Alligator Alcatraz! FL. AG. Floats Solution To Illegal Alien Crisis:
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said undocumented immigrants should be sent deep into the Everglades, or what he calls "alligator Alcatraz."
The "virtually abandoned airport facility right in the middle of the Everglades" would have the capacity to "house as many as 1,000 criminal aliens," Uthmeier said in a video sharing his offer with the White House.
"Florida's been leading on immigration enforcement, supporting the Trump administration and ICE's efforts to detain and deport criminal aliens," he said.
"The government tasked state leaders to identify places for new temporary detention facilities. I think this is the best one. As I call it, 'alligator Alcatraz'," he added.
The 30-square mile site offers an "efficient, low-cost opportunity to build a temporary detention facility because you don't need to invest that much in the perimeter," which has alligators and pythons "waiting" for anyone who escapes, said Uthmeier.
"Alligator Alcatraz, we're ready to go," he declared.

Iranian officials are said to be considering removing their supreme leader from power after the United States waded in to Israel's growing conflict with Iran on Sunday.
Two sources involved in talks told The Atlantic that officials are now contemplating deposing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but said it's just 'one idea' among many 'plots'.
'Everybody knows Khamenei's days are numbered,' one official told the American outlet. 'Even if he stays in office, he won't have actual power.'

Israeli President: 'I commend Trump for his brave decision'
The Kremlin last night accused the United States of opening a Pandora's box with its strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, warning it was gambling with the 'safety and well-being of humanity as a whole'.
Russia had already condemned Israel's strikes against Iran, and has said that targeting nuclear facilities risks throwing the region into greater chaos.
Prior to the attacks, the Kremlin had been eyeing a role in mediating between Iran and Israel.
'This is an absolutely unprovoked aggression against Iran,' Putin told Abbas Araghchi, who travelled to Moscow on Monday seeking support in mediation over Iran's nuclear programme.
Putin called recent strikes 'unjustified' and added that Russia was 'making efforts to provide assistance to the Iranian people.'
The comments came as Israel again struck the Fordow nuclear facility and 'government targets' in Tehran, with no sign of the conflict abating.
Khamenei, who last spoke to his nation in a televised address on Wednesday, has hidden away in a bunker, suspending electronic communications in a bid to toughen up security amid swirling assassination threats, three Iranian officials told the New York Times.
But, despite the ramped up protection effort Iran's Ayatollah has named three potential successors to take over his role in case he is killed, according to reports.
A three-man committee from a top clerical body, appointed by Khamenei himself two years ago to identify his replacement, has accelerated its planning in recent days since Israel attacked Iran and threatened to assassinate the veteran leader, five insiders with knowledge of the discussions told Reuters.
Khamenei is being regularly briefed on the talks, according to the Iranian sources who requested anonymity to discuss highly sensitive matters.
He has gone into hiding with his family and is being guarded by the Vali-ye Amr special forces unit of the Revolutionary Guards, a top security official said.

The ruling establishment will immediately seek to name a successor to Khamenei if he is killed, to signal stability and continuity, according to the sources who acknowledged that predicting Iran's subsequent political trajectory was difficult.
A new leader will still be chosen for his devotion to the revolutionary precepts of the Islamic Republic's late founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, according to one insider, who is close to Khamenei's office and privy to succession discussions.
At the same time, the top echelon of power is also considering which candidate might present a more moderate face to ward off foreign attacks and internal revolts, the person said.
Two frontrunners have emerged in the succession discussions, the five insiders said: Khamenei's 56-year-old son Mojtaba, long seen as a continuity choice, and a new contender, Hassan Khomeini, grandson of the father of the Islamic revolution.
Khomeini, a close ally of the reformist faction that favours the easing of social and political restrictions, nonetheless commands respect among senior clerics and the Revolutionary Guards because of his lineage, the sources added.
'I once again humbly express that this small and insignificant servant of the Iranian people stands ready to proudly be present on any front or scene you deem necessary,' the 53-year-old said in a public message of support to the supreme leader on Saturday, hours before the U.S. bombed Iran's nuclear facilities.
Khomeini has come into the frame as a serious candidate this month amid the conflict with Israel and America because he could represent a more conciliatory choice internationally and domestically than Mojtaba Khamenei, the five people said.
By contrast, Khamenei hews closely to his father's hardline policies, according to the insiders who cautioned that nothing had been determined, candidates could change and the supreme leader would have the final say.
However, with the military conflict continuing, it remains unclear whether any new leader could be chosen easily or installed securely or if he could assume the level of authority enjoyed by Khamenei, they added.
Israeli strikes have also killed several of Iran's top Revolutionary Guards commanders, potentially complicating a handover of power as the elite military force has long played a central role in enforcing the supreme leader's rule.
Khamenei's office and the Assembly of Experts, the clerical body from which the succession committee was drawn, were not available to comment.
His son Mojtaba, also a cleric who has close ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, was rumoured to be a front-runner.
But he is not among the selected candidates, officials reportedly told the newspaper.
It comes after Donald Trump raised the prospect of regime change in the country, despite several of his administration officials earlier stressing that US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites did not have that goal.

Since Trump joined Israel's campaign by dropping massive bunker-buster bombs on Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday morning, Iran has repeatedly threatened to retaliate.
The country said the US should expect 'heavy consequences' for its attacks, issuing a threat that its entry into the conflict with Israel will 'expand the scope of legitimate targets'.
Earlier, an Iranian television mouthpiece warned that up to 50,000 American soldiers will be returned to Washington in 'coffins'.
State TV anchor Mehdi Khanalizadeh accused Trump of choosing to 'spill the blood of your soldiers', before adding: 'The US president in the Oval Office chose to take delivery of the coffins of up to 50,000 US soldiers in Washington.'
Trump declared last night that 'monumental damage' has been done 'to all nuclear sites in Iran'.
The US president wrote on his Truth Social page that satellite images he obtained showed the Iranian nuclear facilities were 'obliterated,' and noted that the most damage 'took place far below ground level.'
Iranian media then reported that Israel was carrying out new strikes on the Fordow nuclear facilities today, with Israeli media saying the IDF was targeting an access road at the site.
Meanwhile huge clouds of smoke towered over Tehran as Israel launched a wave of strikes 'with unprecedented force', including on a military headquarters killing 'hundreds' of guards members.

Fierce hardliners are grabbing power in Iran
ON JUNE 23rd Iran’s regime ignored President Donald Trump’s warnings and attacked American military bases in Qatar and Iraq.
Missiles could be seen over skyscrapers in Doha, Qatar’s capital. While the damage and casualties appear minimal, the war has reached the Gulf, whose glimmering cities offer an alternative vision of the Middle East and whose energy the world needs.
The strikes outside Iran come alongside a sudden, ominous power shift inside it. Military hardliners are grabbing power from clerics.
That could mean they try to extricate themselves from the war now in order to fight another day.
But in the medium term it could signal that the regime becomes more extreme, not more pragmatic, under the pressure of a devastating military campaign.

An X user translated the letter in English. It reads, “Having completed my service as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and after fully adhering to the law and fulfilling my obligations,
I hereby submit my resignation in your esteemed presence. During my tenure, the Islamic Republic of Iran faced severe attacks from the international system, especially the United States, which imposed cruel sanctions and unprecedented pressure on the country.
With the guidance of your esteemed leadership, the support of the honorable people, and the sincere efforts of the officials, the Iranian nation was able to resist and persevere. I hope my service has met your approval.”
Pezeshkian's purported letter adds, according to the translation, “Based on my duty, I have performed my responsibilities in order to serve the interests of the country and the people.
Now, after completing this responsibility and with your permission, I am handing over the affairs to the next administration, in accordance with the constitution, so that new officials may, with God's help, continue to advance the goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I ask God, the Almighty, for the continued success and pride of the dear people of Iran and the honor and health of your blessed existence.”
Is the letter true?
The letter has been dismissed as a “fake document” by Shayan Sardaizadeh, a senior journalist at BBC Verify. Sardaizadeh wrote on X, “Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has not resigned and this is a completely fake document claiming to show his resignation letter to the supreme leader.”
Grok, a conversational AI chatbot developed by xAI, also claimed that the letter is not true. “The letter claiming Masoud Pezeshkian's resignation lacks authenticity,” it noted. “No credible news outlets, such as Reuters or The Guardian, confirm his resignation, and recent reports show him actively serving as Iran's president, including a call with India's PM on June 22, 2025. The Iranian government and Pezeshkian himself have denied resignation rumors. The letter's signatures, including one from Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, raise doubts, as no official sources validate it. It appears to be misinformation, possibly spread to undermine his administration.”

Overview
No, the Ayatollah has not "handed power" to the National Guard. However, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is playing a more prominent role in the Iranian government, particularly since the war began.

In a 6-3 decision, the US Supreme Court on Monday allowed the Trump Administration to resume deporting illegal aliens to ‘third-party’ countries.
This means the Trump Administration’s effort to deport criminal aliens to South Sudan is back on.
The Supreme Court granted the Trump Administration’s emergency application and paused Judge Brian Murphy’s order blocking the third-country removals.
Liberal Justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson dissented.
Last month US District Judge Brian Murphy, a Biden appointee, said the Trump Administration violated his court order to provide the aliens with “meaningful” due process since they were being sent to “third-party” countries.

Some of the aliens are from Laos, Vietnam, and Cuba, so sending them to South Sudan puts them in danger, attorneys argued.

Judge Murphy said the US must maintain custody of the dangerous aliens during the process.
Judge Murphy also ordered the US government to provide interpreters and counsel to the aliens during the interview.
President Trump fumed and said that because of the judge’s order, 8 of the most violent criminals on earth are currently being held in Djibouti, a tiny country on the Horn of Africa next to Ethiopia.
The US government doesn’t even have a detention facility in Djibouti, so 11 ICE agents are detaining the aliens in a conference room in a converted Conex shipping container on the US Naval base in Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.
A recent court filing revealed the hellish conditions for the ICE agents forced to live in thanks to the Biden judge.
ICE agents who are living in 100-degree heat are at risk of Malaria and rocket attacks. There are also limited sleeping quarters, limited lighting, and significant security risks.

I had already agreed to an interview with Robbie Williams before realizing he wasn’t queer at all. That’s on me. As a teenager who was fond of his anthemic ballad “Angel” and then saw him strip down to his briefs (and much less) in the “Rock DJ” video, I couldn’t help but hope he was.
Our pop idols have limited control over how we perceive them and their sexual identity (just ask Shawn Mendes, Harry Styles and even Taylor Swift), and in my wishful thinking as a gay kid growing up in the 1990s without much representation, I missed the part where Williams sued a British tabloid in 2005 for claiming he had a “secret gay lover” and performed a sex act on a man in a Manchester club bathroom. (The tabloid ultimately apologized and paid “substantial” damages to the pop star.)
Then I lost track of him for a while. Now, he’s the subject of an entire biopic, “Better Man,” where he’s portrayed by a CGI chimpanzee. Though human actors surround him in "The Greatest Showman" director Michael Gracey's film, this animal version of Williams serves as a symbol of his complex feelings about fame, as he contemplates how he sees himself in a world that often dictates the roles we’re supposed to play. For a time, Williams became something he wasn’t for me.
Our idols can only control their narrative to a certain extent, and when I finally connected with him during our video call and realized only hours before while researching that he is, in fact, completely straight, I learned that Williams is the kind of guy who, even if he wasn’t the representation I once hoped for as a struggling gay teen, would be proud to have your back.
“Look, if I fancied noshing some bloke off by the canal, I'd have noshed some bloke off by the canal,” he tells me, in response to my ask about the lawsuit, which he said he appreciated having the opportunity to respond to. “The visual of that, I am perfectly OK with; it was important for me to be me at the time. Just like it's important for you to be you in every aspect and to be seen and to be heard.”
“I'm not disrespecting anybody or getting my handbag and going, ‘Heaven forbid that people think of this disgusting thing [about] me,’” he continues. If someone were to create an AI-imagined version of Williams engaged in a same-sex encounter (his exact words: “AI me doing it”), “I'll watch it myself,” he says.Williams’ honesty extends into “Better Man,” where we see a version of him that’s raw and vulnerable. It’s a portrayal grounded in his truth, not ours — or mine.
The film delves into the psychological toll of his fame and his constant struggle to escape the shadow of his father, Pete Conway, a beloved entertainer in the U.K. It’s a reminder that, for all his charisma, Williams is still just a man who grew up in a working-class town, trying to navigate a life that skyrocketed him to stardom in 1990 at just 16 years old, as the youngest member of the British boy band that would eventually become known as Take That. The film captures the group's meteoric rise to fame, particularly within queer spaces. Williams recalls, “For the first 18 months, all we played were gay clubs.”Williams quickly formed a deep connection with the queer community. When I ask him about his memories of performing at gay clubs while preparing for those scenes in “Better Man,” his laugh prompts me to delve further.
“OK, the laugh's about this: It’s my first memory of being in a gay club when I'm 16,” he starts, amused by what he’s about to say but also acknowledging uncertainty about telling a story that “may not land.”
“I'm sat in a banquette in this part of the club where a curtain is pulled in front of it and it's a makeshift dressing room. And I am sat by myself and there's a man in the corner and he appears to be masturbating. And I'm like, ‘Oh my god. What?’ And I'm sort of frozen and I'm thinking, ‘But what do I do in this? I'm cool. Just be cool." And it turns out it was a stripper and he was blowing his penis up for his performance. He wasn't masturbating at all. And so that was sort of a memory flashback that I got.”
The film stops short of exploring that memory. Biographical movies, of course, often face limitations in delving into deeply personal stories. Williams offers "many different reasons" for this restraint.
“Lots of them being that a lot of people are still alive and will sue me and I can't prove it in a court of law that it actually happened,” he says.
But Williams’ childhood in Stoke-on-Trent, a city in Staffordshire, England, gets plenty of attention. He tells me it’s “considered the hood in modern parlance or thereabouts,” and recalls that “‘gay’ was a slur and something to be feared and ridiculed.”
The world was telling me I couldn't be me. And it was really important for me to say, ‘No, I'm going to be me and I'm going to be me 100%.’

Life took a dramatic turn for him at 15, after his audition led him to Take That. Soon thereafter, he found himself being admired by half-naked gay men in clubs, a stark contrast that he vividly described as transformative: “I went from being in a place where I used to wonder which shoes to put on by how much violence was going to be at the place that I was going to — steel toe cap boots if it was going to be really bad — and then, all of a sudden, I was in this place of acceptance and warmth and silliness.”
It’s a place that Williams, who is now 50, is familiar with, and since his teen rise, he has come to understand his place in gay culture even, as he says, “I don’t understand the queer lifestyle, I’m not of it.”
“But,” he goes on, “I understand that I am accepted there and I'm loved and I'm wanted and I am needed. And from that moment on I know what my response to and of it is, which is gratitude.”
From an early age, Williams says he latched onto the queer community’s sense of playfulness and lightheartedness. “I have been mainly inspired by Black culture and gay culture,” he says. “And they are two things that I am incredibly grateful for to this day.
“As British people, we're camp. We put on dresses. We go to these theater shows where women play guys and guys play women. And the people that are on the TV as you're growing up are camp and are warm and silly. I'll go back to that word ‘silly’ that means so much to me: I take silly very seriously,” he says.
He speaks highly of the “warmth of people” like Larry Grayson, a popular British comedian and TV presenter who was rumored to be gay, but only hinted at it toward the end of his life. “No one had a clue that he was gay, but it’s just so obvious now,” Williams says.
“And Freddie Mercury, who is an angel, and every time I see him represented on screen and in documentaries I just am gobsmacked of his very presence and his very being,” he adds. “And then, of course, you've got Elton. You are bothered about being authentically you in a world that has told you you can't be you. The world was telling me I couldn't be me. And it was really important for me to say, ‘No, I'm going to be me and I'm going to be me 100%.’”
In 2013, the rumors he debunked were met with a quote from Williams, as expressed to The Daily Star, that acknowledged that he was “49 percent homosexual,” a remark that led The Guardian to criticize his reliance on stereotypes.“I love musical theater and a lot of the other things that are often associated with gays. I am 49 percent homosexual and sometimes as far as 50 percent. However, that would imply that I enjoy having a particular sort of fun, which I don’t,” he said at the time.
And recently, while speaking to journalist Michael Cragg at The Guardian, Williams explained his reasoning for challenging the gay rumors made by a British tabloid via a lawsuit: “I was more sad. Not about gay accusations because look, I’ve done everything but suck a cock. Honestly, you’ve never met somebody that wants to be gay as much as me.”
“I was maligned, belittled, disrespected, hated, followed, harangued, phone-tapped,” he shares with me about his experiences with the British tabloids. “People on the payroll being told to give rumors about me, tell them where I was, people who were in the credit card companies. And my only way of representing myself at the time was to do a book, and the book would say everything about who I was. So I released this book as a way of going, ‘If you hate me, at least hate me for the right reasons.’”
“The same week that comes out,” he continues, “there's a story in a newspaper about how I sucked some bloke's dick by a canal.
