Biden-Harris Campaign Rift Widens as Election Day Approaches
Despite President Joe Biden’s repeated offers to join Vice President Kamala Harris on the campaign trail, there are currently no plans for them to make any joint appearances before Election Day, according to a report by Axios on Sunday.
Three sources with direct knowledge of the dynamics between Biden’s administration and Harris’s campaign revealed to Axios that when Biden’s team reaches out to arrange appearances, they’re consistently met with a “We’ll get back to you.”
This response has reportedly become routine, with Harris’s team sidestepping a definitive response each time the question of Biden’s participation is raised.
“Harris’ team believes Biden is a political liability at a crucial time in the campaign — but is reluctant to directly say they don’t want him to campaign for her,” Axios’s Alex Thompson noted.
One insider described the situation as a “gradual breakup,” as Harris’s team wrestles with the need to balance respect for Biden’s legacy with their strategic decision to distance themselves from his administration.
With Biden’s approval rating lingering around 39 percent, according to FiveThirtyEight, one source shared, “He’s a reminder of the last four years, not the new way forward.”
Although a White House official has denied these allegations to Axios, two sources disclosed that Biden’s team had set aside multiple days for potential campaign stops, only to watch these dates go by without any commitment from Harris’s camp.
This reported tension has been brewing since Harris took Biden’s place on the Democratic ticket.
Sources told Axios earlier this month that members of Biden’s senior staff have been slow to embrace Harris’s campaign, partly because they felt their loyalty to Biden has been called into question.
Staff shifts have also intensified these internal conflicts. While several Biden aides have joined Harris’s campaign, some feel they’ve been viewed as traitors for their decision.
Within Harris’s team, a divide is said to be growing between long-time loyalists and newer additions from Biden’s circle.
One anonymous campaign staffer from Harris’s team added, “The White House is lacking someone in the room thinking first and foremost about how things would affect the campaign,” emphasizing a gap in coordination that could affect the Democrats’ performance in the months ahead.
It’s surprising that Joe Biden even wants to be involved in Kamala Harris’s campaign at this point.
He was forced out of running for reelection in what was basically a coup so that Harris could run instead.
Most everyone wouldn’t blame Biden for not joining her campaign or even for hoping she loses to former President Donald Trump.
But for now, it looks like President Biden wants to hold onto his legacy as long as possible by making appearances on the campaign trail.

In a recent article, The New York Times raised concerns about Vice President Kamala Harris’s position in the upcoming election.
A recent poll conducted jointly by The Times and Siena College surveyed 2,516 likely voters between October 20 and 23, revealing a deadlock between Harris and former President Donald Trump, both polling at 48% nationally.
The findings reflect a general dissatisfaction among Americans with the state of the country, casting doubt on Harris’s ability to secure a decisive lead.
The results have shifted the RealClearPolitics average in the Harris-Trump contest to a tie, placing both candidates at 48.5%.
“The result, coming less than two weeks before Election Day, and as millions of Americans have already voted, is not encouraging for Ms. Harris,” The Times observed, also noting that “[Democrats] have been looking to Ms. Harris to build a strong national lead as a sign that she would do well in such critical swing states as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.”
Further findings highlighted an underlying pessimism among voters, with just 28% expressing optimism about the country’s trajectory. The report cited this metric as a “danger sign for the party in power.”
Harris’s popularity appears to have waned slightly since early October, when she held a narrow lead over Trump, 49% to 46%.
Although the margin remains close, The Times suggested that recent polling trends have shown “a tightening” race, adding to the uncertainty surrounding her candidacy.
Voter priorities in the poll underscored key issues that could sway the election. The economy ranked highest, with 27% of respondents naming it as their top issue, followed by immigration and abortion, each at 15%.
On these topics, Trump held a lead in perceived trustworthiness on the economy (52% to 45%) and immigration (54% to 43%), while Harris led on abortion rights (55% to 40%).
Individual perspectives, such as that of 27-year-old Larrissa Alexander, expressed disillusionment with Harris’s handling of immigration.
“I was very, extremely disappointed in her response to our immigration issue,” Alexander shared.
“And when she was first elected, that was one of the things that she was tasked with handling. And she accepted that responsibility. And then every time she was asked about it or pressed about it, it just was attitude-giving in return.”
The poll results also indicated a pronounced gender divide in support for both candidates.
Trump held a substantial lead among male voters (55% to 41%), while Harris led among women (54% to 42%).
As Election Day approaches, the Times noted that this tight race could hinge on shifts in voter sentiment on these issues and how the candidates appeal to diverse demographic groups.
But as of right now, Donald Trump and his campaign know they’re in a good spot. They also know that even though the polls are in their favor, they have to continue to fight like they’re down 10 points.

The Kamala Harris campaign, the Leftist media, and disgraced former Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly appeared to coordinate an eleventh-hour smear campaign against Donald Trump.
Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic – the same Leftist activist who published the suckers and losers hoax before the 2020 election – came out with a new hit piece quoting unnamed sources who alleged Donald Trump praised Adolph Hitler’s generals.
“I need the kind of generals that Hitler had,” Goldberg reported two anonymous sources telling him, without providing any evidence to substantiate the claim. “People who were totally loyal to him, that follow orders.”
Kelly soon joined the pile on, conveniently remembering conversations from six and seven years ago about Trump claiming Hitler “did some good things” and telling the New York Times that Trump was a fascist.
“He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law,” the Times reported.
Kelly was obviously so bothered by Trump’s Hitler worship that he continued to work for Trump and didn’t resign in protest.
Kelly only left the chief of staff job when Trump fired him for poor performance.
But the final leg of the hit came when Kamala Harris stood behind the seal of the Vice President, and claimed as her election closing argument, that Donald Trump was literally Hitler and cited Kelly’s falsehoods.
“Donald Trump is out for unchecked power. He wants a military like Adolf Hitler had, who will be loyal to him, not our Constitution. He is unhinged, unstable, and given a second term, there would be no one to stop him from pursuing his worst impulses,” Kamala Harris wrote on social media.
But the supposed October surprise fizzled as quickly as it hit.
That’s because Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg – who served as Vice President Mike Pence’s National Security Advisor – stepped in and posted on X that he served in a high-level capacity far longer than Kelly.
Kellogg shamed Kelly and Harris for being frauds and liars and scolded Kelly for being complicit in a fraud, which Kellogg insisted was designed to hurt the country.
“Vice President Harris is a fraud. I was in the White House at a senior level much longer than General Kelly. He is complicit in this fraud and has lied to the American people. His lies, as well as John Bolton’s, are a disservice to Nation at this critical time. So are the VP’s,” Kellogg posted.

In a last-minute bid to boost support among male voters, vice-presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., teamed up with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for a Twitch session playing Madden NFL on Sunday, hoping to tap into a different demographic.
“Sundays are for football! Game on, AOC,” Walz posted on X.
The two Democrats went live during NFL Sunday games, blending casual gaming with campaign chatter aimed at energizing younger voters.
Ocasio-Cortez kicked things off, sharing that Walz had approached her weeks ago about doing a live-stream. They settled on Madden since he’s a former football coach and has played the game with his kids.
Walz, donning a camouflage Minnesota Vikings cap, joined the session en route to a campaign event in Nevada. Between passes and plays, the duo fired shots at former President Trump and underscored the stakes of Democrats retaining the House and Senate.
“We don’t all share the same politics, we don’t all share the same views, but the need to defeat Trump this year has been my number one priority,” Ocasio-Cortez said, signaling the Democrats’ intense focus on blocking Trump’s return.
During the live-stream, Walz dangled the possibility of a prominent role for Ocasio-Cortez if he and Kamala Harris secure victory.
“We’re gonna win this election. We’re gonna make you put a gavel in your hand in the House,” he assured her.
The conversation soon drifted to the Senate filibuster, a legislative hurdle Democrats often criticize. Walz hinted at its removal, with Ocasio-Cortez quick to agree. “Oh yeah, we gotta get rid of that thing,” she said.
Meanwhile, Harris has advocated ending the filibuster to enact progressive legislation, such as Roe v. Wade protections in 2022 and the Green New Deal in 2019—points she’s using to appeal to her base but struggling to broaden with more moderate and male voters.
The pair also discussed Social Security, a policy they personally connect with.
“Gov. Tim Walz and I both lost our dads when we were teenagers. A lot of people don’t know that Social Security also helps you if you lose a spouse (or parent, if you’re a kid). It’s so important we defend and expand it,” Ocasio-Cortez posted on X after the stream.
Walz recently spotlighted his mother’s dependency on Social Security at a North Carolina rally, casting Trump as out-of-touch.
“He [Trump] doesn’t give a damn if his Social Security check comes or not,” Walz argued, promising tax cuts for millions under Harris’s leadership.
The game wrapped after one half, with Walz as the Vikings and Ocasio-Cortez as the Bills, ending in a 0-0 tie before Walz headed to a “Latinos con Harris-Walz” rally and watch party in Las Vegas with Congress members Steven Horsford and Teresa Leger Fernandez.
The Harris-Walz campaign has emphasized outreach to male voters through their “Athletes for Harris” program, backed by NBA stars like Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, and Magic Johnson.
But recent polls suggest Harris continues to struggle with this demographic; an NBC poll showed Trump leading Harris 56% to 40% among men, and MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell recently pointed out Harris’s challenges in this key voting bloc.

The United States lit $174 billion on fire funding Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s failed war in Ukraine.
One of the big differences between the two candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election is their stance on how to handle this conflict.
Kamala Harris won the endorsement of warmongers like Liz and Dick Cheney because she pledged to continue handing a blank check of American taxpayer money to Ukraine.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, promised to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump repeated that pledge at a rally in Las Vegas, with less than two weeks to go before the election.
At this rally, Trump went even further, saying he would get to work on ending the war in Ukraine immediately on election night.
“I’m going to work on that from the day, hopefully the day that we win, which is Nov. 5th, in the evening,” Trump told the crowd.
Trump expanded upon that promise, saying he would get Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the phone and try to negotiate a peace deal – even if he is just the President-elect.
“On the evening of Nov. 5th, I will call Putin. I will call Zelensky,” Trump added. “I’ll say, ‘We got to stop it.’”
“I’m going to try and get it done as President-elect,” Trump stated.
Trump argued that him wining the election on a promise to end the war would give him credibility to make the deal.
“That’ll give me plenty of credibility,” Trump continued. “I don’t have to wait until Jan. 20th [Inauguration Day]. I’m going to try and get it done sooner than that.”
Trump also reminded Americans he was the only President in the 21st century not to have a war on his watch.
“Sadly, zero chance that Putin would have gone into Ukraine if I were President,” Trump lamented. “Zero chance. What a shame that is.”
Trump’s call to end the war is popular and one of the reasons he could build the broader coalition that has caused his poll numbers to rise to higher levels than they ever did in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is one of the Democrats disgusted with the leftward drift of his party.
Kennedy endorsed Donald Trump in part because of Trump’s opposition to the war in Ukraine.
In a post on X, Kennedy warned Americans that Kamala Harris is pushing America towards nuclear war and that the only way to avoid disaster is to re-elect Donald Trump to a second term.
“If you want to avoid nuclear war, I strongly urge you to vote for Donald Trump. In fact, I would go so far as to say that a vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for nuclear war,” Kennedy wrote.
