholics.  I quote a Pentecostal preacher/healer who said, "God will use whatever and whoever it takes to get your attention."  And for Catholics, Mary does it best.

I must also explain why the Rosary can be spiritually powerful.  If it's prayed the right way, you meditate deeply on 20 different scenes in the life of Christ while your mouth is automatically marking time by the repetitious words and beads.

Finally, I must explain what it means to "venerate" Mary.  Look the word up.  You can venerate a saint or an artist.  It means having a deep respect for a person.  Admiration.  That's it.  Now, "on with the show" (all 10 minutes of it).  Note: From what Mary described, it sounds like the time has just about arrived (April 13, 2029).

Look at Dubai. Everyone thought it was the paradise of the future, made of golden skyscrapers and unrestrained luxury. Instead, in less than two weeks, its real estate market has collapsed by 20%. Why? Because Dubai is built on sand and market “chatter.” When people are afraid, they flee from fake places. Dubai is evaporating because it has no roots. It is a sandcastle being washed away by the tide.

Look at Silicon Valley. That California that wanted to control us all with algorithms and social media. Now their giant headquarters are standing empty, and their power to decide what we should think is fading. The Matrix “software” has jammed because people have stopped feeding it energy.

Look at the old banks of Europe. The financial centers of London and Luxembourg, where for centuries they decided the fates of nations with a stroke of a pen. Today, their vaults are filled with paper that is worth less and less. Value is shifting toward things you can touch: energy, food, the land. Those buildings remain standing, but inside they are empty, devoid of soul and future.

While these “glass giants” are shattering, something beautiful is happening for us, the common people. The craze for fake money is giving way to real things.

People are beginning to understand that true value is not found in a stock market index or in an office on the hundredth floor of a desert skyscraper. True value is:

1.   The Land: Having a piece of ground to cultivate and care for.

2.   Family: Protecting those we love and our history.

3.   Truth: No longer being fooled by the lies of the TV and the “powerful.”

The “Beast” of global power has reached the end of the line. The system based on fear and debt has run out of fuel. What you are seeing is not the end of the world; it is only the end of their world, made of glass and lies.

We remain standing, with our feet firmly planted on the ground. While they collapse, we return to sowing, living, and winning.
