💥 💥 Justin Trudeau faced sharp criticism over his decision to call an election during the pandemic, while Erin O’Toole was repeatedly challenged on mandatory vaccinations and child care during the first French-language debate of the federal campaign.
The Liberal and Conservative leaders shared a stage with Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh in Montreal during the debate organized by the Quebec television network TVA. The French and English debates organized by the Leaders’ Debates Commission will take place on Sept. 8 and 9.
Other flashpoints included a heated exchange between Mr. Blanchet and Mr. Singh over a 2020 incident when the NDP Leader was kicked out of the House of Commons for accusing the Bloc of racism for not supporting a motion about systemic racism in the RCMP.
The first debate is a key moment in a federal election campaign that is already past the halfway mark toward voting day on Sept. 20.

You can also contact your Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) and demand “no vaccine certificate” for the Province of Ontario. Dear Mr. Ford,
I am reading disturbing reports in news media that you are contemplating vaccine passports or certificates of some sort, thus segregating the Ontario population and discriminating against those who, for various valid reasons, have chosen not to get injected with experimental vaccines that have questionable efficacy and pose a very real danger of death or injury.
The official U.S. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (https://vaers.hhs.gov/), for example, showed a total of 438,441 reports of adverse events from all age groups following COVID vaccine injections, including 9,048 deaths and 41,015 serious injuries, between Dec. 14, 2020 and July 2, 2021 (https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/cdc-vaers-deaths-reported-covid-vaccines/).
And the European counterpart, EudraVigilance (https://www.adrreports.eu/en/index.html) lists 17,503 deaths and 1.7 million injuries (50 per cent of them serious) following COVID vaccine injections in the E.U. through to July 3, 2021 (https://healthimpactnews.com/2021/17503-dead-1-7-million-injured-50-serious-reported-in-european-unions-database-of-adverse-drug-reactions-for-covid-19-shots/).
I trust you will not coerce and browbeat the Ontario population into being injected with such dangerous, unproven substances.
Further, instituting vaccine passports or certificates will further ravage our economy, as many people will stay away from businesses that require the production of such documents.
Do the right thing and stick to your commitment, expressed recently, not to create a split society. It is indeed our constitutional right to take or not to take such potentially damaging treatments. NO ONE should be forced to do anything.

The Canada Elections Act does not include rules banning members of Parliament — or potential prime ministers — from holding dual citizenship.
Stéphanie Plante from the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Citizenship and Minorities explains how this makes sense for Canada.
“It’s kind of this idea that your patriotism is determined by where you were born,” she said. “I like to think that as Canadians, we’re really past that.”
The government of Australia doesn’t think so. Between 2018-2019, fifteen Australian MPs and senators were removed from office for violating a constitutional rule prohibiting federal political candidates from holding dual citizenship.
Stephanie Plante must be unimpressed. But would this policy not be an astute move for Canada? Dual citizenship has become commonplace in Parliament, particularly under the rule of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
