It feels as if the world is spinning out of control, doesn’t it?
This leaves many Christians wondering if we are seeing biblical prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetimes. In Luke 21:10–11, Jesus gave His disciples a glimpse of what the world would be like during the end times: “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.”
As if that weren’t dire enough, look at the apostle Paul’s description of the last days: “In the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power” (2 Timothy 3:1–5).
When we read these descriptions in Scripture and compare them with current events, it’s natural for Christians to wonder, “Are we living in the end times?”

They Want to Silence Our Legal Rights To Religious Expression:
Bloc Québécois Leader, Quebec MP Yves-François Blanchet, latest private members bill threatens your fundamental Freedoms of Religion, Speech, and Expression.
Bill C-367 was just tabled within the House of Commons by Blanchet.
The aim of this Bill is to amend the Criminal Code of Canada in a way that effectively erodes your right to express your religious beliefs, especially when being accused of committing the “horrendious crime” of “hate speech”.
Blanchet, alarmingly, defended his amendments as an effort to "maintain peace" and prevent the misuse of religious beliefs to promote hatred.
He is trying to hide how Bill C-367 will criminalize the open expression of one’s faith within the public sphere, whether it be the physical or digital public square.
Don't let this bill remove you of your precious rights. Stand up for freedom. Sign the petition now.
The legislation in question would remove Paragraphs 319(3)(b) and 319(3.1)(b) of the Criminal Code, which provide essential legal defenses in order to defend an individual for expressing his or her religious beliefs.
With these proposed deletions, every Canadian's right to publicly share their religious beliefs will lie unprotected, vulnerable to baseless accusations of “spreading hate” and potential legal consequences.
Further compounding the problem is our current political climate.
The authoritarian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has expressed an openness to considering Blanchet's motion, especially given the current local and global uneasiness regarding the ongoing brutal religious conflict within Gaza.
If Bill C-367 became law, Canadians would be stripped of their freedom to practice their faiths.
Legally ambiguous phrases like "hate speech" and "hate crime"—which Peel Regional Police states do not exist as crimes under the Criminal Code —could be weaponized against those simply seeking to express his or her convictions.
With sections 319(3)(b) and 319(3.1)(b) removed from the Criminal Code, the line of defense in court will be illegal and invalid when individuals are accused of a "hate crime" for expressing his or her beliefs.
This amendment is not just removing a legal defense - it's an assault on your way of life.
Yet, there is hope with increasing rumors and rumblings regarding a sudden federal election.
Our elected officials will not want to risk not listening to their constituents, especially with supposedly a snap election around the corner.

· If the Biden administration thinks that the Palestinian Authority leaders will cease inciting Palestinians against Israel, they need to think again.

More than three months have passed since Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel, during which hundreds of Israelis were murdered, beheaded, raped, mutilated, and kidnapped -- and it is still hard to find any senior Palestinian Authority official who is prepared to condemn the atrocities.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who has held a number of meetings over the past few weeks with senior US administration officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, has refrained from publicly denouncing the Iran-backed Hamas terror group for its barbaric attacks on Israelis.
Abbas, it appears, fears a backlash from his people and other Arabs if he speaks out against the murder of Israeli women, children, and the elderly. One word against Hamas and its terrorism, and Abbas' people might well label him a "traitor" and "collaborator" with Israel.

The worst thing I saw in Tommy Robinson’s court hearing today:
I came to London to report on the latest legal battle for Tommy Robinson, the journalist and activist.
You might recall, Tommy was attending the big London march against antisemitism a couple of months ago, as a journalist — and as a supporter of the Jews.
But instead of welcoming him, Gideon Falter, one of the left-wing organizers of the march, asked police to remove Tommy. Not because Tommy did anything wrong. Just that his presence there made Falter "tense".
It was crazy.
Even crazier, the police obeyed — and grabbed Tommy, handcuffed him, and pepper-sprayed him in the face, all because some thin-skin leftist didn't like him. And they've banned him from even setting foot in London, to this day! So, Tommy is challenging that outrageous arrest. That's what today's court hearing was about. But something even more astonishing happened. Why is a reporter so obsessed with having Tommy Robinson's home address read out in court? The lawyers involved in the case know where he lives, the judge presiding over the case knows where he lives and the police know where he lives. He's not in court for a crime that occurred at that address.
And yet despite being on the receiving end of numerous death threats, “the judge ruled you have to now read out your address,” Tommy Robinson told Rebel News boss Ezra Levant, who travelled to England to cover today's trial.
“This case has nothing to do with a dispersal order, that incident there [about the address], is nothing to do with justice it's to do with damaging me, endangering me. This is an attack on freedom of speech, this is an attack on me personally, it's an attack on freedom of the press,” Robinson said.
Robinson is facing charges stemming from a protest on November 26, 2023. He was charged during a march against antisemitism, with officers ordering Robinson to leave the area while he was at a restaurant. After refusing to leave, Robinson, who said he was covering the event as a journalist, was pepper-sprayed and charged with failure to disperse.
As part of the conditions placed on him, Robinson has been barred from entering London. “The whole thing's absurd,” Robinson remarked.
“No matter what, police had made the decision I was being arrested,” he said of the November antisemtism rally. “The reason being, so they could give me the conditions that I've had now for three months — going to be six months. Do not enter London, do not attend rallies.”
An organizer of the march described Robinson's presence as making him feel tense. That argument goes both ways, Robinson said, saying pro-Hamas rallies “made the whole country feel tense.”
Those rallies have “caused us national distress week in, week out,” Robinson tells Rebel News, adding, “None of these conditions are being put on any Islamic radicals, any jihadists. Nothing.”
Explaining how these incidents become twisted and distorted, he continued:
They say I was trying to flee. But what they do is, when it gets to trial, they'll read out those statements or the police officers will say those things. The papers will then run: 'Tommy Robinson tried to attack police officer and flee'.
And then when I get convicted, the media will pump that, and that's what happens. Time and time again. It's a total fabrication, it's not reality. Everyone saw what I was arrested for.

Did you get that? It's normal practice for an accused to state his full name, date of birth and home address in court. But in Tommy's case, he can't publicize his home address — because he's been the target of no fewer than twelve bona fide death threats, including from terrorists. Tommy wrote down his address to show the judge privately. But a reporter from the Evening Standard stood up in court and demanded that Tommy reveal his home address to the entire courtroom — so that the Evening Standard could publish it!
And shockingly, the judge agreed.
Watching a left-wing journalist and a left-wing judge work together to reveal Tommy's home address was the most shocking thing I've seen in a long time. (Tommy simply answered "no fixed address" — he wouldn't reveal where his wife and kids are.)
I have never seen such a thing in my life.

The trial will continue on April 22nd — and given what I've seen today, I know I'd better be there.
It's not enough to tell the truth about Tommy. We have to rebut the malicious lies of the rest of the media.

Joy Reid's own MSNBC account destroys her argument for allowing sexually explicit books in public schools: 'XXXXX-XX-XXXXX'
Asocial media account for MSNBC host Joy Reid proved why sexually explicit materials are not acceptable in any environment at any time.
On Friday, Reid debated Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice over what Reid called "book bans," referring to the movement of parents demanding that sexually explicit and woke books be removed from school libraries.
At one point during the frustrating interview — in which Reid repeatedly interrupted Justice and barely allowed her to answer questions or make rebuttals — Reid invoked "All Boys Aren't Blue," a controversial book replete with abusive and sexually explicit material. Reid claimed that parents are taking "out-of-context" passages from the book to make their removal demands and asserted that such parents do not hold sufficient "expertise" to make clams about the book.
"What is the expertise that you have, and other Moms for Liberty advocates have to decide that a book, an award-winning book like 'All Boys Aren't Blue,' isn't appropriate for students read?" Reid asked.
"What a tragic story of a young man who is anally raped by his adult family members. So, you have incest, rape, pedophilia," Justice responded. "In what context is a strap-on dildo acceptable for public school? That's my question to you.
"Tell me what context around a strap-on dildo or the rape of a minor child by a teacher —" she continued when Reid interrupted her.
The MSNBC host tried to discredit Justice by asking her what the main character's name is in "All Boy's Aren't Blue," a question Justice answered correctly.
Reid, however, never answered Justice's question but expressed offense that Justice would dare make an inquiry of her.
"What I am saying to you is you are not an expert in this book," Reid later said.
"I don't have to be an expert to know that dildos are not appropriate for public school, I mean, come on. Let's get real," Justice shot back.
The X account for Reid's show, "The ReidOut," later posted the exchange about "All Boy's Aren't Blue."
Ironically, the post censored the phrase "strap-on dildo" — instead writing "XXXXX-XX-XXXXX" — thus proving Justice's argument that groups of people, organizations, and society make concerted decisions that some words and content are not appropriate for any and every circumstance.
If Joy Reid isn't comfortable writing "strap-on dildo" on X, why does she demand that it be made available to children in public schools? Activist Christopher Rufo noted

School Choice: an Idea Worth Reviving!
Teach me more! I just learned something.
“As shown in table 1, eight of the 12 Western European countries with the largest economies recognize freedom of education in their constitutions, and all make provisions for school choice in domestic legislation. All fund non-public schools...”
For years now, if not decades, parents have watched with disappointment as school boards and the Ministry of Education promise over and over to do better. It is clearly not getting better, so we must admit facts: no small tweaks can fix a mega-system such as we now have.
A viable way to change the system for the better involves making schools accountable – not by them claiming to be accountable, but by actual competition that ensures better educators get more funding, and incompetents drop off.
Some of us still remember the concept: MERIT. It does not resonate with the post-modernist magical thinking crowd, that believes (with no proof to offer) that “equity” training will fix everything. We’re seeing the dire results from that reality; even Harvard University got that lesson recently, finding out their equity hire apparently plagiarized material and was forced to step down.
I will pull a few points from the recent article by Derek Allison, Professor Emeritus at the University of Western Ontario. Published by the Fraser Institute, the many charts and footnotes provided are not included here; rather, a few of the main concepts are highlighted as a possible way to escape the juggernaut of the current over-centralized bureaucracy that cannot seem to rectify its issues.
Noting that some provinces and many US states provide the option of sending one’s children to private schools with public funding, Professor Allison questions the discriminatory nature of Ontario's limited choices (bolding added for emphasis):
“Ontario’s continuing rejection of school choice not only perpetuates a near monopoly by government over our children’s education and the province’s economic future, it also actively discriminates against ordinary families not wealthy enough to afford an unsubsidized alternative to a government school. This injustice is exacerbated by the $30 billion or so annually extracted from taxpayers to exclusively fund government schools. [3] Can such discrimination against ordinary parents and their children continue to be justified in the province with Canada’s largest economy...”?
Another concern may even be more relevant to parents, in light of recent ideological “lessons” being pushed in the public system that do not align with many people’s religious views. In fact, some of these concepts are utterly objectionable, and certainly radical in the framework of traditional teaching. As Allison politely puts it:
“Parents may also have practical concerns with their child’s progress or treatment in their assigned public school, or be dissatisfied with how their concerns have been addressed, worried about how their beliefs, values, religion, and/ or culture are being treated. Or, they may simply desire a different education for their child: more progressive, more traditional; classically grounded; sports, arts, or STEM weighted; or any other coherent curriculum acceptable in a free and democratic society.”
Certainly Table 1 should be viewed in the article, where important statistical comparisons regarding partial public funding for independent schools can be seen for several provinces and some other nations:
“As shown in table 1, eight of the 12 Western European countries with the largest economies recognize freedom of education in their constitutions, and all make provisions for school choice in domestic legislation. All fund non-public schools...”
“The four Canadian provinces with the largest provincial GDP are included for comparison. Three have legislated provision for school choice, but none fund independent schools at 70% or higher of public school support. Ontario is conspicuous as the only jurisdiction without enabling legislation and no financial support whatsoever for school choice.
Now, certainly these independent schools would not operate in a do-as-we-please manner. Receiving public monies, they would have to comply with regulations and accept supervision. The current system is inflexible, entitled, and I do believe that with the introduction of the competition factor (such as found in the real world), we would see marked changes and improvements. Like lazy teenagers, the whole system appears to thumb its nose at parents’ concerns and cries for change.
I will cite a last quote from Prof. Alison - one I fully agree with. Having taught in smaller private schools for decades, I observed first-hand the high degree of accountability that exists when salary rests on your ability to deliver. This is the game-changer:
“...independent schools that perform poorly, whether funded or not, risk closure, a penalty not usually faced by government schools and their staff. A less obvious argument for funding independently operated schools is the positive effect on government schools. Meaningful choice brings government schools and their administrative superstructure into more direct competition with characteristically more innovative and nimble independent schools. In response, public schools and their administrative system can be stimulated to adopt changes that will make them more competitive. A recent review of 33 empirical studies of US school-choice programs by Forster (2016) found 31 that reported such improvements in public schools.”
We can imagine why, in 2003, Premier McGuinty was pressured to cancel the “reckless private school tax credit”, to the joy of the teachers’ unions. This initiative had not even had a chance to start making a dent in the public system.
Seeing the continual slide of academic excellence and accountability of school boards in a world where competition may be ramping up globally, we would do well to make a more serious attempt at a similar future Equity in Education Tax Credit (EETC) . Meanwhile, some parents cross their fingers and hope that Ministry words of encouragement will come true, that things will soon be different, but others have been gamed too often to buy it. The option of same-old-same-old gives little hope to parents...or to youth.

On Friday, the Biden administration announced that it would cancel the loans of another 74,000 student loan debtors, bringing the total number of debt cancellations to almost 3.7 million Americans.
The Biden administration has been disregarding the Supreme Court, which rejected Biden’s student loan relief scheme in June because it had not been approved by Congress.
The Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling was the result of six conservative justices voting to overturn the scheme, while three Leftist justices opposed it.
The Biden administration cited the 2003 Higher Education Relief Opportunities for Students Act (HEROES Act) to support its argument in favor of student loans, claiming that the loans were permitted in the event of a “national emergency,” but Chief Justice John Roberts stated that the 2003 act was “clearly before a department secretary can unilaterally alter large sections of the American economy.”
In announcing the new student loan recipients, President Biden claimed his administration was acting legally, “My Administration is able to deliver relief to these borrowers – and millions more – because of fixes we made to broken student loan programs that were preventing borrowers from getting relief they were entitled to under the law.”
Today’s statement builds on the progress we’ve made for students and student loan borrowers in recent years.
“And, in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision on our student debt relief plan, we are continuing to pursue an alternative path to deliver student debt relief to as many borrowers as possible as quickly as possible,” he said.
“From Day One of my Administration, I vowed to improve the student loan system so that a higher education provides Americans with opportunity and prosperity – not unmanageable burdens of student loan debt. I won’t back down from using every tool at our disposal to get student loan borrowers the relief they need to reach their dreams.”
The 2003 Heroes Act, enacted after the United States went to war following the 9/11 attacks, stated that the Secretary of Education could “waive or modify any statutory or regulatory provision applicable to the student financial assistance programs under title IV of the [Education Act] as the Secretary deems necessary in connection with a war, other military operation, or national emergency.”
The Secretary would be able to make such modifications or waivers “as may be necessary to ensure” the “recipients of student financial assistance under title IV of the [Education Act affected by a national emergency] are not placed in a worse position financially in relation to that financial assistance because of [the national emergency].”

The Secretary’s power under the Act to ‘modify’ does not permit ‘basic and fundamental changes in the scheme’ designed by Congress. MCI Telecommunications Corp. v. American Telephone & Telegraph Co., 512 U.S. 218–225.
Instead, ‘modify’ carries ‘a connotation of increment or limitation,’ and must be read to mean ‘to change moderately or in minor fashion.’ That is how the word is ordinarily used and defined, and the legal definition is no different.
But this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
With Biden’s poll numbers flagging and discontent with his leadership at all-time highs, he needs to make something happen. And forcing, essentially, a payoff to potential voters is the easiest way to ensure he can buy votes.

'We're pressing pause on' EVs: City's $5 million electric bus fleet breaks down:

Asheville, North Carolina, is looking to reinvest in biodiesel-powered buses after investing millions of dollars in an electric fleet that is only partly operable, WLOS reported.
Cities across America are starting to regret their massive electric bus investments as they continue to pour funds into costly, time-consuming repairs. Asheville purchased five Proterra electric buses in 2018 for $5 million. Since then, the city has spent more than $200,000 to build vehicle chargers. Additionally, Asheville spends $118,000 annually for the contract to lease the buses' batteries and another $45,481 to charge the vehicles, according to Asheville's interim transportation director, Jessica Morriss. "[I]f you added that altogether, I think, probably $900,000 to $1 million is what each one cost. And, since then, we've had to invest additional money into maintaining them and fixing them," she added.
Only two of the five EV buses are currently operating while the other three are out of service, while waiting for repairs. The city reported that the faulty buses have had several software and mechanical issues since they were delivered. One of the buses has been parked since July because the city cannot obtain a manufacturer replacement for a broken door. "We haven't been able to get new doors," Morriss explained. "There's no third party that makes a door. We'd have to get custom-made doors."
Morriss noted that maintenance costs, including replacing traction drive controls on all five buses, have cost the city an additional $251,000. According to maintenance director John McDaniel, several EV buses have needed new power inverters, which cost $14,000 each. Proterra filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August after receiving $10 million in COVID relief loans from the Paycheck Protection Program in 2020, which were ultimately forgiven. The EV company, which President Biden has praised, also received other government incentives and support.
"Since June 2023, we have had numerous issues with vehicles out of service for weeks and months," Morriss stated.
The two operating buses in Asheville's EV fleet are not performing well in the colder winter months. McDaniel explained that the buses could travel only about 78 miles, equivalent to about three trips to the airport, before they must be charged for several hours. With some of the buses broken down, the city is relying on its 32 biodiesel and hybrid buses to transport commuters. Asheville plans to spend another $550,000 each for two more biodiesel buses.
"There's some lessons here for sure. We're pressing pause on investing in any electric technology until we can assure the products, we get are going to be able to work," Morris remarked.
In September, all eight electric Proterra buses in Jackson, Wyoming, were out of commission, Blaze News previously reported. The town switched to its diesel-powered fleet to keep operations moving. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority invested in 25 Proterra buses, which it has not been able to use for over three years.

After years of wasting time, talent, and treasure on urban renewal projects in Baghdad and Kabul, the U.S. military is exhausted and the public’s resolve is depleted when it comes to deploying the military overseas. And rightly so. When we finally divested from the 20-year debacle in Iraq and Afghanistan, we immediately barreled headfirst into another long-standing ethnic territorial dispute in eastern Ukraine.
As such, there are understandably reactionary forces who will oppose any use of the military even when it’s justified. The idiocy of the neocon grift is driving some on the right to treat the Houthi attacks on shipping lanes as another foreign policy debacle we must ignore.
Except we cannot ignore it.
Until the half-hearted airstrikes last week, the Biden administration allowed a two-bit, goat-molesting, cholera-ridden group of primitives in Yemen to shut down global shipping in the Red Sea, endangering global trade, raising prices, and making products more difficult to come by.
Biden’s passive approach to the Houthi declaration of war on shipping is not merely an exercise in weak foreign policy, emblematic of a Defense Department whose Cabinet secretary was hospitalized with nobody in the chain of command aware of his dire situation. It is yet another subterfuge to ensure the cost of living domestically remains high. There is simply no other way to interpret how the Houthis can continue their piracy operations in the face of our $1 trillion annual defense spending with the greatest naval and air power the world has seen.
According to Port Watch, the seven-day moving average of shipping at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is down a whopping 54% over the past month. Metric tons of trade coming through the strait are down by more than 50% as shipping costs from China to Europe surge uncontrollably.
Why would we need a coalition of 13 countries to deal with a bunch of cavemen?
At the current trajectory, if the Houthis are not stopped, shipping at this critical outlet of the Red Sea into the Gulf of Aden will grind to a halt.
The Houthis have attacked more than two dozen ships in the Red Sea since November. This has forced most ships to reroute around Africa and the Cape of Good Hope. Given that roughly 30% of global container shipping carrying over 1 billion tons of goods worth $1 trillion per year sails through the Suez Canal, this disruption will harm consumers and producers worldwide.
In recent years, more than twice the tonnage of cargo has traversed the Suez Canal as the Panama Canal, which, incidentally, is also suffering from reduced shipping volume due to a severe drought.
Rerouting shipping around the horn of Africa adds up to 22 days of travel for fuel tankers traveling from the Middle East to Europe. Ikea announced that the de facto shipping embargo through the Red Sea “will lead to delays and may limit the availability of some products.”
Thus far, the Houthis have used anti-ship ballistic missiles, drones, attack helicopters, and old-fashioned piracy tactics to harass and even capture ships traveling the Gulf of Aden to the Red Sea. The Houthis have even directly challenged U.S. warships in the region, yet the U.S. Navy has so far declined to launch a sustained counteroffensive against Houthi infrastructure.
On January 3, the United States, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom released a statement warning that they are “determined to hold malign actors accountable for unlawful seizures and attacks.” The alliance was designated “Operation Prosperity Guardian.”
But these threats ring hollow given how much leeway the Biden administration has given the primitive terrorists for nearly two months. Why would we need a coalition of 13 countries to deal with a bunch of cavemen? For an small fraction of the cost of our aid to Ukraine, we could wipe out their capability to launch these attacks. Why else have such an expensive and robust military?
Last week, Biden ordered the military to lob a few missiles at Yemen, a move reminiscent of Bill Clinton’s vanity bombing of an aspirin factory in Sudan on August 20, 1998, following al-Qaeda’s attack on the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. None of this has deterred the Houthis, as they launched a missile at the U.S.-owned, Greek-operated Chem Ranger on Thursday. That followed a pair of attacks on the U.S.-owned Gibraltar Eagle and the Genco Picardy earlier in the week.
Even Biden conceded, “Are they stopping the Houthis? No. Are they going to continue? Yes.”
Clearly, the Biden administration doesn’t want to antagonize its Iranian friends, who are sponsors of the Houthis. Also, because the piracy is primarily targeting Israel, the Biden administration likely believes that the Houthi attack could become an ancillary benefit in grinding Israel’s offensive in Gaza to a halt.
Don’t discount the fact that the Biden administration is also embracing the opportunity to harm American consumers along with Israelis. Roughly 10% of all global oil transports pass through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. A little more than half of all liquid natural gas trade moves east through the Suez Canal. As we saw with the onset of the Ukraine-Russia war, the left views an oil crisis as an opportunity to wean us off sustainable and prosperous living in favor of its dystopian dream of carbon-free — aka human-free — living.
Early indications show that the U.S.-led coalition letter was all bluster. The crew of a Singapore-flagged ship sailing through the straits earlier this month transmitted a message “no link to Israel” in order to protect themselves. Singapore happens to be one of the coalition members. They are clearly trying to appease the Houthis and Iran by isolating Israel and complying with their demands.
Enough of this. Congress needs pass a binding resolution to establish a kill zone perimeter within the straits authorizing the destruction of any Iranian asset that comes near a cargo ship. We don’t need to get involved in the land-based Islamic civil war among the Houthis, the Saudi-backed Hadi government, and al-Qaeda in Yemen itself, as the Wall Street Journal editorial board and neocons are advocating. But we also must not become a bunch of weak pacifists in response to the inane Wilsonian policies of past Republican leaders.
Our trillion-dollar military is now immeasurably superior to the small forces that existed when Thomas Jefferson dispatched the Navy to vanquish the Barbary pirates, while the Houthis are not any less primitive than their early 19th-century North African predecessors. If we can’t keep the shipping lanes open 200 years later, why go deeper into debt to keep funding this military?

· There’s United States Coast Guards with United States Navy at their stations. USCG is known as the Department of Homeland Security during Peacetime and transferred to the Department of the Navy during Wartime.
