Federal data drop exposes massive blind spot in Canada’s COVID vaccine oversight:

New parliamentary records reveal explosive spikes in reproductive and menstrual adverse-event reports following the 2021 vaccine rollout, and federal regulators have no answers, only recycled, empty reassurances.

Yet another wave of unanswered questions about Canada’s after-market surveillance of the COVID-19 mRNA injections comes as a fresh set of federal records lands in Parliament.

Despite Health Canada’s unwavering assurances of “safe and effective,” the numbers disclosed by the government itself suggest a far more complex safety profile, particularly when it comes to reproductive and menstrual health.

Canada’s adverse-event system logged 85 reports involving obstetric, fetal, neonatal, or reproductive outcomes since 2020, according to the official response. It may sound small on paper — until you track the timing.


In 2020, the system recorded zero such reports. Then came 2021, the first full year of mass vaccination, and the number exploded to 58. That single year accounts for nearly 70% of all reports ever submitted in this category. The number dropped to 17 in 2022, then fell even further in subsequent years, but it has yet to return to zero.


The federal response offers no explanation for the unprecedented spike, no insight into why the surge appeared exactly when mass injections began, and no clarification on why reports declined afterward. Was reporting discouraged? Did surveillance methods shift? Were Canadians simply exiting the booster campaign revolving door? Health Canada doesn’t say, but they do offer empty reassurance that this doesn’t “imply an established causal relationship between a vaccine and an adverse event.”


The same pattern repeats with menstrual-related events — including heavy bleeding, amenorrhea, and significant cycle irregularities. Again, 2020 saw no reports. Then, 2021 recorded a staggering 556 cases, followed by 264 in 2022, tapering afterward but never returning to baseline.


While the government is quick to stress that the timeline doesn’t prove causation, it’s important to remember that these numbers represent real Canadians navigating real medical experiences. These dramatic spikes demand scrutiny, not silent disregard.

Yet oversight gaps appear everywhere.


Both federal bodies responsible for public health and drug oversight openly admit they cannot access claim data from the Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP), all because the government outsourced the entire system to the private firm Oxaro. It’s a setup that doesn’t just limit transparency but also neatly insulates regulators from the very accountability Canadians are told to trust.


As previously documented, the program has been plagued by delays, mismanagement, and funding that went to consultants first while families were left waiting in crisis.

So much for ‘we’re all in this together.’

Despite mounting concerns, the government's stance remains unwavering: no evidence of increased risk of heavy menstrual bleeding, miscarriage, preterm birth, or related complications.


But that stance stands at odds with the government’s own actions. Ottawa acknowledges having analyzed these concerns extensively, even publishing a safety assessment in 2023. If there was never a meaningful signal, why the need for so much internal study?


Meanwhile, Canada’s fertility rates hit historic lows in 2022 and 2023, signalling the largest drop in decades, adding yet another layer to a pattern officials seem reluctant to even question.


What Canadians received this week was not transparency, but a reminder of how tightly controlled the narrative remains. The data is the government’s own, and trying to get ahead of any questions that naturally arise from it, Health Canada basically holds onto the old ‘trust the science’ marketing mantra.


A government can repeat a message as often as it wants, but when its own numbers start telling a different story, there comes a time when empty reassurances need to be replaced by concrete answers.

Vice President JD Vance is laughing off a social media storm that claims he was caught in a heated public spat with his wife, Usha, at a restaurant, as the Daily Mail reports.


The story, fueled by an unverified image and wild speculation about their marriage, has Vance pushing back with humour while addressing ongoing rumours about their relationship.


It all started when a Facebook user, Thomas Clay Jr., posted a photo showing Vance with an intense expression while speaking to Usha, who appears disengaged, in what looks like a dining setting. The accompanying caption suggested a loud argument that supposedly hushed the entire restaurant.


Vance Mocks Social Media Speculation

Clay Jr. didn’t hold back, writing, “Looks like things are not so good in Republicanistan.” Well, if that’s the bar for political analysis, we might as well start reading tea leaves at the local diner.

Vance fired back on X with a sarcastic jab, saying, “I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife.” That dry wit is a reminder that not every viral snapshot deserves a congressional hearing.


Rumours about the Vances’ marriage aren’t new, though, and they’ve been simmering since October after Vance was seen giving a close embrace to Charlie Kirk’s wife at a memorial event. Adding fuel to the fire, Vance spoke at the same event about encouraging Usha to convert from Hinduism to Catholicism.


Wedding Ring Controversy Fuels Gossip

Then came the wedding ring drama, with Usha spotted without hers at multiple public appearances. The Daily Mail first noted this in November during an event alongside first lady Melania Trump.


Just recently, in early December, Usha was again photographed ringless at Joint Base Andrews with Melania Trump. Naturally, the internet sleuths pounced, spinning tales of marital discord faster than a progressive agenda at a school board meeting.


Vance tackled the ring controversy head-on in an NBC News interview last Thursday, shrugging off the speculation with a grounded perspective. He explained that Usha sometimes forgets her ring amid the chaos of family life. A spokesman for Usha echoed this, noting, “Usha does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”


Vance Defends Marriage Amid Rumours

Far from being rattled, Vance seems to find the whole ordeal amusing, stating, “I think that we kind of get a kick out of it.” That’s the kind of resilience you’d expect from someone navigating the public eye while dodging baseless gossip.


The couple, married since 2014 and parents to three children, have kept their private life relatively under wraps. Usha, who shies away from media attention and rarely gives interviews, is currently focused on leading a childhood literacy program.

At the end of the day, Vance’s response to this latest social media tempest is a masterclass in not sweating the small stuff.


While the rumour mill churns out clickbait, he and Usha seem content to focus on what matters -- family and service. If only the online detectives could channel that energy into solving real problems, we might actually get somewhere.

Bless you for your work as Chair of the Conservative Caucus.

I am an activist and influencer in South Western Ontario who has invested time over the past 20 years researching and following the development of Basic Income Guarantees, aka Universal Income Guarantees, and I would like to share some conclusions with you, particularly with regard to inclusion of some principles to protect the population from unforeseen future abuse of any system. 


Please see the enclosed 4-page document, which I have distributed to friends in the London area, especially the last page which spells out the “Ten Commandments of a Universal Basic Income” (AI’s title, not mine, although it may have been influenced by my reference to the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church which is based on the principle of Subsidiarity).


I pray it may help guide you to similar conclusions.

Cagey Carney introduces Bill S-206 in the Senate instead of the House of Commons

S-206, the "National Framework for a Guaranteed Livable Basic Income Act", sounds so good, just like the generous plans implemented in the Soviet Union, Cuba and China during the last century, full of promises but with no guaranteed protection against future abuse of power.  That's the first problem, which could be overcome if we get Ottawa to include the ten principles I outline at the end of this email (see my highlight).  But then there's also the problem of sustainability, which is debatable.

 

Basic Income Guarantee is what they called it when Ontario tried to implement the idea without success after a trial in selected regions.  "Mincome" or Minimum Guaranteed Income is what they called it during the nine-year experiment in Dauphin Manitoba, starting in 1973.  Universal Basic Income is what they proposed in Switzerland, the first country to consider and reject the idea.  Finland tried it for two years.  A city in Brazil is the only place that has not given up the idea, and their huge oil revenues are funding it as a vote getter. 


Without such an arrangement, UBI has been dropped everywhere as "financially unsustainable" (not because people became lazy).  If governments didn't have to borrow the money and pay interest, it would be a different matter.  Mothers might even be able to stay home and parent their own kids, as happened in Manitoba 50 years ago (is that why they shut it down?).

 

According to the Fraser Institute, a Universal Basic Income (UBI) program that provided working-age Canadians $2,000 a month would cost $464.5 billion annually.

 

The Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) in a 2021 analysis on Ontario’s 2017 UBI pilot reviewed the province's 4,000 applicants who received monthly payments for up to three years. For every dollar earned, the UBI payment was reduced by 50 cents. It fell apart due to sustainability issues. 

A 2025 PBO study estimated the gross cost of Bill S-206 implementation at $107 billion. 

 

The sneaky NWO-Liberals did not introduce the idea this time on the floor of the House of Commons where they risk being defeated.  Instead,, a Carney crony introduced it in the Senate on June 16/25 to approve the idea in principle before presenting it to the House. 

 

This has raised eyebrows among conservative websites like this one, who are concerned about more than the costs.

Here's the ten conditions I would stipulate.  I asked AI to take into consideration the principle of "subsidiarity," which is foundational to my church's understanding of Social Justice (a preference for bottom-up government vs socialist top-down government).  AI called it the "Ten Commandments of a Universal Basic Income". 

1.     UBI shall be a floor, not a ceiling — it secures dignity but never limits initiative.

2.     UBI shall remain unconditional — no political loyalty tests, surveillance, or behavioural requirements.

3.     UBI shall be protected in law, entrenched constitutionally or statutorily against arbitrary cancellation.

4.     UBI shall not replace families or communities — it complements, never substitutes, local solidarity.

5.     UBI shall be locally administered — municipalities and community groups share responsibility, preventing over-centralization.

6.     UBI shall be transparently managed — open reporting, independent audits, and citizen oversight are mandatory.

7.     UBI shall be modest but sufficient — enough to secure basic dignity without discouraging participation in society.

8.     UBI shall require a supermajority or referendum for change — rules cannot be altered lightly by future governments.

9.     UBI shall guarantee legal recourse — citizens can challenge unfair changes in court.

10. UBI shall be future-proofed against abuse — civic education and cultural reinforcement ensure subsidiarity and solidarity remain guiding values.

 

Whether you're a believer or a skeptic, you owe it to your children's future to write and make recommendations for amendments to Bill S-206 now, before it's presented for a vote by our MPs, like Carney's budget, and 5 Conservatives abstained.  I say "amendments" because, knowing Cagey Carney, there's no way this bill is going to be rejected even if it takes a private "conversion. conversation" with an MP or two.

How Canada broke its own economy

By the 1930s, the limits of tariffs and external borrowing were obvious. The Depression made capital scarce, private borrowing expensive, and foreign lenders reluctant. Canada needed a domestic institution that could provide liquidity during crises and long-term capital for national projects.


The Bank of Canada, created in 1935 and nationalized in 1938, became that instrument. From the late 1930s to the early 1970s, the Bank frequently purchased government debt using money it created. Any interest paid on those bonds flowed back to Ottawa as Bank profits, which meant the borrowing was effectively interest-free. This was sovereign credit in the plain meaning of the term.


It did not eliminate market discipline. It allowed the state to finance long-lived public works at minimal cost while private markets continued to operate in every other sphere.

Bill C-9 - be afraid

Bill C-9 would amend the Criminal Code to create a new intimidation offence for conduct intended to provoke a state of fear in a person.

It should be corrected to say "actions", not "conduct".  Because sticks and stones will break your bones, but names will never hurt you.  That's what we should be teaching our kids.

Bill C-9 could criminalize the expression of religious beliefs.  Bill C-9 is considered to be a "hate speech" law.
