Urgent: Dr Crystal Luchkiw´s hearing is at 9AM

Here´s how to attend…

Dr Crystal Luchkiw´s tribunal hearing is today at 9AM (Toronto). Please show your support, and bare witness, by attending the hearing. To attend you must request a link to the hearing by writing the College at: tribunal@opsdt.ca

Dr. Crystal Luchkiw is a family and palliative care physician from Barrie, Ontario. Prior to the pandemic, she was a highly respected family physician with a reputation for providing compassionate care based on a commitment to excellence and the principles of informed consent and “do no harm.” She held a teaching appointment in palliative care at the Royal Victoria Regional Hospital and much of her practice was devoted to caring for the elderly.

During the pandemic response, she witnessed an extreme deviation from the fundamental principles of ethical medical practice. This caused serious harm to her patients, particularly those suffering from mental health issues and approaching end-of-life. In response, Dr. Luchkiw increased her critical scrutiny of scientific literature and questioned whether public health measures were properly balancing the public good with patient welfare.

In speaking out about the increasing harms to her patients and the public-at-large, she was targeted by hospital administrators and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. As a result, the College suspended her licence in March of 2022 and deprived her 1,700 patients of medical care during a physician shortage, while also canceling their prescriptions, scheduled tests and appointments with specialists. Since her suspension, Dr. Luchkiw has pursued legal action against the College for investigating and prosecuting her without legal justification and infringing her constitutional right to freedom of expression.

Again, to attend please write to the college as quickly as possible requesting a link to the tribunal hearing happening today at 9AM. The email to contact is: tribunal@opsdt.ca

Thank you for taking action and showing Dr Luchkiw your support, despite such short notice.

LA Dodgers blasted for plan to honor ‘blasphemousdrag queen nuns at upcoming game:

One of Major League Baseball’s most storied franchises is getting blasted over its plan to honor a controversial LGBTQ+ activist group of “queer and trans nuns” at an upcoming game, drawing the ire of Catholics who have condemned the “blasphemous” depictions of their faith.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are being accused of anti-Catholic bigotry for the planned hosting of a gay and transgender group that uses religious imagery to promote a sexually degenerate lifestyle, presenting a “Community Hero Award” to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence before the June 16th Pride Night home game at Chavez Ravine, appropriately, a matchup against the rival San Francisco Giants.

LA Pride and the team recently announced the occasion and that the “leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns” would be singled out for extra special treatment on a special night during a special month that is annually set aside for the worship of a very special demographic, a gesture that angered Catholic organizations and spurred a letter from Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred pointing out the group’s mocking and degradation of Christians, especially Catholics.

“Recently, you stated that Major League Baseball needs to ‘make decisions that are as inclusive and welcoming to everyone as possible and keep us as apolitical as possible.’ I write to ask whether your League wants to be ‘inclusive and welcoming’ to Christians, and if so, why you are allowing an MLB team to honor a group that mocks Christians through diabolical parodies of our faith,” Rubio wrote in his letter which was dated May 15, 2023.

“The ‘sisters’ are men who dress in lewd imitation of Roman Catholic nuns. The group’s motto, ‘go and sin some more,’ is a perversion of Jesus’s command to ‘go, and sin no more.’ The group’s ‘Easter’ ceremony features children’s programming followed by a drag show where adult performers dress in blasphemous imitation of Jesus and Mary. The group hosts pub crawls mocking the Stations of the Cross and even the Eucharist, the sacrament that unites more than one billion Catholics around the world,” the Florida Republican wrote.

“Do you believe that the Los Angeles Dodgers are being ‘inclusive and welcoming to everyone’ by giving an award to a group of gay and transgender drag performers that intentionally mocks and degrades Christians—and not only Christians, but nuns, who devote their lives to serving others? Do you believe such an award is ‘apolitical’?” Rubio asked of the commish. “Do you believe it is a sound business decision, in a city with more than four million Catholics and countless other people of faith? Finally, setting aside financial considerations, do you believe it is morally right for the most important league of our national pastime to honor a group that mocks religion, and one religion in particular?”

Also writing a letter, this one to the Dodgers, was the president of Catholic political activist group CatholicVote who urged the team to cancel the award and accused the organization of normalizing bigotry against Catholics.

“This award comes at a time when Catholics are under threat across the country to a degree not seen in decades,” Burch wrote, according to the Washington Examiner. “In the past three years, there have been over 300 acts of violence and vandalism against Catholic churches in the United States, including nearly 50 in California alone. Through this award, the Dodgers are contributing to the climate of increasing hostility against Catholics.”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue also blasted the Dodgers, saying that the team has “besmirched their legacy of combating bigotry by partnering with LA Pride in awarding this year’s Community Hero Award to an obscene anti-Catholic group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”

“In 1947, the Brooklyn Dodgers made history by naming Jackie Robinson to its roster. He was the first black man to play Major League Baseball (MLB). Now it is in the business of promoting bigotry, not fighting it. By rewarding anti-Catholicism, the Dodgers have broken bread with the most despicable elements in American society today,” Donohue said.

'Clear misconduct and intent' claimed by lawyer in Kari Lake case:

A lawyer for Kari Lake is arguing there was malicious conduct in the counting of votes during her run as a GOP gubernatorial candidate in Arizona.

Attorney Kurt Olsen made the case during opening arguments on Friday before the Maricopa County Superior Court.

The details

"Olsen said there were four new issues since the trial took place in December. First, he said the new evidence refutes the testimony of Maricopa County Elections Director Scott Jarrett regarding problems with ballots printing," the Arizona Sun-Times reported.

"The tabulators failed to recognize many of the ballots on Election Day because they were 19-inch ballots printed on 20-inch paper," it added.

Speculation has continued to swirl about Lake's future following the controversial election for governor that led to Katie Hobbs winning for Democrats.

"If for some reason we don't get a fair outcome in our election, I will run for Senate, most likely," Lake has stated, a move that could put her against Independent Kyrsten Sinema and Democratic candidate Ruben Gallego.

If the race becomes a three-way race, the split could work to Lake's advantage in helping her become the state's next Republican senator.

Some have even speculated that Lake could run as vice president alongside former President Donald Trump if he becomes the party's nominee.

The ongoing dispute about Maricopa County's voting practices extends back to 2020 when the state was among those that took a lengthy process to report votes and did so under some unanswered questions. Lake hopes to get to the bottom of the mystery and somehow vindicate herself as the real winner in the state in an unlikely move that is perhaps better in setting up her future political activities.

Globe & Mail Media:

Morning Update:

Bill Blair took months to approve CSIS surveillance of Liberal powerbroker, national-security source says:

Canada’s spy service sought an electronic and entry warrant to monitor former Ontario cabinet minister Michael Chan in the lead-up to the 2021 federal election, but it took several months for then-public safety minister Bill Blair to sign off on the clandestine surveillance of the influential Liberal Party powerbroker, according to a national-security source.

CSIS regarded Mr. Chan as a national-security target and sought a section 21 warrant under the CSIS Act in early 2021, the source said. The spy agency wanted to intercept Mr. Chan’s electronic communications and gain entry to his home and offices in what was expected to be a federal election year. Mr. Chan had already been under physical surveillance for years, the source said.

The Globe is not identifying the source because they risk prosecution under the Security of Information Act.

Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair speaks during a news conference on May 11: Some within the spy agency suspected that the then-public safety minister was hesitant to approve surveillance because of Michael Chan’s role as a major organizer and fundraiser for the Liberal Party, according to a national-security source.

Ethics Commissioner finds Smith didn’t contact Crown prosecutors:

United Conservative Party leader Danielle Smith has been absolved by the Ethics commissioner following an investigation into allegations that she and her office contacted Crown prosecutors regarding Covid-19 prosecutions.

The Commissioner’s findings come three weeks into a provincial election campaign between the UCP and the NDP, with polls showing a tight race.

Smith said the report confirms that the CBC and the Alberta NDP have “repeatedly lied to Albertans for months.”

“Both the CBC and NDP should apologize and withdraw those false accusations immediately and publicly,” Smith said in a statement.

“They should also apologize to Alberta’s independent Crown Prosecutors and Civil Service for repeatedly questioning their integrity in addressing these matters.”

The investigation was requested by the Opposition Alberta NDP following a leaked phone call between Smith and controversial street pastor Artur Pawlowski discussing his criminal charges stemming from his involvement at the Coutts border blockade in February 2022.

Allegations that Smith contacted Crown prosecutors arose in January from a CBC News report, which relied on anonymous sources, saying the Premier’s office emailed prosecutors to challenge their assessment on Coutts border blockades cases.

At the time, Smith called the allegations “baseless” and called for a retraction and apology.

CBC instead doubled down on its reporting with a second story alleging that Smith inappropriately pressured Justice Department officials to intervene in pandemic-related charges.

Shortly after becoming party leader, Smith said she wanted to pardon those charged for breaching Covid-19 restrictions. She abandoned those promises months later, saying her Justice minister said it would not be possible for her to interfere in the independent Crown prosecution process.

Smith has said publicly that she’s spoken with Justice Minister Tyler Shandro about whether Covid-19 prosecutions are still in the public interest and are likely to result in conviction.

The Ethics Commissioner ruled that these discussions were inappropriate.

“I invited the Commissioner to give me and future premiers the benefit of some guidance on how to advance sensitive policy issues similar to this with the Minister of Justice if she thought there was a more appropriate way,” Smith said.

The Commissioner’s findings also have implications for a defamation suit Smith has threatened against the CBC.

Last month, Smith’s legal team gave notice of the premier’s “intention to bring an action against the CBC” under the Defamation Act unless the publication retracted the news article in question by April 28 — a deadline now passed.

The CBC article in question reported on the call between Smith and Pawlowski.

On the call, Smith says she’s been in weekly contact with Justice officials regarding the pastor’s criminal charges from his involvement with the Coutts border blockade. Smith is also heard telling Pawlowski multiple times that she is unable to intervene in the legal matter.

CBC’s report argues that the call reveals that Smith’s conversations “with top Alberta Justice officials about pandemic-related prosecutions were more frequent and specific than she has admitted publicly.”

The premier now says the Ethics Commissioner’s ruling confirms “false and defamatory statements” made by the CBC and NDP.

“I will confer with my counsel on what next steps are to be taken after the election,” she said.

“I look forward to spending the remainder of the campaign talking about issues that Albertans are focused on – namely the economy, jobs, affordability, public safety and healthcare.”

Albertans head to the polls on May 29.

There Will Be No Justice:

FBI controversy:

The IRS abruptly removed the “entire investigative team” from the tax fraud probe into Hunter Biden in alleged retaliation against a whistleblower who told Congress there was a coverup in the case, RadarOnline.com has learned.

In a surprising development to come roughly five years after the tax fraud probe was launched into President Joe Biden’s son, the IRS was reportedly ordered to remove the entire team investigating Hunter’s finances.

Also surprising are reports that the “clearly retaliatory” move was ordered by the Justice Department after an anonymous IRS whistleblower on the investigative team told Congress the case against Hunter was being “brushed under the rug.”

“Today the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Supervisory Special Agent we represent was informed that he and his entire investigative team are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject about which our client sought to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress,” the whistleblower’s legal team announced on Monday.

“He was informed the change was at the request of the Department of Justice,” lawyers Mark Lytle and Tristan Leavitt added

According to the New York Post, the whistleblower supervised the tax fraud probe into Hunter since early 2020.

The outlet also reported that the whistleblower never publicly identified President Biden’s son as the subject of the tax fraud case, although congressional sources have since confirmed the case is centered on Hunter.

The whistleblower’s legal team also called out IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel who, on April 27, told Congress “there will be no retaliation for anyone making an allegation or a call to a whistleblower hotline.”

“On April 27, 2023, IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel appeared before the House Committee on Ways and Means. He testified: ‘I can say without any hesitation there will be no retaliation for anyone making an allegation or a call to a whistleblower hotline,’” the whistleblower’s legal team wrote on Monday.

“However, this move is clearly retaliatory and may also constitute obstruction of a congressional inquiry,” they added.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the tax fraud probe against Hunter was first launched in 2018 after the now-first son was accused of not paying taxes on millions of dollars made in overseas business deals.

Although the team investigating Hunter’s finances reportedly concluded “most of its work” in connection to the case last year, no charges have been brought against President Biden’s son.
